For years, Patrick Hansen knew something wasn’t right. It wasn’t until a persistent general practitioner stepped in that Patrick finally discovered the truth - he had a paratesticular liposarcoma, a rare and often overlooked cancer.
While not testicular cancer as we typically know it, Patrick details the challenges of navigating misdiagnosis, the shock of learning his tumor was malignant weeks after surgery, and the grueling process of undergoing 33 rounds of radiation. He also opens up about the lasting effects on his health, including hormonal changes and his journey with testosterone replacement therapy.
Through it all, Patrick urges others to trust their instincts, push for answers, and speak openly about their bodies. His story is a powerful lesson in persistence and the critical importance of self-advocacy.
