How to put Outlook Tasks on your Calendar Open Outlook and navigate to the Calendar view. Open the To Do list (or My Day) alongside your calendar. In the new Outlook, this is often accessed through the "My Day" button on the toolbar. In the classic Outlook, you may need to go to View > To-Do Bar > Tasks. Locate the task you want to schedule. Drag the task from the To Do list and drop it onto the desired date and time on your calendar. Optionally, resize the calendar event to block out the time needed to complete the task. The task is now linked to the calendar event. Any changes you make to the task in To Do will be reflected in the calendar event, and vice versa.
You can also create a calendar event directly from an email: by dragging the email to the To Do list and then dragging the resulting task to the calendar.
