After two and a hafl years of recording, we are hitting the pause button to recharge and refocus. It's not a sign-off, but rather a short intermission in our content creation journey. While we're away, we encourage you to explore our 135 past episodes and let us know what you're eager to hear more about in our show. Your input is our guiding light, and it'll help us tailor future content to your interests. We'll keep the conversation going on social media, promoting our best work and seeking your valuable feedback. Remember, this isn't goodbye. We're merely taking a short breather, and we promise to return in 2024, reenergized and ready to deliver even more engaging and enriching content. Speaker 1 (00:05):
Hi Russ.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Dana good morning.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Good morning, how are you?

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Living the dream, as it were.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
So we have an update for listeners.
Russ and I are going to take alittle bit of a break.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Yeah.
So I mean we've been running atthis, you know, 140 straight
weeks of dropping episodes anddoing content and trying to run
a business and trying to growand learn, and I think that
we're kind of tuckered out.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Yeah, I mean we've done 135 episodes of content
that we've created and thenobviously our guest episodes,
and it's a lot we record onSaturdays.
So it's, you know, in additionto our full-time jobs, and I
think both of us are feeling alittle bit burned out and that

(00:57):
we can't give.
I know I was feeling like I waskind of half-assing the podcast
and so we decided to take alittle pause to kind of
recuperate.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
I think we're both kind of phoning in a little bit
and that wasn't fair to ourguests or our listeners and you
know, trying to put out reallygood content.
I mean we still were learningand there was still value in
everything.
I just I feel like it couldhave been better and we want to
bring that to people.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Yeah, so we're planning on coming back after a
restful break in 2024.
But in the meantime, there'sstill plenty of episodes that
you can listen to.
And let us know what you wouldwant to see from the podcast in
the future.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Yeah, absolutely Reach out and touch base.
I mean, obviously it's a touchof burnout, to be perfectly
honest, and we just want to giveourselves an opportunity to not
crash and burn, maybe kind ofrebound and come back at this
stronger in 2024.
We do appreciate your supportand you know those of you who
are here are very loyallisteners and we appreciate you

(02:07):
greatly.
We didn't want to just step offwithout saying anything.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
And we're not breaking up.
Russ and I love each otherdearly.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Absolutely.
This is not it, it's not me,it's you, it's you, it's not you
it's me.
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
But no, I think it's a good time for us to really
think about what type ofepisodes we want to do in the
future.
And we're still Russ, not me.
Russ is still keeping an eye onsocial.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
So I think I'm just going to keep promoting some of
our great stuff.
I'm going to try to startchanging our message a little
bit, just so we can kind of growour audience still a little bit
more.
I think there are things wecould be doing better and we
just don't have the time tryingto run a business and I mean
obviously not everybody is goingto turn into I don't know who's

(02:55):
a great business podcast, Idon't know.
There's some really great onesout there in the top.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Amy Porterfield or Jenna Kutcher?

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Yeah, yeah, not everybody can be them, and
that's okay, we don't need to bethem.
But at the same time, we're notmaking money, so this isn't a
profit center for us.
So we have to focus on ourbusinesses and the things that
pay our mortgage and feed our,my kids and your dog.
So this is yeah, this is just.
We just need to take a break.
We're tired.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Yeah, yeah.
So with that, we very muchappreciate the continued support
and listenership and, again,it's a great time for you to
give us some feedback about whatyou'd like to see in the future
, and we'll plan to be back in2024 with more content and maybe
a little bit of redirection.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Yeah, and do please interact with us on social.
We don't get a lot of it and weknow we weren't growing the
audience there and I'm going totry to change that up a little
bit.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah, yeah.
So with that, I think we'rejust going to leave it at that.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
We'll see you, we're taking a break.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
It's not personal, it's just business.
There you go.
