betrayal, trust and how humannature can take us to some dark
places.
But we're also digging deeperinto why, behind the crime, like
the emotional pain that drivesus to make decisions we can't
really undo.
But here's a twist.
It's not about the crime.
It's about you and how youlearn from these stories, how

(01:03):
you grow, how you take theselessons into your own lives.

betrayal, something we've allexperienced or fear to

in trust, deep wounds thatspiral into tragedy, a family, a
betrayal, a crime that no onesaw coming.

This isn't just about whathappened.
It's about what happens insideus when people we trust the most
lets us down.
As we uncover the crime, we'llalso uncover something bigger

Let's go ahead and jump intothe episode.
It begins with an ordinaryfamily member, a picture perfect

(02:53):
life on the outside, if youwill Meet Henry, a loving spouse
, and Gary, a partner-seemingY'all clearly I messed up.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
I don't name two men.
Okay, let's try to find afemale name Oops.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
It begins with an ordinary family, a
picture-perfect life on theoutside.
Meet Gary, a loving spouse, andAmy, a partnership seemingly
built on trust.
They lived under the same roof, shared the same dreams, so we
say, and made plans for thefuture.
But beneath this serene facade,an indigenous seed was being

(03:30):
planted.
Don't get too fixated on thefact that it's a male and a
female.
This can be a relationship withyour friend, with your boss,
with your business partner, withanyone.
It happens from theperspectives of thinking that
you and someone has built trustand then there's a breakdown in
that trust.
For years, small cracksappeared in their relationship

(03:51):
silent looks, cold shoulders, things left unsaid.
But it wasn't until one fatefulmoment that the betrayal
erupted.
Gary had no idea that theirclosest confidant, someone they
trusted more than anyone, washiding a devastating truth.
Betrayal in its most indigenousform took root.

(04:13):
Betrayal isn't just an act.
It's the breaking of the bond,a deep emotional wound, and
what's worse, that it was nomere accident.
The perpetrator here had theirown internal struggles, wounds
from the past and a broken heartthat had never healed.
As the truth unraveled, garywas left in shock, wondering how

(04:36):
they could have been so blind.
The emotional toil crushing.
The trust was shattered and thecrime devastating.
No one should be surprised.
These are things Gary sawcoming, amy saw and told Gary
about.
But within the midst ofeverything that was unfolding,
it all seems so shocking.

(04:57):
It all seems so new.
But why?
Why is it so new?
Why is it so shocking?
This wasn't the first time theysaw that Gary was doing these
things.
Amy had known Gary to brushthings under the rug, to not put
things forward, to not followthrough.
But for some reason, not onlywere they shocked at what was

(05:19):
going on, they were shocked ateach other's response.
In these quiet moments, the truenature of betrayal became
evident.
The emotional cost of this actfor both the victim and the
perpetrator was far beyond whatanyone expected.
What began as a fracturedrelationship would now spiral
into a violent, irreversiblecrime.

(05:41):
And yet, beneath the anger andthe heartbreak, there was an
undeniable truth.
Both parties were trapped bytheir own unresolved pain, their
own trauma, their own triggers, their own lack of healing.
Betrayal cuts deep.
It's one of those wounds thatcan erode everything.
But what we fail to understandis that betrayal isn't just

(06:04):
about the act itself.
It's about the emotionaldestruction that leads up to it,
sorry.
When we ignore our wounds, whenwe bury the pain, it festers
until it has to come out, sometimes in the form of
betrayal.
Let's pause here and reflect.
We've all felt it the sting oftrust broken, the weight of

(06:25):
someone's action shattering ourbelief in them.
But here's where it getspersonal.
What did the betrayal revealabout you?
How do you shake you to yourcore and how do you respond?
Did it push you intoself-awareness or did you react
blindly, in pain?
What if we saw betrayal as anopportunity for growth, not just

(06:48):
an emotional wound?
What if, instead of reacting inanger or hurt, we took a moment
to explore our own emotionallandscape?
Because here's the truthBetrayal doesn't only reveal the
one who betrayed you.
It reveals you when you look atthe perpetrator.
It's easy to demoralize them, but, like us, they were driven

(07:10):
by their own fears, their ownsecurities, their own emotional
baggage.
And unless we confront our ownpain, we'll keep repeating these
same patterns over and over andover and over.
This is where self-awarenessbecomes critical.
It's easy to place blame, buttrue healing it comes when we

(07:31):
look within ourselves, when weunderstand our own
vulnerabilities, emotionaltriggers and what we need to do
to heal.
Take a second reflect, thinkabout your past betrayals.
Don't dwell on the hurt, buttry to understand how it shaped
you.
What are you still carryingfrom those past wounds?
Let's face it betrayal isn'tjust about the person who

(07:53):
wronged us.
It is about our response, ourability to heal, and how we
build stronger boundaries,moving forward, self-awareness,
forgiveness and healing.
Emotional healing it startswith understanding the deeper
layers of who you are.
As we close out today's episode,I want to leave you with this

(08:13):
Betrayal is painful, no oneargues that.
But the real question is whatwill you do with the pain?
Will you let it define you orwill it be the catalyst for your
growth?
Every person who's ever feltthe sting of betrayal has an
opportunity to heal.
Healing doesn't mean forgettingthe hurt, but rather using it
to create stronger, morefulfilling relationships.

(08:35):
It's about understanding ourown emotional boundaries and
being more in tune with ourtriggers.
So take a moment right now.
Are there betrayals in yourlife that you're still holding
onto People or situations thathurt you deeply?
What would it take for you tobegin the process of healing
today?
Not for them, but for you?
Remember, trust is fragile, butit can be rebuilt by learning

(08:59):
from the hurt and embracing thelessons it teaches us.
How can you use today's storyto create a better tomorrow,
free from the weight of pastbetrayals?
And this wraps up our firstexperiment with true crimes,

(09:20):
crimes of the soul, unravelingthe truth.
This episode wasn't just aboutbetrayal.
It's about stepping outside thebox.
It's about taking risks, exploring the experience from a
new angle and really beingwilling to fail out loud.
You see, often we think that wehave to be perfect before we
try.
But what if we just live?

(09:40):
What if we just embrace themessy, the uncomfortable and the
bold moments?
We talked a lot in the previousepisode about the messy middle
and for me, when I realized thatthe podcast monetized, I said
to myself you always wanted totry true crimes.
Why not just try it?
And I did.
And that's what we did withthis episode.
While it was funky it wasdefinitely funky it was messy.

(10:05):
I just want to challenge youright now.
What's one thing you've beenwanting to do, but maybe you've
been held back, something's beenholding you back from it.
What's that one risk you'vebeen afraid to take?
Don't wait for the perfectmoment, because, guess what?
The perfect moment doesn'texist.
You have one life, one chance,so why not take the leap?

(10:27):
Why not live now?
Fail now, laugh now, take theaction and watch yourself grow.
This episode is a glimpse intothe journey.
We're all on the journey ofliving boldly, authentically and
fully.
And remember, just like on theit's Human Experience podcast
because that's what this is I'mnot doing a true crime episode

(10:48):
for real, in real life.
I'm not doing a whole notherpodcast.
I don't know what I wasthinking, but we're here to grow
together.
We're here to break free fromthe limitations that hold us
back and really embrace thebeautiful, messy process of
becoming who we're meant to be.
So until next time, I'm gonnamake sure that I ask you to

fail to learn, to grow?
