I'm so excited about divinginto Psalm 91 with you three
ladies, so welcome back CharityDegonia, Olivia Frazier and
(01:11):
Laila Davis.
Laila is in our AbideLeadership class and I think
this is the first time you'vedone the podcast class with us,
so we're excited to have youhere.
So, if you are listening andyou're able, please grab your
Bible and a notebook, a pen, take some good notes, if you're
able and open up to Psalm 91.
(01:32):
And that's where we're going tobegin, but first I'm going to
just lead us in prayer.
Father, God, we are so gratefulfor the opportunity to open your
word today and, God, we ask youto prepare the hearts of every
listener to receiveencouragement and strength, God,
from your word.
(01:53):
We know your word is living andactive.
It is powerful.
It is a weapon you say, it's asword, God.
So today, Lord, we just praythere would be an anointing over
every word that is spoken andthat your name would be honored
and glorified as we open yourword and we share our hearts.
(02:15):
God, we love you, Lord, and weask you to lead every part of
this discussion.
We need you, Holy Spirit, andwe invite you in in Jesus' holy,
holy, holy name.
Amen.
Olivia, I believe you're goingto open us up by reading Psalm
(02:36):
91 aloud.
Okay, what version?
Olivia Frazier (02:38):
are you in?
I'm in the CSB version.
Okay, awesome, okay.
Psalm 91.
The one who lives under theprotection of the Most High
dwells in the shadow of theAlmighty, I will say, concerning
the Lord, who is my refuge andmy fortress, my God, in whom I
trust.
He himself will rescue you fromthe bird trap, from the
(02:59):
destructive plague.
He will cover you with hisfeathers.
You will take refuge under hiswings.
His faithfulness will be aprotective shield.
You will not fear the terror ofthe night, the arrow that flies
by day, the plague that stalksin darkness or the pestilence
that ravages at noon.
Though a thousand fall at yourside and ten thousand at your
(03:19):
right hand, the pestilence willnot reach you.
You will only see it with youreyes and witness the punishment
of the wicked.
Because you have made the Lord,my refuge, the Most High, your
dwelling place, no harm willcome to you, no plague will come
near your tent, for he willgive his angels orders
concerning you to protect you inall your ways.
(03:39):
They will support you withtheir hands so that you will not
strike your foot against astone.
You will tread on the footagainst a stone.
You will tread on the lion andthe cobra.
You will trample the young lionand the serpent, because he has
his heart set on me.
I will deliver him.
I will protect him because heknows my name.
When he calls out to me, I willanswer him.
I will be with him in trouble,I will rescue him and give him
(04:02):
honor.
Kim McIntire (04:08):
I will satisfy him
with a long life and show him
my salvation.
Amen.
Psalm 91 is my go-to chapterfor spiritual warfare and this
is something I share in theAbide class.
We who follow Jesus haveseasons of life where we come
under attack from the enemy.
Right ladies, yes, and thereare so many things we can do to
(04:29):
combat the enemy.
We can praise we know praise isa weapon.
We can speak the name of Jesuswe know that's powerful.
We can get on our knees andpray and we can take God's word
and use it like a sword.
And I just want to mention thisto listeners If you haven't ever
(04:51):
taken God's word and I'mtalking about the literal, like
brick and mortar Bible that youhold If you've never just taken
God's word and held it up like asword in front of you while
you're just proclaiming truth, you really should practice that,
(05:12):
because what we do in thephysical is mirrored in the
spiritual and the enemy can seeus.
He watches us closely, actually, and I don't believe there's a
devil behind every bush.
I think you can get like overly, you know, a little bit over
the top with that, but the Biblesays there is an enemy.
He seeks to kill still anddestroy the people of God.
And when the the enemy's comingagainst your marriage, your
(05:36):
children, your family, yourministry, your finances, your
health, you best be getting theword of God and use it like the
sword that it is.
And so Psalm 91 is one of ourweapons of warfare.
And I want to just start withtalking about the four names of
God in the first two verses.
(05:57):
The four names of God in thefirst two verses the first name
of God is Most High, and thatshows him to be greater than any
threat of the enemy.
He's higher than any force.
The second name he says hegives himself is Almighty, and
this represents his power.
He has the strength to defeatthe enemy and his schemes.
(06:20):
The third name is Lord, whichrepresents his authority in our
lives, because if he's our Lord, that means he rules over what
we do and say and where we go,how we think.
And the fourth is my God, whichshows the personal aspect of
our relationship to him.
I am his and he is mine.
Personal aspect of ourrelationship to him.
(06:40):
I am his and he is mine.
So when I look at that psalm,I'm just immediately drawn in by
the Lord is defining who he isto me and it's my.
It's my job to take hold ofthat and believe it.
So this is the God who fightsfor us, you guys.
This is the God who fights forus.
Charity DeGonia (06:57):
Other thoughts
when you introduced this to me
or to our class the first time,it felt a little bit strange.
Whenever we use a new tool tofight the enemy and to walk our
relationship with, I think ittakes a little bit of a boldness
to walk forward, and so when Istarted teaching this in our
(07:20):
class, they were a little bithesitant too, but by the time we
got to the end of it, it wasthe joy and the excitement of
like I've got a new tool that Ican grasp, the power of the Holy
Spirit, of the power that Godhas given us, because sometimes
it's hard to like get thatconcept that I can actually God
has given me the same powerthrough the Holy Spirit to fight
(07:44):
these battles, and so that'swhere it was really powerful,
where you said use it and youintroduced that to the listeners
.
So I wanted to expand on that alittle bit, where we practiced
this, praying it over somebodyand inserting their names at
points that you know you come to, and that's where the power
(08:04):
came.
For me, the first time was thisis not I love what you're
talking about the names.
Like after he does the names hegoes into, he will rescue you.
Right, that's right, thepromises that come from three,
all the way to the end, justpromise after promise after
promise that we can take a holdof, and he doesn't want us just
(08:27):
to go.
Oh, there's a promise.
He wants us to hold them, holdthem close and believe them and
to walk in them.
That's right, and so I thinkthat this chapter is really
powerful.
We went through something inour family where the prayers
were not working, the worshipmusic was not working, there was
a spirit of torment in our homethat we didn't know how to
fight until we introduced thisand the power of just.
(08:50):
Sometimes it would just be awhisper of knowing that God's
word had to be spoken in thattime.
It breaks chains, it does.
Kim McIntire (08:59):
And Jesus set the
example in the wilderness when
he was fasting for 40 days and40 nights and the enemy was
coming to torment him, and theweapon that Jesus used was the
word of God.
And so the Lord Jesus set thatexample for us that you know,
praise is a weapon, prayer is aweapon, but the most powerful
weapon of all, I believe, because of Jesus and his example
(09:21):
, is we speak the word.
We don't just read the word, wespeak it out loud.
I can't tell you how regularlyI will just quote Bible
scriptures over my husband, children, family, friends,
circles, just because I know thepower that it holds and His
Word doesn't fail.
It just doesn't fail, it can'tfail.
(09:43):
It's impossible for God's Wordto fail.
So anyway, let's just dive in,let's just go verse to verse.
He who dwells in the shelter ofthe Most High will rest in the
shadow of the Almighty.
Charity DeGonia (09:58):
I'm going to
jump in here one more time.
This I thought it's so simple,but not.
I mean, it's describing who heis, but it also says when we're
abiding in Shaddai, we arehidden in the strength of God.
That's another version that Ilooked up and I was like that's
so powerful.
I love all the things that wedo with abide, but I feel like
so much already.
It's saying you have to abidein me, we have to have a
(10:20):
relationship with him for him tocome and rescue me, and then
not only is it rescuing us, buthe's hiding us in his strength.
It's like we don't have to havethe strength on our own.
It's his that we rest on.
Laila Davis (10:31):
It's true, I really
like that, the first verse,
right off the bat, because ittalks about um resting in the
shadow of the almighty and ifyou know anything about israel,
in the middle east, it's hot, yeah and it is a reminder that
god isn't just there to protectyou, he's there to give you
(10:52):
comfort.
It's true, you know andsometimes, when you're fighting
that battle, you need thatcomfort, that break from the sun
resting in the shadow of theAlmighty.
I love that.
Kim McIntire (11:04):
That's beautiful,
I will say of the Lord.
He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.
So the psalmist is using hismouth right to declare who God
is.
There's a lot of strength inthat.
A lot of declarations, oh mygoodness.
Charity DeGonia (11:25):
So you know,
when we're going through all the
words and we get to declare andI'm like the whole chapter is a
declare, it is, it is, and sothat's when you know, when
people are struggling with, youknow, finding a declare, I'm
like actually it's right there, you know, and you just change it
to it.
But again, another version isthis declaration he is the hope
that holds me, like sometimes wejust need hope to hold us.
Kim McIntire (11:49):
That's true.
Does anyone see any?
Anything specific like that, they would say, would draw a
confession from their heart?
I was just when I was readingthis.
I was like Lord, forgive me andchange me, because sometimes
I'm reacting like I don't knowthis psalm is true Like reacting
(12:17):
to situations or circumstances, you know, and so my confession
is Lord, remind me, like, forgive me that I forget
sometimes, and remind me, and hehas been so faithful to do that
.
So fewer and farther betweenare the times that I'm reacting
to a circumstance with fear andworry and, more often, reacting
to a circumstance with faith andhope and confidence that my God
(12:42):
battles for me.
You know he really does.
Charity DeGonia (12:45):
Right, and you
mentioned that word fear.
I think that was definitely myconfession.
Almost every single time that Igo through this like confess
that my time has been not mytime, my attitude toward the
problems has been fear, anxietyand insecurity.
Yeah, lord, I'm sorry that I'vebeen insecure because I know
where to go, but our sinfulness, our flesh, is so easily taken
(13:10):
over into fear and anxiety.
It's true Something you knowwhat keeps us from going
directly to his throne the firsttime that I went through this?
But the more you do it, themore it's like oh, I have a
reminder, I've got Psalm 91almost memorized, you know like
because we've done it so well, and then it's a second nature.
You know, it's just, it's almostthat abide of its second nature
(13:31):
.
Once you get into it, you wouldnever want to miss that time
with him because you know howrequired it is.
Well, it's the same thing withspiritual warfare it becomes
second nature when you do it.
But we have to confess like, hey, that wasn't second nature.
It isn't second nature for it,it needs to be.
Olivia Frazier (13:49):
Yeah for sure.
Yeah, mine goes along with bothof yours, like the fear and the
anxiety I just, the Lord, putinto my head.
You take control of thesituation away from me and you
run it through your head, however many times, and you run
(14:11):
the narrative.
Basically, you run thenarrative, not me, because
that's not actually happening.
That's convicting.
Because that's not actuallyhappening.
That's convicting.
So my confess was Lord, I'msorry that I take the control
away from you and I put it onmyself.
Forgive me, help me to put itback into your hands.
Kim McIntire (14:31):
Amen.
What a good word, that'sbeautiful and that just ties in
with obedience as well.
Charity DeGonia (14:39):
Yeah, right,
yeah, I love that On my obey.
I turned it into almost at myobey and declare went together
because it says, when I'mfeeling shaken, you are the
answer.
I will pause, I will give youthe praise and then I will
proceed.
So just stopping where I'm atand sometimes it's 15 seconds,
(15:00):
sometimes it's 15 minutes, youknow just to refocus our brain
on okay, lord, this is yours, that's right, but I liked that
was like one of the first timesthat God said hey, you can obey
and declare at the same time.
Kim McIntire (15:12):
Yeah, that's right
, absolutely.
And there's so much to givethanks and praise God for
throughout this entire chapteras well, let's all just choose
something to thank God andpraise him for through this
chapter.
Charity DeGonia (15:28):
Verse four his
faithfulness is a protective
shield.
It keeps you from harm, and Iwill not fear the terror of the
night and I just put God.
I thank you that I don't haveto have it all together to be
held by you.
Thank you that you are thestrength that gives me, that you
give me the strength when Ihave none, Because there are
(15:50):
days we have none, right Afterthese battles, it's true.
And thank you for the peacethat you give me in the midst of
these battles because you arenear Amen.
That you give me in the midstof these battles because you are
near.
Olivia Frazier (15:58):
Amen.
A thanks that I have.
It goes along with three hehimself it was that, like those
words, he himself it's not.
He's passing along theresponsibility of taking care of
you to someone else.
He himself will rescue you fromthe bird trap.
So a thanks that I had wasthank you, lord, for personally
(16:20):
rescuing me when I've needed you.
Every time you come to myrescue and help me, and thank
you for the countlesstestimonies that I have of you
saving me.
It just shows how personal heis with each one of us and it
just it kills me.
It's unbelievable.
Kim McIntire (16:38):
Mine is verse 11,
for he will command his angels
concerning you to guard you inall your ways, and 12 they will
lift you up in their hands sothat you will not strike your
foot against a stone, and I wasjust like father.
Thank you that you commandangels to guard me.
I, I'm surrounded by angels.
(17:00):
I believe that, and thatdoesn't mean that there's never
anything bad going to happen.
Bad things happen to goodpeople.
The word says it rains on therighteous and the unrighteous,
but what it means is, in thosestorms and in those trials, we
are still guarded by angels.
We're not susceptible to thingsthat other people are, because
(17:21):
we're being guarded even in thestorm, and I just I praise God
and I thank God that he offersprotection, he commands his
angels and ultimately, he's myprotector.
So I just praise and thank himfor that.
Layla, does anything stand outto you?
Laila Davis (17:36):
Absolutely it does.
Verse 15, I'm reading from theNIV version and I will answer
him.
I will be with him in trouble,I will deliver him and honor him
.
As you know, I did not grow upChristian.
I have lived outside of thatprotection, and for me to have a
(17:57):
God that says he's with me introuble and he delivers me and
honor me.
No one in my life before hasever delivered me from trouble.
But God does so good.
Thank you.
But God does so good, that isso good.
Kim McIntire (18:10):
Thank you, Lord.
Charity DeGonia (18:10):
That is so good
.
Kim McIntire (18:11):
Thank you, lord, I
love that.
Charity DeGonia (18:15):
That next verse
right after that says I will
satisfy him with a long life.
And there's another versionthat says I will reward him with
a long life.
So you know, it's that runningthe race and what we get to at
the end.
You know, I just love that.
You know our humanness, we wanta reward, but ultimately we
(18:38):
don't need anything else whenwe're satisfied by him.
It's true, you know, that'sthat God shaped hole that we
talk about sometimes and it'slike that's all we need.
That's the reward thatultimately satisfies and ends.
It's all of everything we'vebeen searching for.
But just above that, in 14, itstarts with different versions,
(19:01):
but this starts with the Lordsays right.
So it kind of swapped between13 and 14.
And in 14, it's what God says.
God says because his heart isset on me, can you imagine that
God loves us this much?
I mean, we mess up all the Isorry, I mess up all the time
(19:24):
and I'm like and I know I'm justtrying not to speak for others
Like, oh yeah, they're saying Imess up.
You know, I mess up all thetime and God's love is always
there to pick me up.
That grace and that's I lovedhow that shifted from the enemy
is under my feet because heloves me so much.
Kim McIntire (19:43):
That's quite the
love.
That's so true.
That's so true, that's so trueIn verse 13, when it says you
will tread upon the lion and thecobra, you will trample the
great lion and the serpent.
I love that he's saying youhave Kim, you have authority.
Yes, you are not a victim, no,no, you are a victor because of
(20:05):
Jesus Christ.
And when you have Christ in youand the power of the Holy Spirit
in you, you absolutely cantrample the enemy and say you
are under my feet, satan, youare the defeated foe, satan.
Jesus, when he rose up out ofthe grave, he conquered you and
death and sin.
(20:26):
And the victory is in you, lord.
And so I just declare thatregularly I will tread upon the
lion and the cobra, I willtrample the great lion and the
serpent.
And it's why, because I lovethe Lord and he loves me Right,
that's it.
And he, he will give you thatauthority.
When you love him Right andwhen you serve him and you seek
(20:48):
him and you make him the Lord, not just your savior, but the
Lord of your life, I mean itchanges everything, absolutely
everything.
Charity DeGonia (20:57):
It even says
that in verse nine, if you break
it down, it says because you'vemade the Lord and he describes
the Lord, my refuge and my mosthigh your dwelling place.
So it's telling us, when youabide right, when you're making
that your place, then all ofthese things come.
We have the enemy under ourfeet.
It's so true.
So it goes like you're sayinghand in hand.
(21:18):
And it even tells us, it givesus the map.
I have abide all the way downfrom 9 until 13 in my Bible
because there's a map.
Kim McIntire (21:25):
That's what
happens, it's true, and that
dwelling, like in the NIV, it'sdwells, but dwells remains,
abides.
It really just means living in.
It's that connection, like thevine and the branch.
There's so much closeness youcan't really tell much, you
(21:45):
can't distinguish the difference.
Really, you know they belong totogether, right, right.
And that's the kind ofcloseness that we seek as we
walk through this journey ofabide together, where we're just
learning, like we want to leanon the Lord, we want to learn
more about him.
We don't want to just read theword, but we want to live it out
, and we want to speak it andnot contain it, because anything
(22:07):
that's alive isn't contained.
It grows and it affects thingsaround it, and so I just I can't
get enough of God's word, for Ireally can't.
I love that you guys are all inwith studying and praying and
reading through God's word aswell.
I just want to encouragelisteners.
(22:27):
If you're in a battle right now, if you're struggling right now
, the best thing you can do isgo to the Lord and share with
Him the burdens.
And we tend to go to a friendfirst, or our husband first, or
someone that we can trust, andthat's not wrong, but the only
one that can solve the problemand fight the battle is the Lord
(22:48):
himself.
Share the burdens and thedefeat and the suffering with
him, because those things aretemporary Right and those things
can actually drive you to God'sstrength.
Yeah, and when you're weaknessin your weakness, he becomes
strong.
So admit it, I'm weak, lord.
Charity DeGonia (23:07):
I need your
strength.
Kim McIntire (23:08):
Then you can
participate in God's victory
over sin through Christ.
So lots of teaching points here.
Charity DeGonia (23:16):
Yeah, really
lots of them.
And honestly, this is where Ilearned how to walk out probably
the hardest part of being aparent.
And what you're saying is, whenyou go to him, then he gives
you the strength.
And sometimes it's hard to goto them because we're so such in
a habit of going to somebodyelse and hearing what we want to
hear, but then actuallyexperiencing it.
(23:39):
And then you can get on theother side of it and go oh man,
there's my testimony.
Look what God did in that hardand in that battle and in that
moment.
And then you, like I do, I go toPsalm 91 and I can say I
remember the first time.
And then there's a testimonyevery single time I've gone to
(23:59):
this and how God has deliveredme from it or he's taught me
something more.
And then you fall more in lovewith God's word.
And when you're falling more inlove with God's word, then
you're falling more in love withJesus, and then that dwelling
place becomes a requirement andit just builds on it and it
draws you closer to his heart, and then you know his heart and
then he's the friend you want togo to.
(24:20):
It's true.
Kim McIntire (24:21):
Yeah, it's the
snowball in the best of ways, oh
, absolutely.
The snowball effect, you knowin the best way.
Other thoughts.
Olivia Frazier (24:29):
Well, I'll kind
of piggyback off of that.
There's something about goingto him that just.
It not only shifts yoursituation, it shifts you as well
.
It takes you from that defeatedmindset into the victory
mindset.
Right, yeah, True that I'm notgoing to let this.
I'm not going to speak deathover this situation.
I'm going to turn my eyes ontothe Lord, not onto the situation
(24:51):
.
I'm going to speak victory intothis situation.
I'm going to speak life overthis situation.
And then you go to the otherpeople that you're going to tell
and the language that you usechanges, because I know that
God's going to work in thissituation.
Charity DeGonia (25:04):
Right, it's
good it's that speaking victory.
Yes, I love that.
Right it's good, it's thatspeaking victory.
Kim McIntire (25:08):
Yes, I love that.
When you were talking abouttestimony a second ago Charity I
was thinking how manytestimonies have come from the
first time I taught Psalm 91 asa spiritual warfare chapter, and
one person specifically overtheir marriage.
She's just like I just starteddeclaring it over our marriage
(25:29):
because I knew our marriage wasunder attack.
And then a friend calledseveral weeks ago maybe a month
ago saying I am plagued withhorrible anxiety.
Right now it's almost crippling.
It makes me feel like I need togo to the hospital.
And she hadn't taken abideclasses and we hadn't ever
talked about Psalm 91 becauseshe really hadn't shared any
(25:50):
specific problems with me.
So I said I'm going to readPsalm 91 over you and then I'm
going to declare it over you andevery day from the next,
however long it takes, I wantyou to start your day with that.
And so I checked in on her aweek or so ago, probably a week
ago, and I was just like how didvacation go?
(26:12):
How are you feeling?
And she's like it's completelybroken.
But she did what I asked her todo.
I was like read it, declare it,believe it.
God's word is effective.
It's effective.
He gave us this and it's such apower source.
Olivia Frazier (26:31):
Yes.
Laila Davis (26:32):
Right, I feel like
I'm one of those testimonies,
especially with Psalm 91.
Yeah, because I have personallycontacted you, kim, over things
going on in my life not knowingwhat to do, and Kim gives such
amazing wisdom.
She's like fast and pray.
And then she gave me a list ofBible verses and encouraged me
(26:55):
to anoint my home and readPsalms 91 out loud.
And I didn't just read it inlike every room and anoint my
house, I mean, I read it in mybasement and anointed my
basement, I read it on myproperty.
I read it around my neighborhood.
Sorry, neighbors, or actuallyyou're welcome, and I probably
(27:22):
looked insane, but I noticed thepower in my family and in my
marriage and the change thatoccurs and I want that for my
home and my neighborhood, I wantit for my community, I want it
for my kids' schools and I wishthe listeners could see Kim and
feel Kim when she speaks thewords of Psalm 91.
Because it hits me to my coreso I can imagine demons
(27:44):
shuddering the moment she opensher mouth and just speaks this.
Kim McIntire (27:48):
Well, that's very
kind, but I would say the same
is true of every single personyou, layla, olivia and Charity.
There's something about thepower of God's word coming out
of our mouth.
Demons do run.
You're right, right.
They hate the sound of God'sword.
Laila Davis (28:02):
Maybe it was you
shaking the Bible in the air.
Maybe it was.
Kim McIntire (28:05):
Brick and mortar.
Well, you know, I wasn't jokingaround when I said today, we're
going to be soldiers, right, solet's get our Bible, let's hold
it in front of us and we'regoing to believe.
God's word is the weapon thatthe Lord says that it is.
And did he show up?
Oh, he showed up.
He always shows up.
Charity DeGonia (28:26):
He always shows
up.
But, as you're saying that, andyou are too, we're talking
about doing things differently.
But the Bible tells us not tobe conformed.
That means we're going to lookdifferent when we do this Right.
I don't care what I look like, because I know where my heart is
, I know where my reward is, Iknow where my satisfaction is, I
know where my strength comesfrom.
And I know now.
It took me a while, but now Iknow how to tap into the source
(28:48):
of my God, my Father, who lovesme so much.
And I will not be conformed.
I will not look the same.
Kim McIntire (28:55):
That's so good.
Any other words that we want toshare from Psalm 91?
It's a beautiful chapter, it'sa powerful chapter.
Open your Bible and go to war.
Go to war for your family, it'sworth it.
Go to war for your marriage, for your ministry, for your
(29:19):
health, for your mind, for yourheart.
Go to war.
It's a battle worth fightingand, yes, the battle belongs to
the Lord.
But he says take your standagainst the enemy's schemes,
right, right, put on the fullarmor of God and take your stand
(29:42):
against the enemy's schemes.
So the Lord knew we were goingto be in a battle, or he would
have never said put on the fullarmor of God, right, right.
And this is to me one of the.
The piece of the armor that isthe sword is the word of God.
So we are just.
We encourage you, listeners.
If you're discouraged, open theBible, go to Psalm 91.
(30:07):
Let your mind just take it in,meditate on it.
Don't just read it.
Meditate on it, ask the Lord toreveal himself to you in a way
that he never has before, and hewill.
Charity DeGonia (30:18):
Absolutely he
will.
Kim McIntire (30:19):
He will.
If that prayer comes from apure heart, he will show up and
he will reveal truth in ways younever could even imagine.
He's done it for me and he'sdone it for you guys, and he's
no respecter of persons, so weare so grateful that you have
listened today.
One thing I want to say beforewe close in prayer is there is
(30:40):
power in the share.
This is something we talk abouta lot.
Would one of you three like totalk about the power of share,
or do you guys want me to do it?
Charity DeGonia (30:50):
Go for it.
Actually, I'm just going to goover something that happened
last night at our prayer meeting.
But there was a word ofknowledge about a hip and
somebody said you know, we pray,we go around and gather around
and we pray over that specificword of knowledge and it's so
powerful again, and pastor askedif there was anybody that had
(31:10):
been healed.
And so we had a lady raise herhand and she's like wait, and he
gives her the mic, which wasreally funny and she says wait,
I haven't been healed yet, but Iknow it's coming.
So testimony comes and actuallythey prayed over me for the same
thing, because my hips, the ITband, has been really tight and
it's hard to sleep and walk andmy hip is popping and I'm like,
(31:33):
okay, lord, this is mine.
You know I'm kind of claimingit when they're praying over me,
but she shared this morningthat she was healed, like she
went to sleep, woke up and shehas full mobility and I had gone
to bed and I was claiming itbecause she claimed it too.
Her share gave me a greaterfaith and expectation that my
(31:55):
testimony, my healing, wascoming also, and wouldn't you
know that I haven't had any paintoday, but I just felt like
when she shared then that gaveme a greater expectation of what
God could do, and that Iclaimed it and I was able to
have it too.
Kim McIntire (32:12):
Thank you, lord.
The power of the share is whenGod teaches you something,
reveals something to you, impacts you through someone
else's testimony.
You have a choice to containthat or to share it.
The choice is yours.
When you choose to share it,this is what God will do.
(32:35):
He will multiply that workbeyond anything you could ask,
hope or imagine, because hewants his word and he wants his
wonders and the healings and thesalvations and the redemptions
and all the works that God does.
I mean I could talk for an hourabout all the ways God can
(32:58):
multiply all the works that Goddoes.
I mean I could talk for an hourabout all the ways God can
multiply.
Yeah, you don't want to learnsomething or experience
something and then keep it toyourself, right?
Yeah, so I'm saying all of thisbecause I know there are
listeners that are hearing thistoday and you know someone who's
in a spiritual war and one ofthe best things you could do is
(33:21):
you could share this episodewith them and you could say this
spoke to my heart and I'mthinking about you, and you have
no idea how that may impactsomeone for the rest of their
life to know I have a go-tochapter when my family is being
attacked by the enemy.
I have a go-to chapter when myfamily is being attacked by the
(33:41):
enemy.
So I'm not asking you to sharethe episode to increase our
listening numbers.
I'm asking you to share it sothat God's name is glorified and
people can get to victoryinstead of living in a state of
defeat.
Because it's possible, isn't it,ladies?
You guys have experienced it,I've experienced it.
That's my ask Please share.
There are so many people thatdon't know how to come against
(34:06):
the enemy and that needs tochange.
We're living in perilous times.
The world is in chaos, but ourGod is unchanging and he's
faithful.
So share this teaching, thisepisode, really on Psalm 91.
Charity, would you be willingto close us in prayer and just
(34:26):
bless our listeners?
Absolutely, thank you, god.
Charity DeGonia (34:29):
We just come to
you so thankful for the time
that you've given us to justdive in even deeper to what
you've taught us about thischapter and how it's changed us.
The Lord, and the things thatyou've pulled out for this
chapter and how it's changed us,the Lord, and the things that
you've pulled out for us, god.
But I specifically pray for ourlisteners tonight, god, that you
have met them in a place thatspeaks directly to where they
are, god, that they've had openears, got an open mind, and that
(34:52):
you're going to be able to movethem forward in this battle
that they're facing and thatthey're going to be able to use
the tools that we've talkedabout tonight, god, and maybe
share that already they know theperson that you're calling them
to share it with God, and theexcitement of the testimonies
that are going to come out ofthis is going to bubble over and
be an encouragement to somebodyelse, god, that you're going to
(35:14):
multiply the victories thatwe've already seen in Psalm 91,
lord, and we are just sograteful for how you have
promised us so many timesthroughout this chapter and
throughout your word that we aregoing to be victorious because
of your victory, lord and werest in that Lord, and today we
just ask for the strength inwhat the listeners are walking
(35:37):
through, god, because we knowlife isn't easy, but we know and
are so grateful that you loveus so much to meet us and to
hold us.
It says you'll cover us, lord, your arms are wrapped around
each and every single one of us,god.
We're so grateful for that, god, and we give you all the praise
and all the glory for all thevictories, all the things that
(35:57):
you've taught us and all theways that you have loved us
already.
The grace and mercy, lord, inyour name we pray, amen.
Kim McIntire (36:04):
Amen, Amen.
Thank you, Charity.
Olivia Layla, Thank you so muchfor being here with me opening
God's word, diving in, and Iknow God's going to bless you
for your yes.
