What if the revival we're seeking isn't about one church getting noticed, but about God's presence covering the earth? Three pastors with decades of ministry experience gather to share their vision for spiritual awakening in our time.

Chris Hoyer, Dan Wermuth, and Dave Pizinger bring powerful personal testimonies to this conversation about what revival truly means. From Dave's dramatic conversion story—transforming from drug dealer to pastor after an encounter with Christ—to stories of unity emerging from disaster in Joplin, Missouri, their experiences illuminate how God moves in both individual hearts and entire communities.

The pastors unpack biblical patterns of revival through Jonah's reluctant ministry to Nineveh and Nehemiah's wall-rebuilding project. They highlight how true revival begins with humility, crosses denominational lines, and focuses on lifting Jesus rather than promoting individual churches. Perhaps most encouraging is their report that the fastest-growing demographic purchasing physical Bibles today is 15-25 year olds—a sign that younger generations are hungering for truth in an age of hypocrisy.

This conversation challenges believers to recognize that revival isn't just something to hope for in the distant future—it's happening now in various expressions worldwide. The question isn't whether God is moving, but whether we'll participate by surrendering our hearts, uniting despite our differences, and contending for His presence.

I want to welcome Chris Hoyer,Dan Wermuth and Dave Pizinger.
I know each of you areministers of the gospel as well
as men who believe and pray forrevival for our churches, nation
and world.
Thank you so much for beinghere today.

(01:15):
I'm going to have each one ofyou just tell a little bit about
yourselves so our audience canknow more about you.
Chris, why don't you start?
Welcome back.
By the way, you have been onthe podcast before.
I'm glad you're back.

Chris Hoyer (01:26):
Yeah, excited about being here.
Me too, as Kim said, my name isChris Hoyer and I currently
serve as the Director of MissionOperations at Water Garden
Ministries in Joplin, Missouri, and I started there in 2018.
And prior to that, I served 15and a half years in corporate
world at Jack Henry andAssociates in Monett, Missouri.

(01:49):
But ministry is really what'skind of been that fabric, that
thread that's run through mylife for a long time, and I've
had the privilege of serving inpastoral ministry, bi-vocational
ministry, for over 30 yearsdifferent communities in
Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas andbeyond that.

(02:14):
I'm thankful for my wife of 38years.
We've done here in July 17thit'll be 38 years, and so we've
done ministry together andpursued the Lord and blessed
with three children and eightgrandchildren.

Kim McIntire (02:30):
So that's a busy life.
That's a busy life.
God's been good.
Yes, so good.
Thank you, chris.
How about you, pastor Dan?

Dan Wermuth (02:37):
Hey, it's an honor to be with you.
Thank you for inviting us to behere and get to be here with my
friends and talk about revivaland what God's doing in the
earth, especially right here inthe four state area, which is
really historically a marker andan altar for revival.
So, I'm gloriously blessed tobe part of that.

Kim McIntire (02:59):
Well, thank you so much for saying yes.

Dan Wermuth (03:01):
Oh, you're welcome.
You know my mantra about justsay yes and what God can do with
that.
I was born into a home where mymom and dad were missionaries
to Native Americans and wasraised serving and knowing the
Lord and serving from a youngage, but had my first encounter

(03:21):
with Christ at seven.
Wow, baptized in the HolySpirit at 10.
And then, you know, workingwith mom and dad in church and
serving and teaching andpreaching along the way.
So revival has always been likea theme of my parents.
They were just, their heart wasfor a move of God in their

(03:43):
family.
They had five sons, and I'm theoldest of five boys and so mom
was a fasting woman, fastedprobably 40 days, three
different times, I don't knowhow many 21 days and 10 day fast
, and it's what got me, my wifeand my brother Mike's wife, and
then she made me and Mike fastfor our brother Joe, for him to

(04:03):
get his wife, and so mom made usand taught us how to fast.

Kim McIntire (04:08):
Anyway a revival.
That's a legacy.

Dan Wermuth (04:09):
Yeah, I get.
20 years ago I was called tocome here to this community and
pastor a congregation that wasbirthed in revival in 1930.
So I feel like I'm.
You know, I was born inMichigan and raised there, but I
made it to Missouri to be partof what God's doing.

Kim McIntire (04:29):
That's right, that's right.
You know great revival.

Dan Wermuth (04:32):
You know, like Chris, I married the greatest
gift after salvation, my wifeCindy, who has been such a gift
to us, and so our three sonsserving the Lord, and I'm
believing God for grandkids, andI'm really hoping that the
Hoyers will, you know, lay handson me and pray for that to
happen in the very near futurefor me.

Kim McIntire (04:54):
So let it be so, Lord.
Let it be so in Jesus name.

Dan Wermuth (04:58):
That's great, but I'm really thank you for the
opportunity to be here, becausewe're going to talk about
revival and my friend, friendDavid Biesinger, is sitting
right there.

Kim McIntire (05:07):
He's got great things on the inside of him.
Yes, Welcome Dave.
Tell us about yourself, Dave.

Dave Pizinger (05:13):
It's a honor to be here today, just to be able
to spread the gospel and let Godbe exalted.
That's right.
I'm a heathen saved by graceand my salvation came at a
revival.
Oh wow, from being kicked outat 15 in Wichita, kansas, to
becoming a major drug dealer.
From a drug dealer, I got intoNew Age.

(05:35):
From New Age I ran from thecartel in 1980 and came to
Missouri, found a house on 20acres and decided to grow my
crops there.

Kim McIntire (05:44):
Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, oh my goodness,
this is all news to me.
I did not know any of this.
We didn't know you had a greenthumb.
Wow, yeah, that's thesurprising part you ought to see
my garden now.
Oh, my goodness.

Dave Pizinger (05:55):
But anyway, I came here in 1980.
I met a girl in 1982 that was aJehovah's Witness and became a
Jehovah's Witness knocking ondoors for eight and a half years
and then went to what we calleda camp meeting.
I was set up by God and while Iwas there I was mad.
I wanted to fight.
I was disappointed in what Isaw, because they were speaking

(06:19):
in tongues and raising theirhands and using instruments and
that was all taboo to me.
Right, and a lady stood up andstarted speaking in tongues or
singing in tongues, and I saidthat's definitely of the devil.
Then she started translatingthe song in English and
something happened in my heart.
Wow.
And so he preached a sermon onevery denomination will kill you

(06:41):
.
Christ is the only thing thatwill save you.
Wow, and at the end of theservice.
I had talked to him in thebeginning of the service and he
told me that actually.
And at the end of the servicehe stood up and said oh, you
believe Jesus came, died androse for your sins?
Stand up.
Well, that's the last thing Iwas going to do.
I was mad.
God took the people andpardoned them, like the Red Sea.
He's standing on the pulpit.
I'm sitting in the pew.

(07:02):
He pointed me out and he saidlook.
He said I believe you believethat Jesus came, jesus died and
Jesus rose for your sins.
He said you get your hand up.
At that moment I was gritting,my teeth red in my face, arms
crossed and my little fingercame up.
And when my little finger cameup I went into shock, literal

(07:23):
shock, spiritual shock.
My hand came up and I saw it goup and the service is over.
There was no going to the altar, there was none of that.
We got in the car and we'redriving back from Grove and my
girlfriend, which is now 33years, my wife oh my goodness,
and we're all quiet.
And I looked in front seat andI said did you know?
Jehovah's Witnesses are calledin Jesus Christ as Lord of his

(07:43):
witness is a cult and JesusChrist is Lord.

Kim McIntire (07:45):
The heavens open.

Dave Pizinger (07:46):
Mighty, rushing wind just came into my being and
literally changed me Narcissism, drugs, alcohol, immorality,
cussing, control went away.

Kim McIntire (07:57):
Praise God.

Dave Pizinger (07:58):
That was my first revival.

Kim McIntire (08:00):
Praise God, that's a good revival.

Dave Pizinger (08:02):
I was revived.
Oh my goodness.
So that was November of 91.
November 95, I took on apastoral role called the
Glorious Church out of the Bookof Ephesians.
And I've been pastoring off andon since then.
My wife went through a stroke.
We stepped down for a season, but we're back.

Kim McIntire (08:19):
That's amazing.
To God be the glory.
I'm glad you mentioned GloriousChurch, Pastor Dan pastors
Joplin Family Worship Center inJoplin, Missouri.
Both of those churches arelocated in Joplin, Missouri,
which is our hometown, I thinkfor most of us.
I'm on.

Dan Wermuth (08:33):
West 7th and he's on East 7th, that's right.
We got both gates of the city.

Kim McIntire (08:38):
That's right.

Dan Wermuth (08:39):
The East and the West Praise the Lord.

Kim McIntire (08:49):
And Water Garden.
The west praise the lord andwater garden splits you right
down in the middle on seventhstreet.
You're all positioned onseventh.
The heart of god is at watergardens.
That's pretty, yeah, that's forsure.
That's pretty interesting.
Well, thank you so much forjust sharing a little bit about
yourselves.
We just want to jump in withjust this question about um, how
could you share just with usyour heart for seeing a move of
God in terms of revival?
Like, what does God havestirring in your heart right now

(09:11):
regarding revival, or a greatawakening?

Dan Wermuth (09:17):
Chris.
Wow, because I see revival onyour life.
So that's the reason why I'msaying Chris.

Chris Hoyer (09:26):
Oh yeah, there's just a lot going on in our land
right now.

Kim McIntire (09:31):
Yeah.

Chris Hoyer (09:32):
And I'm not going to say that our churches are not
alive, because I believe theyare, but I think they could be
more alive?

Dan Wermuth (09:40):
Yes, sir.

Chris Hoyer (09:42):
Yes, sir, and these guys kind of shared their story
there at the beginning.
But you know I didn't believein a lot of the things I believe
in today and I just rememberattending this church with Holly
on a Sunday night at a revivaland just want to get in and get
out and yeah next thing.

(10:02):
I know I leave when I when Ileft, I had been filled with the
Holy Spirit and run a few lapsaround the church and told I was
going to lead thousands to theLord and pastor.
And you know I want the samething for other people and you
know.
So I look at our land today.

(10:23):
I just see a culture full ofconfusion.
I see the political climate andchallenges and the compromise
and there's just so manyopportunities.
I don't say that in a negativeway, but there are opportunities
for us and I just want to seepeople have the same experiences

(10:45):
that all three of us shared.
And I just remember going tochurch and having these soaking
services in worship or beingable to go to an altar and dig a
well and set a table.
Sometimes I was crying, sometimes I was celebrating, but

(11:05):
just I want to see that forfolks.
I want to see them.
You know, it's great to hear theword, it's great to worship,
it's great to grow in thematurity of the word, but I want
to see people experience Jesus, experience the Holy Spirit,
know that they know, understandtheir calling and their purpose,

(11:27):
and it not just be a going tochurch and paying a tithe or
serving, but actually feelingactivated and operating in the
kingdom.
And it doesn't require a titleof a pastor.
It just requires the title ofsomebody being hungry and on
fire and full of Jesus and goingout and winning people for the

(11:52):
Lord in just their everyday life, and that's what I really
desire to see, just at agrassroots level.
We go out to Facebook, we goout to all these platforms and
we see these large ministries, great ministries, great pastors,
but when I read my Bible, that's not what I saw.

(12:13):
What I saw was Jesus and somedisciples moving from town to
town, engaging people on theirway and impacting their lives
with the word of God, and notjust the Word of God, because
the Word of God says we're to bea demonstration of power.
That's right, and I want to seepeople operating in that way,

(12:33):
with a demonstration of power.

Kim McIntire (12:35):
That's so beautiful, so good.

Dave Pizinger (12:37):
And I think too that when the church gets its
passion back, when the churchgets that hunger back, when the
church gets that fire back, whenthe church gets that hunger
back, when the church gets thatfire back, there'll be a love
that goes beyond the doctrinalbeliefs.
There'll be such a presence ofGod.
There is just a love of Godthat begins to saturate the body

(13:01):
of Christ, that takes downdenominational names, that takes
titles away and brings a unitythat Jesus prayed in John 17,
that we would be one as he isone.
And without a real move or anencounter with God it's going to
be very hard for many toactually experience that.

Kim McIntire (13:22):
And.

Dave Pizinger (13:22):
I think right now the Church of America needs it
more than ever.
Revivals are breaking out allover the world.
Millions are coming to Christ.
They're having experiences withJesus.
They're having encounters.
The biggest revival going onright now is Iran, because of
the persecution you know.
They're tired of seeing theirwives or their children shot on
the street because they havechose to take the veil off or

(13:42):
whatever else.
But they've got a passion, they've got a hunger that they
want to.
They want to, they want toexperience the real God, not
this superficial God, not thisdoctrinal God, not this, you
know, made up God.
But they want to experience thereal God and I think I think
that's my heart right now is Iwant to see the church
experience the real God, thereal God that created, the real

(14:04):
God that gave his son, the realGod that poured his spirit out
and gave us that empowerment tohave that zeal to move beyond
what we're capable of doing andstepping into what he's doing
and what is he doing.
He's taken people like us thatdon't have it all together but
trust the one that does.
And when we trust the one thatdoes, then miracles happen,

(14:28):
salvation happens, restorationhappens, deliverance happens,
and we need it more thananything else.

Dan Wermuth (14:37):
Jesus talked about ten virgins, so we know that
they are identified as set apartand they are waiting for the
bridegroom to come.
And the night draws on and soall 10 fall into a slumber.
All 10 fall to sleep.

(14:57):
We hear the friend of thebridegroom, which is by.
You know, many Bible scholarsbelieve the friend of the
bridegroom is the Holy Spirit, calling for an awakening.
Yeah, so they all awaken.
Five have oil, Five don't.
Ultimately, five have to gofind oil and buy it and they
come back only to find that theother five, who were ready,

(15:21):
remember they were slumbering, they were awakened and now
they're ready and they enter inand the thought might be that
the church around the globe isin its awakening time.
I think we are in the midst ofa great awakening and there's
also slumbering.
That's been happening.

(15:41):
You know there's a slumberingspirit.
Barna just released somenumbers that the fastest growing
demographic buying Biblesphysical Bibles, like one I have
in my hand or the one on my,you know, my phone or my device
that people right now thefastest demographic is 15 to 25.

(16:04):
Who would imagine that it'sincredible 15 to 25.
I would say that it'sincredible 15 to 25.
I would say that's a marker ofrevival.

Kim McIntire (16:11):
Yeah.

Dan Wermuth (16:12):
And the further question then that was asked is
why are 15 to 25 year oldsbuying Bibles to read, or you
know, on their apps so that theycan can see what God's saying,
can see what God's saying?
It's because they're disgustedwith a hypocrisy of a supposed

(16:33):
righteousness by people in their30s and older who call
themselves awake but they'rereally not.
They're slumbering in theirbehaviors and there's no real
justice that they see.
And so there's a hunger.
And these are not people whoare necessarily saved, but 15 to
25 looking for truth.
Yes, kim, yes, I think that'sone benchmark of an awakening

(16:59):
that's happening in the earth.

Kim McIntire (17:01):
Yes.

Dan Wermuth (17:01):
Lord and the church that has slumbered has been
awakened.
Some are still slumbering, somedo not have the capacity.
They're going to need to golook for oil.
I hope they can get back in time, but there have been great
awakenings historically inAmerica, and they were not at
times where everything was fineand pleasant.
You know the first greatawakening 1730s, during a great

(17:25):
time of horrific behaviors onthe part of people, godlessness
in the nation, and the Lordvisited this nation through that
move of God.
That happened.
So Jonathan Edwards, georgeWhitefield, you know, preaching
in such a way that impacted andchanged the course of our nation
, yes, and then a whole notherrevival.

(17:45):
You know it's 1790s, throughthe 1840s, with Charles Finney
and others who continued to callfor a hunger for God.
And what we noticed in thatsecond great awakening, there
were intercessors, likeyourselves, who were praying and
God's presence was going beforethe person who would deliver

(18:07):
the word, father Nash, thatintercessor for Charles Finney
would pray and people would fallout in the spirit in bars while
a train carrying Charles Finneyis just driving going through
the town and the drunkardsdidn't even know what happened
to them.
Or falling out in the mud inthe streets because the presence

(18:29):
of God was on a messenger, because an intercessor had
prayed and sought the Lord.
Up, awaken, awaken, church, trim your lamps.
Holy Spirit, oil, fire ignitedand be on the ready for this

(18:53):
amazing moment that we're calledto.
And it's not the great escape,it's really the great harvest.
Yes, which we've been talkingabout, you know, in these days,
For God so loved the world, hewasn't willing that any should
perish right.
That's right For God so lovedthe world he wasn't willing that
any should perish.
Right, that's right For God.
So loved the world, he gave hisonly begotten son.
So I'm convinced that revivalis happening in the earth.

(19:14):
And what is my responsibilitypersonally to pursue that
revival in me, for my wife, formy house, my sons, for the
congregation that I serve, forthe ministries that I also serve
by extension, and whateverleadership capacity, if we will
do so on a personal level andreally cast off that slumbering

(19:36):
spirit that has been there.
Chris mentioned somethingbefore we came on air about
Jonah in Nineveh that was sopowerful.
I was hoping he'd unpack that alittle bit.

Chris Hoyer (19:47):
I will Please do.
I will Thank you, as you posedthe question to us and I was
thinking about it.
When I read the Bible I seewhat I consider that first
awakening in Jonah chapter threeand you know, I believe

(20:10):
awakening a lot of times canhappen, first before revival.
And in Jonah three, verse five,it says the people of Nineveh
believed God, they proclaimed afast, they dressed in sackcloth,
from the greatest of them tothe least of them.
And then we see in verses 6through 10 where it talks about

(20:31):
the king humbling himself.
It talks about him issuing adecree to everyone to fast, to
repent, and how God respondedwith mercy and there was this
genuine turning from evil.
And I began to dig into that alittle bit and find some things
out that I didn't even know.
But it talks about the numberof people.

(20:52):
They say that there wasanywhere from 600,000 to a
million people in Nineveh andwhen we read the word it talks
about 120,000 children and theykind of base the numbers off of
that.
So it was large, that's right.
It refers to the greatest ofthem, to the least and so forth.

(21:16):
But what's so powerful was thatthey heeded to the warning and
they didn't let their pride getin the way.
The warning, and they didn't lettheir pride get in the way and
they heeded the warning.
They responded, they didn'targue they, they didn't delay,
they didn't get puffed up.
They humbled themselves.
They fasted, they repented they, they cried out for mercy.

(21:39):
They recognize that sin.
They turned to God and, um,there was a revival.
I mean a revival I mean arevival broke out that city.
It changed, the people changed, and that's what I see for our
nation right now.

(22:01):
To me it's a very similarsituation, and I believe that
that's what God wants to dothrough the power of our Holy
Spirit.
He doesn't want to see moredivision anymore.
He is wanting to see thiscollective turning back to him,
and it thrills me to hear whatPastor Dan shared about this
young age beginning to youngerage.
Read the word, reading the word, they're going to respond to

(22:24):
the word and you know, wow, thatbrings a lot of encouragement.
Looking for truth, that's it.

Dan Wermuth (22:31):
And that they saw the Bible as the place where
they would find it, becausesocial media has not given them
truth.
It's so true.
It just presented other things.
You know, when you talk aboutJonah, he's the reluctant
revivalist.
Yes, the reluctant revivalist.
Yeah, I mean Reluctantrevivalist.
A reluctant revivalist.
If you read the scripture youknow he didn't like the people
of Nineveh.
He did just as soon God, killthem.

(22:52):
Lord, help the church, helpChristians who are so reluctant.
They just as soon let the worldgo to hell in a handbasket
instead of obeying God.
Thank God for a whale.
That's right, you know and for achange of heart and because God
loved Nineveh, he wanted toshow the world his mercy, and

(23:16):
this is before Calvary.
So since Calvary and since theupper room, how much the more is
the mercy of God being releasedin the earth.
So I don't want to be areluctant revivalist and I think
every believer needs to be arevivalist.
We need to stir revival.

Chris Hoyer (23:34):
Well, jonah, he wanted to go back and preach
where it was easy.
That's why he went back, andGod didn't call us to preach and
teach where it was easy.

Dan Wermuth (23:42):
So you know that picture you just talked about,
with here's Jonah going to adifferent city.
What about Nehemiah you weretalking about?

Dave Pizinger (23:53):
Nehemiah and his heart to see the rebuilding of a
community of faith.
Which actually takes us to whathappened in Joplin, missouri.
Yeah, we had a group of pastorsthat we were meeting with, and
I'd say probably 25 pastors, andwe were meeting weekly, every
week, week which I'm actuallystill carrying on, that pastoral
meeting, thank you for carryingthe mantle yeah, but, um, we

(24:13):
knew that there needed to be amove of god in our region and we
knew that god wants to move inour region.
And so we came together andbegan to pray and ask god, what
does that look like?
And we had an elderly gentlemancome to us and says god spoke
to my heart and gave me a dreamand said let's rebuild the walls
.
And so we came together andsaid, well, how do we do this?
You know what?
What is the format in which wecan?

(24:34):
We can bring in the differentdenominations without doctrinal
debates or, you know, interference from one view
versus another.
And we all agreed it was souls.
Yeah, god's heart in revival issouls anyway, amen.
And so we knocked on pastor'sdoors for 18 months telling them
about this, this greatawakening that's coming.
We want you to be a part of it.

(24:55):
We want you to bring in lostsouls with you.
And so we ended up getting aBaptist pastor from Las Vegas,
nevada, to come.
Because it was common ground.
We decided that we were goingto use the stadium at MSSU,
which they were so gracious tolet us use, and we brought him
in on the basis of soul.
So when the pastors came, theydidn't bring souls, they bring

(25:16):
curiosity.
Yeah, they did.
And that's what we have nowright now with revival, you know
how it's going to break out andwhat it really looks like.
There's a curiosity and thepeople are hearing right now
that they've got that curiosity.
What are they going to say next?
I'll tell you what happenednext.
The first night we talked onsouls.
Nobody went forward becauseeverybody was pretty well saved.

(25:37):
So the second night we decidedthat we'd talk to this Baptist
pastor and say well, let's bringunity back to the body of
Christ, let's start crossingthese denominational barriers,
and we'll start asking let'sbring unity back to the body of
Christ, let's start crossingthese denominational barriers,
and we'll start asking him tobring a conviction upon their
hearts for any kind ofunforgiveness that we might have
one towards another.
That night the tarmac got full, the spirit of God just dropped

(26:01):
and pastors are crying andthey're asking them to forgive
one another.
It was amazing to watch thishappen.
Third night, same thing and therevival was over.
But one year later came thetornado.
Yeah, and because of what wasplanted in that moment, in that
time, awakening was a heart ofunity.

(26:23):
Yes, and when it came, the storm, churches started opening their
doors, yes, and inviting otherpastors in to host their
congregations yes, and it brokeloose.

Dan Wermuth (26:33):
We helped one another, we did.
We served one another.
We did.
We empowered one another.
That's right.
Our resources that came my waywent whoever else's way.

Kim McIntire (26:42):
Right.

Dan Wermuth (26:42):
In order that we could serve the body of Christ
and the community, and peoplesaw the face of Jesus in our
recovery, because that revivalwas a revival of unity, bringing
hearts together.
So because we found the bannerof Jesus to be the one we could
all stand under, and the lostbeing one, and then unity being

(27:04):
the, the motivation, the vehicleof it.
I would say, kim, there that'sone picture of a revival that um
really gave us platform to seepeople saved and come to christ
during the recovery time, andthousands and thousands of
people came to christ who hadeither never been to church or

(27:25):
were out of church because achurch hurt or just, you know,
got out of the habit, and thenyou know the Church of Jesus
Christ is responding to peoplein this community and that gave
revival of people returning tothe Lord in the midst of the
recovery time.
And so revival has differenttakes on different expressions,

(27:48):
but it's always about awakeningthe heart of the individual,
isn't it?

Kim McIntire (27:52):
Yes.

Dan Wermuth (27:53):
Absolutely.
I really like the way.
A moment ago, what was beingsaid by Pastor Dave was that
Nehemiah component rebuildingthe walls.
There was a lot of work forNehemiah not just the physical
building of his city to getworship again, because wherever

(28:13):
the presence of God was, thenthe people of God in that day
would have protection andblessing and prosperity.
So there needed to be aphysical, you know, joining
together.
But he had to deal with so manychallenges inside the church or
the congregation of the Lordand from outside in order for
there to be revival.

(28:34):
And there was.
There's this moment where theword of God is being read and
the people start to weep andmourn and the priest and
Nehemiah they said stop yourcrying.
You know, don't, don't cry,Don't weep, Don't mourn.
Listen, go home, make a bigdinner, provide food for people,
celebrate, for this day is holyto the Lord.

(28:57):
What was holy about that moment?
What was holy about it is thatthe word of God had revived the
hearts of the people, that theywould want to serve the Lord.
You have a vision, with Rise Up, for people's hearts to
literally be surrendered againto the Lord, Am I right?
Yes, yes, absolutely and that wewould find him again in our

(29:18):
personal lives, and then howthat literally overflows into
every other relationship.

Kim McIntire (29:23):
It's so true.
It's so true, it's so true.
The Rise Up Conference, august1st and 2nd.
Our theme is revival.
I hate to put the word themewith it, but the truth is that's
what we're telling people.
This is a revival conference.
We want people to come withexpectation, with a hunger to
see God move in ways theyhaven't seen him move before,

(29:47):
and we believe that part ofrevival is people experiencing
the manifest presence of God andknowing the glory of the Lord
is in the room.
And when the glory of the Lordis in the room, where the spirit
of the Lord is, there isfreedom, there is liberty.
So we believe people are goingto be set free.
We believe people are going tobe set on fire, their hearts
burning for God in ways theynever thought were even possible

(30:10):
, and it's going to happen.
I mean, we're praying, we'refasting, we're believing, we're
talking to other people aboutrevival and you guys, being here
just is just one of the manythings God is doing to prepare
people, yes, to be there August1st and to come expectant.
And these all these, you know, references to biblical

(30:32):
references, nehemiah, the, the10 virgins, yes, jonah and
Nineveh these are just thelayers and there's so much more
God wants to do.
He's done so much, but there'sso much more God wants to do,
and it's for now.
Revival is now.
It's now so.

Dan Wermuth (30:52):
I'm excited If I can tell you this.
I appreciate that Rise Up is amovement or a motivation or an
activation.
Motivation or an activation?
Um so there are pastors who begGod let their church be the
next place where he puts hisfinger of blessing, so that
somehow that validateseverything they think they've

(31:15):
gone through.
That's been hard, or?
whatever and they want the nextgreat quote revival they, you
know.
So they can basically brand itas we have an encounter with the
Lord and we've seen God visitplaces that were hungry.
But there are people who seethat and think I want that from

(31:35):
my place so that I can be seen.
But those places he visited hedidn't visit because they wanted
to be seen, it's because theywere on their face, they were
hungry.
So what I love about Rise Up isthat it's a movement that's
motivating a heart to surrenderthe Lord, saying let it be
corporate across the whole bodyof Christ.

(31:56):
And that's where pastors, youknow, in 14 years, 15 years ago,
they're repenting for unity.
14 years, 15 years ago, therepenting for unity.
How about a fresh repenting fromshepherds and leaders that not
my house, Lord, our houses, all,all the places where the people
of God gather, may there be amove of God and if we will

(32:17):
contend each of us arecontending in our areas of our
assignments contend for thepresence of God, of our
assignments.
Contend for the presence of God, but do so now, in this day
that it's not for just one spotthat he's touching, but it's the
first drop of the rain anddeluge of God, if you might use
that that pours out like amighty river of God or a great

(32:38):
outpouring of the Lord.
Elijah had a fire on Carmel, right you know there's this fire
that comes down on the Lord.
Elijah had a fire on Carmel, right, you know there's this
fire that comes down on thealtar.
I think sometimes pastors thinkin terms of I want to be the
next Mount Carmel and the nextfire down, but mad it be what
the scripture said, thatliterally the presence of the
Lord would cover the earth evenas the waters cover the sea.

(32:59):
That's a different picture,that's a corporate picture.
So rise up, oh sons anddaughters of God, awaken from
your slumber.

Kim McIntire (33:08):
And I love.
One of the things I love aboutRise Up is its goal is to cross
denominational lines.
One of its goals that there isunity in the body of Christ and
there's not just a name.
You know above it, you know asfar as a denomination and you
spoke to that so well becausewe're going outside the walls of

(33:31):
a church and we're sayingrevival.
You know, it doesn't happen ina church all the time.
Sometimes it does, but revivalscan happen in places like
Nineveh, you know, and so that'sone of the beautiful parts of
Rise Up is it's not contained.
You know, and we're hopingpeople from all denominations
come, people who've neverexperienced a move of the Holy

(33:53):
Spirit are there and they arecaptivated by that moment the
DNAs that I notice about Rise Upis that you do not speak about
denominations or churchbackgrounds, as if they are
separate and divided.

Dan Wermuth (34:11):
I appreciate that you don't speak to that, like
some people are trying to say,we need to break down the
denominational barriers.
I honestly think if we wouldlift the banner of Jesus, if we
would contend for his presence, then all of God's sons and
daughters will find connectionand unity and then I can
celebrate the backgrounds ofevery brother and sister that I

(34:33):
have who came from somedifferent stream.
That's right.
Whatever stream they came from,or whatever group or camp, I
celebrate that.
They brought part of revival inparticular times and seasons of
life, and so we celebrate it.
I'm not going to, you know, speak down to it.
I want to enhance it.
I grow from that.
Cross-pollination is important,but you've identified that what

(34:56):
God is doing in the earth rightnow is he's calling his sons
and daughters to rise up andhave an encounter with the
living God and the person ofHoly Spirit.
That'll bring the great harvestthat has been called for in
this day.
And you know we are the oneswith that assignment.

Kim McIntire (35:15):
It's true, my mom and dad moved to heaven already,
so we're the ones with thatassignment Rise up, you know.

Dave Pizinger (35:22):
You look at Isaiah 60.
It's a rise and shine.
Yeah, it's getting up higher.
Yeah, it's seeing things fromGod's view.

Kim McIntire (35:30):
That's right, that's so good.

Dan Wermuth (35:32):
I like that verse.

Kim McIntire (35:33):
Oh, I love that verse.
It's so good.
