The Yanks were embarrassed by the Blue Jays 10-1, as Judge CHOKED in huge spot AGAIN, and the pitching unraveled.  This was a blowout, but it didn't have to be, as the Yanks need to right the ship Sunday.

  • Cam Schlittler DOMINATES as the Yanks eliminate the Red Sox 4-0.
  • Schlittler struck out 12 Sox and pitched 8 shutout innings in one of the most classic post season starts in Yankee history.

The Yanks evened the Wildcard series as Rice and Chisholm star. Wells' huge 8th inning hit scored Chisholm in a 4-3 thriller in the Bronx.

The 2 hitters Boone left out of the lineup Tuesday carried the Yanks tonight, reinforcing what a terrible move it was in Game 1.

  • Boone wastes Max Fried’s gem of a game against the Sox as the Yankee  bullpen immediately blows game 1.
  • Aaron Boone pulled a red hot Max Fried for no reason, and the Yanks paid the price.  Meanwhile Alex Cora left Crochet in, as good managers do with hot pitchers.
  • Boone also kept the white hot Rice on the bench all game in favor of the awful Wells.
  • The Yanks inability to put the ball in play again haunts them in the 9th as they do...

The Yankees gave their best effort to catch the Blue Jays, but it wasn't quite enough.  They finished tied with Toronto for the BEST record in the AL, but lost the tiebreaker and will play in the Wild Card round as a result. I discuss the Yankees season, their finish, the upcoming Wild Card round against the Red Sox and more!

The Jaxson Dart era began with an upset win over San Diego, as the Giants beat the Chargers 21-18!

Dart was decent as a passer and great as a runner in his first NFL start. But a Malik Nabers knee injury loomed heavy over the big win.

Scattebo was fun again and should have a great Giants career.

Rutgers loses in crushing fashion in Minnesota Saturday 31-28.

Rutgers Defense remains poor overall, and STILL cannot manage to get to the QB or generate turnovers. An absolutely brutal ending tarnished a great game by Antwan Raymond.   Poor specials teams play for the 2nd week in a row is shocking, and has me wanting a new kicker.

The Giants fell to 0-3.  Again ... Russell Wilson and the Giants looked pathetic in a 22-9 loss to Chiefs. Wilson looked awful for the 2nd time in 3 games as calls for Dart grew louder.  Cam Scattebo looked awesome though.

Rutgers dropped its critical Big 10 opener 38-28 to Iowa, as the offense continued to shine, and the defense continues to struggle.  Rutgers has its best offensive talent in 20 years, but it appears it may be wasted on a team with a surprisingly poor defense.

  • Rutgers starts 3-0 but has injury concerns.  A 60-10 drubbing of Norfolk St didn’t tell us much. But a huge Iowa game looms for this Friday night at home!
  • The Giants lost an OT heartbreaker with Wilson excelling in Dallas, as the defense and penalties led to an exciting but  devastating loss.  Wilson was brilliant and the defense was atrocious.

The Giants opened the season in disastrous fashion, geting embarrassed by Washington 21-6. The O line was pathetic, and on top of that, Russell Wilson was terrible and panicky all game.

Rutgers' offense carried RU to a 45-17 win over Miami (Ohio).  RU's wide receivers are elite, and our RB room is very deep.  Kaliakmanis was quite good again and the offense hummed along at will seemingly. The defense struggled plenty again, as Rutgers continues to look for defensive improvement. The lack of a pass rush and ongoing awful safety play continue to haunt a defense that needs to quickly improve before Big 10 p...

Rutgers hung on and beat a talented Ohio team with an excellent QB, to win 34-31 at Rutgers stadium.  For better or worse, it played out mostly as expected with Rutgers' offense mostly humming along nicely, and Rutgers' D looking mostly poor.  Greg Schiano's decision with under   minutes left to go for it on 4th and 7 won the game.  I discuss the huge balls it takes to make that call and how that was the only way Rut...

Jaxson Dart looks every bit a future starting franchise QB for the Giants.  I discuss how Dart has looked so far, how the Giants look overall, and how exciting it is to have confidence in QBs for a change.

I also talk about how not much has changed for the Yanks unfortunately ..

The Yankees continued poor defense, poor baserunning ("Running the bases like drunks!"), and overall poor play speaks volumes about their inability to go far in October.  I discuss the continued woes as well as why we should hang on to our young assets at the trade deadline.

  • Yankees:  It’s time for the soft Yankees to stop accepting losing.  Pollyanna Boone and his band of merry losers need to get mad, and not just accept this extended poor play. Bad play is one thing.  Accepting it is quite another.
  • NY Rangers: the NY Rangers and Drury continue to turn the team over.  With K'Andre Miller traded, Gavrikov signed, the Rangers have so many new faces, and a new coach, and .. new announcers.  What ...

The Yankees hitting has been atrocious in June, both in production and more importantly in approach.  Also, I discuss tempering expectations and how Anthony Volpe 100% cannot be the Yankees shortstop of the future.

The Rangers traded away Chris Kreider to Anaheim, as the team shakeup continues.  Drury's chaos continues as he looks to disrupt this team.

I discuss the return, and all the plusses and minuses of Kreider now and over the years for one of the most loved Rangers.

    Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
