SPEAKER_00 (00:01):
welcome to the jesus michael and ashley's show uh
this episode three so youexcited yeah yeah excited it's
been a little bit so little bylittle we're getting better at
this so uh bear with us um ibought a very expensive
microphone it was echoing it waspicking up all the sounds of our
little animals so now we're backon these but they actually sound

(00:23):
pretty good it's actually fuzzyYeah, that's best.
You're so darn cute.
You're so cute.
All right, so today's episode, what we're going to talk about
is the Holy Spirit, also knownas the Helper.
So we're going to discuss how heoperates and how the Holy Spirit
has brought us back to ourjourney with Christ.
So I thought that'd be a goodepisode.

(00:46):
So let's start off with theBible verse.

UNKNOWN (00:48):
Okay.

SPEAKER_00 (00:48):
John 14, 26, 27.
Yeah, so that's kind of like alittle bit there to kind of
start us off with the HolySpirit.

(01:15):
Okay.
I like it.
Yeah.
So going through my research andjust things, one of the main
things the Holy Spirit is, isthe Holy Spirit is a

SPEAKER_01 (01:26):
teacher.

SPEAKER_00 (01:27):
Okay.
So any examples where he'staught you anything?

SPEAKER_01 (01:31):
Come

SPEAKER_00 (01:34):
on.
I'm sharing the conviction.
Here's the

SPEAKER_01 (01:36):
conviction, folks.
I mean, I'm sure there is, and Iwas trying to think of stuff
before we did this.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, I guess teachingme what not to do in life.
Put it on the spot.
Yeah.
Teaching me what not to do, Imean, as in like partying

SPEAKER_00 (01:58):
and being

SPEAKER_01 (02:00):
substances and things of that nature that we
don't do anymore.
And drinking and all that.
I mean, that's a teachingmoment.
I had teaching moments during...
doing those things.
I would definitely say that.

SPEAKER_00 (02:20):
Huge.
Huge for us personally.
Our lives...
from here where there were likesix months ago, excuse me, is so
much better than what it used tobe.
And again, that's what Christbeing in us and the Holy Spirit,
Christ and the Holy Spiritliving like within us and
helping us.
So he's a teacher.

(02:40):
That was a good one.

SPEAKER_01 (02:43):
I don't need to go.
It's like put me on the spotnow.

SPEAKER_00 (02:46):
Yeah, exactly.
Okay.
All right.
So another one is you can askthe Holy Spirit for guidance.
So So this could be for allsorts of things.
You can literally ask the HolySpirit for anything.
So for instance, you can ask himfor guidance throughout the
week.
So what I like to do is pray inJesus' name, like, Holy Spirit,
please come into our hearts, guide us throughout the week,

(03:06):
help us to make the rightdecisions.
And it could even be like apurchase.
So for instance, one of themwas, you see this nice little
shiny MacBook Pro we have here?
So funny story about that one.
So I wanted to purchase thisMacBook Pro.
Me and Ashley did not at themoment have the funds.

(03:28):
So I was like, let's just swipeit on credit.
You know what I mean?
We'll pay for it.
The Lord will provide.
And he did.
But she didn't feel right aboutus purchasing this very
expensive MacBook.

SPEAKER_01 (03:40):
Not even a little bit.

SPEAKER_00 (03:43):
So she helped me.
The Holy Spirit helped me.
And I was like, okay, weshouldn't buy this.
It's not the right time.
So we prayed about it.
And lo and behold, everythingworks out.
I sold my vehicle.
I didn't even get to put thefirst sell sign on the vehicle.
It

SPEAKER_01 (04:01):
just sold real quick in a very convenient way.

SPEAKER_00 (04:03):
Yes, yes.
The easiest

SPEAKER_01 (04:05):
possible way ever.

SPEAKER_00 (04:07):
Yeah, exactly.
So anyways, it paid for thisMacBook.
And the Holy Spirit was like, hey, just have patience.
I got you.
And this has been very helpfulin what we're doing here.
Thank you, Holy Spirit.
It has

SPEAKER_01 (04:23):
been nice.
And I would say, and one thatpopped into my head, I don't
know if this is guidance or not,but when you're driving in the
car, and we live in Las Vegas, and the driving's terrible, and
it's terrifying, and people aredoing crazy things.

(04:44):
And sometimes you're just like,Holy Spirit, please get me
through this, and I don't wantto have any road rage.
So it's like, I feel like...
The Holy Spirit's good forliterally guiding you through
your day and your everydaythings.
Absolutely.
It's because he's in there, andhe literally guides your body, I

(05:07):
feel like.
Like your soul and your body andyour mind and everything.
Because it's within you.
The Holy Spirit's within

SPEAKER_00 (05:15):
you.
And the best part about that isthat you can pray to the Holy
Spirit because God the Fatherwants what's best for you.
So when you're praying forthings that are good for you,
good for your spirit, the HolySpirit, it's like the Holy
Spirit, like he wants that.
So God the Father, he makes thathappen.
So he helps you put you on theright path.

UNKNOWN (05:37):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (05:37):
Always praying for good things that are good for
you.
So another one is the HolySpirit can also send you a
certain task, talk to a personor prepare an event or even
train you for something.
So there's all sorts ofdifferent ways the Holy Spirit
can help you.
I've had instances where I feltthe need to go and speak to that
person.
Or just the other day, I thinkthere was we...

(06:01):
um it was a in and out that webought some in and out for a
person um they were outside itwas we were getting some in and
out so why not buy themsomething enough so it felt like
the right thing to do somethingwas urging you know sometimes
when you're gonna give money tosomebody or something like that
you kind of like i don't know ifi should and then the holy
spirit convicted you you're likelet's just do it yeah

SPEAKER_01 (06:20):
yeah i had that that was the thing is like i saw the
guy and i was just like I waskind of fighting with myself,
which is so silly, because I waslike, we were in the car, and it
popped into my head.
I was like, oh, we should getthat guy a burger.
And he had a dog, and I waslike, we should get the dog a
few burger patties.
And then in my head, I wasfighting with myself.

(06:40):
I was like, no, no.
And I was like, no.
Why are you fighting withyourself on this?
It's a good thing to do.
If you want to get the guy aburger, get the guy a burger.
We have the funds to getourselves a burger.
We can get that guy a burger.
And I was just like, Just tellyour husband.
Just tell him.
Don't be nervous about it.
Just say it.

(07:00):
And so I was like, I want to getthat guy a burger.
And he's like, all right, cool.
So it's silly, though, becauseyou have to listen to it.
If you really feel like you wantto do that, and it's a good
thing to do, I mean...
You

SPEAKER_00 (07:15):
know?
Absolutely.
You have to have like thecourage to, when the Holy Spirit
tells you to do something andit's something good, you want to
do that, you know?
And it's hard to, sometimes youwant to, you don't want to leave
your comfort zone.
And so that's kind of like athing.
It's like, it's comforting tosit in our car and not have to
like, you know, roll down thewindow and have this whole
conversation.
Or you can just go ahead and doit and you know it's going to be

(07:37):
a good thing in the end.
And so again, like you just, theHoly Spirit's always trying to
guide you to do things that aregood, righteous, and and
especially feeding people, whichis a good thing to have.

SPEAKER_01 (07:48):
I feel like you'll get those nervous feelings or
just those negative thoughts.
That's not God.
If you want to do it, thenyou've got to do the good thing.
I was going to say really quickon that.
You have a story that we'regoing to talk about later in

(08:09):
another video about feeling thatthe pull to go talk to a person

SPEAKER_00 (08:16):
yeah

SPEAKER_01 (08:16):
which then brought on a whole story which is very
interesting

SPEAKER_00 (08:20):
yes uh we can't wait to share with you guys yeah
we're

SPEAKER_01 (08:23):
excited to share that story but it's just it's
going to be a whole video in andof itself but that's what i
thought of first immediately wasthat and it's it's it's going to
be a good one

SPEAKER_00 (08:34):
and that's what this this show is all about is kind
of Showing our path with Christ, coming from electronic music
festival kids, party goers, festivals, you know, all the
sorts and our journey withChrist and how much he's changed
our lives.
And just the supernatural thingswe've experienced, our testimony

(08:56):
that we want to share with youin case you've had a similar
testimony or a similarexperience.
And also we want to shed thelight on the biblical aspects of
those things that happened.
A lot of times these thingshappen to people in everyday
things, and they write it off asjust normal.
But now that we're reading theBible, we're seeing the biblical

(09:17):
and the spiritual aspects of thespiritual warfare that's
happening.
There's also a very amazingstory that she wants to bring
up.
It's actually a very good storydealing with God and the Holy
Spirit, which we're going toshare.

SPEAKER_01 (09:31):
Yeah.

UNKNOWN (09:33):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (09:33):
um so the holy spirit brings reminders

SPEAKER_01 (09:36):
okay

SPEAKER_00 (09:37):
yeah so i would say okay so for instance um i have a
i have a brother who is inprison and um i felt i can't
tell you how many times the holyspirit has nudged me to to write
a letter to him um and i wasletting everyday life just get
in the way and Um, over and overthe nudge kept saying it, he

(10:01):
would pop in my head.
I'm like, you know, I got to doit.
And then I would put it off overand over.
I kept doing that.
And to the point where like theHoly spirit's like grabbing me
and shaking me like that.
And this is like, and so I justhad to sit down and I sat down
and wrote a whole letter, um, Itwas good.
It was really good.
I sent that letter off to him.

(10:21):
That's just one reminder.
There's often times like thatwhere I'm always just being
reminded to do something, tosend that text to that one
friend.
A name will pop into my headsometimes.
It'll be

SPEAKER_01 (10:34):
like,

SPEAKER_00 (10:35):
call that person.
Text that person.
Have a conversation with them.
I haven't had in a long time.
If the opportunity arises, I'llbring up Christ and speak about
it and how he He's been workingin our lives and just how
amazing He's been.
So yeah, reminders and thingslike that, it happens all the

(10:55):
time.
So be a reminder for that.
Listen to the Holy Spirit.
So

SPEAKER_01 (10:59):
I had a good reminder the past, today and
yesterday, and I think this isan interesting one.
And maybe even, I don't know, not silly, but a reminder to
pray.
And it's this...
I like...
It's like this burden in yourchest, in your heart, in your

(11:21):
soul that's just pulling you tosit down and pray.
And I...
Don't usually get that.
I'm still working with God onthat, and that's okay.
I think sometimes we all got towork on that.
But I have a prayer journal, andI prefer to pray and write in
the journal, but I've beenpraying that I could just sit

(11:46):
down with God with just mywords.
And I just felt the burdenyesterday and today to do that.
um not a burden but it just youknow you feel it's like it it's
it's a reminder it keeps it youcan't forget about it yeah um
until you go do it and so ifinally today went and did that

(12:08):
and it was it was great Um, andthe, the burden of it was gone,
you know?
Yeah.
It was like, I asked God to helpand he's like, okay, well, I'm
going to just set it right hereuntil you do it.
You could go think of somethingelse, but it's going to come
right back.
And that's what kept happening.

SPEAKER_00 (12:26):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (12:26):
So I feel like that's a, that's a, that's my
favorite reminder because that'swhat I need.

SPEAKER_00 (12:31):
Yeah, for sure.
Um, I like how you said youprayed for it and it happened.
So that goes again, goes back topraying for things that are good
for you because god's like ourfather he's like our father in
heaven and we're like his sonand children so when you're
praying for things that are goodfor you like lord and this is
such a good prayer if you're abeginning christian or whatever

(12:53):
it might be praying like lordplease help me to have more
wisdom like lord please and prayfor it again and again that's
what i prayed for and the holyspirit convicted me and i was
digging into this this biblei've three months or so, I've
already read, I've read thisentire book and I'm already on a

(13:16):
couple more read throughs kindof thing.
So, um, you pray for things likethat that are good for you and
you pray for Lord, uh, help meto know you better.
Help me to love you more.
You know, like if you don'tlike, if you're just like
feeling so close to Lord, helpme to be closer to you.
Those things, he likes it whenyou pray for those things.
It's loving to his heart.

(13:38):
God is very personal.
And so he wants what's best forhis children.
He's like, that's something Iwant my children to pray for.
And

SPEAKER_01 (13:47):
I think he knows that it can be hard

SPEAKER_00 (13:50):
for

SPEAKER_01 (13:50):
us because we live in the world.

UNKNOWN (13:54):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (13:54):
Distractions everywhere.
Everything's a distraction fromJesus Christ.
Everything is a distraction.
It's

SPEAKER_01 (14:00):
hard, so he knows that.
And so when you're asking himfor guidance and reminders and
teachings to be closer to him, Imean, I feel like he's going to
answer that.

SPEAKER_00 (14:14):
Yeah, absolutely.
Okay, so another one we have isthe Holy Spirit gives nudges,
sometimes a sign or a feeling ora call to do something.
So that's almost kind of what wejust spoke about, reminders.
I did have a Bible verse.
Do you have anything that youmight bring to mind for nudging?
No, I

SPEAKER_01 (14:33):
feel like that kind of was going with reminders.
Because that's kind of what itwas for my...
my prayer time was like nudgingand like the nudging and the
like burden you know that likefeeling that you can't get rid
of until you do the thing that'sinside

SPEAKER_00 (14:52):
okay perfect okay no no that's perfect i need you to
say something because i had topull this bible verse real quick
so you did amazing i love you iknew what he was doing okay So I
pulled up this Bible verse thathas something to do with
nudging, which I'm trying to domore because in the first two

(15:14):
episodes, I didn't have enough.
We were just talking aboutbiblical stuff, but I want to
have more Bible verses to bringinto it and tie into things
because I want to keep this asbiblical as we can.
So here's a verse in Acts.
So the Holy Spirit said toPhilip, go over and walk.
Along beside the carriage,Philip ran over and heard the

(15:37):
man reading from the prophetIsaiah.
Philip asked, Do you understandwhat you're reading?
The man replied, How can Iunless someone instructs me?
And he urged Philip to come upinto the carriage and sit with
him.
The passage of scripture he hadbeen reading was this, So
basically, we'll just stop therebefore we read what the passage

(15:59):
they read.
It says, the Holy Spirit said toPhilip, go over and walk along
besides the carriage.
So Philip was just...
The Holy Spirit spoke to Spirit, and he was nudged.
Or even, you know, the HolySpirit spoke to him in his
spirit.
He said, hey, go walk besidethat carriage.
So he went over to walk besidehim.
He's like, I don't know what I'mdoing.
And that's happened to me.
The Holy Spirit's convicting meto do something, and I don't

(16:21):
know why I'm doing it.
And then all of a sudden, itclicks.
So all of a sudden, this guy'sreading from the scroll of
Isaiah.
And he's like, oh, you'rereading from the scroll of
Isaiah.
Like, I'm a Christian.
This is why we're supposed tohave this conversation.
So Philip talks to him.
And the guy's like, I'm readingthe scroll and i don't know what
i'm reading i don't know whatthis even means and so philip

(16:41):
was there to help him findmeaning to what this meant and
so this is what the scroll saidand it's and keep in mind what
this scroll in isaiah it'sspeaking about jesus so it says
the scroll said he was led likea sheep to the slaughter and as
a lamb is silent before theshears he did not open his mouth
He was humiliated and receivedno justice.

(17:04):
We can speak of his descendants, for his life was taken from the
earth.
And so that's speaking of Jesusbeing taken as a lamb and
slaughtered for us.
So he was reading about aprophecy in Isaiah about Jesus
Christ, and he didn't know whatit meant.
The eunuch asked Philip, Tellme, was the prophet talking

(17:26):
about himself or someone else?
So he began with this samescripture.
Bill told him the good newsabout Jesus Christ.
So he found him just in thatmoment when he was reading a
prophecy about Jesus Christ.
And Jesus is like, this is thegood news.
This is Jesus Christ.
He died for you and me and you.
And the good news is here.

(17:46):
All you have to do is professwith your lips and accept Jesus
Christ as your Lord and Savior.
And he he will and you'll besaved and he will change your
heart like he changed our heartsbut that's all you have to do is
just profess it and that's whatyou do is you humble yourself
you humble yourself and be likelord you know if you're out

(18:07):
there you know but we know he'sout there but you just you
profess it with your lips yousay you're my lord and savior
and you believe what he he diedfor his sins and that was enough
um so i thought that was reallyawesome and then um That was in
Acts 8, 29 through 35.
And so after that story, justreal quick, Philip, the end of

(18:30):
that story basically is thatPhilip finds some water nearby
and he baptizes this eunuch.
Nice.
And he becomes a follower ofChrist.
And probably from there, thateunuch came in like a mustard
seed.
grew very small and he probablybrought more people to Christ
and so that's kind of like whatwe're trying to do right here is
spread the good news and spreada little mustard seeds and

(18:53):
hopefully bring more people toChrist because it's the most
important thing to me and us andyou know we feel you know we
want to get the good word outthere because a lot of people
are being deceived by Satan andwe're just very glad that we
woke up from our path ofdestruction and we're glad that
christ brought us back to himand it's just a beautiful thing

SPEAKER_01 (19:16):
so yeah

SPEAKER_00 (19:17):
yeah cool all right so

SPEAKER_01 (19:19):
that was good

SPEAKER_00 (19:20):
yeah that was good that was a good example yeah um
so the holy spirit will convictyou what do you think about that
one

SPEAKER_01 (19:30):
what

SPEAKER_00 (19:31):
do you think about that one about with the macbook
computer i'm trying to get itbefore i have the money yo uh
But it can convict you.
Okay, so for instance, I wouldsay...
Okay, the good one with this ishe convicts you because...
You know, you're doing somethingyou're not supposed to do,

(19:51):
right?
Like there's something, youknow, you got to let go.
That's taking too much time.
For instance, being on yourphone, being on your phone a
lot, something that the HolySpirit convicted me.
And this also goes with likeidols, things that are idols in
your heart.
Jesus would be in your heart, not have these other idols.
You want to put Jesus Christfirst in your heart.

(20:12):
So being on your phone and, youknow, scrolling and scrolling
and scrolling, the Holy Spiritwas convicting me like, hey,
it's like Jesus and the HolySpirit is like knocking on me
and saying like, yeah, you'reputting me way last you're over
here.
Yeah.
on your phone before you go tobed for an hour and a half.
And what do I get?
Do I get a five minute prayer?

(20:34):
I get a five minute prayer andyou're on your phone for an hour
and a half scrolling, scrolling,scrolling.
So the Holy Spirit convicted meto start putting Christ first.
So my practice every day is whatI like to do is before bed, I
kneel down because I like tohumbly get before my God and
just pray for anything, pray forthe world, pray for people who

(20:56):
still need Christ in their livesand for, you know, of guidance
from the Holy Spirit, thingslike that.
And in the morning before I pickup my phone, I'll read a
devotional, which is adevotional is kind of like a
spiritual scripture just to kindof set your day kind of thing
but also I'll before I startscrolling on YouTube or things

(21:16):
like that I'll pray to God andjust pray about the day and
similar things like that prayingfor other people and it says in
the Bible to never stop ceasepraying there's just there's so
much power in prayer and I can'tstress that enough I'm praying
for all our friends all ourfamily for just everyone and
just praying that God would givethem a heart to to just open up

(21:41):
to him because he just needs anopening and when he finds and
comes into your heart he will helike churns your heart it's this
i can't explain it you it's likeit's called being born again
christian but um when it happenslike you'll know you'll feel the
conviction of the holy spiritand the conviction of the sin
and all the things that we'vedone in our lives that we know

(22:03):
we shouldn't have done but it'slike i know i'm sorry i'm sorry
god sorry and that's theconviction and that's where it
comes from it's like he can't heneeds to have that before you
can let him in so conviction's ahuge one

SPEAKER_01 (22:19):
it's like one of my favorite things was instead of
trying to gain things withinyourself or in your life or
anything like that I forget whosaid it was like what I think it
was Pastor Gia.
What can I get rid of to makeroom for more of God in my life,

(22:44):
for God in general?
And I always love that.
It's not word for word, butthat's the gist of it.
Instead of more, more, more, what can I get rid of?
What can I get rid of?
And there's a lot of things thatwe've both gotten rid of.
Things

SPEAKER_00 (23:04):
that don't serve God.
Yeah,

SPEAKER_01 (23:06):
a lot of things.
And it truly does make more roomfor God in your life.

SPEAKER_00 (23:14):
And with that comes more peace.

SPEAKER_01 (23:16):
Oh yeah, definitely.

SPEAKER_00 (23:17):
We are living very peaceful lives.
The Holy Spirit, that's anotherone I don't have on here.
It actually is on here.
The Holy Spirit brings peace.
And actually, that's the nextone.
That's the next one.
That's so funny.
That's the next one.
I had to switch pages.
Yeah, the Holy Spirit bringspeace.
There's been instances whereGod's confirmed something with

(23:39):
me, like in a prayer, and I feellike at peace.
It's almost like he's saying yesto whatever that was.
He's answering my question, andI feel peace, like there's peace
upon me.
And that's the Holy Spiritbringing peace into my heart.
confirming with me that theanswer was yes or no or whatever

(24:00):
it might have been like it couldbe like letting go of something
like you were saying

SPEAKER_01 (24:05):
also about about peace I think I said this in one
of our other videos so I'll justbriefly say it again about
anxiety and worry that's notfrom God because God brings
peace so it's just anotherexample of I have way less

(24:29):
anxiety and worry in my life nowthat I have God, and it's truly
so much more peaceful.
It really is.

SPEAKER_00 (24:39):
I feel like the thing that comes along with that
is the hope, but also with ourfaith.
We know with 100% certainty thatthis is the truth based on our
testimonies and what we've gonethrough and how the Holy
Spirit's convicted us.
and how he's made us feel.
And we're going to share somemore stories with you.

(25:01):
But we know this to be thetruth.
And if this is to be the truth, all we need to do is accept
Jesus Christ as our Lord andSavior and try to live a more
righteous, holy life, whichwe're trying to do.
And when you try to do that,it's not worldly.
And so when you're not doingsomething that's worldly, the
world pushes back on that.
But anyways, what I'm trying tosay is that we have a...

(25:25):
hope, and we know that the Lordis coming back.
He's coming back and there'ssomething after this life.
There is something after thislife.
And it's not

SPEAKER_01 (25:34):
coming back into the same world as something else.
No, no.
It's definitely not.
It's none of those

SPEAKER_00 (25:41):
weird things.
We used to be new agey.

SPEAKER_01 (25:43):
It's none of that stuff.
It's the kingdom that has beencreated for us.
And that's beautiful and itreally does bring peace because
I think there's something else.
It's in some songs that we wesing at church and um death has

(26:03):
no grip on us because there'snothing to be scared of

SPEAKER_00 (26:07):
yeah

SPEAKER_01 (26:08):
um and don't get me wrong i still feel fear every
now and then i still fear feelscared sometimes um but really
when you think about it whenyou're scared or when you're
fearful if you really thinkabout it just for a second
you're like actually it it'sgonna be fine because even if
things go completely sidewaysi'm gonna be totally fine um

(26:33):
because i know where i know whati have an idea of what's in
store for us and i know it'ssomething that we can't even
imagine so it's gonna be that'swhy i say that because i don't
really know because we couldnever even imagine what

SPEAKER_00 (26:47):
it is it says that in the bible it's so

SPEAKER_01 (26:49):
it's so peaceful to know that It really is because
this world is scary.
But just knowing that isbeautiful.

SPEAKER_00 (26:59):
Okay.
So, all right.
So here's a counterpoint.
So what if you don't feel theHoly Spirit?
You got one for that one?
I have something.
I have something.

SPEAKER_01 (27:08):
Okay.
If you don't feel the HolySpirit, you should continue to
pray.
That's what I think.
You should continue to pray toGod.
And you will feel him.
I struggle with that.
I really, truly do struggle withthat.

(27:30):
And sometimes it just comes inthe form of just pure peace.
But that's my recommendation isto keep praying and to be open
and have your eyes open.
Be focused on the Lord becauseanything could be a sign.

(27:55):
And sometimes I laugh.
I laugh about him.
I'm like, you're taking this waytoo far.
And he's like, no, I'm not.
And I'm like, you're right.

SPEAKER_00 (28:03):
Sometimes I'm wrong.
Sometimes.
But you got to filter it throughChrist.
Yes.
You

SPEAKER_01 (28:07):
got to think, is this taking me closer to God or
pulling me away from God?
That's a good way to discern,but.
And

SPEAKER_00 (28:16):
a good way to put it is you can ask God like, hey,
this kind of felt like a sign.
So you could pray like, Lord, was this just a sign or are you
telling me to go this direction?
And then you can do that.
You can ask the Holy Spirit fora sign.
You can be like, if this isokay, so I'm going to keep.
So the reason, another reasonwhy I got this MacBook and I'm

(28:38):
continuing with these videos, Iasked the Lord like, hey, Lord,
I'm I'm putting a little bit ofinvestment into this.
If this is what you want me todo, I'm going to keep doing this
because I want to glorify youand get the news out to the good
news to people.
And if it's not the right thingto do, put a stumbling block in
my way.

(28:58):
Don't let it happen.
Before you know it, if you'retrying to do something you're
not supposed to be doing, all ofa sudden you get a flat tire.
You can't get to thedestination.
All of a sudden, the Holy Spiritand God puts roadblocks in your
way.
You can ask Him for a sign.
If you're not 100% sure, askabout Him.
Talk to Him.

(29:18):
Pay attention.
It will bring that to you.
Real quick though, what if youdon't feel anything?
You don't feel anything at all.
You're praying.
You just don't feel like there'sjust nothing there.

SPEAKER_01 (29:29):
so

SPEAKER_00 (29:30):
that that's that's where we're going to that if you
don't oh

SPEAKER_01 (29:33):
oh oh i say it i was just i i didn't even i remember
i read these notes before but iactually i forgot about this
section is i was going to saywell it could be because you
haven't repented for any of thesins that you've committed and
or you're still continuing forexample to go to music festivals
that you know are not what youshould be doing because you've

(29:58):
been shown

SPEAKER_00 (29:59):
yeah

SPEAKER_01 (30:00):
by god that is not

SPEAKER_00 (30:02):
yeah personally showed us personally another

SPEAKER_01 (30:05):
story for another day but oh i literally said it
so repentance of your sins

SPEAKER_00 (30:10):
i thought you read it you did that on your own i

SPEAKER_01 (30:12):
read it but i forgot that was there

SPEAKER_00 (30:14):
that's great no that's perfect you're you're on
the you're on the same page thenum so yeah if you're if you're
not feeling the holy spirit umagain you're a new christian and
or even if you've been aChristian for a while, it
doesn't matter.
If you're praying, you're justnot feeling the Holy Spirit.
For one thing, you're not alwaysgoing to feel God.
You're not always going to feellike he's there.
It's not always this warm littlefuzzy feeling all the time.

(30:37):
Let's just be real.
God's busy.
He's doing a lot in the world.
He hears you, and you have the

SPEAKER_01 (30:43):
Holy Spirit within you, but sometimes it's just
not.
You're not always going to feelit.
Yeah, it's just the

SPEAKER_00 (30:48):
way it is.
But let's say you're not feelingit at all.
And all the time, you're justwondering, like, what's going
on?
Like, I felt like the HolySpirit was talking to me, but
now he's not talking to meanymore.
So it could be sin.
So what happens with sin is thatwhen you sin, like you said,
going to music festivals, andit's not just going to music

(31:09):
festivals.
No, it's just

SPEAKER_01 (31:10):
my example of what we've gone through.

SPEAKER_00 (31:13):
Yeah, and it's going to, you know, all the
substances, all the things, allthe sinful nature of things.
So sin brings you further awayfrom God.
And so the more you sin and sinand sin, it's like you're
pulling yourself further andfurther away from God.
And when you start living of theworld, doing worldly things, you
start forgetting about God,putting him last, things like

(31:34):
that.
So you're getting further andfurther and further away from
him.
It's like his voice is gettingsmaller and smaller and smaller.
So sin keeps you away from God.
So that's why you don't hear theHoly Spirit.
So what you can do is you saidrepentance.
So sometimes you got to justtalk to God and pray and just
like, Lord, I have not beendoing what I'm supposed to be
doing.

(31:54):
And I'm sorry.
And please make me new with you.
Holy Spirit, come back into mylife.
I'm sorry.
And really have that, you know, that kind of like, I'm sorry.
Not don't just say it, but feelit.
And when you pray and it kind ofwashes you clean again, and it
like allows the Holy Spirit tocome back into your spirit as

(32:14):
well and dwell in you.
And that flame of the HolySpirit, it grows stronger and
stronger back in you.
So you can have this A littleflame of the Holy Spirit is
trying to tell you, but sinkeeps you away from it.
So repentance helps bring himback.
That's

SPEAKER_01 (32:28):
a good explanation there.

SPEAKER_00 (32:30):
And other things, again, like holding on to idols.
What are some examples of someidols you have?
Is that too personal?
I don't know if you want toshare that.

SPEAKER_01 (32:39):
Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, YouTube, Instagram.
The other ones, all the otherones.
I don't know.
All of

SPEAKER_00 (32:48):
them.
All the subscription-based

SPEAKER_01 (32:49):
stuff.
I'm working on that.
I'm working on that.
For me.
It's a slow process.

SPEAKER_00 (32:53):
For sure.

SPEAKER_01 (32:54):
But I'm trying.

SPEAKER_00 (32:55):
For me, you know, the phone one, that was one
trying to give up for God.
He's done really

SPEAKER_01 (33:00):
good on that, actually.
I'm doing better.
I'm doing better.
I would say that's not an idolof yours at this current time.
Really?
I believe

SPEAKER_00 (33:07):
that.
That's good.
I

SPEAKER_01 (33:08):
truly see the difference.
I definitely see the difference.

SPEAKER_00 (33:10):
Usually when I'm on my phone or on my laptop, it's
like God-focused.

SPEAKER_01 (33:15):
Yes.
It was not before, and I wouldnot categorize that as an idol
for you anymore.
It was, but it's not now.

SPEAKER_00 (33:23):
That's good to hear from an outside perspective.

SPEAKER_01 (33:26):
Yeah, you've been doing

SPEAKER_00 (33:26):
great.
I think it's great to, again, Ithink that's the reason why is
like I'm, And it's exactly whatwe're talking about.
I'm praying to the Holy Spiritcoming to my life.
When I'm doing things that Ishouldn't be doing, we all do
that.
I'll ask for repentance.
So I feel like the Holy Spiritis living within me, and I'm
digging in my Bible.

(33:48):
I'm doing the work for this, thebackground work for this.
So my whole focus, my wholebeing now is– Bringing people to
Christ.
That's my purpose.
This is my purpose.
Are you watching this video?
This is my purpose.
This is what the Holy Spirit hasconvicted me to do.
The thought came into my mindand it churned my heart.

(34:14):
I've never felt anything likeit.
It was the most...
I can't explain it.
Well, it's just...
I've seen the change.
You have to feel it.
You have to feel it.

SPEAKER_01 (34:21):
I've seen the change in you.
Yeah.
I was going to say slowly, butit's been pretty quickly,
actually.
Oh, yeah.
We've just gotten rid of things, like I mentioned before.
Gotten rid of things, and...

SPEAKER_00 (34:34):
Used to be a DJ.
You

SPEAKER_01 (34:35):
have so much more room for God.
I mean, there's always more roomfor God, but you really do put
God first.
Yeah.
In...
almost every single thing.
Pretty much everything.
It's beautiful, and I look up tothat.

SPEAKER_00 (34:53):
The beautiful thing about that is if I put God
first, he's going to put me onthe right path to be a better
leader for her.

SPEAKER_01 (35:00):
That's so true.
Like I said before in anotherpodcast, that's why this is
called the Jesus, Michael, andAshley show.
It's Jesus, Michael, and Ashley.
We're being led by Jesus, andhe's really...
a huge leader to me god is theleader but i you you really do

(35:22):
lead me and that's why i've madea lot of the changes of course
because of god but i believe heworks through you yeah for sure
a lot to help me because that'sjust i really think that's part
of the husband's role too is towork with god to lead your wife
and if you have kids your kidsyeah yeah and you do a great job

(35:45):
thank you

SPEAKER_00 (35:48):
yeah i love you very much my wife everybody lucky man
okay so um yeah so not puttinggod first i have it on the list
too but i think we kind of wentover that

SPEAKER_01 (36:06):
okay

SPEAKER_00 (36:07):
All right, well, man, this has been a nice, big,
huge topic to work on.
That was good.
It was good.
Because, you know, sometimesI've been asked about the Holy
Spirit and sometimes you justweren't prepared.
Sometimes you're like, yeah, you're trying to explain it
like, oh, you just have to know.
But doing more research on it, Iknew the answer, but in the
moment, I just couldn't think ofit.

(36:28):
But after doing this research,I'm like, I already knew all
these answers.
I'm like, oh, yeah, of course.
But now it's hardwired and stuckin me now.
Just to tell how the Holy Spiritworks.
Some people call it yourconscience, but that's kind of
like your Holy

SPEAKER_01 (36:42):
Spirit, too.
Yeah.
The Holy Spirit is always, always inside of you.
Yeah.
It never leaves you.
It's impossible.
But it's if you're listening anddoing the things that you need
to be doing for it to be at itsfull potential.

(37:04):
It's always there.
You can't get rid of it.

SPEAKER_00 (37:11):
Okay, cool.
Let me see.
The Holy Spirit's helped us.
Oh, okay.
So...
Yeah, again, the Holy Spirit hashelped us, and we pray daily for
it to fill our cup.
Yeah.
We'll probably pray for thattonight.
But that's something we nonstoppray for, to keep filling us up.

(37:32):
We've gone over the bits whereif you're not hearing them, he
will come back into your life.
But, yeah, again, it's been agreat topic.

SPEAKER_01 (37:40):
It's been

SPEAKER_00 (37:40):
good.
It's been really good.
So thanks for watching.
Like and subscribe.
And I think my nephewsubscribed.
He's like 10.
So it'd be nice to have anothersubscriber that isn't 10.
I'm just kidding.
No, but y'all have a great nightand God bless you and take care.
