I think what we wanted to do is talk about our
faith, like where it began, andyeah, how did that begin for
you?
SPEAKER_01 (00:37):
For me, I used to go to church every other Sunday,
maybe, when I was a small girl.
I was baptized Catholic when Iwas...
a little baby, um, just off of,you know, just my parents doing
it.
My grandparents wanted it done.

So, um, so we, so they got itdone.
Um, and I would say my faithdidn't begin then.
Cause I really wasn't into itwhen I was a kid.
I thought it was boring.
So, you know, what about you?
UNKNOWN (01:16):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (01:17):
Um, so, uh, believe it or not, I grew up Seventh-day
Adventist, so, uh, don't judgeme.
Um, they believe in a lot of,uh, good morals, Christian
values.
They believe in the divinity ofChrist, pretty much all the main
points, except, um, they had acouple little different things
where, um, they had like otherprophets that they thought were
like LNGY.
(01:37):
I've probably never heard ofher, but she wrote a book.
She was a person, um, back then.
But anyways, um, I grew upChristian and had a lot of good
Christian morals and, uh, you Ihad Christ in my life.
Probably up until moving here toLas Vegas, which is where we
live.
That's when I stopped believing.
Honestly, I went through afive-year breakup.

I'm sure those are pretty hard.
You've gone through yearbreakups.
I kind of wanted to...
I kind of wanted to, I toldmyself like literally, like I'm
gonna just go and experiencelike life and just like do like
whatever, party, have a goodtime, try things that I
shouldn't be trying.

I feel like a lot of us have

been there.
Yeah, I'm sure you've beenthere.
Yeah, I'm sure you've beenthere.
I've been there.
And, you know, and I was justhaving a great time, a really
good time partying.
We're going to music festivals.
But before we even met, though,we were both partying, going to
music festivals.
And that was like our thing.
We were like EDM kids, you know,and like house and techno and

house and bass house and all thedifferent things like that was
really fun.
Anyways, so moving on.
So who influenced your faith?
Like, was it like your parentsor dad?

influenced my faith?

Yeah.

Oh, me.
Oh, well, truly, I guess I did.
He did.

Yeah.
But I'll get more in on that alittle bit later on in here, but
it was him.

Yeah, definitely.
About two years ago, I got backinto my faith, and yeah, that's
a whole, like, different thing,so.
UNKNOWN (03:20):
Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00 (03:20):
The way I got back into my faith was, believe it or
not, was believing in Satanagain.
So, yeah, I know.
It's actually...
It's like I
SPEAKER_01 (03:35):
never heard anyone say

that.
No, it's actually a thing.
It's actually a thing.
People are like, well, I seethere's evil in this world.
And that's kind of what I wasdoing.
I was seeing the evil in thisworld with politicians,
celebrities...
all the different things, andjust how we can't work together,
countries up against countries,rumors of wars, things like
that, and how greedy and selfishpeople are, and just how you can

just see that we're flawed insome way.
Something is pulling the stringsin the background and causing us
to fight and cause division anddissension with us.
Yeah, so I think that's whatmade me start to believe in
Christ again.
SPEAKER_01 (04:20):
All that stuff is happening even more so now than
it ever has been.
The deceiving, the lying, thedivision.
Division is a huge one rightnow.
Yeah, it's huge.
I'll just say God would never dothat.
So it's got to be Satan.
(04:41):
So I can understand howbelieving in him would– not
believing in him, but believingthat he is real would kind of
make you think.
SPEAKER_00 (04:51):
Yeah.
They say God's– he doesn't causedivision or he doesn't cause–
He's the God of clarity and hedoesn't cause him.
He's not the God of
SPEAKER_01 (05:00):
confusion.
That's nice.
I like that.
I feel like I haven't heardthat.
The God of clarity.
Yeah.
That's beautiful.

And then, yeah, you just see like, it's like Satan's
like, he's like the prince ofthis world.
Like he's ruling and pulling allthe strings.
And yeah.
So that's what I saw.
I saw that.
And I'm like, I got to get backwith Christ.
And I started to get back withChrist.

It felt good.
And you know what?
When I read the Bible when I wasyounger, I heard all the
stories.
I'm sure you heard all thestories like Daniel and the
lion's den and things like that.
I heard about that.
Just all these different smallstories.
I was going to say...

and other stories of theprodigal son and things like
that.
So finally, I started readingthe Bible from a truth aspect as
a grown-up, actually reading itmyself as a Bible instead of
hearing what other people tellyou.
Everyone has an opinion aboutthe Bible or religion and things
like that.
(06:11):
I started reading this righthere for myself.
And the more I read it, the moreit made sense and the more truth
it made sense.
It just was speaking truth toeverything that's going on in
life of the evil in the worldand that there's a beauty in
this world too.
And I just, this is like makingmore sense the more I read it.
(06:35):
And no one reads the Bible.
No one actually reads it.
But when you read it foryourself, you start to find,
like, this is making sense in aworld where there's no truth.
You know?
Yeah, exactly.
Well,
SPEAKER_01 (06:46):
you know, Jesus is truth.
SPEAKER_00 (06:49):
Yeah.
He's the way, the truth, and thelife.
Yeah.
And there's no greater storythan love, than Jesus dying on
the cross for our sins.
And it's something justbeautiful.
And to that, that speaks truthto me.

So going back to that question,you said, or the question is,
how did you get back into yourfaith?
SPEAKER_01 (07:18):
So I never I feel like I wasn't really ever into
my faith, really.
But this is kind of where Iwanted to get into pretty much
how I got into my faith ingeneral.
And I said that was you.
And that's because last year,almost a year ago now, we were
on our way to Burning Man, whichis a huge, huge,

huge festival, huge

festival type event.
Out in the middle of
SPEAKER_00 (07:48):
nowhere.
SPEAKER_01 (07:51):
A lot of partying, a lot of things of that nature.
But on our way there, he broughtup God.
And we talked for...
I feel like we talked a fewhours on the way there.
SPEAKER_00 (08:07):
Yeah, she was hitting me with some hard
SPEAKER_01 (08:09):
questions.
And I was, because I didn't...
I kind of had...
I felt like I...
I wasn't sure if God was real ornot.
I didn't really believe in anyof that stuff.
It took me asking some crazyquestions, and I'm sure a lot of

people have, and kind of testingit out, asking those hard
questions.
We went through Burning Man, andon the way back, I think we
talked about it more, I think.
I remember us pulling into thedriveway, finishing our
conversation about God, and Iremember us specifically, we
(08:55):
talked about marriage, and wegot engaged there, too.
SPEAKER_00 (08:58):
Yeah, yeah, we did.
We talked about that.
We got engaged at Burning Man,y'all.
SPEAKER_01 (09:03):
We talked about marriage and what that truly
meant.
It's not just just gettingmarried for the paperwork or for
the love or for whatever theworldly reasons are to get
married these days.
It's, it's a covenant betweenthe three of us, you know, just

like this podcast, Jesus,Michael and Ashley.
So I kind of started thinkingabout it probably on the way
there.
And that's how I kind of gotinto my faith.
UNKNOWN (09:41):

We've just been running with it, honestly.
She's given me a lot of support.
It's like Jesus is leading mebecause I'm further along in my
faith than you are, I would say.
You're following me, so I'mfollowing Jesus.
You're following me.
We're all holding each other'shands.

say Jesus is leading the way.

jesus's hand and i'm holdingmike's hand and we're all just
going along you know andhonestly i think you know that's
kind of how I don't want to saythat's how it should be, but I
feel like that's kind of how itshould be, especially if you're
married.

Yeah.
The man's the leader.
And so we kind of have thatdynamic in our marriage.
Yeah.

Absolutely.
So, yeah, we've been justrunning with it, reading this
more and more.
And we had a couple ofexperiences we want to share
with you guys, but I hope to bein another video.

So right now, how is your walk with Christ right

now?
It's going great, y'all.
Honestly, I have so much morepeace in my heart.
I know you could say that youhave peace in your heart too.
I'm not worried about tomorrowbecause the Bible teaches that
the day has enough worry as itis.
And why worry about tomorrow orthe next day or the following

day or just because like, yourlord god like he's going to take
care of you and make sure youhave what you need throughout
the day and provide for you andthings like that and so when you
have peace um and also you justknow that uh jesus is christ and
lord you know that he'sreturning you know he's going to
return and you know no matterwhat happens going forward like

i just know in my heart andthat's what faith is is knowing
believing in something that isthat is real but you can't
tangibly prove But it gives mepeace knowing that he's coming
back, and I really do believehe's coming back soon.
Yeah,
SPEAKER_01 (12:09):
I would say...
for me, that's also how itstarted after talking with him
about God, you know, a year orso ago.
I realized pretty quickly thatbelieving in him gave me so much
peace.
I was a worrier, a lot, youknow, anxiety for a lot of just
(12:31):
random things.
And that was my first testimonyis, you know, now that I, have
God in my life, I'm lessworried, less anxious.
I barely, I still worry.
Right.
Um, I think, you know, that'sjust something I'll continue to
work on with God, but, um, Ijust worry so much less because
(12:54):
I know that God would never putme and my family through
something that we couldn'thandle,
SPEAKER_00 (12:59):
um,
SPEAKER_01 (13:00):
with him.
Um, so, um, that's, that's kindof where I'm at too.
Just kind of, just kind oftagging along after him and I
make little changes as well.
And as I go all the time, allthe time right now, because
there's a lot of changes to bemade.
SPEAKER_00 (13:15):
Absolutely.
So our walk with Christ is goinggreat.
We definitely want to share somemore testimonies with you.
We have some really crazystories to share with you.
But again, it's for anothervideo.
But we're here to honestly justlike spread the good news.
You know, if what we believe, meand you believe is true, and we

believe it's like 1000% true,because we felt God in our lives
and the different things thathave happened recently in the
past two years that we want toshare with you.
We know he's real, we know he'scoming back.
with certainty and if we believewhat we believe why wouldn't we
share it with you our friendsand family and you know that's

because when you spread truththat's love and if you know I
want everyone to know Christsomeday because he's the way the
truth and the life and you knowat the end I believe honestly
everyone's going to face Jesusas a judge this whole life that
we're living I think it's a testI really believe It's all a
(14:23):
test.
And when this life is over, itmoves on to something else.
And you're going to have areview of your life.
But anyways, I believe that ifhe's also can be your judge, but
also your, your redeemer.
So he can also be the way it'slike, kind of like, it's like he
(14:43):
washes away all the sin or allthe wrong that you've done.
It makes you purified andspotless like he was.
So anyways, we believe what webelieve and we want to share the
good news with the world aroundthere.
And so this is just the first oflike many episodes.
So yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (15:01):
Yeah.
It's, it's kind of, you know,when you're a child of, of God,
it's kind of part of your dutyto spread the word about him.
And we hope we can just hit evenjust one person in a video, you
know, anything, anything at allthat sparks anything in anyone.

I would say...
for me, that's also how itstarted after talking with him
about God, you know, a year orso ago.
I realized pretty quickly thatbelieving in him gave me so much
peace.
I was a worrier, a lot, youknow, anxiety for a lot of just

random things.
And that was my first testimonyis, you know, now that I, have
God in my life, I'm lessworried, less anxious.
I barely, I still worry.
Right.
Um, I think, you know, that'sjust something I'll continue to
work on with God, but, um, Ijust worry so much less because
(12:54):
I know that God would never putme and my family through
something that we couldn'thandle,
SPEAKER_00 (12:59):
um,
SPEAKER_01 (13:00):
with him.
Um, so, um, that's, that's kindof where I'm at too.
Just kind of, just kind oftagging along after him and I
make little changes as well.
And as I go all the time, allthe time right now, because
there's a lot of changes to bemade.
SPEAKER_00 (13:15):
Absolutely.
So our walk with Christ is goinggreat.
We definitely want to share somemore testimonies with you.
We have some really crazystories to share with you.
But again, it's for anothervideo.
But we're here to honestly justlike spread the good news.
You know, if what we believe, meand you believe is true, and we

believe it's like 1000% true,because we felt God in our lives
and the different things thathave happened recently in the
past two years that we want toshare with you.
We know he's real, we know he'scoming back.
with certainty and if we believewhat we believe why wouldn't we
share it with you our friendsand family and you know that's
(14:01):
because when you spread truththat's love and if you know I
want everyone to know Christsomeday because he's the way the
truth and the life and you knowat the end I believe honestly
everyone's going to face Jesusas a judge this whole life that
we're living I think it's a testI really believe It's all a
(14:23):
test.
And when this life is over, itmoves on to something else.
And you're going to have areview of your life.
But anyways, I believe that ifhe's also can be your judge, but
also your, your redeemer.
So he can also be the way it'slike, kind of like, it's like he
(14:43):
washes away all the sin or allthe wrong that you've done.
It makes you purified andspotless like he was.
So anyways, we believe what webelieve and we want to share the
good news with the world aroundthere.
And so this is just the first oflike many episodes.
So yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (15:01):
Yeah.
It's, it's kind of, you know,when you're a child of, of God,
it's kind of part of your dutyto spread the word about him.
And we hope we can just hit evenjust one person in a video, you
know, anything, anything at allthat sparks anything in anyone.
