Podcasts From Environmental Scientist Joey Bee
As an Environmental Scientist and host of Joey Bee Outdoor, Science, and Nature I have had the opportunity to learn and share with our audience a vast amount of facts about the outdoors. On this ‘best of part 1’ podcast I will recount many adventures from my research on wolves to having a flying squirrel land on my head while I was high up in a tree.

There is an entire process that happens once a goose is sitting on a nest. The rules legally change when the goslings hatch. I observed this part of parenting near one of my ponds. Any time I approached, the drake put on a defensive posture.
If you ever encounter a moose in the wild (from a distance) you will understand why this creature is an awesome animal. I have seen many in the Beartooth Mountains in Montana as well as Yellowstone National Park. The moose is ‘larger than life’ and very much more than a cartoon character with a flying squirrel.
There is a tiny stream that connects the two ponds on my farm. It is not large enough to support a trout population. So my adventure to find a small stream with native trout began. Google Maps and Earth helped with the search. But instead of tracking animals I began to track off the beaten path streams. This show is all about the pursuit and the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
