SPEAKER_00 (00:01):
Hey everybody,
welcome back to another edition
of the Rant Network.
I'm David Solomon, and as youcan see, flying solo today.
Stuart, unfortunately, is out,and hopefully he'll be back on
Monday.
Now, you know, when I'm flyingsolo, I kind of try to get away
from a little bit of that USnewsy focus that we always kind
of fall into.
(00:22):
And today I'm going to continueto do so.
Because this past week, onceagain, ugliness reared its ugly
head.
And you know, if you are intothe arts world and you love
performances and you loveentertainment and whatever, you
got to ask yourself how far offthe rails they've all gone,
literally, to want to side withterrorists in terms of the kind
(00:46):
of support that they, you know, just the who they who they
support.
Because it's just gone sononsensical.
Things that they do and how theyact, it's just off the rails.
So if this is your first time, welcome to the rant network.
David Solomon, Stuart Briscale, like I said, normally here.
What we do every Monday,Wednesday, Friday at noon
Eastern here in the UnitedStates and Canada, is we love to
(01:08):
rant about topics that really, let's face it, people don't like
to talk about in public circles.
It's about society, culture, politics, the nonsense, the
insanity, and so much more.
So sit back today as I solo diveinto the whole thing with
respect to, you name it, yes, again, I'm talking about the
(01:30):
state of Israel.
Now, if you've listened to us orwatched us over the last two
years plus, now going on about800 days, we've been talking
about the insanity, how theworld has reacted since October
the 7th.
That the true nature of whatpeople are all about has come
through.
(01:50):
Amnesty International is anexample, finally admitted two
years, two months later, yeah, there was an atrocity.
Yeah, Hamas committed anatrocity.
Two years, two months later, ladies and gentlemen, 26 months
later, almost 800 days sinceOctober the 7th, they put out
(02:10):
this report that says, in ahesitant kind of way, yeah,
Hamas did all these bad things.
And of course, at the end, butIsrael is still complicit.
Amazing.
Amazing.
Amnesty International took thislong.
The United Nations evenadmitted, as we've said in
previous rides, it took themlong enough to admit, going,
(02:31):
yeah, well, there's no genocideand there is no famine.
But you know who doesn't believeit?
The entertainment world.
The entertainment world has gotall caught up in knots on this.
And one example is that 200different entertainers, people
that you love to watch from theUK, the United States, signed a
(02:52):
petition to release MarwanBarghuti.
Now, your thing, if you didn'thear the name, then you are
fortunate not to have heard ofone of the most horrific
terrorists, murderers out there.
Sinwar was released in 2014 aspart of a swap prisoners for,
(03:14):
you know, those terroristprisoners in exchange for bodies
and captives, you know, that andthat was the deal.
And the criticism back then andeven before that was giving back
all of these prisoners, theseterrorists, these murders, means
that they're likely to do itagain.
Wouldn't you know Sinwar was theleader, the head who actually
(03:34):
helped to conduct andorchestrate October the 7th?
Israelis are petrified of havinga repeat Sinwar.
And that, ladies and gentlemen,is Marwan Barguti.
Marwan Barguti is a convictedterrorist murderer.
He has committed heinous crimes.
And these 200 entertainers on aglobal scale think he should be
(03:58):
released.
Do they know what this guy hasdone?
Do they care what this guy hasdone?
Of course not.
Simply put, ladies andgentlemen, this is all about,
again, the anti-Semitism thatcontinues to stink, permeate on
(04:19):
a global scale.
And it is amazing how theentertainment world feels that
anybody who is against Israelshould be extolled, should be
put on a pedestal, should beadmired.
Think about it.
Entertainers who many of themhave no real education, no
global exposure, are caught upin the belief that all Jews are
(04:42):
bad, and therefore Palestiniansmust be good.
All Palestinians must be good.
It isn't the black and whitesituation, ladies and gentlemen.
There are too many sitting androtting in jails that have
committed these crimes.
Not that they might commit, notthat they might one day do
something, but Marwan Bargutiactually did do.
(05:04):
He killed and murdered scores ofIsraelis, and on top of it all,
he orchestrated other terroristattacks.
And let's let them go.
Because that's what this isabout.
And if that wasn't enough, thispast week just reminded us, or
(05:25):
the last couple of weeks havereminded us, of the degree of
stupidity of certain countries.
You see, in Europe, they have awonderful little um contest
called the Eurovision SongContest.
Put it this way, it's a reallycool version.
It predates, you know, uh all ofthese other reality TV shows.
(05:46):
It's been around for decades.
Now, Israel is not a Israel isactually geographically located
in the University, but they'rein the Middle East.
They're actually in Asia.
They're not in Europe.
But Asia never welcomed Israelinto the fore.
And you know, Israel continuedto be part of Europe with
contests and with soccer andwith a whole bunch of things
because Asia blocked off Israel.
(06:09):
So wouldn't you know that overdecades Israel has been part of
this Eurovision song contest, which is public broadcasters
select one song of the year, andit goes to a contest on all of
Europe.
It is hugely popular in Europe.
You probably have never heard itin North America.
And yet, here we go.
This is where entertainersshould be at their best.
(06:33):
This is where entertainersshould be going out and talking
about songs of peace and loveand whatever.
And instead, it's been usedagain as a platform for what?
You say?
That's right.
Downplaying Jews and Israel andfinding a way to get rid of
Israel and denying her.
(06:55):
Right after October 7th, IdenGolan sang a song called
Hurricane.
Hurricane was a phenomenal songin dedication to, you know, to
the kind of what happened duringOctober the 7th.
She didn't win.
The popular vote came in and shewon overwhelmingly, but she
couldn't win because the judgeswho have as the weighted vote
(07:19):
voted against her.
If I remember correctly, shefinished second.
But the popular vote was she wasfirst.
Because the popular votes, thefolks who watch it enjoy, aren't
the anti-Semites.
Both those judges are.
And they made sure that thefollowing year is the same thing
as the performer who neverescapes me, dressed in what
(07:41):
looked like a dedication to theBebus children.
I mean, think about it.
She sang a song dedicated to theBebas family and their love for
Batman.
And this was denied.
Humanity was denied becausethese entertainers believe that
they hold a moral high ground.
So it comes as no surprise thatcountries like Spain, Slovenia,
(08:06):
Iceland, Netherlands, and mostrecently Ireland said that they
wanted to make sure that Israelwouldn't participate and
demanded that Israel be thrownout of the this contest.
Lo and behold, they votedagainst that.
Germany and other countriessaid, not a chance.
Israel stays.
(08:27):
So what did these countries do?
They said, we're out.
We're out.
Ireland, Spain, Slovenia,Iceland, the Netherlands, we're
out.
We will not go.
Now you know the funny thing isif you look at who there are
multiple rounds, and Israel'smade it to the final round most
of the last number of decades.
But you know when Irelanddoesn't, Spain, Slovenia,
(08:49):
Iceland, Netherlands do not.
So is this sour grapes andthey're trying to get rid of a
good, an opportunity to get ridof a good country?
Or do they really hate Israelthat much?
I'd say it's both.
But imagine the visceral hatetowards Israel on a song.
And there wasn't even asuggestion Palestine should
participate in the Eurovision.
(09:10):
I'm sorry.
You've denied Asia and theMiddle East and Africa have
denied Israel entry to anything.
But you're willing to open thedoor to Palestine, no matter
what.
The defiance, the doublestandards, it's amazing.
The Eurovision will continue togo on, and Israel will continue
(09:30):
to participate as long as shecan.
But it's just fascinating to seecountries like these countries
who want to boycott.
They just want to boycott.
And they believe, they believethat this makes sense.
Now, the fallacy of all thishappened, you know, this past
week also.
They, you know, they they thesethese these performers want to
(09:53):
stand with people who theybelieve, believe in freedom and
democracy.
Nope.
They believe in women's and gayrights.
No, they don't.
But they're standing there withthat belief that yes, they do,
and we know it.
Did you want proof of howfoolish they are?
This week, the city of Seattle,Washington announced that there
(10:15):
will be a game in the World Cupthis past this summer in June.
It'll be the Pride Game.
And who are the twoparticipants?
Egypt and Iran.
That's right.
Two Muslim countries.
They're freaking out.
They want nothing to do withthis.
They've pleaded to FIFA to getrid of the Pride Game.
(10:35):
Where are you, entertainers, tostand up for this?
Where are you to stand up forall these gay rights,
transgender rights?
Of course, you're ignoring itbecause you're ignoring the
truth.
So the comical aspect of thiswhole thing, it's off the
charts.
It makes unbelievable,unbelievable, no sense.
(10:58):
But you see, this is the partthat is where we're seeing this
now more and more.
That countries are starting tolook at their Jewish heritage
and saying, we don't need you.
You've never been a part of it.
To deny that in Ireland, forexample, that Jews had a very
important part in its legacy,it's so insane.
(11:19):
Because Ireland and Israelshould be best buddies.
Because Israel is not acolonizer.
They, you know, Ireland wascolonized.
Israel was colonized byeverybody but the Jews.
It is the Jewish homeland.
It is historically proven, butthe deniers don't want to give
it.
(11:39):
They don't want to give in.
They want to continue to makeyou believe that this is an that
Arabs and Muslims have beenthere forever.
False.
Think of the people who've beenthere: the Ottoman Empire, the
Crusades.
Shall I go on and on and on?
The Romans, they conquered theland from the Jews.
(11:59):
We have archaeological proof, wehave historical proof.
So to erase that makes no sense.
But Jews have had a legacy inmany countries, and Ireland is
one of them.
And the idea that they there wasan idea of changing the name of
a park in Ireland from theHerzog family, from Heim Herzog,
(12:23):
to that he was that the park inDublin would be named, would be
changed because they wanted toget rid of and erase anything to
do with Jews.
Apparently, that was going toofar.
And Prime Minister MichaelMartin opposed the idea.
He says it's divisive and it'swrong.
Given the legacy in Ireland,it's unbelievable that they
(12:46):
actually said no.
But this, ladies and gentlemen,is how far they want to go.
Let's erase what Jews bring tothe table.
Let's erase their contributionto society.
Let's erase Jews altogether.
What we see in schools, whatwe've seen with performers, what
we see with what we're seeing ingovernment, what we're seeing
(13:08):
even now in New York City, thatMamdani's is just emboldened
people to say, we need to getrid of the Jewish, the Jewish
lobby.
APAC is too powerful.
We don't want to side with APAC.
Too powerful.
Like there's a lobby inWashington that isn't powerful.
It's amazing how they think.
Or Shannon Sharp with hispodcast, where he announces in
(13:30):
his podcast the Jews owneverything.
Wasn't a joke.
This is the way it is.
Where are you getting all thisshit from, people?
What is wrong with you?
The same people who screen BlackLives Matter, women's rights,
gay rights, have used Jews astheir bitch, slapping them
around.
(13:50):
And it's fascinating to thinkthat entertainers, that forever,
when you talked about politicaldiffusion in the Cold War, the
best way, or one of the bestways, was cultural exchange.
The Soviets sent their ballettroupe to North America.
Billy Joel went to the SovietUnion in the 1980s.
(14:14):
The Beatles went to, you know, where traveled.
This was what culture and herteam was supposed to do.
Diffuse, not divide.
But instead, that's what'shappening.
Erase, divide, boycott.
This is what it's been.
So when to hear the Eurovision20, you know, winner, and this
(14:37):
is the funniest part.
The Eurovision winner, um, whowas a I don't know, non-gender,
binary, non-binary, you know, this person decided he won in
Nemo, Nemo won in 2024 and saidcontest ideals are not being
respected after the UN claims, and just continues to perpetuate
and delies in the shit thatThomas pushes.
(15:00):
So Nemo returns the trophy.
Don't want it.
What a load of shit.
What a load of stupidity.
But this, ladies and gentlemen,is who our children are
following.
This is what other people arefollowing with the millions and
millions and millions.
And I'm not talking about theCandace Owens and the Tucker
Carlsons who have gone off therails, who also have millions of
(15:22):
followers.
It's your everyday individualthat suddenly has decided that
they need to tell you that Jewsare bad.
Israel's bad.
We've learned nothing in thelast hundred years, and it's
only going to get worse beforeit gets better.
With one hostage body left inGaza, we could get to phase two
(15:44):
of the ceasefire.
No pressure on Hamas to doanything.
Entertainers aren't sayinganything.
Life doesn't matter to them.
Jewish life does not matter tothem.
But we need to take care ofourselves and we need to push
back.
And so when we see theEurovision wanting to return the
trophy, return your trophy.
Who cares?
Ireland, Netherlands, you wantto boycott the Eurovision?
(16:07):
Please go.
We don't need you.
But you will crawl back.
You will come back.
We're seeing already countriesquietly returning back to Israel
after loud screams ofanti-Israel sentiment.
They're slowly, quietly comingback to Israel, saying, Yeah, we
have to do it for publicpurposes, but we really need
(16:28):
you.
But we can't tolerate thisanti-Semitism any longer, and we
must push back.
Continue your letter writingcampaigns, your email campaigns,
your petitions, posting onsocial media, exposing the
fallacy that is.
Believe in me, the more weexpose them, the quieter they're
(16:48):
going to get.
And maybe we'll get a little bitof peace in our lives.
To that end, thanks a lot, ladies and gentlemen, for this
week's edition of The RantNetwork.
We'll be back on Monday, everyMonday, Wednesday, noon Eastern.
Love what you're doing with us.
Thank you so much.
Share this with your friends, and we look forward to seeing
you on the other side of theweekend.
Cheers.
