Speaker 1 (00:08):
I've been listening to music for a few days and I
love music because I'm saddened.
I'm saddened by a person I havenever met.
I'm saddened by a person thatinspired, galvanized an entire
generation, inspired, galvanizedan entire generation.
It's a person who took a morepeaceful approach, almost Martin

(00:30):
Luther King-esque, to try toget people to think differently,
to look at a different opinion,to view the world a little bit
differently, and today he's deadbecause of that.
It sucks.
What the hell is wrong with us?
I don't agree with you.
I will kill you.
It seems recently that this isbecoming okay, that people in

(00:57):
different groups are celebratingthe death of a young guy
because he was a conservative.
Welcome back to the Rent Network.
Everybody, I'm David Solomon,he is Stuart Brzegel.
We do every Monday, wednesday, friday, this rant where we talk
about topics that are like I say.
I always say it's unhushed, wealways hear about it in hushed

(01:19):
tones.
People don't like to talk aboutit in public and maybe after
today, it's time to stop that.
These rants are unedited,uncensored, unfiltered,
non-apologetic.
Enough with the intro, becausewe have a lot to get into.
Stuart, I'm going to tell you.
Charlie Kirk was 31 years old.
He's behind a young wife, youngchildren who, for the rest of

(01:45):
their lives, will know thattheir husband and father died
because he was peaceful, becausehe tried to get people to look
at things at a different angle.
He tried to debate scores, thousands, whatever of
university students and otherpeople, and all he kept asking

(02:06):
for was what's your point, what's your fact, where's this
coming from?
And his punishment for takingthis approach was that he's no
longer with us.
I think this world is a lotworse off today because of that,
stuart.
This world is a lot worse offtoday because of that.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Stuart, you know this is an interesting twist I'm
going to put.
Abraham was a man who invitedpeople into a tent to try and

(02:51):
deal with children and educate.
Charlie was a modern-dayAbraham.
You know a lot of you may beshaking your head, and I'm not
the only one who would say this.
If you look at the founders ofthe Lubavitch or Hasidic

(03:19):
movement, they were based off ofteaching children right from
wrong, giving them an audience, allowing them to speak freely.
You know, it is amazing whenyou try and think back.
Who was Charlie Kirk?
David is telling me my, Let meswitch microphones.
David, Does that help?
Okay, you know, I didn't knowCharlie Kirk, I could say, for

(03:41):
at least from a pandemic onward, would catch a TikTok, an
Instagram post, a Facebook post, and thoroughly enjoyed his
methods on talking to people.
What I mean talking to people, you know.
You might think of MaxineWaters, who urges everyone to

(04:04):
fight, fight, fight, punch them, push them, hurt them.
You might be thinking ofHillary Clinton.
You know about the deplorables.
Or how about Nancy Pelosi beingenemies of the state and being
white supremacists and beingwhite supremacists?
Or how about the formerpresident, Joe Biden, referring

(04:33):
to anyone in the MAGA movementbeing a fascist or, my favorite,
Debbie Wasserman Schultz, stepping on the neck of those
Republicans.
The wish of hatred, the wish ofvillainization and polarization
isn't exclusively a democraticproblem throughout history.

(04:54):
Its reality is that it's themodern democratic platform.
Whether you're Ilhan Omar orOAC or Bernie Sanders AOC sorry
for my, this is me it is amazinghow these radical people who

(05:18):
fail to understand that theUnited States is based off of
Judeo-Christian principles andyou spend every single day
trying to remove them from itsexistence in the United States
you know I am not.
I don't enjoy when they startsaying Jesus and my founder and

(05:41):
my savior.
Yes, it's obnoxious in myopinion, but someone's faith is
not obnoxious.
It's their right.
When someone's religion doesn'twish to someone else, death,
destruction and annihilationlike an Ilhan Omar, like an AOC,

(06:02):
like a Bernie Sanders.
It is frustrating how the mediaforgets to mention a terrorist
attack in 2012.
We think of Benghazi, but weforget about the opening fire in
Washington DC on the ChristianThink Tank Family Research

(06:22):
Council.
We forget the congressionalbaseball game when 2017, when a
66-year-old opened fire on theRepublican practice.
We forget the attack in 2017when a 59-year-old went after
Rand Paul.
Or how about MinnesotaRepublicans sucker punched

(06:46):
before an election?
Or how about the assassinationrequest for the would-be
Kavanaugh?
Or how about Butler?
I can go on and on and on.
What's notable is thatRepublicans and
Republican-leaning people,whether independents or not,

(07:11):
seem to go for more peacefuldemonstrations.
But you would argue January 6th,Stuart, you forget January 6th,
the insurrection.
Well, let me tell you something.
Those people were not correct.
You are right.

(07:32):
One incident in 25 yearsdoesn't outweigh every single
other year, multiple times ayear, the death, destruction and
hate.
That a Maxine Waters, that anElon Omar, that an AOC and many
others from the squad, ChuckieSchumer, a Nancy Pelosi.

(07:55):
People forget the Floyd riots.
People forget the LA riots.
People forget the LA riots.
Today, the world is mourning theloss of a modern-day Abraham.
The Jews are mourning CharlieKirk.
All Christian faith is mourningCharlie Kirk.

(08:21):
Anyone that had half a sense ofany moral and value, whether
they agreed or disagreed withCharlie Kirk, is mourning the
death of Charlie Kirk.
I don't see rioting in thestreets, Right.
I don't see people shootingpeople because of it, burning
businesses, robbing people, beating people, yelling on the

(08:45):
streets.
There should be death anddestruction.
You killed Charlie Kirk.
You killed a modern day Abraham.
To the Christian faith faith.

(09:05):
I have to tell you I amsaddened with his loss.
I think it brings a massivevoid, but I want to tell you
what it also brings.
It brings tens of thousands ofwarriors on college campuses.
That will ultimately be thenext Charlie Kirks.
They have martyred this man.
I believe the Catholic Churchwill canonize this man.

(09:28):
He never wished anyone any harm.
He was witty, he was snappy, hewasn't shy about his faith, but
he let those who had otheropinions speak.
David and I joke back and forth.
Right, I call him out, I insulthim just to try and get his
blood boiling, and he comes backat me every once in a while and

(09:51):
makes comments, Rightfully so,Thankfully so.
The Rant Network started fiveplus years ago to be a platform
for not just me, not just David, but for you.
Was it fathered because ofCharlie Kirk?

(10:13):
No, In hindsight, I think.
I watching dozens of clips backto back to back.
What strategies he engaged toget people to engage is
something that I am taking fromall of this.
How do I let David Solomon andothers speak and hear their

(10:44):
point of view and be tolerantand accepting?
David, like others?
Don't wish you or myself anyharm.
I don't say you should fight inthe streets with guns and
knives.
You should be present andaccounted for.
David, I believe, wishes thesame.
Your voice should be heard.
Speak up.
Being silent isn't going tohelp you.
That's what caused the mostrecent world war Silence.

(11:10):
What is going on in Israel?
What is going on in the Ukraine?
What's going on in Africa,China, in many parts of the
world?
They're not equally as bad, butthey're all horrible.
Speak up, David.
Sorry.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
No, it's fine.
Let me share with you a fewthings that I'm still trying to
get over.
I share with you a few thingsthat I'm still trying to get
over.
You know, when I hear wordslike divisive, instigator,
agitator, right-wingconservative, these words have

(11:52):
now become part of the lexiconto put people in a position that
they are bad.
These words are everywhere.
Reuters conservative activist, charlie Kirk, conservative why,

(12:14):
why is that a bad word?
Why is what he did bad?
Now, let me be very blunt.
Stuart, you don't listen.
Maybe you listen to CharlieKirk, but I've heard some things
he said and I didn't agree withhim.
Sorry, all right, I agree.
Devout Catholic oh yeah, didn'tcare for abortion, did not care
for a lot of things.
I don't agree with him, butthat's fine, that's fine.
I have friends on the left.

(12:36):
I don't agree with a lot ofthings that they do, and I say
on the left, liberal leaning.
I've had dozens and dozens ofconversations every single week
with Americans and Canadians.
They know where I stand, canget along.

(13:04):
Here's the problem.
From the moment kirk'sassassination attempt the bullet
was fired already wishes forhis death were coming through
went afterwards words frompolitical commentators,
including one who was on msnbcwho I won't mention by name, who
deserves to be erased andcanceled fortunately was fired
by MSNBC for his words, but noone at MSNBC challenged him on

(13:28):
air.
It had to be the bosses to say.
That crosses the line.
You do not say that he causedhis own death.
Basically, that's what thisMSNBC or former MSNBC
commentator alleged ElizabethWarren yesterday.
What did she do?

(13:48):
It's Donald Trump's fault.
Usa Today See another politicalassassination Violence under
Donald Trump.
Did we not learn anything, ladies and gentlemen?
Kirk's assassination isn't allwhat we've dealt with in 2025.
Minnesota Democratic StateRepresentative Melissa Hortman
and her husband fatally shot.

(14:08):
An arsonist set fire to thePennsylvania governor's
residence, with DemocraticGovernor Josh Shapiro and his
family inside.
An immigration and customsenforcement officer was shot and
injured outside a detentionfacility in Texas.
The New Mexico Republican Partyheadquarters was set on fire
and a shooter attacked theCenters for Center Disease
Control and Preventionheadquarters.
Two young people wereassassinated in front of these

(14:32):
at an Israeli embassy event.
They weren't even Jewish.
Do I have to go on?
These are politicalassassinations, political
attempts at destruction, letalone the fact that last a
couple of weeks ago, two youngchildren were killed in a church
in Minneapolis because of theirfaith.

(14:53):
No extreme is right.
They're all off their rails.
The extremists need to stop.
The problem is that ingovernment today your country,
my country, other countries wehave these extremists sitting in

(15:13):
government in a position ofpower.
When aoc vilifies trump becauseof kirk's assassination, I go
nuts when I hear well, you know, you put the flag at half staff
for for charlie kirk, but notfor for for melissa hortman.
Like what are you trying to dohere?
So trump screwed that up, okay, but he's the bad man.
He's the bad man, he's hitler,he's a fascist.

(15:35):
Watch char Charlie Kirk'svideos.
How many times people accusedhim of being a fascist and they
couldn't substantiate it.
It's all about hate speech.
Mean calling Free speech Hatespeech.
Enough.
This vitriol is off the charts.
President Trump has allegedbecause we can't say he is

(16:02):
assassination attempt.
This guy's in court.
He had two last year and we'renot ashamed.
When Ronald Reagan was nearlytaken down by John Hinckley back
in the early 80s, the entirepopulation said whoa, whoa, whoa
, whoa.
What's with this?
No more political.
Why do we need to believe?

(16:23):
No political assassinations onour land and in the last year
nobody cares.
Today I should have.
We should have been talkingabout, or you know about 9-11.
24 years after 9-11.
But this generation on collegecampuses who are spewing hate
like you can't imagine on socialmedia, didn't live through 9-11

(16:46):
.
I did, you did.
I remember and saw the planehit the Twin Towers, the
celebration in Gaza and in WestBank and in other parts of the
Middle East of the death of over3,000 Americans, canadians and
other foreigners 90 countries.
It's insane to believe thattoday, almost a quarter century

(17:10):
later, we're celebrating,lauding bin Laden.
We're celebrating and laudingHamas and Hezbollah.
We're talking about a globalintifada.
Are we fucked up to that extent?
Have we lost our minds?
Charlie Kirk tried to get peopleto realize that this thinking,

(17:33):
this common think, this speechthat they've been using, is
straight out of 1984.
If you've never read GeorgeOrwell's book, well, you might
want to, because that's exactlywhat he predicted that if you go
out of line you're punished.
You must act the same, speakthe same.
You can't have your own ideas.
You must follow these falsegods to the edge of the earth,

(17:59):
and if you fall over, too bad.
But these false gods areleading you down a path of
destruction, and that's not somechurch message, that's not some
religious message.
Charlie Kirk's only weapon andI'm using that word in
quotations was his mouth.
He was smart, he was well-read,he was knowledgeable.
Stuart talked-read, he wasknowledgeable.

(18:20):
Stuart talked to and I'm goingon and I apologize, we're
overboard, but this merits it,stuart.
One thing I was reallyimpressed with, charlie Kirk and
something that Stuart and Ihave tried for the last over
five years.
You say something.
If I have to rebut, I want tomake sure I got the facts and I
worked very hard over these lastfive years and Stuart has too

(18:42):
that when it comes up to sayingsomething, we can back it up and
if we don't have theinformation, we say this is our
opinion and if we are wrong, weadmit we're wrong.
When people on the left realizethat this is what normal people
do, that debate is healthybecause it leads to other

(19:04):
opportunities and creativity anda better society.
If you want to go back toautocratic rule, you want to go
back to mind fucking.
Please go somewhere else, takeyour ideology somewhere else.
That's not Western values,folks.
Enough with this already.

(19:26):
I don't like to hear MarjorieTaylor Greene insult people and
I certainly don't like to hearIlhan Omar or AOC or Rashida
Tlaib insult me.
I don't like to hear Ilhan Omaror AOC or Rashida Tlaib insult
me.
I don't want to hear that.
It doesn't bode well.
On Wednesday, speaker Johnsonasked everybody to stand up for

(19:47):
a moment of prayer and thereaction in the house was so
disgusting.
What's your fucking problem?
A minute of prayer?
Why does that bother you tosuch an extent?
That's what happened onWednesday, stuart.
That's what happened after theMinneapolis shooting.
Where's the decency?
Where's the respect?

Speaker 2 (20:08):
There is none, david and David, we did go well over
and I think this show does meritit, and I know we're going to
chop up little pieces and put itout there.
At the end of the day, everyonefor now is going to remember a
little bit about Charlie Kirk.
Everyone for now may be alittle bit more sensitive.

(20:29):
But you know, what I think wetake away from this is you have
to be engaging, you have tolisten, you have to be tolerant,
you have to be accepting.
I don't really care about lotsof the things that people have
to say, but I respect it.
It's their opinion.
They're allowed, dav.

(20:51):
David, I appreciate you for thelast five years.
I hope to do another five years.
How's that for scary?
But what you need to understandis Charlie Kirk was a very
influential politician whobelieved in his faith and was

(21:15):
murdered because of it, and Ihope, sooner rather than later,
we capture, try and, to thefullest extent of the law, deal
with these people and if there'smore than one person involved,
then we deal with all thepersons involved.
The only way this is going tostop is with an all-stop from

(21:41):
everyone and if you notice, there's certain politicians,
like David mentioned justprevious to me.
Jumping back in, there arethose that need to be removed
from office.
Last broadcast I talked aboutjudges.
That goes for elected officials.
If elected officials don'tcover this, then maybe you

(22:09):
shouldn't cover them, david youknow what.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
I'll leave you with this thought.
Charlie Kirk was 31.
His widowed wife, erica 31.
Two kids, her three son oneyears old.
The people who helped createthis heinous crime should keep

(22:34):
in mind what they have done andhow they've ruined the lives of
this young family.
That was the decision.
Not using words, not trying todebate Charlie, but to shut him
down was to kill him, and I'vetalked about this.
Stuart has talked about this.
This is what the hard leftmovement is trying to do.

(22:57):
Shut us down.
I keep talking in intros abouthushed tones, that we talk about
this in hushed tones and overthe last 48 hours I've been
impressed to see athletes, entertainers, politicians, other
people come out of the darkfinally and do something.
A local hockey player donatedmoney to the family.

(23:21):
Others are starting to voicetheir opinions, demanding
moments of silence.
The Yankees game had it theother night.
It's about time to shut downthese extremists.
It's about time we silence thepeople who tried to silence us.
I'm not saying shoot them, I'mnot saying cancel them.

(23:43):
It's time to debate them in anopen forum.
It's time to voice that theiropinion is their opinion, not
fact, and not the way I want tolive my life.
If we stop doing that, we stopbeing Americans, and I'm saying
that today as a Canadian.

(24:03):
I want to be a Canadian.
I want to go back to that.
I don't want to go where we'regoing.
Stuart, last word for you, myfriend.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
No outro, david, just let it rip.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
Ladies and gentlemen, our heart goes out to Erica and
their children.
We wish them only peace and tothose who followed Charlie.
Keep watching his videos.
Keep watching, as Stuart said,be inspired on college campuses

(24:36):
and anywhere you are.
Carry that message with you.
The world can be a better placeif we brought decency and
respect back into the world.
Yep, take care.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
Take care.
