Speaker 1 (00:02):
So if you're a family at home, do you disagree?
You've never seen parentsdisagree.
I love it when parents disagree.
Sometimes they try to beviciously.
You know, and that seems to bethe situation right now with
Elon Musk and Donald Trump Adisagreement that has gone
public, but it's quite thedisagreement where we have Elon

(00:24):
Musk really opposing theso-called big, beautiful bill
and look, I have not read thebill.
I'll be straight up, I don'treally know all the details.
There's a lot of allegations, alot of statements being made on
whether it's good or bad, orit's going to raise the debt and
whatever, but Elon and Donaldare having a public spat and

(00:48):
guess who's loving it.
Welcome back everybody.
I'm David Solomon here withStuart Prisgall.
This is the Rant Network where,as we do every Monday,
wednesday, wednesday, fridaylet's try that with my mouth
open we bring you unedited, uncensored, unfiltered and
certainly unapologetic rantsabout all kinds of topics, from
politics to internationalaffairs, to just everyday modern

(01:10):
life, the quirks of modern life, all the crap that we're going.
What the that's all we do hereis we go after these rants.
We're not a media house, we'rejust sharing our opinions and we
love the feedback that you guysgive us.
So sit back today as we gothrough one of those fun, fun
stories called elon and donald.
You know, stuart, the one thingI'm amazed if this is when joe

(01:35):
biden was in the white house.
They all tried to give you thethe image that they're one big,
unified party, that no, nomatter what the Democrats put
out, biden or Pelosi or whatever, we're one big, happy family.
And just, they thought theywere like the Cosbys, but the
reality they were more like BillCosby screwing people here,

(01:58):
screwing people there, druggingpeople here, making people
miserable.
But at the end of the day, what's interesting, stuart, is
nobody not one person, calledout the Democrats because we
have to show a unified face Someother Republicans don't
subscribe to that and show thepublic.
We don't have to.
We don't agree on everything,as we've seen, and here Stuart

(02:20):
is a great example of let's takeour spat public.
Stuart, what say you about Elonand Dawn?

Speaker 2 (02:28):
You know, I wish I had more time yesterday to have
watched this unfold step by stepother than or frame by frame.
Versus massive press release tomassive press release press
release to massive press release.

(02:48):
I'm going to give you somethingthat many of us may remember
that are at least a little olderthe schoolyard, early in the
morning, 7.30,.
Class started at 8.
A ring erupts in the baseballfield around two gladiators and

(03:13):
the entire school encases all ofthese people as a ring of glare
Of Blair.
There is a elementary schoolbrawl occurring in the center of

(03:34):
the baseball field.
Now let me give you another RodSterling moment.
School ends at three and thewords uttered meet you in the
football field at 3.30.
Again, two gladiators meet inthe center and a circle ensues.

(03:55):
Now, both in the morning andboth in the evening the same
animal behavior seems to happen.
It's kind of like the sharksare circling looking for their
kill.

(04:16):
I'm willing to bet there wasmore bubbly broken open at CNN
when Elon Musk said this bill isnot for me.
You know, is there somethingwrong with this?
No, in the world of theDemocratic Party, you would be

(04:42):
no different than someone beenthrown out of your party because
you didn't agree.
In the republican party, as youjust so boldly put, they will
kick and scream and put theirhands underneath their legs in
an argument.
You know whether it's.

(05:02):
There's now a brand new page onReuters about Musk Inc Trying
to show the device, calling itScoop Snoop.
Oh, by the way, he's gotsomething that Donald Trump
doesn't got he's got a Pulitzer.
He's got this, he's got that.
You know, donald J Trump is thepresident of the United States.

(05:26):
He doesn't expect everyone toagree with him, and when you get
the billionaire boys club, they're going to go at it.
Whether it's Mitt Romney, whether it's Mark Cuban, whether
it's Elon Musk, none of themare the president of the United
States, only Donald Trump is.

(05:47):
Is this a great, big, beautifulbill?
Well, it's great marketing froma showman, from a president
trying to mend a side of a partythat has multiple sides, as we
clearly see, a side of a partythat has multiple sides, as we

(06:07):
clearly see Whether it's peoplethat want more cuts, people that
want less cuts.
There's still more going on inthis bill than there was in any
previous bill in modern history, but Elon Musk wants more.
Now, what I find amazing in thisargument is the left wanted to

(06:29):
stop Elon Musk and his cuts.
Yes, it was going too far forthe Democrats, and Donald Trump
put a halt to a lot of thesecuts and the Democrats became
silent.
But now the Democrats arelooking at this and going fight,
fight, fight, fight, fight.
They should have been elated tothe fact, to the fact.

(07:04):
Now we don't know if this is areal spat or two billionaires
just having a whole lot of funtrying to prove how
discombobulated the democraticparty is.
Because let me now show youwhat they've proven whether it's
a real spat or a bad spat or ano spat, the Democrats wanted to
stop Elon Musk at all costsfrom burning dealerships,

(07:24):
blowing up cars, molotovcocktails and taking the poster
child of the green world andtossing him into a bonfire.
And tossing him into a bonfire.
Two, donald Trump.
Who stopped the guy who stoppedall of that blood hemorrhage?
Because Donald Trump basicallysaid Elon, we're going to take a

(07:47):
pause on all this, we're goingto take a break, we're going to
back off all of this.
The Democrats should have beenyay, donald Trump, but yet they
refused.
They can't go there.
They won't go there.
They're celebrating two kids ina brawl more than seeing they

(08:11):
got what they wanted.
It's kind of like the teachersand the students and the
students going on strike andstanding on their desks and the
teacher saying you know what, you'll get an extra 15 minutes
and still not getting off theirdesks like little children.
The Democrats, in all of thisdrama which, by the way, is

(08:31):
political drama that has existedsince the beginning of time.
Whether you are in the RomanEmpire politics or whether
you're in the United States ofAmerica, whether you're watching
little boy Trudeau get paradedas a little boy Trudeau, or Mark
Carney a three passport noteNoah's finances guy in Canada,

(08:56):
politics is theater and today Ibelieve the loser isn't Elon
Musk, the loser is not DonaldTrump, the loser is the
Democratic Party.
Has another notch on showinghow stupid they really are.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
You know what, stuart , I'm listening to you and a
little bit of amazement here, because you know I I'm surprised
you want the democrats toactually give a high five to
elon or to donald.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
That doesn't give you votes, no no, no, it wasn't a
high five to elon no, they'renot going to give donald a high
five.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
You know the illegal immigrants is what you want to
fight for, and the so-calledfree speech and anarchy and
whatever, because that gives youvotes.
If you say Donald Trump doessomething good or well, then
that hurts your brand.
Hurts your brand.

(10:01):
Let's be honest here, Stuart.
Bipartisanship is notcelebrated, it's discouraged in
many cases.
They love to talk, Both sideslove to say let's do this as a
bipartisan thing, but thereality is there isn't an
interest in doing bipartisanshipbecause then your voting record
goes against you.
You also have the problem andthis is the issue where you have
politicians who might say, yeah, I have to vote with the party,
but if I do, it might hurt melocally and might hurt my, my

(10:22):
chances at re-election.
And this is the problem thatyou know other politicians face
when you're in a political party.
This is just the reality ofpolitics.
What we're seeing here withelon and donald, I think, is
hysterical.
It's because you know whatpeople don't realize often,
Stuart the lobbying that goes onin Washington is off the charts

(10:43):
.
I've met lobbyists inWashington, Stuart.
I met them.
They've told me stories that Iwas like you're shocked.
You're shocked to hear howabrasive they get, how they're
attacking, but it's all behindclosed doors.
You almost never see this gopublic.
And now this is public.
And, like you said, there aretwo schoolchildren in the

(11:06):
schoolyard and yesterday Elonsays, oh, dismantle SpaceX.
And then, no, I won't.
There's all kinds of thisback-and-forth banter.
Look, the situation is thefollowing the debt ceiling is a
problem.
At $36 trillion, it is aserious issue.
And now if Donald Trump hassaid, no, we should get rid of
the debt ceiling, and Elon says,no, there is an argument to be

(11:26):
had here.
Do I think that they need to go?
You know, go nana, nana, boo, boo.
No, I don't.
I don't think they should beacting like little children in
public.
But you know one thing aboutDonald Trump and this is where
I'm stuck on Elon worked withDonald for a few months in the
White House.
I don't see Elon necessarily.
I mean, everybody says DonaldTrump will turn on his friends.

(11:48):
Donald Trump is taco.
You know, Trump always chickensout.
There's always these thingsthat come out about Donald,
Donald, Donald, Donald.
But yet on the other side, whatpeople aren't recognizing is
donald gets most of the timewhat he wants.
And so now, if what's going onhere with this big bill is.
Is this smoke and mirrors?
It is elon musk trying todivert everybody's attention,

(12:08):
knowing the media will lap it up.
Is this a game or is this real?
I don don't know.
And you would say, oh, theviciousness between the two.
I mean, hello, this is politics.
It's vicious, no matter whatyou want to do.
Your friend is your frienduntil they stab you in the back.
I go back to quoting.

(12:29):
You know the Hunt for RedOctober, Greatest line.
You know what the definition ofpolitician?
Who kisses the baby and at thesame time, steals a lollipop out
of their mouth.
It's vicious politics.
And so this is the kind ofpublic theater that we have.
Look, if you want.
I don't again.
I said it from the beginning.
I don't know the bill wellenough to sit here to say it's

(12:50):
good, it's get rid of the debtceiling.
I am concerned when you can saythat you need to ensure that
your revenues intake is going tooutdo the expenses that the
government is spending.
The government is spending, like I said, like a sick
teenager with a credit card.
There are issues here Now.

(13:12):
Elon knows Donald Trump wellenough on how to push buttons.
Donald knows Elon well enoughhow to push buttons.
You know.
Elon says oh, I got Donald.
Without me, Donald Trumpwouldn't have been elected.
Oh boy, Both of them are sayingthe same thing.
It's just a lot of fun to watchthis, but once again, if you
watch, like you said, the CNNdoing a lap, absolutely.

(13:34):
Cnn, MSNBC, all these losermedia stations that people still
think are reliable news mediaoutlets are running around going
.
Look, you see, Donald can'tmake friends.
Donald Trump is a chicken.
Donald Trump is this.
It's the name game.
One thing that I heard and I saythis again and again rather,

(13:56):
this is the Democratic Party'sversion.
It's bad.
What's the alternative?
It's bad.
Well, what's your plan?
It's bad.
Under Joe Biden, he tried topass this so-called bill.
That was a disaster also rightand the Republicans came up with
all these alternatives to whatto make it better.
They said it was bad, but had aplan.

(14:18):
Dems just want to say it's bad,Everything is bad, and now Elon
is.
I don't know what Elon is doingto help Donald Trump in this
case, but the Democrats haveshown that they don't really
want to help grow America.
They want to help grow theDemocratic Party, and with the

(14:39):
lack of leadership there, itbecomes more and more obvious,
Stuart, More and more obvious.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
I can't agree with you more, but you know what I
can tell you Damn, there's a lotof money to be made off swing
trading, off anything thatDonald Trump said.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
But did you see Tesla's stock price stewart?
Yep, elon musk, since hestarted with donald trump, has
lost value in his personalportfolio.
Tesla stock has gone downsignificantly well, it's it's
high.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
It's high was 429 and fell as low as $213.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Do you want to talk about cutting it in half?
Hang on, hang on, hang on.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
It started to recover up to $330, $338, $345, and it
dropped as low as I think it was$293.
Yeah, so there you go.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
So you see who gets hurt at the end of the day.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
So all this to say that every person that owns a
401k, an IRA, an RISP, becauseyou know what Tesla is a major
contributor.
David, you're 100% right and Igot to tell you.
You know, at the end of the day, politics is not for the

(15:55):
weak-hearted.
And again I am going to go backto my schoolyard circle and the
chant going fight, fight, fight, no different than they did in
the years of the gladiator.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Ah, listen, stewart.
One thing is for sure humannature never changes, and in
this case, when politics isinvolved in power, it doesn't
surprise me.
There we go.
You got the horn out right ontime.
Thank you very much everybody.
Thanks so much for joining ushere on the Rent Network.
We'll be back next week foranother one of those, one of the
kind of fun ones.
Let's see what this weekendbrings between Elon and Donnie.

(16:32):
Have a great weekend, everyone.
Cheers.
