SPEAKER_01 (00:05):
Oh boy.
You know, David always used tocomplain being on the right side
because he used to have the logoin his head.
And uh I decided to take thelogo in his head today.
You know, when we talk aboutmoney, and we do a lot, right?
(00:26):
Talk about finance, we talkabout people spending money, we
talk about causes and peoplethat are financing causes.
But we don't maybe once every, Idon't know, two years sort of
get on the topic of how ourgovernment spends money.
And and why is that soimportant?
(00:47):
Well, if you haven't heard it,the Democrats walked out.
You know, the Democrats havefailed to understand and try and
placate the American people.
Not that the Republicans haven'tdone this in the past because
they've done it as well.
You know, they walk out ofgovernment because they're
(01:07):
little children and can't seemto get things right.
It used to be the Republicanswanted to spend, spend, spend on
defense, and the Democratswanted to spend, spend, spend
on, you know, measures that werenot very quote American, very
socialist.
Anyways, everybody, my name'sStuart Brisgale.
(01:28):
That's our co-host, DavidSolomon.
Well, or I'm the co-host.
Don't really know anymore.
This is your go-to podcast orunfiltered, unapologetic
discussions, hosted and alwayshere Monday, Wednesday, Friday,
new Eastern.
We tackle a diverse range oftopics with candid
conversations, bold opinions, whether we're breaking down the
ladies' headlines or delvinginto the complexities of modern
(01:52):
life.
We have a perspective to giveyou and discuss with you.
So grab a seat, settle in andjoin in for another
thought-provoking conversation.
You know, David, the Democratsvoted down the Republic funding
bill because they demandedinclusion of Obamacare health
provisions like Affordable CareAct, right?
(02:15):
Because the bill uh failed toget uh 60 votes, which is
required.
So the Republicans couldn't passit even if they all said yes.
The Democrats argue that the GOPproposal was unacceptable
without the health care fixes.
So they preferred to reject itversus try and get to a
(02:35):
resolution.
Now, I I know that sounds kindof crazy, right?
Because the main port of thehealth care act that they're
trying to strip out is those fornon-resident, non-legal aliens,
which is a big point for theAmerican people.
I believe the last Pew reporthas that what 69% of Americans
(02:59):
agree with the currentadministration on deportation
and American uh citizenship.
I don't know.
I'm willing to bet you that moreAmericans are wanting their
dollars to be spent onthemselves than on others or not
even wanting to pay it at all.
(03:20):
Uh, and the Democrats walk outscreaming bloody murder.
Now, it's kind of funny becausenot more than what, two years
ago, they were saying how theRepublicans are walking out and
how they should never walk out.
And how a shot, I mean, Iliterally thought I was on
Groundhog Day.
David, we talked about GroundhogDay, we talked about hamster and
(03:42):
the wheel, and it's like overand over and over and over and
over again, we seem to be goingover and over the same issues,
except it's like flip-flop.
Like, as you said in the greenroom, little Chucky can't really
come up with a new idea.
You know, it's like Pocahontas,right?
It's like AOC.
You know, these peopleregurgitate the same thing over
(04:04):
and over and over again.
You know, I hate to say this, but you know, there used to be a
lot of smart people that wereDemocrats.
I don't know how someone smartcould actually get behind any of
their demagoguery, David.
SPEAKER_00 (04:18):
Well, you know,
Stuart, it's back to the same
old stories.
We're sitting here on abeautiful Wednesday, it's sunny,
it's fall, the leaves arechanging here in the northeast.
It's gorgeous.
We should be enjoying and reallytaking it in.
And if you live in Vermont or upin the Adirondacks or somewhere,
(04:39):
you should be enjoying it.
Instead, if you're a federalworker, if you're part of the
military, if you are anything todo, a contractor with the
government, you're worried againbecause you don't know how much
longer it's gonna be before youget a paycheck, get paid,
services, you name it.
(05:00):
And it's a typical thing thatthis is what governments have
gone to do.
That imagine a government isshut down for days, weeks on
end.
And the amazing thing is thefinger pointing, Stuart, as you
clearly pointed out, is that theDems, of course, are pointing
always when everything is wrong,it's Trump's fault.
Stuart, what's sad is that thethe Democrats don't look in the
(05:22):
mirror.
What they do is they like tothey, you know, they it's if you
remember the old fairy tale, mirror, mirror on the wall,
who's the fairest of them all?
And Chuck Schumer keeps hearing, you are Chuck.
You're the fairest of them all.
No, you're the most screwed upof them all because you continue
to cheat, you continue toflip-flop.
There are enough recordings ofyou yelling and screaming at
(05:45):
Republicans that they're hurtingeveryday middle class folks,
lower class, the working class.
Your comment is if you don'tgive me what I want, I shut down
the government.
Well, I guess you learned yournegotiation tax from Hamas
because that's all it is.
Give me what I want, or I donothing.
I don't negotiate.
And when you say, Oh, of coursethey negotiated, show me where
(06:07):
you negotiated.
Show me how you went back toDonald Trump and said, let's do
this and that.
No, I don't get my trilliondollars of spending I want, we
walk out.
We fill a buster.
Fascinating.
And now who's getting hurt?
And of course, Donald Trump isbeing accused again because
everything, you know, the sky isnot as blue as you wanted.
(06:29):
It's Donald Trump's fault.
It's the Republicans' fault.
Chuck Schumer is not evenlistening and hearing the people
saying, You're screwing usagain, Democrats.
Stewart's, you know, it'sfascinating to think that in
2024, the Republican Partypivoted through Donald Trump's
campaign to talk to the middleclass, the lower class, the
(06:51):
working class, call it whateveryou want.
No tax on tips, no tax, youknow, all these tax breaks that
he's trying to give to people.
He wants to bring backmanufacturing jobs here.
Whether it's right or wrong,it's not the point.
The point is he was targeting orspeaking to everyday Americans
about how he was going to helptheir lives.
(07:12):
What did the Dems do?
Call him Hitler.
Worry about transgender, worryabout stuff that no, that people
in general don't worry about.
The media wants you to worryabout it, but everyday human
beings are caring about what?
Food on the table, gas.
And here's the thing, Stuart,right?
When you see that in this pastweek, yesterday, Eli Lilly, or
(07:37):
sorry, it was Pfizer, was at theWhite House talking about the
reduction of the price ofpharmaceuticals to an affordable
price.
America was one of the mostexpensive places to buy
medicine.
And now the pharmaceuticalcompanies are coming in one by
one to create an environment inwhich it's going to be
affordable for everydayAmericans.
That's the Republican, that'sthe that's the Donald Trump
(07:59):
method.
The Chuck Schumer, AOC,Elizabeth Warren, and you know,
our dear friend Bernie Sandersway is ramp through ridiculous
spending.
Because the spending wasn't juston healthcare, it was all these
initiatives that Doge killed.
The EI initiatives, stupid stuffthat Doge found and just stupid
money being spent.
But he needed back, those demsneeded back.
(08:23):
And Chuck Schumer is now caught.
He wants to still be his party'sleader in the Senate.
But there's this little weaselnamed AOC who's trying to take
his seat, apparently.
And if he doesn't satisfy theJasmine Crockett's of his party,
he is likely to lose his power.
(08:44):
Amazing that the Democrats areonly concerned about their power
and not everyday Americans.
So as you wake up this morningand you've lit or this
afternoon, whenever you got outof bed, I don't care, and you
open up that liberal media, youof course are hearing that
Donald Trump and the Republicansare clearly responsible for the
shutdown.
It's always the Republicans.
But this time, folks, the votewas Chuck Schumer's court.
(09:07):
He could have done something.
He chose not to, so he couldhold power.
So now, ladies and gentlemen, when you speak to that friend of
yours who is not getting apaycheck or a contract was not
getting paid or a service thatyou need is not happening, just
remember send a thank you card.
David, but never credit carded.
SPEAKER_01 (09:28):
Yeah, but you're
forgetting, you know, these are
the elite class, they're notfriends with civil servants.
Come on, David.
Yeah, and they didn't getanything.
SPEAKER_00 (09:35):
I didn't forget
anything.
You may not even listening to myrank, my friend, but I did not
forget.
SPEAKER_01 (09:40):
No, they're not
friends with the civil servants,
they're not friends with theemployees of the country.
They're the elite, they're theones who are whining and dining
when all of us are in the oh,did you hear where they're
going, by the way, for theirretreat?
SPEAKER_00 (09:54):
Napa Valley.
They're doing a democraticretreat in the Napa Valley.
Wine and beautiful dinners.
Well, civil servants are likelyto lose their jobs.
Is that great or what?
SPEAKER_01 (10:07):
You know, ask me if
I'm surprised, David.
I'm not surprised with theiractions.
Their actions are constantlythose that are hypocritical.
And you know, the JasmineCrockets, you know, I gotta tell
you, I can yell and David.
We can yell and scream.
I think we should run forCongress.
You know, who cares if you'renot American?
(10:29):
We can get you to run forCongress.
Heck, we can get you a driver'slicense, we can get you a free
house.
I hear Chucky's got an extraroom.
Maybe you want to, you know, settle on it with little Chucky.
You know, it is time, it is timeto wake up.
You wouldn't run your house inthis manner and survive.
(10:50):
And you know what?
None of these people would runtheir finances the way that
they're declaring that we shouldas a country.
And at the end of the day, thereis a price to pay for stupidity.
And you know what?
You're right.
The Democratic Party isdemagoguing president of the
United States.
They're the ones who are, we'regonna call them baiting people
(11:12):
to go out and do crazy shit.
They blame the right for doingthis for years and years and
years and years.
They stop.
You know, I listen, uh there'sgot to be a level of enough is
enough.
How many people have to getshot?
SPEAKER_00 (11:31):
No, we're you're off
topic, dude.
SPEAKER_01 (11:35):
Let's say we gotta
cut the budget, we gotta cut
this, we gotta cut it no, butit's no, it's not about no.
SPEAKER_00 (11:41):
The Democrats don't
want you to cut the budget.
No, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_01 (11:44):
They want to cut the
they want to cut the country
from operating, they want to cutthe process of budget.
SPEAKER_00 (11:52):
Yes, absolutely.
Absolutely.
Let me ask you, Stuart.
Let me ask you a question,Stuart.
You're a financial advisor,right?
Would you ever advise any one ofyour clients to invest more
money than they currently have?
SPEAKER_01 (12:06):
Oh, well, sometimes,
yeah, that's called leverage.
SPEAKER_00 (12:08):
You add hold on,
hold on, hold on.
So you're borrowing, right?
You're gonna borrow money to addto that.
What what am I paying when Iborrow money?
SPEAKER_01 (12:17):
Well, it well,
actually, David, it's build,
borrow, die.
SPEAKER_00 (12:19):
If you really want
to know the financial terms and
very well educated your don'tdon't don't don't become a
university professor, there'sonly you know, listen for the
question and when you borrowmoney, what do you pay?
Interest.
Okay, now how much interest isthe US government paying because
they're spending more money thanthey have.
(12:40):
Well, the interest rate billionsand billions and billions of
dollars.
The interest alone is the sizeof a medium-sized country's
economy, and yet Chuck Schumerbelieves we should put more in
there.
The country, you know, firstit's blame them for the for the
tariffs.
Suddenly there's more money tospend.
Oh, you have more money, let'sgo spend it.
You made it a dollar, let's gospend two dollars.
(13:03):
I don't know, you know, betweenyou and me, Stuart, I I I think
I could put a 14-year-old kidthat I know who understands
budgeting, who will do betterjob than Chuck Schumer.
Because this, but clearly, theword budget it doesn't exist.
I agree.
It's not a budget, it's a wishlist.
You know, I want to buy no, it'sa Christmas list.
SPEAKER_01 (13:25):
It's take it one
step further.
It's a Christmas list.
I want the whole consumercatalog.
David, remember consumerdistributing?
Consumer distributing.
We used to take this catalog andgo through it, kind of like the
Sears catalog, and look at allthese pretty pictures of these
games when we were kids and wewanted it all.
It didn't matter.
Okay, but did you get it all?
SPEAKER_00 (13:45):
No, was it consumer
wants it all, Stuart?
He wants it all so he could showhis party and everybody.
Look what I look what I did foryou.
But all the pro the problem isthat he doesn't really care how
he gets the money, he doesn'tcare who he hurts in the
process.
SPEAKER_01 (14:02):
It's it's called
political survival.
Well, we know that politicalsurvivor.
That's it, that's the onlyreason.
They don't care about anyoneelse other themselves.
They're they are narcissists, they're narcissists on a good
day.
SPEAKER_00 (14:14):
Stuart, I'm gonna
wrap it up with this statement
about the demo because it's justjust a crazy thing.
The Democrats have pivoted, andI said this to you in the green
room, and I'm I'm gonna changewhat I said.
I was wrong.
The part the Democrats didpivot, they pivoted in the wrong
direction.
They're talking to, as you said, elitists, they're talking to
people who go to universitieswho are learning all this
(14:36):
socialist nonsense.
I don't know if you heard inPhiladelphia they put up a flag
of communist China there tocelebrate communism.
Like this is what they are goingafter.
Yet you have the GOP whocontinues to talk about made in
USA, America first, and all thatstuff, and putting more money on
the table.
And there's no wonder poll afterpoll is showing that Donald
(15:00):
Trump has got the country in theright mood, despite interest
rates, despite inflation, despite, you know, the the
hopefully the I don't know whatthe jobs are going to be like on
Friday.
But Donald Trump and theRepublicans are clearly talking
to everyday Americans.
I'm not sure who the Dems aretalking to, other than
themselves, in an echo chamber.
SPEAKER_01 (15:19):
Well, you know,

the Kool-Aid, drinking theKool-Aid.

of Republicans in office.
David, on that note.
