Are we too proud to admit when our predictions miss the mark? Six months into Trump’s presidency, the “experts” who forecast economic disaster and global chaos have gone quiet—while the numbers tell a different story. Record tariff revenue, stability abroad, and rising approval ratings are rewriting the narrative. Let’s break out of the echo chamber, challenge our assumptions, and embrace the facts—even if it means saying, “You were right.”

Speaker 1 (00:01):
According to therapists, the hardest three
words we tend to say or not say,for that matter is you were
right.
Think about it In relationships.
Often you don't want to admityou were wrong, and to say that
you were right is pretty tough.
Now imagine this in media andpolitics.

(00:21):
Those three words are hardlysaid by the media, let alone by
politicians, because God forbid, they should be proven wrong and
that somebody else should beright, because that would give
them credence, rewards, approval, call it whatever you want.
That is exactly what's going onwith Donald Trump.

(00:43):
That is exactly what's going onwith Donald Trump Six months
into office.
The media and other politiciansare really, really having a
hard time because they got itreally wrong when it comes to
Donald Trump.
Welcome back everybody.
Welcome back to the RantNetwork.
My name is David Solomon.
I am flying solo today.
Stuart is away for the day andwe'll be back on Friday.
What we do here every Monday, wednesday, friday, noon Eastern

(01:04):
is we just talk about all thestuff that you want to not talk
about Politics, absurdities inmodern life and so much more.
These are our opinions.
However, these opinions arealso substantiated with fact.
We do our research, we do ourhomework to make sure that we
are not quite that.
Other channels that you might bewatching or listening to.
So sit back today as I reallydive into this conversation

(01:26):
about they were wrong.
Look, you know, I got to tellyou I'm amazed.
It's amazing Because whensomeone gets it wrong and we
teach our children you know whenyou're wrong and we teach our

(01:49):
children you know when you'rewrong own it.
Accountability, don't look likea fool, don't be an idiot,
don't think you're the smartestperson, necessarily in the room,
but apparently that doesn'tmake a difference in media and
politics.
In media and politics, youcould say what you want, you
could be wrong and you can't beheld accountable for anything or
whatever.
It is that I say.
That's exactly what is happeningtoday, because six months ago,

(02:10):
when Donald Trump was back inoffice, the reaction from the
left was doomsday, doomsday,doomsday.
Sky is going to fall.
It'll be the end of the world.
Forget it.
He's going to sink us, et, etc.
Etc.
Remember it started with Doge.
He can't touch Doge.
Usaid, don't do this.

(02:31):
Da-da-da, it's going to destroythe country.
It didn't.
Did you hear anything?
Nope, of course not Now.
Fast forward with tariffs andeverything.
Not Now.
Fast forward with tariffs andeverything.
Now, as a Canadian, I hate thenotion of tariffs.
It's awfully, awfully painful, the amount of tariffs that you

(02:56):
know that I'm going to have todeal with as a Canadian.
It's going to hurt me.
I know that, and it's incumbenton my government to go out and
negotiate.
Just like Japan, vietnam, theEU, uk you name it have gone and
done.
But of course the left, themedia, the politicians have to
say it's doom and gloom.
It's going to destroy theeconomy, recession, inflation.
They throw all the words outthere, hoping something sticks,

(03:21):
did it?
According to the last report, july tariff revenue breaks a
monthly record of $150 billioncollected in 2025.
Let me read this the UScollected nearly $28 billion in
customs duty in July, thehighest monthly total so far in

(03:41):
the year.
In January, tariff revenueshovered around 7.9 and more than
doubled in 16.3.
The Treasury, according toSecretary Besant, has previously
said, the administrationpredicts tariffs may generate as
much as $300 billion in newrevenues and, as a result, mr
Trump floated the idea of maybesetting $600 per person of

(04:04):
checks to each individual undera certain income level.
Now some would like to pay downthe debt, which makes a heck of
a lot of sense, but think aboutit.
There's a surplus.
Yes, prices are marginallyimpacted but I use the word
marginally not the way the left, the media and everyone else had
predicted.

(04:25):
But where are you hearing the wegot it wrong statement?
You see, msnbc, cnn and allthese have decided to bring in
sports people.
Pablo Torre from ESPN, stephenA Smith from ESPN are suddenly
these political experts.
They know their sports, sure, but they're political experts.

(04:48):
And they both predicted doomand gloom.
And there's nothing like anMSNBC doom and gloom prediction,
nothing like it.
It's as if the world iscollapsing.
The sky is going to fall, we'redead, we're devastated, we're
doomed collapsing.
The sky is going to fall, we'redead, we're devastated, we're

(05:08):
doomed.
Every pun that they bring onmakes a worse and worse
statement on Donald J Trump.
But how many of you think aregoing to be paraded on MSNBC?
Who are going to go?
Nope, we got it wrong.
It took someone like Bill Maher, who was admitted on a podcast.
He got it wrong and he says Igot to own it because, quote the
economy is thriving.

(05:29):
Ah, listen to that.
Yes, he spoke on the ClubRundum podcast and he just said
you know, he figured by July the4th, the economy was going to
go to the crap house and itdidn't.
And he goes.
It didn't happen.
He says it could happentomorrow.
I'm just saying that's reality,so let's work first from the
reality of that, not from quote.

(05:50):
I just hate Donald Trump becausethat's boring and doesn't get
us anywhere and leads you todishonesty, leads you to
dishonesty.
Yes, the hate for Donald Trumpis immense.
Consequently, we're going to doand say whatever.
It is the doom and gloom.
He added that the truth is.
I don't know what his strategyis, but look, the stock market's
at record highs.
I also drive around.

(06:12):
I don't see a country in adepression at all.
I see people just out thereliving their lives.
I would have thought and I'vegot to own it that these tariffs
were going to bleep and sinkthe economy by this time, and
they didn't.
How do we deal with that fact?
Because that's the fact, someone who admits he was wrong.
And what do you think ishappening to poor Bill Maher?

(06:32):
You think people like what hesaid?
Of course not, because he brokethe code.
Thou shalt not admit you werewrong.
Pundits right now on CNN andMSNBC are absolutely appalled by
the ratings that are goingtowards Donald Trump his
approval ratings on the economy, the way he's handling the

(06:54):
border, way, way ahead of theDemocrats I'll get back to the
Democrats in a second but it'sdriving them nuts.
They want to destroy DonaldTrump and they can't.
The more they try, the lessthey succeed.
But let's go on about wrongpredictions.
Let's talk about one VermontSenator, bernie Sanders.

(07:18):
The Jew hater, the man whothinks he knows everything, the
staunch socialist who's proppingup Zohan Mandani as the next
great savior of the UnitedStates of America, shows you
where his mindset is.
And when the United Statesattacked Iran, his reaction was
that Trump was beyond being anidiot and he was about to cause

(07:39):
World War III and disrupting theMiddle East.
And he had one prediction ofdoom and gloom that it will
cause such chaos in the MiddleEast.
It's going to be unimaginable.
How are we doing there, bernie?
How's the Middle East right now?
Iran, I would say chopped atthe knees right now.
I won't say they're dead, butthey've been chopped at the

(08:00):
knees, pretty good.
No, yeah, there are problems inSyria.
Yes, there's a problem inissues with Gaza.
Yes, there are lies aboutstarvation in Gaza, total lies.
This is the fabrication.
The United Nations is not doingits job.
But the doom and gloom that youpredicted, bernie, didn't
happen.
Of course, not because you knownothing about foreign affairs,

(08:23):
but you decided and the mediasupported you that you knew what
you were talking about thatthis attack by the United States
was going to cause unimaginabledamage.
How are we doing, bernie?
Middle East is nowhere nearwhat you predicted, but let me

(08:45):
throw something up against thewall, and if it doesn't stick,
I'll try something else, becausethat, ladies and gentlemen, is
the way it works.
Now I'm talking about theDemocrats, and the Republicans
have been no better historically, but let's get with the program
.
Okay, everybody, can we stopwith this BS rhetoric?
They got it right.
Donald Trump got six monthsright.

(09:07):
Whether you like it or not andI know in politics it's about
don't vote for me because I'mgood, don't vote for the other
guy because he's bad.
Look how bad he is.
Look what he's caused.
Yesterday, congressman Stalwell, with his idiot videos about oh
, I should be in Congresslowering your costs.

(09:28):
You see this on X and you'relike dude, you've been raising
the cost of living, you've beenlowering it.
Facts don't matter, apparently, but it's okay, keep going with
those X videos.
Here's the reality of it all.
The Democratic Party is in anecho chamber, the media keeps

(09:49):
saying that they're right, everything is wonderful, the
world is a great place if theyweren't.
If they were because of theDemocrats and the Republicans
are just, you know, wacky doodle.
They're crazy.
Look what they're doing.
They're going to destroy thecountry, and so on and so forth.
And so, as a result, theDemocrats and the media continue
to voice off of each otherthese wonderful statements All

(10:10):
is, you know, as long as theDemocrats are in power, the
world is a safe place.
Doesn't matter who it is, froma moderate to Mamdani, it
doesn't make a difference.
Put a Democrat in place, everything is good.
And that's what you hear inthis echo chamber.
So, whatever Donald Trump doesand whatever the Republicans do,
whether it's Marco Rubio orwhether it's Kristi Noem or

(10:31):
whatever, it has to be bad.
It's not working, it's notsticking.
The American people, after sixmonths, continue to support the
Trump administration.
Regardless of what you want tobelieve, the polls have shown it
.
It's rare to find a poll unlessyou're going to call all the

(10:52):
socialist lefties.
It's rare to find a poll thatsays that Donald Trump isn't
having a good approval rating.
Yeah, there are days and thereare moments where things are
better and worse and what haveyou.
But let's take a look at what hedid, and I talked about it
before.
Japan signed a great deal UK EUmassive deals.

(11:13):
All these deals favor theUnited States.
Donald Trump wanted to makeAmerica great again.
He wanted to bring it to be aneven better superpower.
The world owes the UnitedStates a major thank you for
being the world's policeman, forprotecting all of these
countries, for helping andpropping them up economically,

(11:35):
and he wanted it as a big thankyou.
And he got it.
And he was tired.
He fought NATO.
He won.
He's fought other countries.
He's won.
What does it tell you?
And maybe it's time to change alittle bit of the policies.
Even the Bushes, even theRepublicans, hate Donald Trump,

(11:58):
there's no doubt, because he'sbroken the mold.
He's broken the mold.
He's done more in six monthsthan most presidents do.
In two terms, he's broken themold and it ruffles a lot of
feathers.
A lot of people have been therefor a long time.
And, yeah, he will have hispiss war with a bunch of
Republicans and he doesn't careBecause, as the president of the

(12:22):
United States, supposedly themost powerful person in the
world, people are trying todisrupt him, from judges to
politicians, to the media andbeyond and yet he keeps going on
, he keeps winning and it'sdriving everybody nuts.

(12:44):
So what does it tell you?
Really simple, ladies andgentlemen.
What it tells you is that whenyou watch the CNNs and the
MSNBCs and you want to be inyour echo chamber and you just
want to hear what you want tohear, go listen to them.
They've misled you Because forsix months, they've told people

(13:04):
don't, the world is a shakyplace, there's no confidence,
recession coming, don't investcapital in CapEx, don't invest
in your businesses, because it'scatastrophic future.
They hurt your business, theyhurt your bottom line because
they lied to you for politicaland for agenda purposes.

(13:24):
They didn't help you, they hurtyou.
That is what they've done.
And you think they're going toadmit that they were wrong.
Hell, no.
Watch the reactions on livetelevision Banging their heads
on the table, scratching theirheads, swearing on television
Because they got it wrong andthey won't admit it Because they

(13:46):
want to hurt Donald Trump, thatthe shot he got in his ear
wasn't enough.
They want to take him down.
That's their goal.
So, folks, let me put it to youthis way I'm not sitting here
today telling you go watch FoxNews.
I'm not here to tell you to gowatch anything.

(14:08):
I'm telling you to do yourhomework Because when it came to
tariffs, people didn'tunderstand it.
They let the media explain itin such a way that it was just
awful and it didn't make sense, especially if you were on the
left, especially if you were ademocratic lover.
All you heard was doom andgloom.
Not, oh my God, there is anopportunity.
All you heard was don't invest, don't buy, don't this, because,

(14:33):
holy crap, this is what you'regetting folks.
This is what you're gettingfolks.
So what you got to do, do yourhomework.
Research online, figure it out, speak to people who know what
they're talking about, becausethe media pretends.
And, like I said, if you'regoing to bring in a sports
analyst to tell you about worldeconomics and this, really this

(14:56):
is who you want to listen to.
Because Stephen A Smith theDemocrats have talked about
making him the candidate for2028.
They made fun of Reagan as anactor being the president.
Now you want a sportscommentator as your president,
because he knows better.
I don't know about you people, but just remember the hardest

(15:19):
three words.
You were right.
That's it for now, everybody,I'm wishing you a wonderful rest
of the week.
We're past the hump day, we'reinto Friday.
Be back on Friday noon Easternwith another rant.
We'll be back by then.
Please, folks, share us, likeus all that.
