Speaker 1 (00:01):
Wow, I hear a jingle.
It's Monday morning but it'snot such a jingle.
Oh boy, you know, when youstart hearing about 69% of
hate-based crimes, of hate-basedcrimes, that's exactly the
(00:27):
sound that you should be makingDrumroll 69% of all hate crimes.
And, by the way, that's a 2024statistic not even a current
statistic, because I believethat number has probably doubled
(00:48):
since that statistic wasreleased.
Hi everybody, my name is StuartBriscoe, that's David Solomon,
and this is an unapologeticdiscussion that we host Monday,
wednesday, friday, noon Easternaround the world.
Whether it's breaking down thelatest headlines, exploring pop
(01:08):
culture, delving intocomplexities of modern life,
this is a platform where weoffer every perspective.
So grab a seat, settle in,because this is going to be an
interesting wild ride.
You know, david, we have talkedabout over the last five years
(01:29):
the insanity that's existedabout anti-Semitism and the
growth around the world.
I used to constantly bring up across-reference to 1930 Germany
, if you recall, not alwaysreceived well in our rants.
Why do I always bring this up,and rightfully so at that time?
(01:52):
But I think today, david, Ithink you might not have an
objection of me bringing up 1930Germany and the modern
environment of politics.
At least I'm hopeful.
That's where we're going to getto today, because I think
(02:13):
that's where we are, david.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Stuart, your focus on
the left is merited.
There's no doubt that we havean issue, but let's get a little
bit.
Let me take a step back.
I'm trying to understand.
When we started this rant anumber of years ago, it was all
about, you know, we were justgetting.
We were in COVID, black LivesMatter was still strong, and the
(02:37):
media, the politicians, theywent wild.
We got fixed.
We have a problem in the world.
They went wild.
We got to fix.
We have a problem in the world.
We have a problem in Americaand rules changed, funding was
moved, other things happened, right and wrong, but there was
(03:02):
this movement to try where theythought they were going to try,
to make lives better for theBlack community of the United
States.
Folks, frankly, let's get real.
It hasn't changed much, butthere were some attempts which
led to worse crimes and theywere led to other things.
But it raised the level ofawareness that we have an issue
(03:25):
in North America, in the world, white and black.
I got it.
Agree or disagree is irrelevant.
You created an awarenessprogram.
Now here's the problem.
Anti-semitism doesn't need anawareness program, it needs a
reality check.
It needs a reality check.
(03:53):
But the problem with Stuart'sstart at the beginning of this
rant and forgot to add in thepiece was 69% of all hate crimes
was anti-Semitism.
In the month of July alone, ona global scale, there were 554
anti-Semitic acts On a globalscale, an increase of over 21%
from the previous year.
And every year it keeps goingup, including the United States,
including Canada, includingEurope, including Australia.
(04:22):
Now let's talk about what theyall have in common, shall we?
Left-leaning politicians whoare encouraging anti-Semitism?
Now you're going to say to me,david, they're not saying
anything against the Jewishcommunity.
You're right, but what they'renot doing is stopping it.
And that's what they did withBLM.
These same politicians for BLMgot up and screamed, from Tim
Walz to you name it, we got todo something.
(04:44):
And here the reaction on theleft is we're going to do
nothing because we don't want todisturb our base.
And right now, when you haveidiot leaders like Macron, keir
Starmer, mark Carney, the PrimeMinister of Australia, the Prime
Ministers of Ireland, spain, other countries, who stand up
(05:06):
and say, oh, we need to declarein September a Palestinian state
which, by the way, is asidiotic as it's going to get,
because it is no substance, noreality.
The more they do that, the moreanti-Semitism Watch the track
Stuart.
The more they talk, the greaterthe anti-Semitism.
(05:26):
Watch the track Stuart.
The more they talk, the greaterthe anti-Semitism.
Now yesterday, stuart, I proudlywalked in the LGBT pride parade
here in Montreal.
Having a son who's gay, noproblem.
We walked together and, as Isaid last week, we were denied
entry.
We were told Jews not welcome, sound like yourany 1930s.
(05:49):
And as a result, when we werelet in, we were told you cannot
show an israeli flag, it'spolitical.
Oh, we have rules against whatwe could talk.
Three speech has been squashedin our part.
We were also the only groupamongst dozens of groups that
(06:10):
needed multiple layers ofsecurity.
Yeah, there was police floatingaround making sure, but you
want to know what, stuart?
The police congratulations, they did their job.
There were a few disruptors whocame in with Palestinian flags
who were not part of the parade.
They got rid of them, good foryou.
There was another march wherethey let them do whatever they
(06:31):
want, but other groups got toexpress themselves any which way
they wanted, but us and noother group really had any real
security, and even it took oneugly participant to throw a
balloon filled with urine on ourgroup.
This is what the left acceptsas a form of expression.
(06:55):
Now, that person was tackled.
This person is being tried witha crime, right, I mean, it was
tackled like that.
But again, it was sad because, unfortunately, we were marching
yesterday.
More people applauded, morepeople were encouraged, people
were excited.
(07:15):
Yeah, there were people whowere neutral and we had a few
boos, I don't care.
Good, but we got a lot ofpositive reception.
But the confusion we have was, stuart, is why do we need
security, that much security?
And I'm saying multiple layersof security around the world.
(07:46):
Hundreds of thousands of Jewsor millions of Jews around the
world will go to theirsynagogues and community centers
and whatever you will see.
Again, multiple layers ofsecurity, because the left and
other groups are not doinganything about anti-Semitism.
I'm tired of hearing that thisis just a far right issue.
Give me a break.
It's a lie.
Yes, there are people on thefar right who don't want us.
(08:07):
I get it, but it's the peopleon the left who are running the
countries and the communities inthe states I talked about.
And when you hear guys likeMamdani who threatened and he's
like no, I'm not, I'm okay, buthe's threatening Jewish life in
New York City he's going to,it's going to be bad.
(08:28):
And when Elizabeth Warren standsup and said this is the face of
the Democratic Party and AOCdoes the same thing, stuart Bill
Maher last week pointed outthat AOC has never condemned
anything in the Middle East.
All she does is encourage.
Well, she's a member of thesquad david.
Well, let's stop repeating thesame words.
(08:50):
Let's call her enough for whatshe is she is.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Why has she not?
She's a member of the squad.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
She's not, no, the
member of the squad is great,
but every member of that squadis a hateful person towards jews
.
Look how often did they vote tocondemn anti-Semitism.
How many posts have they put onanti-Semitism?
It's a big round number, because it really is nothing.
And then, stuart, I'm going tofinish it with this Last week, a
(09:21):
religious Jewish man wasassaulted in Montreal,
physically beaten up.
It was caught on video.
It went online on social.
As of now they haven't caughtthe individual, but could you
imagine how many people went onthat line and said on that post
and said how do you know that'sa Jew?
How do you know that's a?
(09:42):
Why do you people?
You people create problems.
You're the reason why there'shate issues.
And you see the guy pick up akippah and throw it in the water
and you're telling me thatthat's not what it is.
It's again.
And, by the way, what was MarkCarney's reaction?
He said he had a tweet aboutcats.
The next day he put up ageneric vanilla statement that
(10:02):
had no bite to it.
This is the world we're in.
This is not a Montreal problem.
This is not a Canadian problem.
This is a global problem.
Montreal, new York City, london, sydney, australia, paris,
france these are no longer safecities for Jews.
What the hell are we waitingfor, stuart?
(10:23):
What is the world waiting for?
We can't just continue to waitfor pride parades and get
applauses.
What we need today is very notlike the Black Lives Matter, but
we need the media to stop theirpolicy of hate towards Jews.
Politicians' policy of hatetowards jews politicians policy
towards hate towards jews.
Can we be treated like thecitizens that we're?
(10:45):
We're in the, we're in thecountry of of a you know where
we're supposed to.
Our rights are supposed to beprotected, not send us more
money for security.
It's spreading steward you know, dav.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
David, I applaud you
for your involvement in your
community.
I applaud you for standing sideby side with your son.
I applaud you for sayingsomething that repeating what
we've been saying for five years.
(11:19):
I mean, that's really wherethis rant goes.
I applaud you.
What doesn't happen is there isno action to all of our work.
None, zero.
We have friends that listen, that refuse to like, love and
(11:40):
share, that hear our rants everysingle week.
They are family members, theyare friends we grew up with,
they're colleagues that we have, that are politically
well-aligned, yet none of themtake our posts and push them
forward.
The problem isn't that thepoliticians have an issue,
(12:06):
because I expect no more than aused car salesman from a
politician, same type of classof person.
One sometimes has a formaleducation, sometimes they don't,
but they're used car salesmenat best.
It's our friends, ourcolleagues, the ones that have
been around for five years thatwe have thousands of posts for,
(12:26):
that do absolutely nothing.
David, I'm actually telling youthe blame isn't on the
politicians anymore.
The blame is on all of ourfriends and groups around us
that remain utterly silent.
It is the deafening silencethat is truly the cause and the
(12:46):
continuum of causing this issueperiod.
I have a different view, david.
You want to blame politicians.
I want to blame our friends.
I want to blame our colleagues.
I am firmly going to argue withyou that it isn't going to be
the politicians' fault, but yournext door neighbor that follows
(13:09):
every single broadcast, yourin-laws from the other states
that don't want to share likelove and forward.
They are the reason.
You know, they are truly thecause.
The other side has amobilization where fuck yeah, it
looks good kicking the shit outof a Jew.
Absolutely, let's put it allover the place.
(13:31):
No, our friends, our colleagues,no, I don't want to put that on
my site, I don't want to pushit.
It seems too.
I can't say that.
I mean, I don't know how theysay this and work professionally
.
Those are the people that areto blame.
They were to blame in the 1930s, the 1920s, and they are the
(13:51):
blame today.
Yes, david, I'm blamingourselves and all of our friends
, and I don't think you couldargue with me any longer.
That's where the problem lies.
It lies in the synagogues, itlies in the churches, it lies by
(14:13):
all of these people who refuseto put out the facts and the
truth.
I don't want to put that outthere.
It's a little too sticky for me.
It's a little little too boldthe way they say it.
You know what?
They're nice guys, I know themfor 40 years, but you know I
don't want to put that on mymedia channel.
Well, david, they are thereason why we are going down
(14:34):
this road and will continue togo down this road, because a
lack of fortitude of everysingle person, of names that
we've mentioned throughout theyears, and joking manners you
know, I hate to say it, davidthey are equally at fault to
everyone else, including thosepoliticians, can't disagree with
(14:56):
you.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Wow, unfortunately, I
unfortunately, it's really.
What you said is very poignantand you're right, and I had this
conversation last week and, asyou were saying it, I'm like I'm
reminded of a conversation Ihad with somebody who said yeah,
you know, david, I listened toyour rant and you guys are a
little aggressive.
Aggressive Somebody throwingurine at you in a water balloon.
(15:19):
Aggressive, somebody throwingurine at you with in a water
balloon.
By the way, one of the peoplehit, you know, was a member of
the montreal clergy.
Um, not a targeted attack, butthat person was, you know, felt
that impact.
And you're telling me I'maggressive, we're aggressive.
Yeah, we use our mouthpiece, we,we are very vocal and the
(15:40):
reason we do the rant very oftenis because people are silent
and there are groups of loud, groups of people who are noisy,
who are making and are scaringthe crap out of our kids.
And I want to tell you, stuart, most people I know has at least
one kid who thinks we're atfault, the Jews are at fault,
(16:03):
these are Jewish families.
Okay, because we're not, we'renot sharing realities with a lot
of these kids and now they'resympathizers.
We are the enemy.
So, if you're right, we are.
If we're not vocal, we're done.
And right now, if we're notvocal, the people who are in
charge will continue to win, andif we don't use our ballot
(16:26):
boxes to make change, it's adisaster.
What's going on?
Speaker 1 (16:36):
And if we're not
going to do something soon,
stuart?
It's going to get a hell of alot worse.
My hat goes off to communityorganizers that are unapologetic
, david.
You know, we are not a communityorganizational group.
We're basically here's the raw, unfiltered version that most
people wouldn't bring up or talkabout.
That's what we've done for fiveyears, for 800 plus episodes.
(16:56):
That's all this is.
You know, you ask me time andtime again do you want to
continue doing this?
You know, if you're not reallyinto it, if you really don't
feel the vigor in doing it, thenmaybe we should stop.
You know, and we've had thoseconversations the reality is
it's not for us to stop, it'sfor them to start.
(17:17):
Agreed, it is.
And again, they're doctors,they're lawyers, they're
professionals, they're ordinarybusinessmen, they're family
members, they're in-laws,they're outlaws, they're
relatives of in-laws and outlaws.
And, David, you know what I'mcalling out.
You know what, David, you knowwhat I'm calling out.
(17:39):
You know what, David, you andall these people who criticize
some of our rants are the oneswith the deepest silence, who
are the ones that will beaffected the most and have the
most amount of consequences.
I want to remind everyone theyalready do.
I want to remind everyone whathappened in 1930 was the
(18:02):
deafening silence of the averageGerman Jew, of the average
non-Jew German that wasn'texactly an Aryan.
It was the deafening silencethat caused an atrocity that no
(18:23):
one has ever seen in ourlifetime.
Cause they're all dead.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Well, Stuart, as as
we wrap this up, I'm hoping that
people wake up, because if theywait any longer, it might be
too late.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Maybe I should use
some of those cliche words that
aggravate and annoy people themost.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
Maybe not, maybe, not
, maybe not.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
I just have to make
David's head twin.
Anyways, guys, that brings thisepisode to a close.
We truly appreciate you tuningin, sharing in every Monday,
Wednesday, Friday, noon Eastern, where we're not afraid to tell
you what we really think.
It's a thought-provokingconversation.
We do not leave the honesty outof this dialogue.
Guys, take care, See you soon.
(19:10):
Until Wednesday, be passionate,be bold and maybe use your
noggin, David, kill it.
