If you or your movement can’t celebrate the safe return of hostages, maybe it’s not a movement for life at all or there is something wrong with you. Our latest episode strips away the noise to tackle the uneasy silence following a ceasefire, exposing the contradictions when “peace” is met with indifference instead of relief. We dig into why prioritizing hostages matters, the aftermath for survivors, and challenge the double standards we see on campuses and online. Tune in for a candid, no-slogans look at what real progress demands—because saving lives should never be controversial.

SPEAKER_00 (00:01):
Ooh la la la.
You know, it's Friday.
And it looks like we're gettinguh a ceasefire in the Middle
East.
Some people call that peace.

(00:22):
I call that a ceasefire.
I hear there's going to be thehostages being returned on or
before Sunday.

SPEAKER_01 (00:32):
Monday, Tuesday now.

SPEAKER_00 (00:34):
Monday, Tuesday.
Yeah.
They require 10 days to find allthe dead bodies of all the
murdered people.
And, you know, I'm looking onthe streets of New York on some
cameras, and I don't see therioters, the paid rioters that

(00:57):
are out there, the paidprotesters.
You know, I guess we ended BLM.
I guess we ended climate change.
I guess we ended uh, you know, gay rights.
I guess we ended what else weend.
We ended free Palestine.
I mean, there's not much leftfor the protesters to protest.

(01:20):
Conversely, you don't see themcelebrating either in the
streets.
These are things that are veryinteresting.
You almost hear the sound ofcrickets in the fields.
There's so much silence, it'sbeyond deafening.
Where are all of the haters?

(01:42):
You know, this is far from over,David.
I don't believe this is the endof this situation.
I think that the vitral hatredruns deep.
I've sent you a video about awoman who was saved from burns
on her body, then was saved ofbeing attacked, and then she was

(02:05):
told that she's gonna go martyrherself in the hospital that
saved her life, not once buttwice.
You know, when you have a peoplethat teach hate, there's no
reprieve, there's no end insight.
Anyways, I'm sorry for theextended entrance, but it's
Friday.
No rules apply.

(02:26):
Welcome everybody to the podcastcalled The Rant Network.
It's a go-to, unfiltered,unpologetic discussion hosted by
David Solomon today and myself,Stuart Bruzgown.
We tackle a diverse range oftopics and the conversation,
bold opinions, whether we'rebreaking down the latest
headlines, exploring popculture, debating politics, or
delving to complexities ofmodern life.

(02:47):
This is a platform for all theseperspectives and discussions.
We give an opinion.
So grab a seat, settle in, andjoin us on this
thought-provoking journey.
But you know, in this process, Ihear deafening crickets.
You mentioned in the green roomthat the you know Nobel Peace

(03:08):
Prize has been awarded to awoman who's been fighting for
peace in Venezuela.
How many wars did Donald J.
Trump settle in the last 60days, 90 days?

SPEAKER_01 (03:20):
Seven or eight.
Seven or eight.

SPEAKER_00 (03:23):
How many tens of hundreds of thousands of people
do you think were saved?

SPEAKER_01 (03:27):
Oh, I think it's already in the million, it's
gonna be in the millions, butyeah.

SPEAKER_00 (03:31):
And the Nobel Prize is awarded to someone from
another communist regime that isfighting for freedom.
You know, as we and the Americanpeople are bombing the shit out
of these drug cartel boats thatare going across the water, this
is where they give the NobelPrize.

(03:51):
I mean, David, they can't hatemore than what they already do.
I just can't fathom it.
I can't fathom the lack ofcelebration.
I mean, I understand we're notcelebrating yet because the
hostages aren't free.
I know we're not celebrating yetbecause we still have a
wonderful head of the snakecalled Iran that hasn't been

(04:13):
dealt with.
And I know we're not celebratingbecause the bodies of those that
were massacred and murdered incold, venomous blood have not
been returned to their lovedones.
We're the only people on theplanet that value the body of a
loved one as much as we do thelife of a living one.

(04:34):
It's amazing.
Yet we are the barbarians, yetwe are the uh invaders, yet we
are the ones that bring fruitsand vegetables to a desert.
It's we that have a countrythat's the only one in the world
with a diminishing desert, notan increasing desert.
It's we that have a country thatrepresents the second most

(04:57):
amount of inventions in theplanet.
It is we that represent everysingle piece of technology that
I'm using today to telegraph, communicate, and discuss with
you.
Yet we are the ones beingmassacred.
It's we are the ones that arebeing persecuted.

(05:19):
But the point of this rant isn'tabout how we're being
persecuted, the purpose of thisrant is where are all the
parades in the street, David?

SPEAKER_01 (05:30):
Well, you said parades, I would call them like
hate fests.
But reality, folks, is whatStuart was saying.
And then this is something wetalked about at great length.
And since Tuesday night, youknow, you if you didn't hear
under a rock, you know, Hamascame to its senses and said,
Okay, enough is enough.
We're gonna finally return thehostages.
And what would what wasinterestingly noted, Stuart, is

(05:53):
in past peace attempts orceasefire attempts, it had to be
Israel who had to go first.
And Israel had to be the one tocomply.
And if the Arabs didn't think orthe Palestinians didn't think he
was 105% done, uh they wouldjust screw around and then blow
it up and blame Israel, and asthe rest of the world has done
for time and time again,Israel's blamed for everything,

(06:13):
which includes a lack of peacein the Middle East.
Israel did not attack on Octoberthe 7th, 2023, or did she
retaliate on October 28, October8th, 2023?
But since October 8th, therehave been screams for ceasefire.
Stuart, like protests instreets, protests in campuses.
Israel hadn't even fired a shotyet.
But Israel was already beinglamb-basted the day after 1,200

(06:36):
were murdered in cold blood.
1,200 people were just takenout, innocent people, men,
women, children, Holocaustsurvivors.
It didn't make a difference.
And I'm bringing that up againbecause it's interesting how
Israel, who you said is wantingtheir, you know, there were 250
plus hostages taken, 48 remain,20 are assumed alive.

(06:59):
Physically, yes,psychologically, the PTSD that
they're gonna suffer and theamount of you know torture
they've endured.
Israelis celebrated on Tuesdaynight the notion that all 48
will come home.
We're hoping that that's gonnahappen.
Israel is not stupid to knowthat you the trust with Hamas,
you can't trust terrorists.
So this is very being brought invery cautiously.

(07:21):
Yet Israelis in the middle ofthe night, Stuart, were calling
each other to come into hostagesquare in Tel Aviv to celebrate
the potential end to this phaseof this horrifying conflict.
And I'm asking myself, where arethe politicians around the world

(07:44):
who only a scant few weeks agoproudly stood at the United
Nations declaring an independentPalestinian state?
What did that get them?
More damage, more death, moredestruction.
That's what that got them.
What did Donald Trump do?
He laid down the arms afterIsrael attacked Hamas's leaders

(08:06):
in Qatar, triggered an a dominoeffect that led us to this week
where all of a sudden Egypt,Turkey, Qatar of all people are
at the table making sure Hamasis there and actually goes first

(08:27):
to return the hostages.
Nothing to happen.
Now there's a ceasefire rightnow.
There is quo, there is relativequiet.
But what Israel was doing wassaying we are not going to do
our part until you return all ofour men, women, and children.
That's incredible.
And that'll happen next week, and the celebrations will be
definite, will be deafening.

(08:48):
But it's interesting, Stuart, because when I went to teach on
you know at McGill this week, first of all, Concordia
University.
I'll give you two examples.
Concordia University, just toshow you what was this week,
October the 7th, was all aboutcelebrating the great
revolution.
According to these haters, itwas all about a rebellion.
This was the day of acelebration.

(09:08):
Could you imagine 9-11?
We talked about this on Monday.
Imagine 9-11 having a holiday incountries.
You'd be you'd be sick.
Could you imagine Americansgoing out in the street parading
with Al-Qaeda flags and Talibanflags, saying, Yay, down to
America?
We're gonna we're gonna take outAmerica on 9-11.
You'd be ill.
Well, that's what these guysdid.

(09:29):
And I'll give you an example inConcordia University, two
parents were allegedly walkingaround, you know, one with a
metal bar and one withincendiary devices.
Well, how is that going to helpPalestinians to burn down or
burn part of it?
They ripped property like youcouldn't imagine.
Same thing in McGill, there wasdamage caused.

(09:51):
Stuart, I was teaching, and itthis damage was being caused,
and I'm sitting there and going,I don't get it.
How does this help thePalestinians?
It doesn't, and instead ofcondemning the actions, quiet.

SPEAKER_00 (10:04):
The people no, it's it's not quiet.
Iran is threatening now, Iran isstarting to threaten again.

SPEAKER_01 (10:11):
So look, Iran on one hand said we're applauding this
because that's what they've beencalling for, and we know there's
a hypocrisy, and I don't give acrap about Iran, AOC, Rashida
Talib.
Oh, come on.
Where?
Hold on, where's Taliban?
I know where you are, I knowwhere you are.

(10:32):
You're in your little homebunkers, saddened today that you
didn't get what you wanted.
Do you want a box Kleenex?
Okay, I could send somethingelse.
Instead, John Fennerman comesout and applauds Donald Trump.
I didn't hear the DemocraticParty, I didn't hear Chuck
Schumer, I didn't hear anything.
You're only caring about thegovernment shutdown, which yeah,
whatever you guys continue to dobecause you need that kind of

(10:52):
publicity.
But a high five to Donald Trump, who did something that no
previous president in 70, 77years of the rebirth of Israel
has been able to accomplish.
It's incredible.
Politicians around the world,quiet.
But instead, the protests havecontinued.
The doubling down on protests ondestroying Israel.

(11:15):
This is the problem, Stuart, isthat the war won't end because
the people who are in thestreets, who are in positions of
power, don't want it to end.
They want the destruction, theywant to see Israel erased off
the map.
This pisses them off that DonaldTrump screwed up with their
plans, which includes littlefucking Carney, which includes

(11:37):
Keir Starmer, which includes allof Macron who've all said, no,
no, no, we're okay with Israel.
No, you're not.
You're clearly not.
And now that Donald Trump hasdone this, it's incredible.
Yes, Donald Trump said the worldcame together.
Great words.
He says this will be the firsttime in 3,000 years that there's
quiet in the Middle East.

(11:58):
No, there isn't.
It's not gonna happen that way.
But I want to tell you, Stuart, the absolute what should be a
day, a step in the rightdirection, is being vilified.
The left hates this.
Where are the gays forPalestine?
Where are you to celebrate?
Nope.
Where's the black Black LivesMatter people who have also put

(12:22):
their who proudly put, if yourecall on October the 7th, they
had the the parachutes and thegliders, they posted it on their
website.
Where are you today to say, yay,we're gonna have peace in the
Middle East?
Palestinians are gonna actuallyare heading towards potentially
their own state.
All of you are conspicuouslyabsent because you're now

(12:44):
disappointed that you didn't getwhat you wanted.
Israel needs to survive.
Stewart listed a whole bunch oftechnologies, ideas, and this
and that.
Israel needs to survive.
One Jewish state in a worldfilled with Christian countries,
Muslim countries, Hindu andBuddhist countries, one Jewish
state.
She has a right to exist.
And her rebirth 77 years agowasn't, you know, only because

(13:06):
of the Holocaust.
It's because Jews deserved ahomeland.
And no, it's not called NewYork.
And you know it's interesting,Stuart, because speaking of New
York, Zorhan Mamdani also all hewants is the intifada, all he
wants is a global intifada.
He wants to see destruction.
He is disappointed.
That little rich bitch isreally, you know, today is so

(13:26):
disappointed because DonaldTrump screwed them all.
And Stuart, I want to tell you,I'm looking forward to seeing
next week the hostages comehome.
I'm scared for them, Stuart, because they're gonna come home
emaciated, like I said, mentallyun God knows what kind of mental
you know status they're in.

(13:47):
But they're gonna be home, andfamilies will have a chance for
closure.
And if you have any ounce ofhumanity in you, people, and all
those people out there who mightbe watching us on social media,
let me give you this message.
If you can't be happy Monday,Tuesday when these hostages are
home, then you need to go fortherapy.
You need to go see apsychiatrist and a psychologist

(14:07):
or a social worker to ask youthe really fundamental
questions.
Are you truly fucked up that youcan't be happy for families to
be reunited after over 735 days?
If that doesn't put somethingwarm into your heart, you're a
cold piece of shit and youdeserve whatever comes your way.

SPEAKER_00 (14:29):
Well, I guess I can't say, David, tell me how
you really feel, but I can'targue with you either on that.
All right, everybody, thatbrings this podcast to a close
