Want to see someone with "Left" leaning beliefs be really uncomfortable - tell them that you want to pray with them. Since the death of Charlie Kirk, more and more conversations about religion and prayer emerged. Many conservatives embrace religion and make it a part of their lives. However, many on the Left view religion and prayer counter to their beliefs. Why are they not embracing these beliefs that have been around nearly forever?

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey everybody, if you're watching this, this is a
prerecorded edition of the RantNetwork, because Stuart and I
currently are in synagogue, because it's the Jewish New Year
, something that Stuart and I,since we have been young, have
kept as a tradition.
None of us are religious, butwe're both traditional
individuals, very proud of ourJewish heritage and come the

(00:22):
Jewish New Year and Yom Kippur, our days are sacred, in which we
become more devout, we getcloser to God.
That is our choice and no onehas forced us into it.
It's just something that formany generations our parents,
grandparents, forefathers, youname it have been doing it.
But suddenly in the last numberof years in the Western society

(00:47):
, religion is bad Trust in God.
Prayer, how dare you?
And in light of recent eventsit's just come straight to the
fore.
Welcome back everybody to theRant Network.
I'm David Solomon.
This pre-recorded edition ofthe Rant Network, which we do
every Monday, wednesday, Fridaynoon Eastern.
These are rants about crazinessof life, politics, culture and

(01:08):
so much more.
We welcome your comments andfeedback on things that we say
here, because we are going tovoice the stuff that generally
is not really spoken at manydining room tables anymore,
although if you did do it lastnight at your Osheshena table.
Kudos to you.
So sit back on our Wednesdayedition of the Rant Network.
You know, stuart, I'm going totell you I watched on Sunday

(01:32):
night parts of the Charlie KirkMemorial and, except for Donald
Trump, almost every speaker wentin about their faith and their
devotion to God.
I mean Erica Kirk so much asforgave the shooter, as a good
Christian, and so on and so onand so on.
And you know, if you just satback and watched it, you were

(01:55):
like you were amazed by thepeople's dedication and devotion
to their identity, theirreligion and their belief in God
, religion and their belief inGod.
Then, if you read the commentsposted by folks on the left how
dare they keep they're notseparating church and state and,
by the way, not just in theUnited States, even in Canada
remarks by journalists thatwhatever happened to you know,

(02:18):
keeping religion out of politicsand your beliefs and whatever.
I find it fascinating how moreand more of the left wants to
turn religion into part of likeit's a hate speech all of a
sudden.
You can't talk about religion.
How dare you bring God in it?
I mean, stuart, I'm sickened bya group of people who've

(02:41):
decided to tell me how I shouldrun my life.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Well, okay, let's start this off.
If you want to understandreligion control as a state,
enforcement as an ideology, thetheocrats and the social
progressives sort of clash andthe social progressives sort of
clash, because you know it's nodifferent than the battle of,

(03:09):
you know, the, I guess, theantifata in the world.
Believe it or not, it'sactually very similar in nature.
Church and state.
Well, it's not church and state, it's the church versus
something other than the church, because, remember, the rules of

(03:30):
the church is what they'rearguing against.
They don't want you to havethose morals and values.
Like again, concerns aboutsocial policy.
Right, certain religioustraditions historically oppose
abortion, same-sex marriage, gender equality, and the left
wants to be the champion ofsomething other than the church.

(03:50):
They emphasis on pluralism.
David always seems to criticizeme because I try and hook these
things up to communism.
Pluralism is basically theemphasis of communism.
It's not about you, it's aboutus.

(04:11):
It's not your children, they'reour children.
It's not your country, it's ourcountry.
It's not your job, it's our job.
It's not your money, it's ourmoney.
You hear the similarities,david.
That's the emphasis ofpluralism.
It's science versus faith, overand over and over again.

(04:37):
But the science that they wantto preach isn't the science of
the world, it's the science thatopposes the church.
Now it's historical skepticismthat drives this even further.
Every single wedge, whetherit's George Floyd, whether it's
LBDQIA, whether it's LBDQIA,whether it's girls and men's

(05:02):
sports, men's and girls' sports,it's something to draw a wedge.
It's a historical, known fact.
They have to have a cause torip you away from what you
deemed as normal, and that'swhat's been going on.
I found Sunday a very solemn day.
I found it really like anevangelist Sunday church going.

(05:27):
It was the guy's eulogy and itwas a little over the top, and I
get it.
It is his eulogy that had closeto 100,000 people.
I don't know who had 100,000people at their memorial, but I
don't think I can name any offthe top of my hand who had

(05:48):
nearly as many people.
But this was not a day of thecountry, it was a day of a man's
eulogy and he was a devoutChristian.
So do I find it a little overthe top?
Yes, is there checks andbalances?
Yes, do I want my kid going toschool learning about Jesus

(06:11):
Christ?
No, not more than the surfacestuff.
Do you want your kid learningabout Buddhism, hinduism?
Yeah, a little.
So they are aware.
Being aware allows the abilityto connect, but the left doesn't
want you to connect.
It's not universal.

(06:32):
You can't believe this and youbelieve that, and us be able to
control the center.
This is all about control,david.
Really, truly, look, break itdown by numbers.
What is the point of themwanting to remove church or God
in country?
They want to remove God incountry because they want to be

(06:54):
the God.
They don't want Christian, judaism or Muslim gods.
They want to be the God.
They want to be the kings, andthe only way they're going to
get this country to kingship isby removing God.
God is their obstacle.
And you know what?
If they're allowing otherpeople to help facilitate it the

(07:17):
Soruses of the world, theRothschilds of the world, the
ones that are sponsoring most ofall of this it is never going
to stop, david.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Stuart.
So I heard what you just saidand I can't disagree with you
entirely, because you know it'sabout control hundred percent.
But let's go one more step.
Shall we stewart what you knowlike when you think about
religion?
What does religion promote?
Family values?

Speaker 2 (07:51):
no, no different family values, the family values
that the left doesn't want youto have.
They don't want a family bydefinition mother, father,
sister, brother.
That's the problem.
They're not your children name.
They don't want family.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
It's the opposite they want to remove family so,
like I was trying to get at,they don't like the idea of a
heteronormal family, as you liketo just call it.
They don't want to hear thosetype of things because then it
busts all of their philosophies.
They don't want you to believein it.
You said it.

(08:28):
The deity that they want to beis them.
They are the gods.
They're the ones who want.
They want to be the ones thatyou pray to, not some priest,
right, what is it?
And when I say the church, it'sthe Catholic church, because
you have other churches thathave different philosophies, but

(08:50):
they try to convince you thatreligion is anti-gay.
I'm not saying that religionsdon't have that part of it, but
even Jewish Orthodox Jewry, who's been really stuck on this
question, is moved.
It's moved away from this wholenotion of you know.
Oh my God, I got to excludepeople because too many people.
You know there are Orthodoxsynagogues who are welcoming

(09:13):
LGBTQIA members into theircommunity and I've experienced
it firsthand, stuart, okay, herein Montreal.
So to say that they're anti-gayis just part of the mantra,
because if you create thatopenness of religion, then
they're going to walk away fromthe left.
Same thing with abortion AllCatholics, all religious people,

(09:33):
are anti-abortion.
Listen, I have my philosophy onabortion.
I'm not an anti-abortionist.
Do I believe it should be usedfor contraception?
No, but that's my belief.
But the left is trying to tellme how I'm supposed to take a
piss, how I'm supposed to act,how I'm supposed to behave, who
I'm supposed to pray to, who I'msupposed to listen to.

(09:55):
Okay, it's so anti-religion,it's so anti what the essence of
that religion is saying.
Listen, I don't care if I'mJewish, catholic or other
religions To say to me yourfamily construct is bad.
Who are you to tell me this?

(10:15):
Who are you to tell me that myfamily construct is bad?
Who are you to tell me that Ishould believe in pro-life or
pro-abortion?
Who are you to tell me that Ishould?
It's just fascinating.
You know what the left has doneand, as I'm, you know, I know
this is going to be playingwhile I'm sitting in synagogue

(10:35):
and I want to tell you something.
Stuart, let me tell you a littlebit.
I'll give you a little personalinsight.
Again, I'm not a religiousperson, but on these times,
during this time, I sit and Ireflect, because many of the
prayers that I'm reading and Iwelcome you folks, if you
haven't had a chance, read it inEnglish.
Okay, I know Hebrew iscomplicated and Hebrew you may

(10:56):
not know, but read the Englishand you tell me in some of these
prayers, does it not make youthink?
Does it not make you questioncertain things?
Does it not make you appreciatelife?
I mean, one of the things thatwe do is we pray for people's
health.
We pray for people's you knowwell-being.
We pray for people's health.
We pray for people's you knowwell-being.
We pray for a better business.
We pray for our family, andthat's bad that's bad.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
well, david, it's bad because the abolishment of
family is the radical ideas thatwe, with Marx and Engels and
anything, david, it is by far.
They critique the traditionalnuclear family, which is the
Judeo-Christian foundation andit's not the Catholic Church in

(11:46):
the sense.
That was Sunday, it was theChristians, they're not
Catholics, and I'm talking aboutthe diverse family by promoting
a diverse family structure.
it's because you want to abolishthe nuclear family and the
concept of it, and the economicanalysis of a family issue from

(12:08):
the left is anti-capitalistic bydesign, and that is why when
you and I go to synagogue andpray and our friends that are
Christians and our friends thatare Muslims that go and pray at
their respective centers, andthey are against it.
And the only reason why they'reagainst it because it provides

(12:30):
a safety net.
It provides for a place wherethere are like-minded morals and
values that are not the samethat they want.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
Look, stuart, there's no doubt about it, you're right
, the left doesn't want you tolisten to somebody else.
You talked about communism, which is a very controlling like
, like everything else, and andit's going to, they're going to.
They want to tell you how tolive your life and they're not
going to tell you for yourembitterment, because I got to
tell you something when, whenyou are grieving, who do you go

(13:04):
to?
They want you to go to atherapist, some paid therapist
who you hardly knows.
You.
You're going to pay a lot ofmoney and is going to rely upon
some philosophy Wonderful, okay.
But you know, your priest, yourrabbi, your imam, your
spiritual leader, has adifferent perspective, and it's

(13:26):
not a wrong perspective.
But the left won't let you gothere because they are going to
propose oh, they're going topush faith on you Believe in God
.
That's a bad thing.
I don't know why is that a badthing?
It's because it counters theleft's philosophy on how life
should be.
They're about chaos, wherereligion is about order.

(13:48):
Order.
They're about, you know, angerand violence.
When, if you look at the rightnow, what religion is supposed?
Most religions promote peace?
And I know you're going toargue with me about Islam.
But even if you take some ofthe imams they're talking about,
like, it's just fascinating tome how the left is so critical

(14:12):
of how you and I live our lives, but yet their lives are shit.
Look what they're promoting.
Listen, if you're going to tellme that we're not, I'm not here
to say to you that being asingle parent is a bad thing.
It's an unfortunate situation.
Okay, for some people it'sunfortunate.
For some people it's a choice.
I'm not saying it's good andI'm not saying it's bad.

(14:32):
It's a choice, it's acircumstance.
A lot of these things, you knowit is what it's going to be,
and the beauty of community andthe beauty of your religion is
that you have a community ofpeople that want to help you and
support you.
What the left is saying is no,no, no.
Don't go to these people, go tous, we're going to take care of

(14:53):
you.
In what?
Maintaining poverty,maintaining ignorance,
maintaining this anger that theworld is against you?
There's no positivity here, andthat's the thing that when
you're sitting down in yourwhether it's a Sunday service or
a Friday service or a holidayservice, it doesn't make a

(15:14):
difference, a Sabbath service, Idon't care.
There's peace, there's serenity, there is hope, there's
positivity, but the left onlytheir minds over this.

(15:38):
What was the big deal of amoment of prayer for 60 goddamn
seconds?

Speaker 2 (15:44):
That's to show you how messed up the left is David
and, on that note, if you arestill here, and it was Rosh
Hashanah we thank you forjoining in and listening, but,
david, I think we need to bringthis to a wrap.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Ladies and gentlemen, for those of you who are
celebrating the new year, wewant to wish you, Shana Tova,
happy and healthy new year.
May it be filled with health, happiness, success and peace.
And even if you're notcelebrating, we wish you the
same and we look forward toseeing you on the other side of
our new year, on Friday.
Take care everyone.
