This was kind of a different one.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Yeah, this was the top ten movies of the nineteen eighties,
year by year.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Yes, it was fun.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Val and I pretty much bitched our way through the
whole thing.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Were like, we poop poo this.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
We did.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
What a critics know, We know better.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
But here we go, recapping the show for eighteenth, the
three hundred and twenty second day of the year. Forty
three days remain. Three days until we start playing Christmas
music Friday.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Oh my god, midnight's coming up so fast.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Nine days until Thanksgiving.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Twenty days until our very ends of Christmas show, and
we'll have more tickets to give away tomorrow. Thirty seven
days to Christmas. Today's apple cider day and apparently that
likes apple cider.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
I would drink it every day. Although I had a
jug of it in my fridge for a while and
I drank some over the weekend. It was like, ooh,
this is turning. It's a little vinegary, so don't leave.
I usually don't. It doesn't usually last that long for me.
But I think I was rationing it because I love it.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
So you want to hear something really strange, is like
I apple cider. I have to get in the mood
for it to be honest with.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Do you like apple juice? Eh?

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Yeah, I'll drink it if.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
There is different Yeah, yeah, I agree. Both my wife
and I do not like apple juice. All of a sudden,
like a gallon of apple juice appeared in the house
and she's like, did you buy it? I'm like no,
she didn't buy it.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
That's weird.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
We had it like a drive by apple juice person.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
That's really weird. Is anyone in your house? Did you
have a real.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Even asked her daughter who stopped by, did you buy it?
And she's like, no, I don't like apple juice. It
just appeared one.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Day, huh.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
It was the weirdest thing.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
So are you going to drink it?

Speaker 4 (02:37):
No?

Speaker 1 (02:39):
You know what, I think it's still I think it's
still around. No, I'm not gonna. I don't like it.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
It's the weirdest thing. Are married to a Scorpio Support Day?
I'm married to a pissy, so I'm scorpios. Don't tick
off a scorpio. You don't want to do that. Mickey
Mouse Day, National Entrepreneur's Day, National Princess Day, National vhy Saw.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Day, which I would probably like. I didn't know what
it was.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
Of potato soup and has like leaks and onions and cream.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Yeah, sounds yummy.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
It's it's it's good. It's a good you know. I
kind of like more party soups.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Oh yeah with him and bean Yeah, oh good, good
stew beef stew.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
H We eat a lot of taco soup, which is like,
you know, ground beefing and stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Something sticks to your ribs.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
A Cult Day, Push Button Phone Day, and William Tell
Day and Day number three for the Roadbary trivia question
coming up after this comedy cut from ian Bag.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Ian Bag, I'm trying to fight everybody in here right now.
I've been married for two years, so I've probably been
married longer to anybody else in here. So if you
have any questions, I'll answer them. Anybody married longer than
two years?

Speaker 1 (04:04):
All right? That's that? How long I'm married?

Speaker 4 (04:05):
How long married? Up there?

Speaker 1 (04:06):
I don't have much time. You gotta answer these questions.
What's that? Oh? Twenty six? My god? That is awesome?

Speaker 4 (04:11):
How do you guys keep it fresh?

Speaker 1 (04:12):
You ever?

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Just switch teeth and look at each other.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Let me just do that. He'd try mine.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
Okay, I'm you.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Let's go for steak.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
I've got the good teeth.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
You said, he's uh, he's gonna be at the improv
this weekend.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Yeah, and you've you've seen him.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
I've seen him many many times. He's very funny.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
I've never seen him live.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
You should go see him?

Speaker 1 (04:40):
All right? Where are we? Day three? For the trivia question?
Good morning? Who's this tony dude? How the heck are
you toe by?

Speaker 2 (04:49):
How are you are?

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Y'all? Good? All right, buddy?

Speaker 3 (04:52):
This popular product's been around for decades was named after
our inventor's male coworker named the.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Product Bunsen Burger. Yes, somebody said that yesterday. Sorry? Eight
five five three three three ninety four five. Oh what
you got?

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Hey, Johnny?

Speaker 1 (05:06):
How an android device? Not the answer I'm looking for? Sorry?
Good morning? Who's this? Mister clean? You're mister clean?

Speaker 2 (05:15):
All right?

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Your answers mister clean? Yes, no, sorry, mister clean, you're
not the answer.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Good morning? Who's this? It's all so? What do you got? So?
Hula hoop?

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Hula hoop? It doesn't sound like any name. I can
recognize it.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
It's stay three more. I'm thinking spot toilet paper. No,
not it, sorry on it? Okay, all right, let's take
two more. My guess is I'm gonna say Eminem's candy. No,

Speaker 4 (05:54):

Speaker 1 (05:54):

Speaker 3 (05:57):

number four tomorrowsy roll.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Is not the answer. Oh well, tie in, bud, thank you?
All right? No winner today? Do you have a guess?

Speaker 2 (06:13):
The big Mac?

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Oh? That's good, but nope not its what's most important
to me? News updates? You?

Speaker 2 (06:20):
News news updates?

Speaker 1 (06:21):
I like the local news. What's going down?

Speaker 2 (06:24):
If you're talking about the question and you see me
randomly scurrying to write something down, it's because an answer
popped into my head, and I don't want to forget it.
I don't even know how this happens. A twenty two
year old man is in critical condition in Greece after
attempting to swallow a burger hole. The ambitious eater, whose
name has not been released, made the attempt during a

(06:46):
meal with friends late last week and has since been
placed on a ventilator. He reportedly stopped breathing for two
minutes and his airway was obstructed, leading to severe complications
affecting his brain, his kidneys, and other organs. I don't
even know how you try to do that, or how
you get far enough in the process, how to get

(07:07):
stuck in your throat.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
I've done enough stupid things like that that I completely
understand crazy.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
This is why men don't live as long as women.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
And this is why men need women to civilize them.
This is a good news story. A new study suggests
that regularly listening to music is linked to a lower
risk of developing dementia. And the study, people who listen
to music most days slash their risk of developing dementia
by thirty nine percent compared with those who did not

(07:38):
regularly listen to music. Joe Anne Ryan is head of
the Biological Neuropsychiatry and Dementia Research Unit in the School
of Public Health at Manash University and the senior researcher
on this new study, and says that while the study
isn't definitive, she says she's not taking any chances. She says,
I've started listening to music more than I was. I

(07:59):
would encourage people to be listening to music because if
it's something they take pleasure from and it's also stimulating
the brain, why not.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
We do it five hours a day.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Yes, yeah, so we should be good.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Finally, an auto shop in Grimes, Iowa, was giving refurbished
cars to veterans through its Jumpstart program. Clint Dudley is
the owner of Shade Tree Auto, says the goal is
to give somebody a jump start up to a better
level within their lives and not just fix something temporarily.
The program uses donated cars, parts from local vendors, and

(08:32):
free labor from the shop's crew to make it all happen.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Well. Speaking of cars, I hit a deer over the weekend.
It caused almost well over fourteen thousand dollars and it
was just the Hood and the Grill the front end
fourteen hours is crazy. Sorry, all right, let's do this,

(08:57):
all right. OS magazine recently compared their list of the
best movies of each year of the nineteen eighties, which
some say is the best decade for movies. That's debatable,
but here we go. Nineteen eighty what movie Raging Bull?

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Did you see it?

Speaker 2 (09:13):
I did not.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
It's a great movie, and it's a tough one to
get through. I can't argue that that isn't the best
movie of the.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Year, but it was nominated for Best Picture but lost
to Ordinary People.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
The Story of Jake Lamata was directed by Martin Scorsese.
A great movie. I went with Airplane, which is one
of the greatest movies ever. If there was ever a
movie that deserved to be in the Oscars as far
as comedy.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
It's that one. It's a perfect movie.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
It's pretty classic.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Nineteen eighty one Chariots of Fire. Never seen it?

Speaker 2 (09:49):
I don't think I have either.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
It's what movie did you go with?

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Raiders of the Lasted Too?

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Did We Just Become Best Friends? Nineteen eighty two?

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Eighty I would I would stick with that one.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
See, I don't think it holds up anymore.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Oh, I would stick with that one.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
I loved it back in the day. I went with
Blade Runner, which is one of my favorite movies of
all time. Nineteen eighty three, the right stuff. I'm sticking
with it. It's a great movie.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Another one I don't think i've ever seen.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
It's a it's a really good it's a dude movie.
It's an absolute dude movie. Nineteen eighty four.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Uh Amma Dais, which I also did not see.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Really, Nope, it's a perfect film.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
I've got to say that was one of the best
movies of the eighties. So I'm sticking with it. So really, so,
what movie did you go.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
With nineteen eighty four? I said, Now, I will say
some of the movies I put on my list for
the because you asked me to do the first five
years I didn't do. All the years are movies I loved,
maybe not necessarily the greatest of all time. Okay, but
nineteen eighty four I chose Beverly Hills Cop.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
That's a good one. That's a good one. That's a
good one. But I do like Amadae.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
So so we're up to eighty five and the movie.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Is uh I never heard of it until this article ran.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
It's fake. No, it's actually it's a foreign film. Nobody's
ever heard of.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
It won three Oscars.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
I'd never heard of the film before me either. What
movies are you going to go with?

Speaker 2 (11:22):
The Breakfast cl Yes?

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Me too, Yeah, I mean come on. Eighty six was Platoon?
Pretty good? It won the Best Picture winner? I think
I saw it once in the theater and never watched
it again.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
I'm gonna stick with Platoon.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
I went with Aliens, which is in my top five
movies of all time?

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Eighty seven Broadcast News.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
I saw it, it was okay, Who's I liked it all.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Right, but that wasn't my pick. I would have picked
the Untouchables.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
I went with Good Morning Vietnam.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Yeah, yeah, that was that year.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Two nineteen eighty eight? Who framed Roger Rabbit? I didn't
particularly care for that movie? Yeah? What movie did you
go with? Big? I went with Diehard?

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Yeah, well, he's a guy movie.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Eighty nine.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Glory was the movie that they said was the best.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
Denzel Washington pretty good movie?

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Pretty good? What movie did you go with?

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Christmas Vacation?

Speaker 1 (12:20):
So did I?

Speaker 2 (12:22):
We picked a.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Lot of like we just become best friends.
