And remember when like the J. C. Penny or the
Series catalog came before Christmas. Oh my god, it was
the best.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
I would rip out pages. I would have a list
I would have like I would I would. I would
get the catalog and then i'd you know, pull out
the rip the pages out of the toys that I wanted,
and then I would make like a little book with staple. Yes,
it's like, you know, rather than going through the whole catalog,
I make it easier on you.

did ye remember Children's Palace?
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yes, there was a Children's Palace on McKnight Road. And
every time we came to a Pirates game because then
there was no interstate, like you had to go down
Route eight and McKnight road. And I wanted to go
to Children's Palace too, every time never went.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Never. I never set foot in that store either. That
is so funny. That is so funny, cruel.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
We would go to parents.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
I mean like, hey, and you know every once in
a while the day, well maybe if it's open on
the way home.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
Well it's never open.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Yes, it's never open. Oh, that is so funny. And
you would see the commercials on television. You're like, oh
my god, that's that's paradise.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Yeah, because they didn't have this sounds so crazy. They
didn't have a mall in the Franklin area until I
was in high school. Like, if we wanted to go
to the mall, we had to go to We always
went to Erie, Okay, never Pittsburgh, although my church took
a bus trip to Century three mall.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Ones we didn't have a mall. I had Kenny Wilson's
five and dime. That's that's all.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yeah, we had that was. That was our mall, woolworths.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Uh oh, aren't you fancy?
Speaker 2 (04:58):
It was either Woolworth Woolworth or a Murphy's in Franklin.
And then the other one was in Oil City.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Wow, you had two.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Okay, we were the county seat, buddy, we were big time.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Oh yeah. We had Kenny Wilson's. And then we had
Jim Millers, which was another five and dimes. We had
three five and dimes, and then.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
We had see you had something going on there well.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
And we had two grocery stores. You had m Andem
Market and then Golden Dawn.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
I think we only had one Riverside.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
We get a lot of food up there. A new woman.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
Well, there's a lot of farmers over there. You need
to have hardy bodies.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
All right, stick around. We've got day number six for
the Robroy trivia question coming up.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
I hope I haven't offend anybody. I just that's my

Speaker 2 (05:50):
I don't want to do that.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
I hate conflict unless you guys like it, and then
I like, where are you?
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Like?
Speaker 3 (06:00):
I'm so careful with my words that I don't even
say things that you can say. I like, all right,
I was on an airplane recently and I sat down
next to the scale and she tapped me on the
shoulder and she goes, pardon me. She goes, but my
name is Tanisha, and she goes, I'm a big fan
of your stand up comedy.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
And I was like, oh my god, Tanisha, thank you.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
And she goes and wow, I watch all your videos
on Instagram and TikTok and she goes, wow, you do
wear black T shirts every single day? And I said, yes,
I do wear this colored T shirt everywhere. And she laughed,
like you did, and she goes, you know you can
say black, and I go, I know, and I know
(06:42):
you know, and she's laughing.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
She will say it.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
She goes, stay black.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
And I was like, well, I wouldn't say it like that.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
She goes say it.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
And I was like, I'm gonna she goes say it.
I go black history monk.

number six for the Rodory trivia question. Let's see if
we can get a winner here. You're ready, let's do it.
Good morning. Who's this Peggy? Peggy? How was your weekend?
(07:49):
It was not long enough?
Speaker 2 (07:51):
Right?
Speaker 1 (07:52):
This is true? All right? Roadroy Trivia question, Day number six.
What specifically does it cotton candy, a donut and a
margaret to have in common.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Name? For what dances? Dances?
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Not dances?
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Now it's a creative answer, it is, but not it?
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Four? One, two, three, three, three ninety four or five?
Oh your turn? Hey? How about flavors of Ben and
Jerry's ice cream? Nice tray? But not it? Okay, look,
get up. It's a good answer. But I guess that's
the answer you're looking for. Yeah, correct, greatest Yeah, well
you're the greatest of and listen to you for a
long time.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
Thanks so much. I really appreciate that.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Maybe the greatest vowel. You're the greatest. Johnny's a schmuck,
he comes up with these stupid us, you too, Johnny,
so souls back. All right, specifically, what does cotton candy,
a donut, and a margarita have in common? Saw?
Speaker 2 (08:49):
They all cause diabies? Well, that may be correct.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
They don't help. They certainly don't help. But that's not
the answer I'm looking for us all Let's take three more.
Go ahead. Yeah, I was thinking maybe their taste that
you can come on them. You can have caught and
candy flavored margarita or yeah, nothing like that. Nothing. This is.
(09:13):
This is a much simpler answer. Okay, already, thank you,
Thank you too. Want ago? What you got alcohol? I don't.
I don't know what kind of donuts you eat, but
bring some over nice. Let's go to Angela. You're the
last call I take today. What you got? All right?
I don't know if anybody said this because I haven't
been listening, but they all have a twist, A twist
(09:37):
A twist? H is she saying? Twist?
Speaker 2 (09:40):
I think so, like a twist of lemon or a
donuts and a twist. We're grid a martini with a twist.
Well it margarita?
Speaker 1 (09:49):
No, are you making some fancy margarita? Is there? But
no mar not it? Okay? All right, all right? Now,
do you have a guest or do you have question
for me?
Speaker 2 (10:03):
I have a guess, but it's wrong. They're banned in Russia.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
No no, no, no, no, nope, there's still no entner.
What's most important to me? News updates? Not for news,
news updates. I like the local news. All right, what's happening?
Speaker 2 (10:20):
A recent survey found a majority of Americans believe even
moderate alcohol consumption is bad for your health, so skip
the margarita infused donuts. The Gallop Pole found the number
of adults who said they drink booze to be at
an all time low since the poll's inception in nineteen
thirty nine. The survey found fifty four percent of Americans
(10:41):
report drinking alcohol occasionally, which is down from sixty percent
as recently as twenty twenty three. The survey also found
those who said they do drink reported consuming an average
of about two point eight drinks in the last week.
According to Gallup, that is the lowest the Pole has
recorded in nearly thirty years and another story about booze
(11:03):
from the weekend, limiting it is good for your blood pressure.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
All right, I got a question for you. How often
do you do you have what's your weekly average.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Of weekly average? Well, during my divorce it was every night.
Now it's not very often, like not even weekly.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
I tell you how you bought us a bottle of mescato.
We just broke it open, and wow, that's now Janis's
favorite drink. She was like, oh, tell val it's amazing.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Yeah, yeah, Piscatto's probably one of my favorites. It's definitely
one of my favorites.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
So she she rarely drinks too, so, but she did
have a couple of glasses of muscato this past weekend.
But that's I didn't have anything. I didn't have anything.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
Yeah, I don't.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Now, I've got a vacation coming up in a couple.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
That's different.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
I that is way different.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
That's vacation drinking. That doesn't count.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
It doesn't go okay, good.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Have you heard of the love languages?
Speaker 1 (12:03):
Yes, I have.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
There are five, and they are the different ways people
prefer to give and receive love in a relationship. So
they are words of affirmation, quality time, physical touch, acts
of service, and receiving gifts like them all. New research
finds more than half of Americans say their love language
is cleaning, which I would say probably is an active service.
(12:27):
But the shore that many of us put off doing
may actually affect our love lives. According to a new
survey of one thousand adults from seventh generation, it finds
cleaning can be a turn on and those who never
do it, that's a big turn off.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Yeah, okay.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
While we may not want to clean our own homes,
eighty five percent of American sea cleaning up for someone
else as an act of love. Three quarters say sharing
chores is more romantic than giving gifts.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
And we do. That's us. We definitely share.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
That's good. If you really want to impress your sweetie,
start with the dishes. According to two thirds, having a
partner do the dishes without being asked is more romantic
than getting a dozen roses.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
I agree, Well, here's the thing is I do the cooking,
she does the cleanup. So that's our deal. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
Yeah. Some people never dust or vacuum. That can be
bad for romance. Is Nearly two and three say they
are turned off by someone or have been turned off
because their house was messy. Rock hard six pack abs
maybe appealing, but respondents are four times more likely to
(13:37):
appreciate a clean house than someone who goes to the
gym all the time. Probably yeah, and eight times more
likely to prefer a partner with a clean home than
one with a fancy car.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
If you bring home a six pack, that's that's different.
All right, Here we go, Date number five for Annie
braincrusher hurt Wells. Who sings it? Definitely a well known
three W West artist before they hit it big. If
you can tell me who sings it, you get your
choice either yacht Rock Review tickets or tickets for the
(14:11):
Women's College Volleyball Showcase at PBG Paints Arena. All right,
let's give this a listen again. I apologize for the
sound quality. It's just that this is a very old recording.
I dug up. So all right, val, do you have
any Do you have a guest for us today?
Speaker 2 (14:31):
Skinnered?
Speaker 1 (14:32):
Skinnered? It's not skinnered? All right? Got a guess? Four one, two, three, three,
three ninety four five of them? Three ws. Let's go
to Bob. Good morning, sir, how are you not too bad?
(14:53):
All right? Day? Number five for the who sings it?

it's not in English. It's an American band. They're in
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. While he is
it's one of the singers of a well known band. Okay, okay,
all right, so all right, thank you? All right. Now,
(15:49):
do you have another guest or do you have a
question that may help the listener?
Speaker 2 (15:54):
I'll ask a question. Okay, is is the band from California?
Speaker 1 (16:02):
I'm gonna say yes with some.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
Caveats, so some of the members are from California? Yes?
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Does that help?
Speaker 3 (16:10):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (16:11):
No, not really?
Speaker 1 (16:17):
That's why you're great? And how much fun.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
Let's see cross that one off, cross that one off?
Speaker 1 (16:21):
What are some of those? Somebody?
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Letty Money, Ario Speedwagon, the Beach Boys, nopem. Okay, I
have one left. I'm gonna save it.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Okay, I say it for tomorrow, all right?
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Okay, because I'm not. I don't think that's the right
answer either, but all right.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
