It's a made up word, but it does right with

eleventh like loomed this year. I didn't even really kind

(02:30):
of think about it until like the day before, Like yes, yeah,
the two hundred and fifty fourth day of the year.
One hundred eleven days remained. Three days until the Steelers
first home game against the Seattle Sea Snakes. We have
tickets to give away to Sea Monsters. We have tickets
to give away for the game coming up tomorrow after
nine o'clock. Eight days until the iHeartRadio Music Festival, eleven

(02:53):
days till the first day of fall, seventeen days until
Valve's birthday. I hope you wrote that on the calendar,
circled it with the big red letters. One hundred and
eight days until Christmas. Today is Patriot Day, National Know
News is Good News Day, Yes, National Day of Service
and Remembrance, National Emergency Responders Day, and we have a

It's also I want to start my own business Day.
And you say you come up with business ideas.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
All the time. I've wanted to start my own business
for like fifteen years.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
It is so amazing how you and my wife are
so alike. She always comes up with these like, Oh,
wouldn't it be great if we did this We had like,
you know, if we won the lottery, we should do
this business.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Well, a lottery, what are you doing?

Speaker 2 (03:40):
A bit exactly That's what I said. If we went
in the lottery, we're not going into business. We're on
the beach somewhere. Three hundred and sixty five days make
your own bed day?

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Would you ever make my bed?

Speaker 2 (03:53):
You don't.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Nope.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
I used to, but now I'm the second one out,
so Janis always makes the bed.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
You're the first one up.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
I'm the first one up. Yeah? What did I say?
Last one? Yeah, it's so early it could be first
to last. I don't know what's going on. National Hot
Cross bun Day, Women's Baseball Day. Did you ever play baseball?

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Ever played sports?

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Never?

Speaker 1 (04:13):
I was not athletically inclined in any way.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Really No.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
I loved to bowl, but I don't really consider that aside.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Again, that's another sport that Janie, my wife, and I.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Love to hit golf balls like I love to go
to the driving range. I absolutely hate to golf.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
I hate the golf too, but I it's funny ages ago.
I used to be a bowling coach for the Special Olympics.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Yeah, I was too.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
The crazy part is I remember going to bowl. I
was coach and I was the worst bowler on our team.
Used to make fun of me. Another gutter ball.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Thanks coach, we would have won if it wasn't for you.
All right, we got day number eighteen for trivia question
coming up? But now a comedy cut from Pete Holmes.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
My daughter's right about everything too. She calls chopsticks chompsticks.
That was right there, that's correct. You don't chomp with them,
you chomped with them. She calls porcupines pocupines. That's two
for two, baby girl. They poke you, they don't pork you.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
They don't park you, all right. Joe McClellan's Contracting and
Roofing Community Cookout in Ambridge coming up Tomorrow night, September twelfth,

Don't miss it. Nice They number eighteen for the trivia question.

(06:11):
Good morning, Who's this?

Speaker 1 (06:13):
This is Jenny?

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Jenny Jenny, Jenny, did you listen to our podcast? Now?
Stupid podcast? All right? What specifically does cotton candy, a donut,
and a margarita have in common?

Speaker 1 (06:27):
I think before you devour them, they all start with
you using your time.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Like No, no, no, nothing like that at all. No. Nothing, oh,
nothing that complicated. Yeah, it's not that complicated. All right,
you can the answer is like one word. Okay, all right, Jenny?
Are you mad at me?

Speaker 1 (06:53):
I mean, I'm not. I had.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
So you could say, yes, yeah, I'm mad at you, Johnny,
I'm mad mad at you? Well, I love you, Jenny.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
The crowd returning on you.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
That's all right, that's all right. I can have a
great day you too. Good morning. Who's this Hey? This
is Karen Krene. Did you listen to our podcast? No?
I did not, of course, not stupid podcast. Who would
listen to that stupid thing? What does what specifically does
cotton candy, of donut, and a margarita have in common? No,

(07:31):
has nothing to do with the way it's spelled, any
of the words, the way they're spelled.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
That's a creative answer, though.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
That is true. There's tea's in all the words, but
but not not the answer. All right, well, thank god,
she's mad at me too. You're mad at me?

Speaker 3 (07:46):
Are you?

Speaker 2 (07:49):
I know that?

Speaker 1 (07:52):
All right?

Speaker 2 (07:52):
See, let's take three more.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Very nutritional vailue. Okay but not really, not really. Why
the lime juice in the margarita?

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Uh? Yeah? You think you think this margarita has lime juice? Then? Huh?

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Okay, well I never had one though I looked up.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Okay, well not this margarita. There's no lime juice in
this margarita. Oh so it's right then, No, it's right.
You're not going to convince me that this is right. Okay, okay,
got nothing better for you? Bye more? Oh god, now.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
Try again, CORTZP try again, quart syrup.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
No, no, nothing like that at all. Good morning. Who's this, Angela?
You're the last calling and take today what you got?

Speaker 1 (08:53):
Well, I don't seem to be a genius, but I'm
going to say a stick a stick? Yeah, stick, candies
on a stick.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
There's a starring stick and a margarita and donuts come
on a stick. You're working with hate too hard, Angela?

Speaker 1 (09:09):
And you said it was something you hold.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
I'll try it keep drying. Thanks, good to talk to
you all. Have a good day. All right, no winter
again today.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
I like that one guy who was just kind of like,
all right, goodbye.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Sugar. I thought we're done with the syrup. Thought we're
done with the sugars. What's your favorite do? What's your
favorite fruit?

Speaker 1 (09:31):
My favorite fruit? Huh, apples? What's your favorite fruit?

Speaker 2 (09:39):
You know, my favorite? What's my favorite? What's my favorite fruit?

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Peaches?

Speaker 2 (09:45):
What's the most important to me? News updates?

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Natural news, news updates.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
I like all the local news. Mangoes.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
How's that song?

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Go?

Speaker 1 (09:54):
I can't remember it. I can't move.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Into the country.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Eat a lot of peaches.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Not my favorite fruit. It's mangoes. No, but I'll accept
pea hanggo bango, Yeah, all right, dango django. Okay.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
What's going on today is nine to eleven, and the
victims of the terror attacks are being remembered twenty four
years later. The annual rememberance ceremony will take place today
in Lower Manhattan at the nine to eleven Memorial, where
family members of victims will read names of the nearly
three thousand people killed on September eleventh, two thousand and one,

(10:34):
as well as those killed in the nineteen ninety three
World Trade Center bombing. Ceremonies will also be held in
nearby Shanksville at the Flight ninety three Memorial as well
as at the Pentagon, and many communities around the country
will honor and remember victims all day today as well.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
And you said on the air that you never went
to New York City to see the memorial.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Now it is.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
It is breathtaking, it is I want to go.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
It is.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
And you're right on the air that somebody mentioned to
you that if you go, don't plan anything afterwards because
you're emotionally. Have you been to Shanksville.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
I've been there, but it was towards like the end
of the pandemic lockdowns, so you couldn't listen to any
like the one thing you can listen to the phone calls,
and you couldn't do that.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
I've been there a couple of times, and it's and
it's moving. It is moving. The one in New York
City is just it's like it's yeah, it's a whole
different level of motion.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
I always make sure on nine to eleven, Oh my gosh,
I'm getting emotional. I always make sure on nine to
eleven I watch some program because like nat GEO and
the History Channel will just to remember that day.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
See, it's really hard for me to watch them.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
It is hard.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Researchers have found that one dose of pharmaceutical LSD can
reduce anxiety symptoms in a big way for up to
twelve weeks. In the study, sixty five percent of subjects
with generalized anxiety disorder saw improvement and nearly half enjoyed
full relief.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
And this is a huge deal because anxiety is the
most common mental health condition. A Texas couple recently found
out they're expecting a baby girl, and while that alone
may not seem very newsworthy, it's making headlines because the
baby's arrival will break a one hundred and eight year streak.
Michael Sherman and his wife Jaquoia broke the news to

(12:26):
their family last weekend that, for the first time since
nineteen seventeen, a baby girl will be born into the
Sherman family. Oh wow, okayndred years. Yes, for generations, Michael's
family has only brought boys into the world. His great
great aunt, Arabelle Sherman, was the last girl born into

(12:49):
the family. So you think this little girl's going to
be a sporn Oh?

Speaker 2 (12:52):
I think so?

Speaker 1 (12:53):
She is expected to arrive in March.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
That's amazing.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
I was the first girl born in our family in
like forty somethings.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Ye get me too, all right, So today is Patriot Day,
and to commemorate the day, I asked chat gpt to
come up with the top ten most patriotic movies of
all time. I don't know if I but all of
these movies are are fairly well known. There's a couple

(13:21):
ones that are maybe not as well known as others,
but I completely agree with number one. I will say that. Okay,
so of all the patriotic movies, which movie do you
think is number one, or at least should be in
the top ten?

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Is Top Gunner? Is that a patriotic movie? I mean
it kind of is kind of.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
Is, But some of those would probably That's that movie
would probably fit better than some of these. I will
say that, but they it's not in the top ten.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
How about Independence Day with Will Smith?

Speaker 2 (13:51):
That's more patriotically from a world standpoint? Oh, Patton Patent's
in there. Yeah, Americans love a winner. It's in there.
Is it number one?

Speaker 1 (14:07):
I'm gonna say yes? Okay, do you have any do
you have a Captain America did not make Marvel movie. No, no,
all right, that's all I got.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
All right. What's crazy is the top three are all
starring the same actor.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Wow, okay, is it Harrison Ford?

Speaker 2 (14:28):
It isn't. Okay, all right, let's get into it. Here's
Number ten is a bit of surprise to me. It's
one of my favorite books ever. I don't think I
pulled a trigger on the movie it started. Mark Wahlberg.
It's is not a vote. We're gonna cut the moose
and we're going home. Movie called Loan Survivor. Fantastic book.
So I can't tell it. I can't.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
I didn't see it.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
I didn't see it. Number nine We were sold. When
we going to battle, I will be the first to
set foot on the field. Number eight Blackhawk Down.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
There's some Deltas today we go.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
That is a great That is an amazing movie. Number
seven American Sniper. I'm willing to meet my creator and
answer for every shot that up to him. Bradley Cooper.
Really good movie. Chris Kyle movie. Yeah. Number six Rocky four.

(15:22):
Never saw it. I'm just so tired in the Rocky
movies by the time four and came around, I'm like
I'm done. Number five, Americans love a winner. Here's your
patent movie. Number four is another Mel Gibson movie, The Patriots.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
Should I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for
three thousand tyrants one mile away?

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Now we're into the top three, starring the same actor
in all of them. Okay, here's number three, Houston, we
have a problem. Oh Tom Hanks is the guy Apollo thirteen. Yeah, yeah,
that is my favorite book. It's called Lost Moon. It's
amazing book, great story. Number two. I never thought this

(16:06):
would be a patriotic movie.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
It isn't.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
Yeah, my name's Spores borst Gump has elements Perot blame
a I.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Number one I absolutely agree with give me a drum roll,
clear those murderholes Saving Private Ryan Number one.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
I don't know that I've ever seen that movie. I
don't really like war movies, although I've seen Blackhawk Down
and that's a I could watch that anytime it is.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
It's one of the best war movies, and I love
war movies, and that's one of my favorite. Probably my
favorite war movie is Band of Brothers. There's another one
that used to be on HBO called When the Trumpet Fades.
That's a really good one too.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
For the Roses.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
For the Roses with Andy Devita Michael douglasson no I
think so yeah, well yeah, you know, divorce can be
a war two I guess all right, I never thought
of that, but okay, all right, hey, thank you for
listening to the podcast. We'll catch you tomorrow at five o'clock,
day number nineteen for this peach of a question. Oh,

(17:19):
we'll try to get a winter tomorrow at seven o'clock,
and please don't break our phones again. We'll bring back
to Who Sings that we took a break from it today,
so we'll bring that back. And we also have Steeler
tickets to give away after nine o'clock. So it's going
to be a busy, busy day tomorrow. So that's it
for us.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
