SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Energy guys is
becoming a frequent topic in
this podcast.
We often discuss about energy, you know, energy to gain, energy
to spend, energy to lose, energyto use.
So today I would like to talkabout how we can use jealousy,
(00:23):
typically seen as a negativeemotional response to our
advantage using a certain formof energy towards our goal to
achieve.
Hi guys, my name is Fabio fromJourney to Success and welcome.
(00:43):
Jealousy is an interestingemotion, alright?
I wouldn't necessarilycategorize it as entirely
negative because jealousy hasdifferent layers, you know what
I mean.
Uh, it can actually serve as acompass, in my opinion, to help
us better understand ourrelationships with people and
(01:05):
our belongings, alright?
But in this episode, I want toshare an experience from uh
about month ago, something thathappened a month ago, actually,
maybe more, uh, where Itransformed a form of jealousy
into positive energy for myproject.
But before going forward, asalways, please subscribe, guys.
(01:27):
Alright, so I know this is theright direction to lead you, to
drive you, to guide you towardsyour journey to success.
And let's get started, alright,as always.
So I have these uh dear friendswho are on the same path as I
am, and they are passionateabout wine and decided to build
(01:53):
an educational app.
Their app is fantastic.
The way they approach theproject, the skills they used,
and the way they learn newskills, you know, to develop
such a good app, the design andtheir efforts to understand and
explain everything, I mean, aretruly impressive.
(02:15):
And they've been on this journeyfor uh a couple of years now and
are finally monetizing theirproject, okay.
And while taking a shower oneday, about a month ago, maybe
two months ago now, I mentionedto my fiance, like, you know
(02:36):
what?
I'm jealous.
I mean, I'm generally feel happyfor them, but I didn't expect
that they would monetize soquickly, honestly.
So I was happy for them, and atthe same time, I was jealous
(02:56):
because I wanted the sameachievement for me as well.
Because this is just myperception, of course.
For me, it has taken more than10 years to figure out what I
want to do, and in the last fewyears, I've only seen small
progress, guys.
And in their case, look like itwas different, you know.
(03:19):
So my things then say youshouldn't be jealous, you
shouldn't be jealous, everyonehas their own path, okay?
And I have to say, she waspartially right.
Everyone has their own journey,it's true, but jealousy is a
powerful emotion, okay?
And I knew it wouldn't justdisappear with the flip of a
(03:42):
switch.
I knew that.
So I thought about it for amoment, and then said to myself,
okay, jealousy is an emotion,right?
Made of energy, of course.
So I ask myself, what can I dowith this energy?
How can I channel it to reach mygoals?
(04:03):
Okay.
So, first of all, was it like intheir case?
No, absolutely not.
I believe in fortunate andunfortunate events, of course,
as everyone, but those mostlycome into play when someone is
working towards a specific goal,alright?
(04:24):
So the more effort you put in,the more opportunities, both
good and bad, can arise.
That's it.
So from the beginning, theydirected their energy toward
(04:46):
reaching a single solution.
Okay, they knew what they wantedfrom the start and remained very
focused on it.
In my case, I always felt likeNemo from Pixar in a vast ocean.
So my ultimate goal wasfinancial freedom, but saying
that in an ocean ofopportunities is not so much
(05:11):
different from simply saying, Iwant to make money online, you
know, in a space full ofpossibilities, of course you
miss your compass, you know.
So if you're not targeted withyour goal, merely remarking, I
want to achieve financialfreedom or something like that,
it simply is not enough, guys.
(05:31):
It's not enough.
And for more than a decade, Iliterally try everything from
trading to starting an agency, aweb agency, and from YouTube to
Instagram, because I didn'treally have a clear goal, that's
the reality.
So I invested my time and energyacross a broad collection of
(05:52):
plans, like searching for agolden egg in a vast field, you
know?
That's how I felt.
Where the field for merepresented financial freedom,
but the truth is that I justwalked randomly, without
direction, without purpose, orwithout a specific goal, okay,
which led me to invest poorlyfor many years in something
(06:18):
unclear.
Okay.
That was my mistake, my misstep, and the missteps of orders.
Today I'm taking these years tolead you better, avoiding my
missteps and making these yearsuseful for you and for me as
well, because I learned a lot inthis decade.
(06:40):
So for me, it wasn't a waste oftime.
But yeah, of course, it wasn't awaste of time, but there was a
big delay, you know, towardsachieving uh a clear goal, a
goal that I did not have yet.
Okay.
But my friends on the other handwere clear about what they
(07:02):
wanted to achieve.
I'm sure they encountered plentyof missteps and strangles over
the past two to three years.
Um I'm sure about it.
But what is important in thisstory, what is important to
highlight, is their focus ontheir goals, okay?
So my goals shifted constconstantly, leading to a lack of
(07:24):
focus on my part on my part, ofcourse.
And but wasn't their case, okay?
So the takeaway, what is thetakeaway in this story?
Redirect your energy towardswhat you are truly focused on
and avoid being like you know,Nemo in this situation, Nemo
(07:45):
from Pixar in this situation.
And the second point is when youfeel jealous, guys, just avoid
making excuses like the guy'slucky or it was a different
situation than mine.
Don't do that, don't do it.
It's just pathetic.
Don't do that.
Jealousy is an emotion, right?
(08:06):
And when you redirect thatemotion into action, you can use
that energy to improve yourproject or whatever is important
to you.
However, suppose you direct thisenergy into bland excuses, like
the majority of the people.
In that case, jealousy turnsinto frustration.
(08:27):
Frustration turns into hate, andyou end up doing nothing, guys.
Hating yourself for what youbelieve you are incapable of
achieving, and resenting othersfor their good fortune.
Okay.
This is not how you shouldchannel your energy, not at all.
This is not how you should reachyour goal, any goal.
(08:48):
Okay.
When I discovered that myfriends were doing so well with
their project, I knew I had tostep up my game.
So I saw it as a competitionbetween my past self before I
hear they were doing so great, and my current self.
I ensured that my podcastcommunity had a space to talk.
(09:11):
So so I tried to understand howto make sure my listeners could
engage, you know, engageespecially in a group chat where
we could text and inspire eachother.
For example, before to recordthis uh episode, I was uh
chatting with them and talkingabout procrastination, you know,
(09:34):
in the in the group chat.
And this is a good achievement.
And generally, I don't expect Ididn't expect my social media
content going viral, first ofall, never happen.
And nothing wrong on that, ofcourse, but I knew that I had to
(09:54):
do something, all right.
So I engaged with my communityon Soupstack, would I interact
daily with around 200 likes andover 150 comments per day.
And after after a year, the myfriends were doing so well, so
as I said, I tried to step up mygame, you know?
And in just five months, Igained 1000 subscribers and 2500
(10:17):
followers around.
And so in a while, I willfinally monetize this project as
well while continuing to providevalue.
And that's how I channel myenergy, alright, into something
useful regarding my project andnot into bland excuses.
(10:40):
Okay.
As for my friends, remember thisquote.
This quote is very beautiful, Ilove it.
And I hear somewhere likeactually a few months ago, and
it says, Until it's my turn, Iwill keep clapping for others.
(11:00):
Beautiful quote.
I say again, until it's my turn,I will keep clapping for others.
So don't envy what you seeothers growing.
Okay?
When the time is right, guys, you will also blossom.
Meanwhile, keep your focus andyou will achieve anything in
(11:24):
life, I promise you.
So before we wrap up, alright, let's take a moment to breathe
and look back at what we exporttoday together.
Because of course, you know, awareness is the first step to
transformation.
Okay, so let's make it clearwith a few points.
(11:48):
We start by looking at jealousy, okay?
So most people run away fromthat feeling or try to hide it,
but jealousy is actually asignal, it shows us what we
desire, okay?
It shows us what we value, andmost importantly, it shows us
what is possible for our ownlives, okay?
(12:10):
So instead of pushing it down,uh we learn to look at it
honestly.
We asked ourselves what thisemotion is made of.
It is energy, okay?
That's it.
It is movement, it is fire, andthe fire can uh burn you or it
(12:32):
can forge you into somethingstronger, into something bigger,
okay, into a second version ofyourself.
The difference, of course, is inyour choice.
Then we talked about focus.
I shared how for years I waswalking in every direction at
(12:52):
once and try everything, hopingyou know, something would
finally click.
But when everything is apriority, nothing is a priority.
When you are everywhere, you endup nowhere.
Okay, my friends had clarity, that's it.
They picked one idea, one dream, one mountain to climb, and every
step they took brought themcloser to that vision.
(13:15):
And that's the lesson.
Success doesn't come from doingmore, okay?
There was a moment in my lifethat I was just doing more, a
lot, a lot, a lot, so much.
But it doesn't work like that.
It comes from directing yourenergy where it matters most,
okay?
Next, we talk about celebratingorders.
(13:36):
This is important.
When you see someone succeedingat what you want, guys, instead
of shrinking, you know, you needto grow, you need to applaud
them, you need to learn fromthem.
Let their progress remind youthat your dream is real and
achievable.
Okay.
(13:56):
If they were possible for them,uh, why not for you?
If there were possible for them,it would it would be possible
also for you, okay?
Remember that.
There is beauty in uh uh sharingfor others while preparing for
your moment.
There is strength, uh guys, instaying focused even when the
(14:19):
results are slow, okay?
There is power, there is powerin say I will get there too, and
I will keep going until I do.
You know, there is power onthat.
So here is what I want you takeaway today.
Jealousy is not a sign to stop,it's a sign to begin, okay?
Your focus is the staring wheelof your energy.
(14:42):
So point it towards your dream, guys, not towards excuses.
And finally, lastly, clap forothers until it's your turn
because you know your turn willcome anyway.
Every comment you write, guys, every uh podcast you record, uh,
like in my case, you know, everysmall step forward is proof that
(15:04):
you are showing up for yourself.
Okay, remember that.
And trust me, the universealways rewards that kind of
commitment.
Now, I want to hear from you.
How do you deal with jealousywhen it shows up?
Do you let it stop you or do youuse it as fuel to grow?
(15:26):
Send me a message, share yourstory as always, connect with me
on Soupstack.

action in your own life.

what they need today.
