Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hello, hello, hello.
Welcome to this week's episode.
I hope you all are having abeautiful week so far, wherever
you are listening.
We just went through the summersolstice, which is so exciting.
(00:27):
I hope you are enjoying thelonger days, the hotter days as
well, but all the juiciness thatcomes with summer.
If you happen to be in thesouthern hemisphere, then you're
gonna be in winter, and if so,I.
Then you're going to be inwinter, and if so, I hope you
enjoy this cozy time of year.
(00:48):
But I absolutely adore theequinoxes, the solstices, I love
feeling the changes of theseason.
I think that there's somethingthat we all feel, whether we
know it or not, so I am actuallygoing to be recording a podcast
(01:10):
for you in the next week or soof how you can celebrate and
tune into this changing ofseason, but when you're
listening to this episode, itwill already be summer.
So I hope you are enjoying thisnew turning of the page, a start
(01:30):
of a fresh, new chapter in thisyear of your life, and for
today's episode, I wanted toshare something that has been
going on in my life or that Ihave been working through, and
(01:51):
it's something that I wanted toshare with you all because I
think it is something that anysingle one of us could take into
consideration, and it's superimportant because sometimes I
feel like we're not even awareof how it happens and that's how
we give our power away to otherpeople and ultimately we know
(02:17):
what's best for us.
There is not a single person inthe world that knows what is
true and right for you Not yourmom, your sister, your brother,
any family member, your aunt, uncle, friends, you know,
doctors.
Any person that is not you isnot going to know what is right
(02:42):
for you.
And I think that for a lot ofus, we give our power away
without even knowing, and a lotof that has to do with us being
afraid to put a boundary down,to kind of ruffle feathers to
(03:03):
make other people feel morecomfortable, and us sometimes
just being afraid to speak upabout what is right for us, or
us feeling like we are unsureabout what is right for us too.
That could also come fromupbringing.
Maybe you were brought up in anenvironment that made you feel
(03:27):
like everything that you didwasn't right, so you questioned
a lot of what you did.
Maybe you were constantly feltlike everything that you did was
not right or not enough in someway, and therefore that could
show up as you feeling like youdon't know what's best for you,
(03:49):
and that's something that a lotof us experience right, and it
could also come from just theabundance of information in the
world.
Today More than ever.
We have so much information allaround us and sometimes you
know, with health and wellnessthings, it's like you don't even
(04:11):
know what the right thing foryou to do is with that, because
you're listening to this personand they're telling you to do
this, and then you're listeningto another person and they're
saying to do the completeopposite, to do this and then
you're listening to anotherperson and they're saying to do
the complete opposite, andultimately, you are going to be
the one that makes that decisionfor yourself.
(04:33):
And I wanted to share with youall how that's looked for me in
my life more recently, and it'sbeen something that I've opened
up about in other podcastepisodes, but it's how I've been
on this physical healingjourney for the last couple of
years, and I'm talking moreabout the physical aspect, but I
(04:58):
know that this is somethingthat encompassed for me, at
least in this chapter, it wasreally mind, body, soul.
I was going through a bigevolution in my life and it was
affecting every aspect of mylife, but really my physical
body, my physical being, andthere have been so many physical
(05:21):
things that I have been workingthrough, you know, from years
of having an eating disorder, from unhealthy mental and
emotional patterns that I held, and just generational things
that I really felt like I cameinto this life to work through
so that my future generationsdon't have to work through it
(05:44):
anymore.
No-transcript physical ailmentafter physical ailment, and they
were very real things.
I still struggle with a few ofthem, but everything that I
focused on, everything that Iwas trying to heal, were very
(06:09):
real things in my day-to-dayexperience.
But I came to a point a coupleof months ago where I was just
tired of being in this place, ofseeing practitioner after
practitioner, you know, becauseI don't really see doctors.
(06:29):
I see holistic doctors, youknow, integrative medicine
doctors so many different, basically anyone who is just not
a doctor and I've been seeingthem for years trying to work
through all these very layeredthings that were showing up in
(06:49):
my body.
And I have been on countless ofprotocols, you know, taking so
many supplements for months at atime that this has kind of been
what I've been living for overthree years.
Just.
There would be days where Iwould take 20 different pills,
(07:12):
you know, and after a while youjust get tired of it.
But it's also that you justyou're just constantly in a
state of healing and there'sthis one practitioner that I
feel really good about and whoI've been seeing and who, with
her help, thankfully, I havebeen able to make leaps and
(07:35):
bounds in my healing, you know, with my gut and with my hormones
and so many other things.
And it wasn't perfect and therewas still other things to
address, but I really did make alot of progress with her, and
every time that I saw her I justfelt like I might never be a
(08:01):
hundred percent perfect, eventhough I feel like she did have
my best interest at heart.
What she wanted for me and whatI wanted for myself were no
longer the same things, and thatwas something that I realized a
couple of months ago is thatfor her, you know, the best
thing for me might be me beingon protocols still for another
(08:26):
year to work through the thingsthat she felt like I still
needed to work through, and Ijust knew that that wasn't going
to happen.
Because after three plus yearsof constantly taking supplements
and having to adapt your lifeto do all of these things and to
(08:46):
get the most out of it and tojust be in this constant state
of healing and to be onelimination diets or X, y and Z
it's like after a while you justget tired.
Elimination diets or X, y and Zit's like after a while you
just get tired.
And that energy of it notfeeling good is the energy of
misalignment, and that energydoes more harm for our body than
(09:09):
good.
So it completely goes againstme trying to heal my body
because if it's not coming fromthe right energy, it's going to
do more harm than good.
And that was something that Ijust came to realize.
And I think what I strugglewith is that I'm forever on a
(09:29):
journey of trying to deeplyunderstand what's going on.
I want to not know what's goingon at a surface level, but,
particularly like with my healthor really with anything in my
life, I really want to knowwhat's going on.
I have a deep desire tounderstand.
(09:50):
So what I tend to do is thatwith any journey that I'm on,
I'm going to go on that journeyand learn about every single
thing I possibly can while I'mon it, and that's how I learn
and I grow.
But particularly with healthmatters, you know, really with
(10:11):
anything, it's like you can't bein that state forever because
at some point it's notsupportive.
And I came to this realization.
It was kind of twofold.
It was me noticing that theenergy that I was having towards
these protocols, that I wasspending a lot of time, energy,
(10:34):
resources to go on for years, wasn't feeling right for me
anymore.
Like, even though that's whatthe paper says or my test says
or what the doctor says, thatjust wasn't feeling good anymore
.
It was starting to feel like apain in the butt, you know, it
was starting to feel just veryheavy.
(10:57):
And the kind of the nail on thecoffin for this situation was I
had a conversation with a friendof mine and she is a psychic
and we were talking about thisand she was telling me that my
body is tired of just being toldwhat to do, of just being told
(11:22):
what to do, and essentially thatit just wanted space.
It wants me to choose what itwants.
And I already knew that beforeI had this conversation with her
, because for months I had justbeen feeling the same thing,
just completely misaligned withthe path that I had been so
devoted to for so long.
And I'm also just someone thatwhen I decide to do something I
(11:45):
go all in.
So after a while it's reallyhard for me to kind of change
that trajectory, unless, obviously, I come to a new
realization.
So that's kind of what happenedhere and after that
conversation with her I was justso tired of constantly feeling
(12:07):
like there was something beingwrong with me and that I didn't
know what was best for myselfand that other people knew
better.
I think that's something more aninternal thing that I struggle
with sometimes, because I feellike sometimes I don't know
enough.
But the reality is that most ofus know what is right for us
(12:33):
and it's up to us to really tuneinto something when it doesn't
feel aligned for us anymore.
And I think that this is wherebeing in tune with your
intuition and how that soundslike for you can be super
supportive with anything in yourlife.
(12:54):
This is just how it showed upfor me in my healing journey and
how I've kind of turned a newpage with that of how I decided
to take control of thissituation and noticed where I
was giving my power away, because if I actually stopped to
listen when I did, I saw soclearly what my body was telling
(13:18):
me and it wasn't what I wasdoing.
And this is how that canmanifest for so many of us is
the small ways that we don'teven notice how we give our
power away to other people.
And this can be somethingcompletely different to you as
you're listening to this.
It could be you trying to makea big decision in your life and
(13:39):
you feel like you need to askevery single person in your life
for what they think, andsometimes you don't need
anyone's input.
You don't need to know whateveryone else thinks.
I think that there is somebenefit to that, but if you're
going to completely change yourdecision of what you feel is
(14:00):
true and right for you becauseof what other people think about
a certain situation in yourlife, that is you giving your
power away, and this is what youneed to notice.
And sometimes we'll notice itfurther down the path.
And, like I mentioned, this iswhere tuning into your intuition
(14:21):
and knowing what that soundslike is going to be super
helpful If you don't know or arenot very familiar with your
intuition or don't really evenknow what that is.
I highly suggest that you listento my podcast episode on it.
I'm going to link it in thisepisode.
(14:42):
It's called the intuitivelanguages episode and I go into
how your intuition feels likefor you, because it's very
different for each and every oneof us, and I think that it's
something that is so importantfor us to know and recognize,
because this is the voice of ourtruth, and when there is so
(15:08):
much noise going on around us,with people telling us this or
that or hey, this is what it isfor you, that voice needs to be
louder than anyone else's.
In that moment, you're going toknow that this is right for you
, and the way that you do thatis by developing trust in your
(15:33):
intuition and knowing what itsounds like, knowing what it
feels like, because when itcomes up in your life, you're
going to know, without a doubt, that this is your truth with a
capital T, not what any personoutside of you is telling you.
Because you hold the power, youknow what is best for you, even
(15:58):
when it might sound crazy tothose around you, even if it
doesn't make sense to whoever.
It doesn't have to, it justneeds to make sense to you.
It is all about tuning intothat voice within yourself and
noticing in the small ways wherewe are letting other people
(16:20):
into our lives when really whatwe need to be doing is just
creating some space to tune intoour truth.
I hope you all enjoyed thisepisode and can notice maybe
where in your life you might begiving your power away In some
(16:44):
aspect of your life.
We typically do without knowing, and it can be in those areas of
our life where we feel unsureof ourselves and our knowledge
and our capacity.
But I invite you to really tunein to what is right for you and
(17:04):
, if you don't know where tostart, tune into that podcast
episode, listen to it, getfamiliar with your intuition,
with what that sounds like foryou, and be unafraid to follow
your truth, to tune into thatvoice within us, because that is
going to be the most powerfulthing in our life.
(17:27):
We need to know what thatsounds like, we need to know
what that feels like.
If not, we will forever be outof alignment and that within
itself can affect every aspectof our life.
That energy aspect of our life, that energy is not going to be
the energy that we need to leaninto.
(17:47):
So I am sending you all so muchlove.
I look forward to talking toyou all in my next episode and
enjoy all the summer goodness.
Remember that you are incontrol of your life and you
(18:09):
know what is good and right foryou.
