Hello and welcome
everyone to another episode of
Join this Journey by Faithline.
I am just so overjoyed to bewith you today.
Happy Sunday, everyone, andhappy May.
We have entered a new month andI am just overjoyed, thanking
God that he has helped usthrough April and now has
(00:45):
brought us into the month of May.
I know that there is a saying, meditating on the Lord, he just
brought to my memory this oldsaying of April showers brings
May flowers, and we know thatthat saying is very popular
(01:05):
because through April showers wesee the result of the rain and
the water, the new beautifulflowers that break through the
earth and just start to bloom inMay, and everyone loves it.
It.
It's a beautiful sight to seeand meditate on and just see the
(01:28):
creation of God and his hand, even in the growth of new
flowers, just seeing the hand ofthe Lord move, because in all
God glorifies himself, and justmeditating on that.
The Lord brought me to thisverse, and it's in the book of
Song of Solomon, chapter 2,verse 12, and we're going to
read in the New King JamesVersion and we read in the name
(01:52):
of the Father, son and HolySpirit, amen.
The flowers appear on the earth.
The time of singing has comeand the voice of the turtle dove
is heard in our land.
Weeks before the beautifulflowers, there's always a time
(02:15):
of refreshing rain.
As I said before, april showersbring May flowers.
The same can be said in the lifeof a Christian.
Like flowers, we too need goodsoil and rain and plenty of
sunshine to grow and bloom intothe person that the Lord wants
us to be.
And one can ask where can aChristian find good soil?
(02:37):
And I have to say always goodsoil is produced through God's
holy word.
We must be rooted and groundedin the word of God to grow,
mature and blossom in ourChristian life.
The Bible often uses rain as asymbol of the Holy Spirit, and
(02:59):
it is so wonderful when the HolySpirit anoints us with his
blessings and he just pours outupon our lives, and then we have
the Lord himself divinelylighting our path.
And Jesus said in John 14,verse 6, I am the way, the truth
(03:20):
and the life.
No man comes to the Fatherexcept by me.
Jesus is our sunshine, ourheavenly sunshine that sustains
our Christian lives every day,as you enjoy this spring season
which is upon us right now, withall of its beautiful flowers,
(03:43):
singing birds, warm days andrelaxing warm evenings on your
porch or front steps.
I encourage you to examine yourinner man's soil, your soul, to
make sure you're getting all thenutrients that your Christian
life needs to grow ever morelovely.
(04:06):
I encourage you to take timeout to dig, but dig deep in the
soil of God's word, removing anyweeds.
Let him come in and just invitehim and say God, come in, holy
Spirit, just remove every weedthat is in my life, because we
know weeds, they end up chokingwhat wants to come out and bloom
(04:31):
.
And so, just through God's word, we know then okay, this is a
weed in my life that needs to go, and just ask him God, remove
any weeds that may choke out thebeautiful seeds that may
blossom in our lives.
And I encourage you to seek theHoly Spirit's shower of
blessings through constantprayer.
(04:53):
I encourage you to walk in thesunshine of God's love through
His Son, jesus Christ, and bydoing these things your life can
become beautiful.
A beautiful garden thateveryone enjoys seeing and being
around.
You know, it's just something.
When you're sitting, whenyou've had the opportunity to go
(05:15):
to like gardens around, and yousit within those flowers, you
just get amazed of the colors, the shape, the beauty of it, and
that's how we are in this world.
If we confess that Jesus Christlives in us, through rain it
makes us grow, it blossoms tosomething beautiful that people
(05:37):
are not used to seeing.
And it's not just for a season,it's for every season that we
can show this world Jesus Christthrough our life and that they
can be attracted and want tocome in as well.
So let God bloom in your life, let God use you, let God show
others that he is a wonderfuland great creator.
(05:59):
And the rain that comes throughour lives are hard moments, but
through that rain we're growing, we're maturing and right now
you may may not see it, but godwill show you.
At the very end you will becomethat beautiful garden that
everyone wants to be around andyou can be a blessing.
(06:19):
In matthew, chapter 6, verse 33,it says but seek ye first the
kingdom of God and hisrighteousness, and all these
things shall be added unto you.
And you may ask what things ishe talking about?
Things like experiencing thebeautiful blessings of God.
(06:41):
The blessings of God areeverlasting.
They're ever blooming,everlasting, they're ever
blooming.
It's a blooming banquet offresh flowers sent directly to
you from his beautiful eternalgarden each day.
So these are things that godwants to pour over our lives,
but in order for us to receiveit, the bible says we must seek
(07:05):
ye first, the kingdom of God andhis righteousness.
And if we do through that, allthese things shall be added.
What is added unto us?
Blessings, blessings of thefather, which the enemy doesn't
want you to have.
So he wants you to seekeverything else and in that,
(07:26):
when we're being distracted, wemiss what is good, and what is
good God's blessings.
God has so much great blessingsfor our lives and he wants us
to receive them and be able tobloom to show others that we
serve a great God.
So seek God and seek out theblessings he has for you.
(07:52):
Probably right now, what you'regoing through is such a hard
moment, but don't forget thosehard moments.
Those rainy days is a blessing, because after the storm, the
sun shines through and then theresult of it is beautiful,
blooming flowers, and that iswhat God is doing In the midst
(08:15):
of the storm.
What God has permitted is foryour good, it's for God's glory.
God will make something out ofit.
Why?
Because he has given uspromises.
God is faithful to everypromise he has given to you.
And what God has planted, godwill make bloom in His time.
(08:37):
So don't be discouraged of youseeing rain at this moment,
because April showers will bringMay flowers.
So, whatever shower is fallingover your life right now, it's
because God is bringing forthsomething greater that your eyes
will see.
So don't be discouraged.
(08:59):
Wherever you are at this moment, whatever you're going through,
don't be discouraged.
Rise up and know that out ofwhat you're going through, out
of those tears, out of thatsuffering, god is bringing forth
something even greater and morewonderful.
Without rain, there won't beany flowers.
(09:20):
The flowers, the ground, theearth, the seeds, everything
needs the rain, and then whatshines through is the sun to
produce what has been planted.
So be encouraged in this moment, wherever you are, feel
encouraged by the Lord and know, receive his strength, because
(09:41):
what is going to come out, it'sfor God's glory, it's a
testimony for everyone to seethat we serve a great and
powerful God.
Let's pray, father, god, wecome before you and, lord, we
ask that you pour out yourpromised glory.
Let the rain come down, god,but give us strength through the
(10:05):
rain, because without rain, lord, we cannot grow.
And if it is raining right now,let us understand, god, it's
because we are growing andmaturing in you.
Lord, help us and make us wearyour glory like a garment.
Help us in our trouble and helpus see and receive double of
(10:25):
your blessings.
For ashes we receive yourbeauty.
For sorrows, god, we receiveeverlasting joy.
Your beauty For sorrows, god,we receive everlasting joy.
And in the name of Jesus, I askyou for new strength for
everyone listening at thismoment.
God, may you cover them, may youwrap them, lord, in your arms,
so they know, god, that you arein control.
(10:47):
Lord, according to your word, lord, we are to receive and
increase God of strength when weask, and I ask, god, that you
increase our strength, god, andmay you help us, lord, to
conquer everything that you havepromised over our lives.
Oh, lord, grant us the grace, the time, the energy and all the
(11:09):
resources to enjoy the rest ofour lives.
God, and may we, lord, closeall doors of the enemy that,
when he tries to come and stealGod, that we can recognize it
and say no, no more stealing ourjoy, no more stealing our faith
.
That we can stand in you, god,to know that in the midst of the
(11:29):
storm.
There is a purpose, and we maynot see it right now, but there
is a day that we shall see it,like the day when we see the
flowers bloom.
I ask you, lord, in Jesus name, and we thank you God, amen.
I pray that this word has beena blessing to your life, and
(11:51):
never forget that April showersbrings May flowers.
Until next time, this is yourhost, jj.
God bless you.
