Welcome to episode 8 of Joyful In Hope!
This week we continue our look at the Fruits Of The Spirit and how we can access the power of Christ and the spirit through improving in all these behaviors.
Remember the Bible lists the Frutis Of The Spirit as, Love, Joy, Peace, Forbearance, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control.
Our discussion this week will focus on Joy. While there are a lot of "things" in the world that bring us Joy many of them become fleeting. Owning the next electronic, the new car, the new house or focusing on things of this world. These things can bring temporary joy, but it will not last forever.
The same goes for relying on others for joy. This will also lead to disappointment. No matter how great that other person is at some point they might let you down and you will ultimately lose some of your joy.
Now there are many GOD given moments that provide joy like brining a new child into the world or celebrating a new marriage! These are amazing and will bring you much joy.
But in the end the only true Joy that is everlasting and will never let you down is the Joy found with Jesus Christ!
