Episode 128: Marchell Sade

Hi, my name is Marchell. I was raised in Florida and Georgia by business owners. As a young girl growing up, a lot of the ingredients I selected in my products were influenced by my Jamaican and Panamanian roots. In Jamaica and Panama they use a lot of natural healing remedies, ingredients from plants, fruits and herbs.

LOHV Essentials came about in 2020. At the time I was a single mother, laid off after years of dedicated time at my job. I was depressed and I completely lost myself. Starting my skincare routine is one of the things that helped me build my confidence to get up and try again at life. During this time I built my relationship with God, it helped me to seek who I am within and my purpose in life.

I use to have heavy dark circles around my eyes, my skin complexion was uneven, and I would have bad allergic reactions to product ingredients on my skin. I remember I would go to the store and buy different products only for my skin to end up looking worse than it was. I would feel so uncomfortable and embarrassed of my skin that I would hide my skin with make up every day. I was eager to come up with a solution for my skin problems. I wanted to enjoy my natural skin at it's finest without having to cover up my skin with makeup all the time.

I immediately began mixing up formulas in my home from the natural ingredients I learned from my roots. Which lead me to years of studying and researching clean, vegan ingredients and it’s healing properties. After months of using my own products, my friends, family and many people were amazed at how my skin looked clear and healthy. My curiosity for skincare continued to grow, leading to formulating my own products with a chemist, dermatologist and aesthetician along side of me hand selecting each ingredient based on my Jamaican and Panamanian roots. I believe what you put in and on your body effects your mood and skin. Eating clean and using products with clean effective ingredients is important for a longer youthful life.

Making sure each ingredient is clean and effective made it that much easier for me to use my products on my skin without having to worry.
