In a special Memorial Day edition of the podcast, Josh and Pierre are joined in the Justice For All Coronavirus Quarantine Studios by University of Richmond Mens basketball coach Chris Mooney. Chris is a Philadelphia native, and was a classmate and teammate with Josh at Archbishop Ryan High School. He went on to star at Princeton University for Coach Pete Carril. Chris is the all-time winning-est coach in the history of Richmond. In 2020 Coach Mooney’s Spiders were riding high during a 24-7 campaign and a 2nd place regular season finish in the Atlantic Ten. He was preparing his team for the conference tournament and the NCAA tournament when his season was suddenly canceled. Coach talks about the moments that led up to the season being cancelled. He shares his feelings about the shortened season and how he broke the news to his team. PLUS Where is the better place to play Jadwin or the Palestra? Coach Mooney’s answer may surprise you; Coach Mooney shares stories about Rick Pitino, Fran Dunphy, Speedy Morris, Tom Gugliotta, Rick Majerus, Kobe Bryant, Vlade Divac, Chris Webber, Bill Raftery and more, PLUS the Coach vs. the Frenchman in the ultimate college basketball quizzo.
