In this podcast I am with Roger O. Williams, author of Turn Back Blow!

Roger who was born in Jamaica took on animal cruelty single-handedly in his country. As a boy, he saw many dogs got poisoned, kicked and stoned for various reasons. In 2013 he decided to write his first novel (titled: Turn Back Blow)  He wanted to bring awareness and show to his fellow Jamaican people--and other people from the Caribbean as well--that animals have feelings too, and to also show them the importance of animal and human friendship. The book has opened many people's eyes on the issue. The book has literally saved many animals from getting hurt. His passion for writing this book came with heavy repercussions and sacrificed friendships who felt he shouldn't have written such book. He states "No one is going to scare me from highlighting a much needed issue". He also states that whenever he is on the streets of Jamaica, it's like animals--especially dogs and cats--can sense that I wrote the book for them.
