Kalixbördiga Anna Brännström arbetar som svensklärare vid Università degli Studi i Milano, skriver läroböcker och är en central figur inom svenskspråkig utbildning i staden. Hon var med om att grunda Svenska skolan i Milano, och är aktiv som lärare där.
Utöver sitt arbete i Italien återvänder Anna till Kalix varje sommar för att andas ut, genom ett samarbete med Kalixskolor genomförs också elevresor. I Kalixpodden berättar hon mer om sitt brinnande engagemang för italienska, svenska och nordiska språk samt kärleken till Kalix, Italien och maken.
