Navigating Alopecia with Nikita the travelling midwife

HERE WE ARE AGAIN, bringing some flavour to your FRIDAY!

This week we are diving deep into the vulnerable world of alopecia. Nikita was diagnosed at the young age of 17 with androgenic alopecia after a ‘you’re balding’ comment by a family member. This led to a variety of tests which came to the conclusion of an alopecia diagnosis. Through years of navigating this condition, attempting to ‘cure’ it with medications, dyes, powders and even witch doctors to try and avoid her hair from balding further, Nikita had reached the stage in her life to decide to buy a topper wig.

We love how vulnerable Nikita is during this episode and her positive outlook on her situation. She talks about navigating dating, being open and honest about her condition and what led her into making the decision to talk about this on a public platform such as tik tok! She has since has 3.2 million views on tik tok since sharing! We are so proud of her! Her new ‘Sophia’ wig has become an incredible addition to her everyday life.
