(00:00):
Hello people, welcome back. As a lot of you guys know, I
recently did a video where I went undercover as a green
screen kid for seven days. If you haven't seen it already,
go watch it. It's my favorite video I've made
so far and I'm about to give spoilers so let this be your
notice to go watch that first. Anyways though today I'm giving
you guys a much needed update because since that video went

(00:21):
up, the most mind blowing stuff has been happening to that
Channel. By the way, this video you're
watching is going to be a lot more chill, just me talking with
a few pictures up on the screen and we'll be back to the
regularly scheduled Keed boy in the next video.
Anyways, so at the end of the original video, we saw some
crazy results from becoming a green screen kid or green screen
adult, whatever you want to callit, right after the challenge

(00:42):
ended. One of the shorts, which I'll
play a snippet of now. Hey Robert, can you do this?
But one million times that short.
There was nearing 1 million views as I was finishing editing
the video and the channel also made it past 10,000 subscribers.
I included all of that in the original video, but a lot has
happened since then. After the video went live, it
didn't slow down whatsoever. In fact, everything speed up

(01:06):
with that Channel a little bit too much.
You can see here these numbers where it says 444.
Those are my uploads. And if you saw the video, you'd
know I was posting four of theseshorts a day and each time it
would take me like 10 minutes atthe most to schedule all four of
these shorts each day. So absolutely no effort was
going into this whatsoever. So looking at the daily views,

(01:26):
by the end of the challenge, we had a 70,000 viewed day.
Then a few days after which I also included at the end of the
video, that's when it really started picking up.
We almost doubled that 70,000 viewed day the following day
with 134,000 views. Then again, we actually do
double that and the next day got291,000 views in a day.

(01:48):
Now with all these views, of course, we're also gaining
subscribers. As you can see here, we gained
3000 in a day, then 4000, and all of that brings us to the
last gains we saw with the original video.
So everything from now on is newer stuff.
After that 290,000 viewed day, it just kept doubling 463,000
views, 730,000 views and then weeven reached the point where we

(02:11):
were gaining over 1,000,000 views a day on this channel, 1
million views. Then a few days in a row it was
at 1.2 million views a day. And since then it's been going
up and down, floating around. I'd say an average of 750,000
views a day. Still even now that's happening
as I'm recording now As for subscribers, with those million

(02:32):
viewed days, we were gaining upwards of 10,000 subscribers a
day. The most beginning a day was
13,000. And now as I'm recording, the
channel is still hovering at an average of like 3000 Subs gained
every single day with all the subscribers.
Of course, the channel passed 100,000.
We actually passed a milestone on April 7th.

(02:53):
At the moment, it's sitting at 120,000 subscribers.
There's a chance the Green Crab could overtake Keed Boy.
And let me just say that's not OK.
All right, so you guys need to go right now and subscribe to
Keed Boy. Honestly, I don't want you to be
subscribed to the Green Crab. Keed Boy needs to have more
subscribers than the Green Crab joke channel that I made as an
experiment. Like not OK.

(03:14):
All right, So make sure that Keed Boy is always staying ahead
of the green crab, all right, that's rule #1 with this shit.
Anyways, we still have a good enough gap, but let's make that
gap a little bit bigger, all right?
It's a little bit scary for me anyways, the fact that this
channel has 120,000 subscribers is absolutely ridiculous.
It doesn't even feel real to save these numbers.
Also, you may notice a few bonusuploads after the challenge was

(03:36):
completed, and I'll explain those in a moment.
But first, we got to see where all these views were coming
from. So if you remember at the end of
the OG video, the one short about Robert, it was like this
animation. That one was nearing 1,000,000
views and as you can see it now has 1.6 million views.
Just kidding, that is actually aseparate other short that was

(03:59):
made about Robert that randomly just got that many views.
Also, the actual main short, which is this one here, Robert
One versus 1,000,000 Gummy Bears, is sitting at the
absolutely ridiculous view countof 13.2 million views.
I can't even make this up dude. I have been creating content on

(04:21):
YouTube and other platforms for over a decade and never have I
had any piece of content I made get this many views.
I've come a little bit close, but this is fucking ridiculous.
Now granted I didn't make this. I wouldn't say I have actually
created a video that has more than 10 million views because
the only part I had in this video was me peeking through

(04:42):
this little wall of text watching the video.
Which I mean, that was the wholepoint of the challenge.
That's what a green screen kid is.
And you know, we're trying to see if it was really this easy
to get this amount of views. And I mean, obviously we
answered the question. Yes, it is super easy.
Like this is the easiest way I've ever got 10 views on a
video. It's the easiest way I ever got
100 views, 1000 views, let alonepassing 10 million views with

(05:05):
one video. It's by far the lowest effort
way to make content. And you can't even consider this
making content right? It's a joke to say that.
By the way, don't think this is a good way to grow.
You're just going to have a channel of a bunch of people who
basically accidentally subscribeto you and don't want to watch
your videos. So definitely not recommended.
If you want to be a content creator, you should probably
create your own stuff, you know,be creative.

(05:25):
Anyways, enough with the lecture.
Let's focus on this here. All right, 13 million views,
120,000 subscribers, basically completely by accident.
So, you know, all of this is super insane, right?
Absolutely ridiculous. Well, another question I was
wondering about this whole greenscreen kid thing was, you know,
could you actually make money off of this?

(05:47):
Was there any way to make a profit?
Or at the very least maybe it was, you know, a cheat code to
get free silver play buttons? By the way, that's the award
YouTube gives out if you pass 100,000 subscribers.
This is my actual one for my real channel that you're
watching right now. But since the green crab passed
100,000 subscribers, I thought it would be the funniest thing
ever if I got a plaque that saidthe green Crab.

(06:09):
In order to do this, I had to most likely get accepted into
the YouTube Partner program, which you can apply for once you
pass either 4000 watch time hours on normal videos or 10
million views from shorts. Once you pass that threshold,
you're able to apply and if you get accepted, you become a
YouTube partner and with that, you're able to monetize your
channel and start making money off of it.

(06:29):
And also it would show YouTube that you're in a good standing,
which good standing would mean they'd probably give me my play
button. So I was going to have to
somehow find a way to get the green crab to get accepted into
the YouTube partner program. Now already I'm at the threshold
I was able to apply. I had 10 million short views,
but I waited off on a because I knew most likely my application

(06:50):
would get denied because YouTuberuns a check on your channel
before accepting you to be a partner, making sure that you're
making original content and stuff like that.
And they also do a similar checkwhen sending out the creator
awards because, you know, they just want to make sure that
they're not just handing out awards for fun, which that's
literally what this would be if they did, by the way.
Anyways, though, I wasn't going to take no for an answer.
So of course, I came up with a very simple plan, one that

(07:11):
wasn't going to take me too muchtime because I really don't want
to waste a lot of time on the green crab anymore.
I was kind of done with that. I guess it was worth a little
bit amount of time I put into itjust because I might be able to
get a play button. Also, a lot of people were
wondering if you could actually make money off of doing green
screen videos, including myself.I had all the metrics to find
out the answers that I wanted and the ones that other people
like you watching probably wanted.

(07:33):
So of course I went and tried tofigure it out.
So here was my plan. I started uploading very epic
original content to the channel such as this.
Every day I'm shuffling and thisattention.
Oh green screen kids, it is yourLord the green crab.
My idea was if a YouTube employee saw the channel they'd

(07:53):
see the Super epic original workI put out on the green crab and
they would just go ahead, give me the green light and accept me
as a YouTube partner. I could then answer the question
whether or not you can make money and find out if I can get
that play button after posting afew videos I was posting daily.
The green crab was on that dailyYouTube grind, posting the best
content ever. Crabs, they're dancing.

(08:16):
I mean, just look at that. Isn't that awesome?
Anyways, after posting some of those videos, I went ahead and
applied. A few days later, I got a
notification and you guys will not believe it.
Look at this. It said denied.
Yeah, my application got denied.Reused content, it said, which I
mean, honestly, yeah, it was completely reused content.
I'm just reusing other people's content and calling it my own.

(08:38):
So yeah, I agree with YouTube. I probably shouldn't be awarded
for stealing people's content and also shouldn't be able to
profit off of that. That's kind of a good thing that
they said no. If I was accepted and was
actually able to monetize the channel, I wouldn't have turned
on monetization for those shortsthat I was eating from people
because that'd be messed up. But regardless, I'm not even
able to turn it on anyways, so whatever.

(08:58):
But yeah, no partner program basically also means no silver
play button. Well, that's what I thought
anyways. I did have one more idea that
might work. I went even further and
contacted YouTube creator supports and I just straight up
asked them, hey, is there any way you could help me get a play
button? Like I passed 100,000
subscribers. I'm just trying to get my award.
And what they basically said to me was, well, the creator awards

(09:20):
for people who make good content.
So yeah, you're stealing videos.Bye.
Yeah. So it's so sad.
No green crab play button. Hashtag give the green crab his
silver play button or don't. Maybe it makes the silver play
button a little bit more special.
I guess it wouldn't be that coolif a kid can just go and get a
play button just by throwing their face on other people's

(09:40):
content and stealing it. But I still wanted that play
button, bro. Like you know, I just see the
channel with 100,000 subscribers.
I want it. But it's OK, I understand.
Anyways, there is still a small chance I might be able to get
one. I'm actually able to reapply to
the YouTube Partner program on May 8th.
So who knows, maybe if some of the original videos get some
views you guys go watch them, they might accept it.

(10:03):
I doubt it, but I will be reapplying on May 8th with my
fingers crossed, hoping that'll somehow someway get accepted.
I'm not really going to do much to try to guarantee that I do.
I kind of just want to leave thechannel now and stop uploading
to the green crab. I'm done with him.
The green crab is retiring and the only way you'll ever see him
again is if he gets a play button.

(10:23):
Probably won't happen, but if itdoes then I guess there will be
another follow up video where the green crab returns one final
time and unboxes his epic plaque.
Anyways, I quite literally got 120,000 subscribers and a video
with 13 million views on accident and that's just crazy.
I mean YouTube is essentially broken with this whole green
screen feature. I don't know how to feel about
it. Anyways guys, that is it.

(10:45):
Click here to watch another keyboy video.
Don't forget I post every other day at 2:00 PM Eastern Standard
Time. And yeah, bye.
