“Happy Gnu Year” first aired on Jan. 2, 1982.

The old theme song airs first, followed by Miss Carolyn and the South African Gnu introducing the New KIDS Radio Show Theme song. Ricky Peale plays lead guitar, Mike Hufford on drums, Carolyn Meyer on piano and vocals, and Donnie Mitchell on bass. They perform the entire song, marking its first broadcast.

“KIDS Radio Show Christmas Special” first aired in December 1981

This episode features an early version of the KIDS Radio theme song and the well-known Christmas Song White Christmas, a story song by Peter, Paul, and Mary.
