The story of Sammy the squirrel shows us that being nice to others and being yourself are the best ways to make friends. Sammy learns that when he helps others and shows them how kind he is, they want to be his friend. He also finds out that he doesn't have to change who he is to make friends. Just like Sammy, if you are kind and be yourself, you can make good friends too!
