After living a reckless lifestyle, separated from church and family, Rev. Adam Durso, D.D. found himself lost and broken. After his freshman year of college in July of 1996, God radically changed his life and called Adam to begin a youth ministry called Youth Explosion, which grew from 18 students to over 700 junior high and high school students attending weekly. The success of the youth ministry garnered national and international acclaim and, according to the N.Y.C. Police Department, contributed to the decline of the neighborhood crime rates.
Adam also served at Christ Tabernacle Church as youth pastor for 12 years and took on the role of Executive Pastor/CFO for 11 years, helping church attendance grow from 1,500 to over 4,000 people each weekend.Adam has also launched Faith Breathes, which exists to create an atmosphere to breathe in deeply God’s presence and to exhale good works that would glorify the Father in Heaven. He also serves as Co-founder and CEO of Catalytic Consulting NYC, which partners with churches and leaders worldwide to coach, equip, and develop millennial and emerging leaders through customized individual focus and collaborative learning experiences. Adam’s leadership and passion to see long-term sustainable community development has afforded him the opportunity to currently serve on the New York City Mayor’s Clergy Advisory Council.
