and if you'd like to learn more about the world of Counterculture Christianity, feel free
to visit my website at Kingdompowernow.org.
So as of the recording of this episode, I am excited to say that season seven is definitely
already in production, and I will talk a little bit more about that in a few minutes, and
(02:03):
all of us who are on this side of the mic are very excited about what season seven is
going to bring.
So if you're returning, we welcome you back.
If you're new to our program, we're excited to enter into our seventh year with you.
So this is a preview episode.
It's going to be a few weeks before our official season seven premiere, which I will announce
(02:26):
later in this podcast, and if you've got episodes to catch up on, or you're just checking
us out, we have over 200 episodes currently available for you to stream.
So definitely go and do that as you wait for us to release our new season.
And while you wait, here are our latest updates.
We always do an episode that involves our news and our happenings and things you can expect
(02:50):
in season seven, and that's what we're here to talk about.
And so here's all the latest updates on everything that you can expect in our upcoming
season.
There has been a lot that's been going on, and we have a lot to share with you all.
So let's start with some basic info.
So first, and probably one of the most major exciting things is that our ministry has
(03:11):
a new name.
So our parent ministry is now officially SAFE Ministries, which stands for sanctuary
apostolic fellowship empowerment ministries.
And that's from Spitfire Apostolic Ministries.
And yes, we continue to be legal and to date we are recognized non-profit.
Donations are still tax deductible.
(03:32):
We just have a new name.
And the reason for this, I really thought about changing the name of the ministry for a
while.
It's been something that's kind of been in the back of my mind, and I've gone back
and forth on it.
And it's the issue of picking a name that's more in keeping with where we are at and where
we're going, rather than where we were in years prior.
(03:56):
And maybe the name that we had was fined for a while, and there was nothing wrong with
it, but it's just not kind of where we're at now.
So in accordance with that sanctuary's website, so our church that's under our parent
ministry that we mention a lot has also been updated.
And I am anticipating that the safe website will be fully updated by the time our first
(04:21):
episode airs.
If not, it will be within the next week's following it.
And that website does remain kingdompowernow.org.
We're just going to update the name on it, maybe some of the info and keep everything
all current for everybody.
We're also excited to announce that Kingdom Now received an award while we were on Hiatus.
(04:44):
We were voted number nine in Best Christian Feminist Podcasts on the Web.
So out of all of the podcasts that cover our topics, we revoted number nine.
And our badge can be seen around social media.
It will be on the website.
We are very excited about this accomplishment.
And honestly, I can say that we couldn't do it without all of you.
(05:07):
You guys are what has made Kingdom Now go from virtually a podcast with a handful of
listeners to being heard all over the world.
Even while we're on Hiatus, we have been heard in new countries such as Latvia, in Iraq.
And Azerbaijan, there is an entire expanse of work and people that this ministry is reaching
(05:31):
through this podcast.
And we are doing that thanks to y'all.
I'm also actively working on the reintroduction of my personal blog Kingdom Lessons.
And if you're curious about where that is, that's at kingdompowernow.wordpress.com.
That's kingdompowernow.wordpress.com.
Now the story behind that particular blog is that it was my main blog for a long time.
(05:55):
And a few years ago, I was invited to start writing for patheos.
And I have a column over there called leadership on fire, which is devoted to leadership issues.
And you can check that out at patheos.com/blogs/leadershiponfire.
And I love doing that, but obviously there are many things I cannot explore on a patheos
(06:20):
column that I can in my own blog.
And so I've kind of been cleaning up my own blog.
I am deleting older posts, maybe moving those over somewhere else, doing something different
with them.
And preparing to return so that I can basically use my personal blog for some of the things
I would like to study and explore on my own.
(06:42):
So whether you need to follow me at patheos, or you need to follow me at wordpress, or you
need to follow me at both, go on there and do that so that you will be able to keep up.
So pathos is ongoing.
I release a new column with them every week.
Typically it's on Wednesdays at noon on Eastern Standard Time.
(07:02):
And Kingdom lessons I'm looking to reintroduce by possibly January.
That may be longer or shorter depending on how long the whole process goes, but I am really
anticipating that that's basically the ideal or the best aiming goal right now is to be
ready to start to reintroduce by January.
(07:24):
And we will also be starting to launch the sanctuary network in 2026, which will exist to connect
churches and ministers together who share our values.
And we will have more information about that coming soon.
Likely we will discuss it in an upcoming episode.
So before we dive into some of the info about our new episodes for the new season, I also
want to make an announcement about the release of an e-newsletter.
(07:47):
So I have been talking about an e-newsletter for a couple of years.
And there's a few reasons why doing this especially right now is important.
The future of social media these days is always a bit touch and go.
Many people have left large networks because of security and privacy concerns.
(08:08):
And it's also becoming harder and harder to find the information we want on social media
without the excessive clutter of advertisements and media suggestions of varied sorts.
So Minister Charlie Reep, who is a frequent guest on the podcast, suggested that Minister
Nik Lewis and I joined them together to create an e-newsletter that's going to be appealing
(08:32):
to all of our audiences since they do overlap and something that will make it accessible,
encouraging and informative.
And with that being said, we're actually starting the production of an e-newsletter that we
will aim to be issuing by monthly in the next few months.
We have opted to name it Power for Today, which is significant because that was actually
(08:56):
the name for our ministry newsletter years ago that then became a magazine.
And there's actually a best of volume-one-anthology of that up.
We're going to be doing volume two to come soon.
As of right now, we do not have a specific release date, but we are aiming for the next few
months and we are coordinating and working to set things up.
(09:18):
So you want to sign up for this?
I definitely encourage you to do that.
Visit kingdompowernow.org and send a message under the contact us form.
Or send an email requesting to sign up to info@kingdompowernow.org.
That's info@kingdompowernow.org.
(09:38):
So now to the thing everybody has been waiting for our premiere episode date for Kingdom
Now season 7 is Tuesday, September 9th.
For those who know a bit about how we roll, we recognize the idea of Sabbath rest.
So every 7th week on the podcast, we don't release a new episode.
(09:58):
We share the episodes of the past 6 weeks and take that pause for a few reasons.
But most importantly, to keep God at the center of all things, and remember that cycles of
rest are as important as those of work.
So in the 7th season, this is our Sabbath season.
And to mix things up so that there can be a little bit more rest, we've decided to release
(10:21):
new episodes along with re-releases and updates of favorite episodes throughout the years.
So what do you want to expect in our first episode?
The first episode is about to be recorded.
We have already started recording others.
And as of the recording of this episode, it will be recorded in about 6 days.
(10:43):
And it is going to be one of our infamous group episodes featuring a guest we've never
had on the podcast before.
His name is Brad Loggins, and he is a very special guest for a few reasons, one of which
being he is author of the book "Breaking the Silence" a journey into men's mental breakthrough.
And our conversation will include the book.
(11:05):
But it is not the only thing he is coming on to discuss, and I am not going to give away
his secret guest status.
You will have to tune in and listen to why he is on this episode.
So remember that special episode with that special guest is going to be premiering September
9th.
And Brad will actually have a presence on a couple of episodes to follow this season, and
(11:28):
I do hope that we will have him back in the future as well.
But that is not to say other episodes haven't yet been recorded, and I have already mentioned
that actually they have.
And we have about a dozen or so that have already been recorded.
They are in various states for their preparation.
And so that being said, what can you expect this season?
Well we obviously will have some new guests for the podcast this season, such as Brad Loggins.
(11:53):
And I am in talks with a couple of others who we also hope will make an appearance this season.
So far we have slated returning guests, Pastor Alex Birchnell, ministers Nik Lewis and
Charlie Reep, Julie Harvey, and a few others that we are in talks with right now.
And some of the topics we will be discussing include those by specific request, and update
(12:16):
to my testimony which is in two parts.
And previously it was titled "Runnin' on empty 1 and 2", but it is now titled from other
to us.
And we are going to also have a two part episode on Mormonism, and we have several live messages
scheduled, including one that is an update from an older one.
I hate everything about you part two, another message for the rest of us.
(12:38):
I am preparing one as we speak on priorities, and one on the nature of spiritual gifts, because
I don't think we remember that we have those sometimes for spiritual and not material purposes.
Another one we will speak about is participating in church.
And why it is not a spectator activity.
We are also looking to incorporate special offers into some of our episodes.
(13:03):
And all that being said, what if you would like to participate?
Well, for one, we welcome you to donate if you feel so led.
Donations can be made through our website at kingdompowernow.org, and we definitely welcome your support.
Two, we are working toward taking over more of our advertising, and we welcome your ads
(13:24):
if you are interested in advertising with us, and you want the option to reach a very,
very large, substantial part of the world and to be part of a top 20 percentile podcast.
If you are interested in advertising with us, there is a specific page for that on our
website at kingdompowernow.org.
Go there and contact us to learn how to advertise your business on our program.
(13:49):
And three, if you think you would make an interesting guest, feel free to also contact us with your
pitch at info@kingdompowernow.org.
Please understand our terms of agreement.
We don't pay our guests, and we also don't take guests that aren't comfortable with our
content or general beliefs.
So take your time and go to the website and learn more about us before attempting to pitch
(14:10):
an episode.
But know if we think you are a great fit, we would absolutely be thrilled to have you on here.
So all that being said, I'm really looking forward to season seven, and I'm really, really
excited that you're going to be going on this journey with us through the seventh year.
I want to say that when I started this podcast, I had no idea we would be here one day, but
here we are, and we continue to grow.
(14:32):
We continue to mature, we continue to multiply our audience, and we continue to be heard
in diverse places all over the world.
So I'm so excited to welcome you along for our journey for season seven.
We pray that it will be a blessing to you, and be sure to tune in a few weeks, September
9th for our premiere episode for Kingdom Now, season seven.
(14:55):
