Creada por el polémico compositor y cantante Lalo Mora en su paso por los Invasores de Nuevo León, el corrido de "Laurita Garza" narra la historia de una profesora, la cual al sentir que perdía a su novio, quien le dejó claro que había encontrado otro amor, decide matarlo, y para no sufrir más, ella también acabó con su propia vida. Si bien la historia del corrido es real, se sabe que los nombres de los protagonistas fueron cambiados. "Laurita Garza" es uno de los corridos más recurrentes por los cantantes del regional méxicano.
