Nancy nos acompaña desde Chetumal, Quintana Roo de nuevo para compartirnos la historia de su segundo parto.
Debido a que no hay posibilidad de acceder a atención con parteras, Nancy decidió que quien la acompañaría sería una buena amiga que tiene un proyecto de partería en Tulum.
Durante las últimas semanas Nancy comenzó a sentirse ansiosa porque para llegar hasta el lugar donde tenía pensado parir tenían que conducir 3 horas en carretera, además existía la posibilidad de que su compañero no pudiera estar presente por motivos de trabajo. Ella logró tranquilizarse meditando y entregándose al proceso.
En cuanto su pareja llegó de su viaje de trabajo ella decidió que lo mejor era irse a la casa de su hermano, que vivía a una hora de donde tenía pensado parir.
Ya estando allá pudo relajarse y sintió que era tiempo de ir a la casa de su partera para sumergirse en el proceso. Ahí pudo conectar con la meditación para transitar las contracciones. A pesar de que el parto transcurría durante la fiesta de la independencia de México Nancy en algún punto dejó de escuchar los sonidos de la música y la pirotecnia.
En medio del trance y sumergida en la tina dio a luz a su segunda hija acompañada de su equipo de parto.
De regreso a Chetumal tuvo que enfrentarse al postparto sin una red de apoyo que sostuviera a la familia. Fue un reto reconfigurarse pero después de una visita familiar ella pudo al fin sentirse tranquila y relajarse.
Para finalizar Nancy nos contó acerca del proyecto en el que colabora para promover y facilitar la labor de la partería en un sistema que no apuesta por este modelo para las mujeres.
