Como vimos en el artículo anterior, Génesis 5 conecta la Creación con la genealogía de Adán a través de su hijo Set. Este pasaje nos lleva una vez más al día 6 de la Creación cuando Dios creó y bendijo a Adán y Eva, para mostrarnos los primeros 1,656 años de la historia de la humanidad desde Adán hasta Noé y sus hijos. Esto no solo es importante porque toda la humanidad es descendiente de los sobrevivientes del Diluvio, sino que en este capítulo veremos la línea Mesiánica, a través de la cual, Dios cumplirá Su promesa de darnos a nuestro Salvador, Jesucristo.
