Jesus' Final Week of ministry is upon us. During his time in Jerusalem he has developed a routine of teaching in the mornings, and praying on the olive mount in the evenings. Pastor James takes us into his teachings during this trying time, most of with deal with the signs of trying times.

Jesus has entered Jerusalem. Following the events of Palm Sunday, Jesus decided to preach the Gospel within the temple courts. This was much to the dismay of the chief priests. Pastor Brad helps us dive deeper into the parables Jesus uses to navigate  the religious leader's questioning, and inform them of things to come.

As we continue to follow Jesus on his journey to Jerusalem, we finally make it to Jericho, the last stop before the main objective. Soon after we learn of the tax collector Zacchaeus and Jesus's need of him. Pastor James takes us deeper into this encounter, and teaches about the parable Jesus mentions' thereafter. Trying to prepare his disciples for what's ahead.

Still on the path to Jerusalem, Jesus is approached by a young wealthy ruler, whom asks how to gain eternal life. Jesus uses the moment to teach, and shows the disciples and the crowds how hard it is for the rich to enter heaven. Pastor Brad leads us deeper into this passage, and also into Jesus' healing the blind beggar Bartimaeus.

In this sermon, Jesus is still nearing Jerusalem, and continuing his teaching via parables. Pastor Brad navigates us through the parables of the persistent widow and a tax collector, two unlikely examples that are used to convey how great God's love is. Afterward we see many children brought forth to Jesus, whom he embraces openly stating, "The kingdom of God belongs to ones such as these".

This week we continue to follow Jesus as he nears Jerusalem. During this current passage, his focus is on preparing the crowds, and more importantly the 12 disciples, for his eventual death. He educates them about forgiveness, humility and gratefulness when he is approached by lepers.

Still returning to our Luke series, Pastor James returns us to the book of Luke, where the disciple is describing another of Jesus' parables. In this parable, a rich man is sent to hell, but Lazarus , a poor beggar covered in sores, is sent to heaven upon his death. Pastor explains that without context, this parable can be misleading,

In the first sermon of 2024 we finish up our Christmas flashback portion of the Luke series. Pastor Brad dives deep into the visit of the Three Magi or "Wisemen" from the east, and the details around King Herod finding out about Jesus.
