If you spend any time online, you’ve probably heard it:

And honestly? I grew up believeing that too.
There’s no denying that there are landlords out there who only care about squeezing every last penny out of their tenants. We've seen the headlines—rent hikes, neglected repairs, unfair evictions. The bad players give real estate a bad reputation, and for a long time, I thought the solution was to stay out of it completely.
