What happens when a second-grade teacher decides at age 37 to completely reinvent herself as an actress? SAG performer Leesa Neidel takes us behind the curtain of her remarkable journey from Oklahoma classrooms to Hollywood film sets, sharing scenes with Matt Damon and navigating the unpredictable waters of the entertainment industry.

Leesa's candid reflections on becoming an acting instructor at The Actor Factory reveal how the skills learned in acting classes transcend performance—helping people from all walks of life overcome social anxiety and build professional confidence. "I've had lots of people take acting classes just to get better at talking to people at work," she explains, highlighting how the weekly practice transforms even the shyest students.

The conversation takes an honest turn as Leesa and podcast host Shane Harges discuss the emotional reality of being working actors—the intense preparation for auditions that often disappear into the void without feedback, the months between projects, and the strategies for staying creatively fulfilled during downtime. Their shared experiences offer a realistic glimpse into the industry rarely portrayed in glamorous Hollywood narratives.

Throughout the episode, Leesa's philosophy shines through: "If you're going to do something, go all in. Don't half-ass it, full-ass it." This mantra has guided her from her first Google search for "acting classes in Oklahoma" to upcoming film premieres and working alongside A-list talent. Her story powerfully illustrates that creative pursuits have no age limit—the perfect time to start is always now.

Between insights on actor preparation, filmmaking economics, and behind-the-scenes stories from various sets, this conversation delivers both practical wisdom for aspiring performers and inspiration for anyone considering a major life pivot. That ring of fire he tried.
Now it's my turn To make hisbooty burn.

(01:27):
Strap on my little friend forfun and down he bends.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
His butthole has become a ring of fire.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
He said I could do it too, and I won't make him a
liar.
It's my turn turn turn, turnsout he's a crier.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Here we are.
Everybody hear us, yes, everybody good, yes, that was a
good first song, even though welost audio right at the end.
But uh, that's weird.
Hopefully it doesn't happenagain, but I can't guarantee it
hopefully we're recording, ohrecording, recording, we are, we
are recording.
Has that happened before?
Yeah, oh, we, oh, we had one ofthe funniest episodes it's gone

(02:34):
forever and I did a a scenereading.
I found an old movie, turned itoutsides, had it marked for
everybody.
We went through this entirescene.
It was from the movie Airplaneand it was so damn funny.

Speaker 6 (02:52):
I'm trying to remember a funny scene from that
movie, the whole movie.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
I think we did a couple of them.

Speaker 6 (02:58):
Hang on the airplane with Denzel Washington.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
No, no, leslie.

Speaker 6 (03:01):
Nielsen.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
Leslie Nielsen comedy .

Speaker 6 (03:04):
I was like what?

Speaker 4 (03:05):
That was not a serious movie not a serious,
okay, yeah, like uh, the olderwhite lady that speaks jive.
Oh, it was.
That episode was incredible andgone.
It only got audio from ourvideos.
It did not pick up the mic'saudio and I didn't record on my

(03:31):
roadcaster, I just totallyforgot to.
That would have got the audiofor sure, and then I could put
it both together.
No, screwed it up, no, but ourguest on the season five
premiere is none other than lisanidel hello.
Yes, she is a sag actress uhknown for like still water 13

(03:55):
seconds minutes, but hey 13minutes we only had 13 seconds
to get that would be bad safefrom a tornado.
That would be bad, that wouldnot be good.
Yeah, 13 minutes and you havesome stuff coming out this year.

Speaker 6 (04:10):
Yeah, I'll actually be in LA this coming Friday,
saturday and Sunday for a bigpremiere and a movie I did about
a year and a half ago calledthe Comic Shop, with Jesse
Metcalf and Tristan Mays.
Made it into the beverly hillsfilm fest and the director
reached out and said he had aticket for me, so to come on out

(04:33):
, and that we had like the bestspot you know in the whole film
festival like the best time, thebest theater.
He's like he wanted the wholecast to be able to come.
So, yeah, I'll be going outthere for that.
So that's coming out and it'llbe streaming somewhere, I don't
know, maybe amazon prime um,starting april 11th nice so

(04:53):
that's awesome.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
I'm excited.
I can't wait to see.
I haven't seen it yet.
That'll be fun, what's?

Speaker 6 (04:57):
that about it is about.
So I have this son in it.
He's the main character and wehave to move around a lot
because, uh, we're a militaryfamily and we moved to this new
city and he's had this big dreamforever to be a comic book
illustrator, to become anillustrator.

(05:17):
Well, I take him to the localcomic book store and jesse
metcalf is the owner of that andit's the whole story of his
store is a mom paul and it'sbeen around forever.
And then the new big fancy onecomes in down the street.
So it's a save the mom paulslash.
He mentors the kiddo that playsmy son and has a.

(05:39):
It's just a good family,friendly, like it's almost kind
of like the movie Dodgeball.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
Is it Globo Gym that comes in?
That's the big gym that comesin with what's his face.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
Vince Vaughn.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
No, he's on the Ben.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Stiller.

Speaker 5 (05:58):
Ben Stiller yes, globo Gym yeah, and they take
over.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
Yeah, well, that'll be fun.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
Yeah, but in the end of the day he gets his dream, he
gets to start, you know, goingafter the comic book
illustrating stuff, and thelittle mom-pa comic book store
makes it Aw, it has a good, ahappy ending, and then I think
the One comes out later thisyear Is that what Aaron might

(06:25):
have said?
That's what they're shooting,they're shooting for obviously
Christmas time because it was aChristmas movie that we just
filmed.
I filmed that in back inDecember and then a couple of
days in January or a couple ofdays in December and a day in
January Got that finished up anda day in January got that

(06:45):
finished up and they're hoping, yes, to have that finished up
and put out and released aroundChristmas of this year.
So I hope that happens.
That'd be a quick turnaround?

Speaker 4 (06:54):
Yeah, it is.
I think that's what she wasshooting for.
I think they are.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
I think you're correct.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
Yeah, and that filmed here in Oklahoma.
Martin Sheen is in it.
Filmed in Enid.
Maybe someone else Guthrie?

Speaker 6 (07:11):
Lisa Arnold was the director.
She was amazing.
Erin obviously crushed it withthe script.
She was a producer and thewriter.
She was so much fun to workwith all of it Everyone involved
.
It was a great script.
Another very feel good movie,yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Yeah, we got.
We got a little information onthat when Aaron was on the
podcast.
So that was that was cool tohear her story about that.
What else?
Oh, you're an instructor at theActor Factory.

Speaker 6 (07:47):
Yes, I teach lots of classes at the Actor Factory.
We'll start new sessions.
Actually this tomorrow andTuesday, a whole brand new
session starts.
Shane, you were in there.
What do we do?

Speaker 5 (08:01):
I was.

Speaker 6 (08:02):
What happens in there ?
What happens?

Speaker 4 (08:04):
in there.
Well, we start by playing DuckDuck Goose.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
All on a nice little rug.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
She's like okay, kids come sit on the rug.
We play Duck Duck Goose.
I think we made some cool penand pencil holders out of old
Campbell suit cans.

Speaker 6 (08:24):
I wish I had not asked him.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
Yeah, you shouldn't have.
And then we end it the last daydoing macaroni art.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
Ooh, that's my favorite, which is real, really
fun.
Try not to eat it all, but no,I don't know, I may incorporate.

Speaker 6 (08:37):
You're inspiring.
You may all do some of thatstuff in the next session.
There you go.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
You know, just break the ice.
That's what they were.
No, we do some cold reads andthen Lisa will give us some
redirects on the spot on howquick you can.
You might have made a decisionon your character right before

(09:03):
the cold read and then Lisa willcome back and it'll be
something Probably totallyopposite of what you decided to
do.
So you have to try to shift onthe fly into that next character
or whatever you want to call it, and we do that.
Scenes yeah.
So we do that, yeah, scenes.

Speaker 6 (09:23):
Yeah, get to do partner scenes and start filling
.
You know what it is to workwith somebody who has their own
ideas and their own choices, andyou've got to mesh them
together and flesh the scene out.
And we do background stories.
Know how important that is,because if you're going to step
into somebody's shoes and livetheir life in this moment that

(09:47):
you're, you know, recording ontape or recording for an
audition, or you know, hopefully, a scene in an actual movie on
set, then you got to know thisperson inside and out.
So that's what thosebackstories are vital.
So we do that monologues.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
Um, like lisa has uh said many times in her classes,
have at least one monologue inyour back pocket if you need it,
and two so that, uh, you havesomething to contrast and
compare.
Yep, uh, maybe drama, and thenmaybe the other one's comedy or

(10:26):
you know whatever, but uh justto show your array of skills.

Speaker 5 (10:34):
Right, this isn't really for shy people.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
No, Well, I mean, I think there are there are though
.

Speaker 6 (10:41):
There are though you, you can.
They think it's not for them, but really it is, because I've
even had lots of people actuallynot even just a few, but I've
been teaching up there for threeand a half years now and I've
had lots of people just take anacting class.
They're like I just want to getbetter at talking to people and

(11:01):
at work, I just got thispromotion and I have to start
presenting two people.
And, you know, at work, I justgot this promotion and I have to
start presenting, and they'relike I literally, you know, need
to learn how to even be able tobe up in front of people.
And so it's amazing, thepractice week after week, how
much more comfortable people get.
I love watching them, you know, settle into their own skin and
be like I can do this.

(11:22):
I've made it into this big hardthing and it's not.
So we take baby steps, because Iteach a really beginner class
and that's my Sunday class.
It's acting technique and wetake baby steps.
We start from the absolutebottom.
Like you know, people that havenever heard, you know the
verbiage that goes with theindustry, like sides and slate

(11:44):
and stuff like that.
We start from the very bottom.
So it's a good jumping offplace if you're interested or if
you're in there to just get tobe a better, more comfortable
person in front of other people.
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
So I've been in classes with people that you
tell were were very brand new toacting and had that kind of.
I don't really want to fullyopen up in front of people or in
front of the camera and youactually get to see how much
they grow out of that throughthe six, eight weeks, however

(12:25):
long the class is.

Speaker 6 (12:26):
It's pretty cool.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
I've told Lisa that I even learned from the other
actors in the room.

Speaker 6 (12:33):
Oh, absolutely.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
Because each person is going to have a different
perspective on how they approachthat character or that role
that they're put in.
Yeah, so I may do it one way.
And then someone else jumps uplater and they're reading the
same thing.
I'm like, oh, I didn't eventhink of that.

(12:58):
Why didn't I think of it?
Yeah, but it's like, okay, Isee where you went with it and
just kind of you kind of learnfrom each other and in class.
So you're not only gettinginformation from the instructor
but from other creatives in theroom.

Speaker 6 (13:14):
You absolutely do, because I took classes at the
actor factory for 10 years.
I've been up there a long timeand I'm telling you I always
loved when I was kind of likethe greenest one in the room
because I would learn the mostin that class.
I loved whenever everybody elsewas just on like level 10 and I
was still down in level threeor four, you know, and Chris and

(13:37):
Daryl and some of the folkDaryl, you know he doesn't teach
up there anymore, but he didfor years and Chris for sure,
he'd always be like don't everbe the best one in class.
What are you going to gain fromthat?
Really, try to always be in aclass where you're like okay,
that's where I want to be.
You know, and it's true, whatShane just said is I learned so

(13:58):
much from the other actors inthose classes over all those
years and I mean they would, they in those classes over all
those years, and I mean theywould, they would make a choice
and I'm not kidding you, I wouldhave an audition, even a year
later, two years later, and belike I'm going to dip into that
what I saw that one actor do inclass that time and kind of
apply it to this character andit does.

(14:18):
It just grows you as an actressor actor for sure.
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
So I recently auditioned for a feature film
and probably and it it was mysecond in-person audition,
because the industry has movedto self-tapes for the most part.
Yeah, um, the first in-personaudition I wish I could just
erase away, not not because ofwhat I did was cringe, but what

(14:49):
the project ended up being andhow the person running this
project was very much takingadvantage of people and taking
more advantage of kids andyounger talent that weren't
represented yet, but they didn'thave an agent.

(15:13):
And the ironic part of it isthat the show, series, movie,
whatever it was supposed tobecome was about child
protective services and here'sthis person taking advantage of
these kids with no agents.

(15:34):
So when my agent, christina, got word what was going on with
this project, she texted me andwas like probably everybody that
was represented by her involvedin this.
She was like, hey, run, run now.
And I said, hey, you know morethan I do, uh, and you probably

(15:57):
got some background informationon certain things.
No problem, I'm Yep.
And that thing went nowhere andthat person running that
personally, I hope, ruined theirreputation, because that's not
what we need in this growingindustry in Oklahoma is people

(16:17):
taking advantage of others whenthis industry is hot and getting
ready to explode even more.

Speaker 5 (16:25):
Somebody always got piss in the pool.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
I know, I know Baby Ruth in the pool.
That's what it was.
It was very shitty, very shittyof her.
Did you always want to get intoacting?

Speaker 6 (16:38):
Actually, no, I never even thought it up until about
10 years ago when I got in, eventhought it up until about 10
years ago when I got in.
Before that, you know, I wasjust, I had little kids and I
worked a full-time teaching joband I taught second.
Well, I taught first grade fora while and then second for a
while and I was just, you know, just staying.
You know, never had a minute tothink about anything I actually

(17:00):
wanted to do.
Well, I had stepped away fromteaching and just to kind of
take a breather and finishraising my kid.
I was having to get rides formy kid.
It was crazy.
So I was like I need to just bea stay at home mom for a little
bit.
Well, I did end up taking alittle part-time job at a place
across town and I'd get thereand I'd get all my work done
literally within an hour.

(17:21):
So, cause, you know, whenyou're a teacher, any other job
is simple as can be.
They thought they were givingme all this work and I was like,
oh, I can have that done in notime.
So I would then have a lot oftime to sit.
And that's when it came to me.
I was like, okay, this, thisjob isn't gonna cut it, but I do

(17:42):
have a little too much time onmy hands because, you know, my
kids were in school.
So I was like, what would befun, what would I be good at,
what?
What would I, you know, findinteresting?
And acting just kept coming andI was just telling myself like
stop, you live in Oklahoma, youknow, and, mind you, this was
way before all this was going on.
I mean, there'd be little hereand there, this and and that,

(18:05):
nothing much.
And so I just Googled actingclass.
I couldn't get it out of myhead and this was about 10, 11
years ago.
And I Googled acting classes inOklahoma and the acting factory
popped right up and I took myfirst class and never looked
back and became SAG two yearslater.
And I actually became SAG-Eeight months later, actually SAG

(18:27):
eligible.
And then I joined SAG about ayear after that because I had
been cast in a pilot out inAtlanta that had been been
picked up by a company in LA andit got moved completely out
there but you know it was apilot situation and went, you
know it didn't work out.
It didn't work out, but you knowit was a pilot situation and

(18:48):
when you know it didn't work out, it didn't work out.
But here I am.
Now I'm a SAG member, which isfine.
It's opened a lot of doors forme to be a SAG member out in
this area.
I know it's what landed me myAtlanta agent.
Even though that's a right towork state as well, she only
hires on or adds a talent to herroster that are sag, so she's a
you know big up-and-comingagency out there.

(19:10):
So I know that it's helped.
But yeah, in oklahoma you donot have to join sag it since
we're a right to work.
Yeah, in order to get plenty ofwork around here, but yeah yeah
, um to that audition I wastalking about with me.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
uh, what I was going to tie in there was that
audition went so well and yourclass helped me redo the scene
two more times in a differenttone and I was able to on the

(19:51):
spot, just love that I love it.

Speaker 6 (19:53):
I can be so happy because, you know, I teach that
in my class and we do it and wepractice it.
And I don't know if some peopleare thinking, gosh, he's, you
know why are we doing that.
But it happens and it'shappened to me and I try to
always do to you guys what I'veexperienced, so that you're not
on the spot going, oh okay, Ihaven't practiced this or I
haven't been given thisopportunity to have this moment,

(20:17):
so that made me so—you sentthat in an email and it made my
whole day because it does happen.
And I'm telling you you'reprepared.
You're ready.
They want you to be British orwhat.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
I don't.
I want to get booked.
That's another part of theindustry I was going to talk
about.
I'll jump into it right now.
The time between projects, thedowntime, is heart-wrenching
like take your own movies well, you want to.

(20:51):
I'll get into that too, becauseI wish I could.
Um, but the downtime has beenwhat's hard for me.
And I just had a talk, uh, withan actor buddy of mine, a, a
lover, lisa Fenimore.
We just had a talk for the pastcouple of days and, uh, just
you, you, no one understandsvery well how much preparation

(21:18):
goes into auditioning.
Yeah, because you're, you'retrying to find that character's
voice, you want it to be, youcoming, this is you as this mob
boss or oil field worker, andand you put so much effort into

(21:39):
preparing yourself, getting yourequipment together getting
getting set up, recording it,editing what you need to.
There's so much work going inyou throw those auditions out,
you get them submitted, youdon't hear nothing and that's
just the business.

(22:00):
That's fine.
But it's almost like if you putout tons of applications to get
, uh, a new job somewhere andyou never hear anything.
You never hear anything back.
You only hear back generallyhey, you want to confirm your
booking when?

(22:20):
Your agent contacts you otherOther than that?

Speaker 5 (22:23):
So you don't even hear like a eh nah, f off.
Generally no.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
Every so often I have gotten probably I've been
acting now four years, maybegoing on four or over four.
I have maybe heard once ortwice back from the production

(22:51):
staff that, hey, we loved whatyou did, but you just we had to
go another way, whatever.

Speaker 6 (22:57):
I got very rare.
In 10 years I've gotten one andthey email me back and they're
like we just needed somebody.
We wanted you, we wanted you,but I wasn't going to be local.
It was in a different state andthey didn't say I had to be
local, but they couldn't affordthe project.
Just needed that specificcharacter to be local.

Speaker 4 (23:18):
And then I did one audition.
I won't name the project, but Ireally wanted it because who
stars in it?
I read for one part.
They got back with Christina,my agent, and was like hey,
freaking loved it, but we wanthim to read for this part.

(23:40):
And so I prepped that, did that, submitted that, submitted that
they were like that wasfantastic, please have him read
for this part now.
I read for that part and then Ithink they came back one more
time oh my gosh I submitted thatnothing, nothing like what so?

Speaker 5 (24:01):
just give me the first one I auditioned for if I
did so good on it.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
Yeah, like what?
So close, just give me thefirst one I auditioned for if I
did so good on it, like I don'tknow Anyway.

Speaker 6 (24:11):
There's no rhyme or reason.
You will never figure it out.
You will not.
Let's just let the actor landpeople who want it.
You will never figure it out.
There's not a rhyme or reason.
But during the downtime, likeshane said, classes are great.
Get it, jump into a class, reada book, um, just fill your life

(24:33):
with hobbies and people andfamily and and live a full life.
That's what you got to do,because then you have that full
life to give to any of thesecharacters.
The more life you live, youknow, the better off you are to
step into different people.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (24:52):
So live a full life.

Speaker 4 (24:53):
So I started screenwriting and have my first
screenplay written.
It's complete, got a pitch deck.
And when you talk about makeyour own movies, man, I wish I
could, I really do, but but tonow know the money that goes

(25:13):
behind making something that'squality not like our home movies
not like the home movies.
We used to do watchdog homevideos and things like that,
even though those might havebetter quality than some things
I've seen.
Yes, and better acting?

(25:33):
Yeah, probably Probably, butthere's so much money behind it
and for special effects for thecamera gear alone.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
Alone and the insurance.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
To get quality material To put out a product
that you would want anybody tosee.
That costs some money, and thenyou've got to pay all the
people right, yeah, yeah, somemoney and then you got to pay

(26:09):
all the people, right yeah, yeahunless people are like, hey,
I'll do it for imdb credit orfor pizza.
I I can, um, I can use thefootage for a reel that I need
to put together, a demo reel, which it's got to be good
footage that you want on yourreel.

Speaker 6 (26:25):
Good sound.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
Yeah, sound, good sound.
The crew is where you want tospend the good money.
Yes, that's what's not talkedabout.
Enough is.
You can talk about actors allday long.
Whatever there's so many of us,they're really good crew
there's not a whole lot of, andthey are the most valuable piece

(26:46):
.
When you actually get on a setand you see everything the
entire crew does, it is crazythey are they're working their
asses off yeah, yeah how's itgoing?

Speaker 5 (27:01):
anybody watching.

Speaker 4 (27:02):
Can you see uh?

Speaker 2 (27:04):
yeah, there's people on oh, hi well, nice, I don't.

Speaker 4 (27:08):
I don't know how to tell how many.
Uh just says you know join, join, join.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
What do we do?

Speaker 4 (27:13):
nice, your fans, bro.
All right, well, that's cool.
That's cool.
We'll see how it goes later.
We'll get the analytics later.
Yeah, yeah, comment, send ussome questions.
Tiktok Something Join theconversation.
Don't just sit there and watchfrom the shadows.

Speaker 6 (27:32):
Ask me anything, ask us stuff.

Speaker 4 (27:35):
Oh no.
So were you born and raisedhere in Oklahoma, or are you an
Okie?
She's an Okie, I'm an.

Speaker 6 (27:43):
Okie Threw and threw Raised in Tuttle.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
America when I was in Tuttle Tuttle.

Speaker 6 (27:48):
Tigers, it was not big how it is now.
We were little bitty Way out inthe middle of nowhere.
Is what it felt like 35 peoplemaybe.
I mean even in 1996 when Igraduated, I only graduated with
70 people.
And so now the classes arehundreds, 200-ish more.

(28:10):
So I mean they're competing 5Aand stuff.
I'm like, oh my God, we were alittle bitty, a, 1a I think.
By the time I left we werebarely 3A, barely.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
And now Tuttle's just huge.
I graduated from mustang in 95and I want to say we had 300 and
something maybe must be wasalways bigger than us.
I had like 500 and something inmine yeah, yeah, and it grew by
then and now it's just huge, unrecognizable yeah, that's how
I feel about tuttle.

Speaker 6 (28:41):
I go out there, my sister still lives out there and
I'm like this is not where wegrew up.

Speaker 5 (28:47):
Do they have a Chick-fil-A?
I don't think so.
Mustang does oh.

Speaker 6 (28:51):
I know she goes to Mustang a lot on that little
road that opened up.
Yeah, and Panda Express.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
Where everybody gets a speeding ticket across that
bridge between Tuttle andMustang.

Speaker 5 (29:02):
Yes, what is that?
Highway 7?
, 4?
, something like that, 47?
.

Speaker 6 (29:09):
Yeah, I don't know.
You can name any number.
We'd go, yeah, highway 74.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
Thanks, Highway Northwest.

Speaker 6 (29:14):
Highway 69.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
Of course, highway Northwest, of course.

Speaker 6 (29:18):
Yeah, but that's why I never really thought about
acting.
I mean, because I grew up inTuttle there was no acting or
anything like that.
Did y'all have drama?
There was drama when my oldersister was in high school, but
by the time I got to the highschool there was no drama.
I guess that teacher eitherretired or the funding got cut.
I mean there was nothing.
But my sister was in drama, myolder sister for like one year,

(29:41):
but I probably wouldn't haveeven got in then.
And then I went to uco, becamea teacher.
I didn't even think about ituntil way I was 37 when I took
my very first acting class.
That's another thing I like totell people like it's not too
late.
It's, it's never too late.
Start now, start now yeah, please, start now.

Speaker 4 (29:58):
Don't be, don't be like me and wait till you're 40s
yeah, because how old were youin your first acting class?

Speaker 5 (30:07):
Last year.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
Yesterday no, I would have been like 44.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
43, 44.

Speaker 6 (30:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (30:17):
Don't wait, guys Get in.

Speaker 4 (30:18):
And that's who I also want to thank is Cody Mayo,
cody.

Speaker 5 (30:22):
Mayo.

Speaker 4 (30:23):
He's wonderful, yes, up in Tulsa, cody Mayo.
He wonderful.
Up in Tulsa, um, cody Mayostudios, um great, great classes
up there as well.
Um, I started there firstbecause my schedule wasn't
aligning yet for anything at theactor factory and I was like I
need to do something and Codyhad a weekend intensive and I

(30:49):
went there and, uh, immediatelyhad a great connection with Cody
and the other actors in theclass Do they haze you yeah it
was bad.
It was bad.
Cody gave me.
Cody gave me a wedgie and aswirly, Almost at the same time.

Speaker 6 (31:07):
I did not hate you to act.

Speaker 5 (31:09):
You're the nice, I was nice.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
It was like hand, hand wedgie, dunk flush All at
once.
All at once.
It was crazy.

Speaker 5 (31:20):
But it taught you something.

Speaker 4 (31:21):
And now we're buddies .
Yeah, it really bonded us.

Speaker 5 (31:25):
Can't really haze people anymore.

Speaker 4 (31:26):
I've heard no, it's frowned upon.
It is frowned upon Everyone'ssensitive.
But a lot of my I hate to say itbut majority of my acting
buddies are up in Tulsa BecauseCody also his studio.
He puts on a retreat every yearand different actors aligned

(31:49):
with his studio go to theseretreats and he does more
training, usually a guestspeaker to kind of kick off the
retreat speaker.
To kind of kick off the retreathe pairs people up to do we do
like our own little.
It's almost like the 48 hourfilm contest but we have like

(32:20):
only a few hours to geteverything together and write a
scene and set everything up, andthat's a challenge.

Speaker 6 (32:23):
And then we have a little contest.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
at the end there's awards which.
None I had one up.
Yeah, the first year of theretreat, me and my scene partner
won Best Scene and then BestUse of the Secret Word.
So, just like 48 hour they'llhave like a phrase or a word.

(32:47):
You have to somehow creativelyput it in.
You know, and you don't knowwhat genre it's in, you know it
could be a comedy.
Luckily ours was comedy and myscene partner very funny dude,
so that was his wheelhouse aswell.
So we nailed it and then he won.

(33:11):
He won again last year withsome other people in a scene, so
he's a two-time winner.

Speaker 6 (33:18):
Two-timer.
That's awesome.
That stuff is so fun to do.
Yeah, stuff like that is so fun.

Speaker 5 (33:23):
You get to be creative, yeah, so Cody's great,
so fun.

Speaker 4 (33:25):
You get to be creative yeah.

Speaker 5 (33:26):
So Cody's great.
That would give me anxiety.

Speaker 4 (33:28):
So if you're in the Tulsa area, look up Cody.
If your schedule doesn't fitwhat their class's schedule or
the thing you want to take isn'tthere and it's at the Actor
Factory go to the Actor Factory.

Speaker 5 (33:42):
Where's Actor Factory ?
Right here in Norman.
Right here in Norman Is thatthe Actor Factory Go to the
Actor Factory.
Where's Actor Factory?
Right here in Norman, righthere in Norman.

Speaker 6 (33:46):
Right here in Norman and we've got the Albin Method.
Another teacher teaches thatthe Jester Method, there's a
whole array.
And then Chris does a demo campwhere you get real footage that
you can do, and he does two orthree of those a year.
Yeah, it's got everything youneed.

(34:06):
If you're more in the metroarea, check out the actor
factory, guys.
It's.
It's a complete.
You will become a well-roundedactor or actress can you just go
and watch people um, I mean youcan't.
I had a guy actually do that inthe last acting technique class.
He paid and and came he goes.
I do not have, he goes.
I actually want to be adirector, that's my goal.
He goes.

(34:26):
So I am just here to listen toyou direct, you know give notes
and you know help them getbetter, and I'm here to see what
choices and how they tackledifferent scenes.
He just sat and watched everyweek, but that doesn't happen
very often, didn't?

Speaker 5 (34:41):
throw tomatoes?
No, not that mean happen veryoften, most people want it.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
Didn't throw tomatoes .

Speaker 5 (34:45):
No, oh Not, that mean Not that mean People do that,
not that mean, how did that evenstart?

Speaker 6 (34:48):
I would not allow it.
I would not allow it.
No violence, nice and sneaky.
How did the tomato?

Speaker 4 (34:54):
throwing start yeah that's good, that's a good point
.

Speaker 5 (34:56):
I don't know Italy or something.
There's a lot of tomatoes.

Speaker 4 (35:02):
There's just a lot of tomatoes.

Speaker 5 (35:03):
Is that where they come from?
A lot of pasta.

Speaker 4 (35:06):
They're throwing noodles at them, yeah.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
Slap you with a manicotti.

Speaker 5 (35:10):
That's how they started throwing tomatoes.
How did it start somewhere?

Speaker 4 (35:15):
I'm sure it was there .

Speaker 5 (35:16):
For some reason.
Why was it tomato?

Speaker 4 (35:17):
Probably way back in the day where all the roads were
mud and dirt and Shakespearewas doing a play, or you had
people doing Shakespeare and noone understood what the hell
they were saying.

Speaker 3 (35:33):
So they were just throwing potatoes and tomatoes.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
No, that would hurt.
What do your daughters think ofyour acting?

Speaker 6 (35:43):
Oh, my daughters, because now they're grown, I
mean 10 years later.
They were 10 and 12 when I gotin and they're 22 and 20 now,
almost 21 and 23.
Um, they love it, they're proudof me, they think it's amazing.
They can't believe I, they'relike mom you just I can't
believe you went after that andthen, like you've been in a
scene with Matt Damon, but theydo get tired of being my reader.

(36:08):
I get lots of, and my one thatwent off to OSU.
She's like I'm out of the youknow, off the clock on that now,
on being mom's reader.
So no, they're proud Becauseyou know we're always a family.
You decide to do something, goall in, don't have to do it,
don't you know we're always afamily.

Speaker 4 (36:27):
Like you decide to do something, go all in, don't
have to do it, don't you know?

Speaker 6 (36:29):
Don't half-ass it, yeah, full-ass it, full-ass, yes
.
And so they're like, well, youshowed us.
I mean.
So I was like, yeah, I'm glad Idid, because I wouldn't have
been sitting here telling themall these years Don't half-ass
stuff.
Girls, don't give up.
And you know so they're.
They're very proud of me, they, they're my biggest cheerleaders

(36:50):
.
They're sweet about it, they'recute.
They're like mom, what are yougonna do if you have to kiss
someone and it's not dad?
I, luckily, I've never had to.
I've never even had to comeclose like I think thank
goodness I, I, because I do notknow I, I would have to prepare
myself for that.
I've been married for 20,almost 26 years Been together
for 28.
He's a piece of ass and what'sso sad is my husband's like well

(37:13):
, enjoy it.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
Enjoy it.

Speaker 6 (37:15):
It's fine.
He's very laid back and couldcare less.
Just could not care less.
But that's their thing thatthey're hung up on.
They're like we're not going tobe able to watch that.
I was like I'm not going to beable to watch it either.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
Have you done scary movies.

Speaker 6 (37:31):
What have you done?
Scary movies I have.
I've done a couple, actually.
I did one called the Shifter along time ago.
We got into CineQuest.
I got into every film, filmfestival I think that they put
it in for and then covethappened.
We got to do cine quest andmidway through cine quest the
whole world shut down.
We barely got to fly home.

(37:52):
That was in san jose, california, and we went out
there for the big that was ourworld premiere of it, and the,
the we did get to have our worldpremiere and then two or three
days later, the whole festivalshut down and everyone had to go
home.

Speaker 2 (38:07):
Did you get COVID?

Speaker 6 (38:10):
Did I get COVID?
Not from that.
I actually didn't get COVIDuntil after I had my COVID shot.

Speaker 5 (38:14):
That's happened to me too A year and a half later
that's happened to me too, yeah.
I got it last year and I didn'tget it before that.

Speaker 6 (38:21):
Yeah, when it all first happened, I didn't ever
get it.
And then when they, you know, Ithought I was doing everything
right, but it still wasn't bad,it barely affected.
I didn't even know, I reallydidn't even know.
I had it till, I just couldn'ttaste, yeah, and I was like oh,
this isn't.

Speaker 5 (38:35):
I remember getting my mouth washed and was like yeah,
that didn't what's going on.

Speaker 6 (38:40):
And then I was smelling everything, yeah, but
luckily we didn't.

Speaker 5 (38:43):
And we were terrified because we were in california
when it was brand new.

Speaker 6 (38:47):
It was like what the yeah, we flew like in the big
middle of it and then got homeand you're on an airplane,
everyone's coughing and myhusband's a firefighter, so he
was really around it, but hedidn't get it for like a year as
well.

Speaker 4 (38:59):
So we got, we got lucky.
Yeah, I got the OG COVID.
I'm not sure where or how I gotit, but got OG COVID and I woke
up and then I was doingsomething that I was washing my

(39:20):
hands with some of my favoritehand soap in the kitchen.
You smell your fingers, thispeppermint stuff, and, yeah,
it's my favorite hand soap inthe kitchen.
You smell your fingers thispeppermint stuff and yeah, it's
always like I love the smell.
Hey, casey, is this soap old?
Does the soap expire?
Like lose its scent orsomething?
She was like no and I was like,uh, okay, hold on.

(39:41):
So then went to the uh pantryand pulled out every seasoning I
could, like spicy, no, I can'tsmell.
And she goes, stop bullshittingme and I was like I can't smell
.

Speaker 5 (39:58):
She was like oh shit.

Speaker 4 (39:59):
And then I think she just went because maybe I did.
So I think she just wentbecause maybe I did, but we both
got positive tests onValentine's Day.
Was that 2020?

Speaker 6 (40:14):
Or whatever it was 2021?
.
Probably the next year, becauseValentine's Day, I didn't even
know what it was yet.

Speaker 4 (40:19):
Yeah, it was like spring break.
It was spring break because wewere at Cinequest in San Jose,
california, and it was like, yeah, yeah, and I remember we
had to go to, we went to the CVShere in Norman and they had
like a separate building and itwas like this is weird if we, if

(40:39):
we test positive, are theygonna like?
Are they gonna like yeah, they're gonna bound us and like
put us somewhere.

Speaker 5 (40:45):
This is weird.

Speaker 4 (40:47):
And uh swab you know your brain.
And uh, I think I told the lady, uh, sorry for what you pull
out nasty, but yeah, I rememberthe kids having to do that the
first time, when they used tohave to go all the way up here
and they were in their car seatsin the back seat.

Speaker 5 (41:04):
So they were strapped in and they were just screaming
because they wouldn't let youout of the car.

Speaker 6 (41:08):
They just did it in the drive through.

Speaker 5 (41:09):
I remember doing it in the car, yeah they were so
and then I think sawyer wentfirst, so molly watched, so then
by the time they got to her shewas like oh yeah, like pull her
hands down it was so dramatic.

Speaker 6 (41:19):
She's never gonna forget that.
No, they were like, but I gotit.

Speaker 4 (41:23):
I got it really bad.
Um, and I think part of thereason and people can talk about
their conspiracy theories but Iwas at the highest weight, uh,
I've been in my life.
I think I was, if I wasn't 270,I was a little bit above it.

(41:44):
I really let myself go.
But I got super sick.
I didn't sleep for probably twoor three days I don't want to
say I was up the entire time.
I probably in that three days, maybe three hours of sleep.

(42:06):
I couldn't eat.
I knew I was hungry but I wouldtake a bite of something and my
body would say that is gross.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
Stop.

Speaker 4 (42:14):
You're going to throw up, and so I couldn't eat, and
I think I lost at least 20pounds within a week and a half
timeframe.
Oh my God.
Now it kickstarted my weightloss journey there you go,
there's a silver lining.
And when I, when I first startedacting maybe even just right

(42:36):
before that I had got all theway down to like two the low,
two twenties, very low twotwenties, and felt great.
And then, of course, um, thatwasn't a healthy way to do it
and all that weight startedcoming back when started living
regular again.

(42:56):
But now I'm back on that yeah,I'm back on that fitness kick,
uh, doing fight camp boxing.

Speaker 5 (43:04):
Man, I need to, I just don't care, I just can't
get motivated.

Speaker 6 (43:09):
I just started at Hot Works about a month ago, Dude
you like that.
I love it.
I kind of want to do that and Ihave seen results faster than
anything else I've tried in along time because I like to be
healthy and work out and feelgood and I have been trying
things and gym would just wasn'tdoing it for me anymore.
And then I started at hot worksand more and love it.

Speaker 4 (43:30):
Yeah, I wanted something that I would love to
do.
Yep, um, it's gotta be fun, yes, and so I discovered fight camp
and, uh, my job, my full-timejob, can frustrate the living
hell out of me big time, andboxing helps me with that.

(43:55):
That anger.
Sometimes that would, that wouldget pinned up and uh, and so
now, uh, five days a week I'mout in the garage on the bag
doing boxing workouts.
It's been great, uh, and Ithink I've been doing it now for

(44:15):
about four or five weeks andI've healthily lost I'm probably
down about 11 to 12 poundsthat's perfect and that for that
.
Yes, and so what it also did isI did start out kind of slow, I
wasn't going as hard, so I couldbuild the habit of working out

(44:42):
almost every day.
Like I said, I do take two restdays.
Usually it's a Wednesday andSaturday.
Like I said, I do take two restdays, usually it's a Wednesday
and Saturday, but that next dayafter the rest day.

Speaker 6 (44:57):
I am just ready to go , like I need to.

Speaker 4 (44:58):
Right, you're like, okay, let's go.
So I've set that habit now.
I have other habits, and that'snot doing workouts, that is
brownies and cookies.

Speaker 5 (45:09):
Watching.

Speaker 6 (45:09):
Dateline Dateline huh , I like Dateline.

Speaker 5 (45:12):
True crime baby Sitting on the couch.

Speaker 4 (45:15):
My co-host here, taylor Lee, has some cool news
with your employee award right.

Speaker 5 (45:23):
Oh, I got employee of the month $500 bonus.

Speaker 6 (45:28):
That's way good news.
Congratulations.

Speaker 4 (45:33):
She's got a new office space.
Is it open yet?
Are you moved into it?
No, not yet.

Speaker 5 (45:38):
We moved some stuff in the building, but we're still
behind.

Speaker 4 (45:43):
Whatever, she's a top dog at her place of business,
so that's nice to see.

Speaker 3 (45:52):
Just fake it.

Speaker 4 (45:55):
I think we all do to a certain extent.
I've worked here almost 18years it's been that long, huh
yeah, you going to retire soon.

Speaker 5 (46:03):
Yeah, I got to do another 18.

Speaker 4 (46:05):
Isn't that so weird?

Speaker 5 (46:07):
Actually it's like 17,.
I think I had to do another 18.
And that's so weird.
Actually, it's like 17.

Speaker 4 (46:11):
I think I added it up .
Do y'all remember like backwhen we were kids and you saw
like your friends, parents, werethey retiring from places?
Like at 20 years you?

Speaker 3 (46:21):
know, 25 years.

Speaker 4 (46:23):
And then they would.
They would retire from thatplace.
You know that is gone.

Speaker 6 (46:27):
That's gone.

Speaker 5 (46:28):
We have to beat the rule of 90.

Speaker 4 (46:30):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (46:31):
So your age and your time work has to reach 90 for
you to retire with full benefit.

Speaker 6 (46:35):
Yeah, that's like with teaching.

Speaker 4 (46:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (46:39):
I'm the rule of 90.

Speaker 4 (46:41):
Yeah Me too.

Speaker 5 (46:42):
So yeah, you got to teach till you're old.
It's so weird, it's weird, Iold.
It's so weird, it's weird, Ihate it.
I hate it for people and then, when you can, finally retire and
travel and do stuff you're oldand you're tired.

Speaker 4 (46:53):
You're old and you're like, can't do that fun shit
anymore.
I did watch a cool YouTubevideo.
It was a guy that talked abouthow he took an early retirement
and he compared his kind offinancial situation with
retiring early with his friendthat waited the full time and

(47:15):
the money difference was minimal.
And this guy that retired earlywas younger at the time than his
friend that waited forever sohe could travel, do the fun shit
he wanted to do and his frienddidn't get to have those

(47:40):
memories and the guy was likeyou know and my buddy could have
had severe medical issues lateron and he's still working and
now he doesn't get to enjoyretirement at all?

Speaker 6 (47:54):
Isn't that everyone's worst fear ever?
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (47:57):
you retire and then you get cancer diagnosis.

Speaker 6 (47:59):
I've seen that a lot.
It's sad, it is sad.

Speaker 5 (48:02):
Yeah, I don't want to do that.
No, no.

Speaker 4 (48:06):
But I started with the state way too late, so to
get my rule of 90.

Speaker 5 (48:17):
You have to be 90.

Speaker 4 (48:18):
Yeah yeah, I got to work till I'm like 85.
You will be 90.
Yeah, yeah, so.
So I'll be enjoying retirementon my hover round.
It'll take me where I want togo.
I'll drive that hover around tothe Grand Canyon.
Don't go over.
No, I'm jumping.
Yeah yeah, I'm just fullthrottle.

(48:40):
All in, let's go full throttle.
Yeah, full throttle, with thehover around right into the
Grand.

Speaker 5 (48:46):
Canyon.
Well, if you make a blockbustermovie and make millions, god, I
wish you could just give themthe finger.

Speaker 4 (48:56):
I know my hollywood so I feel like I feel like my
screenplay unholy alliance isblockbuster.

Speaker 5 (49:07):
Holy.

Speaker 4 (49:07):
Alliance is something people would thoroughly enjoy
and laugh and have a good time,a good experience.

Speaker 6 (49:15):
Didn't you get to do a table read I?

Speaker 4 (49:17):
did I did.
That's exciting.
I did with a bunch of my actorfriends up in Tulsa volunteer to
come help me and read.
I'm sure they're being sincereand they all had a wonderful
time.
The room was filled withlaughter.
I got wonderful feedback fromthem, whether it was positive

(49:42):
criticism or just how much theyloved it.
I knew the words they werespeaking, you know I I do think
they meant it, of course, and um, it was great and uh, I
recorded it and I watched thevideo of the table read every so

(50:03):
often that's exciting I watchand just listen to.
it was nice to hear all thecharacters I've created have a
unique voice, Because up untilthen they all had my voice in my
head from reading and writingand so seeing these actors just

(50:24):
bring these characters to lifeand just if I could, I would
have the money, I would cast allof them because they were
fantastic.
That's awesome.
I just I do hope it gets made.
I hope, and I'm sure everybodythat writes a script hope it

(50:45):
gets made.
But mine is better.
I'm sorry, I mean it just is.
It's better.
There's gags in this script youguys haven't even thought of.

Speaker 3 (50:56):
And I'm not going to tell you right now.

Speaker 4 (50:59):
I might tell Lisa when the camera's shut off.

Speaker 6 (51:02):
Well, what's the next step?
Let's go.

Speaker 4 (51:05):
So Chris Hoyt is helping me out with trying to
secure funding.
Um, I did have a talk with himthe other day.
Um, there is interest in thescript, but he did mention how
financing in the industry iskind of weird right now, and the

(51:26):
guy he was talking to that wasinterested.
He's having a slow time gettingfunding and so it's just a
waiting game.
More more to be patient for, yeah, you know.
So of course, we all wanteverything now, now, now maybe
waiting a little bit.

(51:47):
maybe we get more funding and wecan really kill this thing.
Yeah, but either that.
Are you going to cast?

Speaker 5 (51:54):
Lisa in it.

Speaker 4 (51:58):
There is a part.

Speaker 6 (52:00):
Yes, but I didn't do the table read.
He needs to use the person.
Well, maybe somebody can.
He said they were perfect.

Speaker 5 (52:06):
Maybe somebody can.

Speaker 4 (52:06):
They were good, maybe they need another mom, maybe
somebody can't.

Speaker 5 (52:08):
He said they were perfect.
Maybe somebody can't.
They were good.
Maybe they need another mom.

Speaker 6 (52:09):
The other issue is Lisa, but I would do it in a
heartbeat, though you know that, yes, in a heartbeat.

Speaker 4 (52:17):
Lisa's SAG.
Oh, more than likely, thiswould be non-union right now as
it sits.
Now that doesn't mean that aSAG actor couldn't be cast,
there's just more paperwork.

Speaker 6 (52:32):
That's what happened a lot of hoops to jump through
they did extra paperwork and tothis day the Byrds brothers have
a such a special place in myheart.
Shout out to the Byrds brothersbecause they did all that extra
paperwork to have me andShifter and because they don't,
because it was a non-unionproject.
Sag doesn't want you to dothose.

(52:54):
There are just a lot.
I have to follow lots of rules, lots of rules, um, but that's
okay because then the union alsoprotects you wonderfully.
Uh, there's lots of perks to belike I said it got me my atlanta
agent.
I know it did, and probably mychicago agent as well, because
that is not a right-to-work area.
So I bet you can't even not be.

(53:14):
Well, I bet you could be saggyand still get an agent up there.
But yeah, they did all thatextra paperwork and, like I said
, it got into everything theyput it in, for we were supposed

(53:35):
to go to the hollywood shorts, you know, but in it was going to
be in august and I was like, oh, all this will be done, we're
all going to la for this.
That's a huge got in, that's ahuge film festival and of course
it it was not done, but yeah,so that I feel like that really
kick-started a lot of stuff forme.
Even though covid a little bitshut it down, it kickstarted
this whole.
You know, things can't happen.
Things you know, cool stuff canhappen.

Speaker 4 (53:57):
Yeah, you've got to know where you're done.
Scenes with Matt Damon, deanCain right, yep.

Speaker 6 (54:03):
That's how I got eligible.
Superman, he's very sweet.
Matt Damon is class act dude.
You would think he would.
You know he's just such a megastar, but he is the most down.
It's like talking to shit.
I was going to say he's likefriendly good old boy.
He's a good old boy, he does.

(54:23):
He's just amazing.

Speaker 4 (54:24):
He was really wonderful to work with he's good
will, honey.
How do you like?

Speaker 5 (54:29):
them apples, so that's good, they're not a-holes
.

Speaker 4 (54:32):
Well, at least they weren't.

Speaker 6 (54:35):
I've been with a couple you know, on set.
But yeah, we're not going totalk about those folks, but yeah
, I've had some great.
You know, paz Vega was my scenepartner in 13 Minutes and she
was precious.
She's another really big starand acted like no big deal.
We're just working and you'rethe same as me and let's kill

(54:56):
our scene.

Speaker 4 (54:57):
So yeah, I've had a lot of my nephew Taylor's son,
sawyer, more interested in dramaor acting or something, but he

(55:19):
made a little movie on hisiPhone.
We were all out at our parents'house right, I saw yeah.
And he was doing a treasurelike a treasure hunting with the
other kids little video withhis cousins and stuff and uh,
put it all together right on hisiphone and then played it for

(55:40):
us.
Yeah, that's awesome and it wasso cool.
I was like man, you need to dothis yeah but he is he said he
might come out of that I meanhow old is he?

Speaker 6 (55:53):
He'll be 11 in July.
That's amazing that he did that.
Yeah, very, and that was.

Speaker 5 (55:58):
YouTube videos, and that was a couple of years ago.

Speaker 4 (56:00):
Him and his friends, so he was like nine, yeah, when
he did that, like he's he likesgot a knack for it.

Speaker 5 (56:13):
He likes uh spielberg , maybe he likes that uh use the
different apps and make videosand edit, but he likes to be in
them too.

Speaker 4 (56:17):
But again, if there was like a bunch of people
watching, he'd be like which, ifwe end up getting to shoot
unholy alliance, I will beasking my family hey, come be
zombies, you don't have to act,do it.
You know you don't have lines, but you're gonna.

(56:37):
You can be zombies, because Ithere.
There is a scene in unholyalliance, in this little fight
with some zombies, where I thinka character takes out like a
Girl Scout or something.
My niece, molly would beperfect.

Speaker 5 (56:57):
She'd be a good zombie.

Speaker 4 (56:58):
Yeah, she kind of likes that.

Speaker 5 (57:02):
She's scary anyway.

Speaker 4 (57:04):
I remember she wanted to watch the Walking Dead.

Speaker 5 (57:08):
I want to watch that.

Speaker 4 (57:09):
You're three.

Speaker 5 (57:10):
She'd be like I remember she wanted to watch the
Walking.

Speaker 4 (57:12):
Dead.
Yeah, I want to watch that.

Speaker 5 (57:13):
Yeah, no, you're three yeah.

Speaker 4 (57:13):
And she'd be like but she'd be great.

Speaker 5 (57:15):
But yeah, there'll be .

Speaker 4 (57:17):
Maybe you know we can find something for Sawyer as
well, of course, and maybe thatwill help him kind of get over
that Sounds like he needs to beyour DP.
He might.
He might or he can.
Oh, you know what, if we do doit, he could be the uh, he could
do some of the behind thescenes kind of the photos videos

(57:41):
that they do, um, they do thosethings and um, really, that's
for casting crew.
They'll show some of thosephotos and videos of the
production.

Speaker 5 (57:56):
He likes to make tornado short films too.
He's a little obsessed withtornadoes.

Speaker 6 (58:02):
Hey, my oldest is.
She always loved them.
She was never scared, she'slike.
I want to go outside and look,Mom no.

Speaker 5 (58:09):
He kind of gets scared when it's real.
But he watches a lot of youtubevideos on tornadoes and then
they reenact and make littlemovies in the house.

Speaker 4 (58:17):
I love it like destroy the house, like throwing
shit all around they're likehiding.

Speaker 5 (58:22):
They're getting a bunch of snacks, taking them in
the little hiding room.
I'm like finding like fudgerounds in there ritz crackers
are so old hidden in the littlehis hidey hole yeah, explains
the mouse infestation I gotroger for that oh yeah, roger
little cat is a killer hey, how's tiktok live going over

(58:44):

let's check in say somethinghunter, it's happening, it's
happening, it's live, it's liveI didn't know you could tick

Speaker 4 (59:00):
I don't know what that.
It's not just a tick tock videohe's just streaming on facebook
.

Speaker 5 (59:05):
He's just streaming the entire thing.
Yeah, I'm streaming so peoplecould just watch the whole thing
on TikTok.

Speaker 4 (59:09):
Yeah, there's people on there.

Speaker 5 (59:10):
I thought it was like I think I don't know.
What's the difference in aTikTok reel?

Speaker 4 (59:15):
Well, there's not a TikTok reel.
Those are two separate things.
Okay, so hey, I don't knoweither, I'm old.
Tiktok Reels is Facebook,instagram.
Those are those shorts.

Speaker 5 (59:30):
So they make it shorter but they're longer on
TikTok.

Speaker 4 (59:33):
No.

Speaker 5 (59:42):
Well, tiktok, you can do 15 seconds a minute, 10
minute videos, I thought theywere all a minute long.

Speaker 4 (59:47):
No, you can choose.
You only have a few choices, though, but a TikTok live is
just like if you went onInstagram live or YouTube live,
where they can watch it in China.
Right now it's happening realtime.
That's all that's it Do youhave any other?
Social media things you want toexplain Don't fuck up X.

Speaker 5 (01:00:13):
You know you can go viral, right?

Speaker 4 (01:00:14):
yeah, that's not like you get to go on or something
yeah, yeah, you know, you, youknow if you go viral, you know I
think the point is you want totry to go viral, so then, tiktok
, youtube, facebook, instagram.
Whoever sends you checks you.
There's people that make moneyand their entire job, their

(01:00:35):
business, is doing TikTok orInstagram.

Speaker 6 (01:00:38):
Yeah, because when it went down for a day there, so
people were freaking out.

Speaker 4 (01:00:43):
I mean I was, because I use TikTok videos for the
podcast.
I mean it was real.

Speaker 6 (01:00:48):
Like people were like I make my whole living, yeah,
and there's some cool stuff onTikTok.
Oh, the podcast, I mean it wasreal, I make my whole living.

Speaker 4 (01:00:51):
And there's some cool stuff on TikTok.

Speaker 3 (01:00:53):
People do some cool things Go outside, go outside.

Speaker 4 (01:00:57):

Speaker 3 (01:00:59):

Speaker 4 (01:01:02):
Go bird watch what is it you like how to start a fire
with a rope and twigs and dryerlint.
There's probably a couple ofdudes on there doing that.
How to put up a tent.

Speaker 3 (01:01:15):
How to pitch a tent, and then do you utilize it.

Speaker 4 (01:01:20):
I do look up some things on TikTok, on how to do
Recipes.
It could be car stuff.
There's all kinds of stuff outthere.
Now there is junk.

Speaker 5 (01:01:34):
That's for sure, and I wouldn't want little kids like
the stuff you play here on thisexactly like the videos I'm
about to play right now in fact, that was my way to lead into it
when we do uh.

Speaker 4 (01:01:44):
We did our uh season finale last november, early
december I think so and sothere's been a lot of things in
the world go on since then, likewhat well we have, we have a
new president.
I don't know who's excited ornot excited about it, you know,

(01:02:06):
but uh, in honor of that, I dohave a video for us.
Here we go.
If it'll play right, we'll see.

Speaker 5 (01:02:19):
Donnie.

Speaker 4 (01:02:22):
Now.

Speaker 5 (01:02:22):
Buffering.

Speaker 4 (01:02:23):
Now Didn't they do this before?

Speaker 5 (01:02:26):
Or, like the videos, would not play Clapper or yeah
Action when like the videoswould not play Clapper or
whatever it's called Action.

Speaker 4 (01:02:33):

Who knows, get it together,we'll check it.
Yeah, uh, uh, talk amongstyourselves and I'm gonna figure

(01:02:56):

Oh I don't.
This could be a while.
This could be a while how'severyone's weekend?

Speaker 6 (01:03:04):
good, I mowed, yeah, you mowed.
I mowed before I came.
Yeah, oh wow, and it's windierthan all get out out there and I
ate a lot of dirt, a lot ofdirt in my eyes, a lot of dirt,
but it's done.
I had to scout my yard.
Do you have a big yard?
Yes, we live in about an acreand a half.
Oh yeah, so you have a?

(01:03:25):
Yeah, nice, oh yeah, I don'tthink I could physically push
all of that.
My yard's full of weeds.
We sprayed Full of weeds, andthey're starting to die and I
was like it's time to mow themgone.
But we had quite a few thisyear too.
We forgot to do thepre-emergent stuff.

Speaker 5 (01:03:45):
But then I feel bad for the butterflies.
But then I feel bad for thebutterflies and the bees yeah, I
want them to have some flowers, some nectar.

Speaker 4 (01:04:01):
Okay, let's see if we can get what other videos were
there.

Speaker 6 (01:04:03):
Maybe it was just that video, probably fart videos
.

Speaker 5 (01:04:07):
Oh, you know what?
I'll do this real quick.

Speaker 4 (01:04:09):
Yeah, let me show this.
This was an interesting newsheadline that I saw.

Speaker 3 (01:04:15):
Let me throw it over here for everybody to see Herpes
.

Speaker 4 (01:04:19):
Rampant herpes virus could reach the brain via the
nose, sparking behavior changes.

Speaker 6 (01:04:27):
No.

Speaker 4 (01:04:29):
What are the behavior changes?
Like, I don't know.
It just says a virus that mostadults on earth have been
exposed to which that's gross, don't tell me.
That has a sneaky route intothe brain and a world first
study has now demonstrated thatit can cause behavioral changes.

(01:04:50):
While this form of infectionthankfully appears to be rare,
the authors do believe it meritsmore attention.

Speaker 6 (01:05:02):
What's is this for real?

Speaker 4 (01:05:05):
Is this going to?
Are kids going to start usingthis excuse?

Speaker 6 (01:05:09):
Yeah, yes.

Speaker 4 (01:05:11):
I don't know why I didn't do my homework at school
today, mom.
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:05:15):
I got nose herpes I got brain herpes.

Speaker 4 (01:05:18):
Okay, maybe my homework at school today.

Speaker 7 (01:05:20):
Mom, I don't know, I got nose herpes, I got brain
herpes, okay maybe, but I alsowonder can?

Speaker 4 (01:05:24):
can everybody just start bathing regularly?

Speaker 6 (01:05:27):
oh, please come to my classroom and talk about that
yeah, like I don't want to howherpes is.

Speaker 5 (01:05:33):
I don.

Speaker 4 (01:05:33):
Well, it says you can breathe it in.
Right, you can breathe it inthrough the nose.
I don't.
I go to Walmart, right?
I do some shopping at Walmart.

Speaker 5 (01:05:44):
I don't think you can breathe herpes in that's what
it says?

Speaker 4 (01:05:47):
No, that's what it says it's like putting your nose
where it don't belong.
Rampant herpes virus couldreach the brain via the nose.

Speaker 3 (01:05:53):
That's not what that means.
You've got to make somemembranes in your nose Via the
nose.

Speaker 4 (01:05:56):
That's not what that means.
So that stinky person in lineright before you at Walmart in
the self-checkout, I'm going tohave to step back away from.
That's not how you get herpes?

Speaker 6 (01:06:08):
Are we going to do that six feet rule again?

Speaker 5 (01:06:10):
I think he misinterpreted the whole thing.
You weren't listening in sixthgrade health class.

Speaker 6 (01:06:14):
No, he didn't, he fell asleep.

Speaker 4 (01:06:17):
Oh well, I don't know .
It made sense in my head Do youstink because you have herpes?
I?

Speaker 6 (01:06:25):
don't know.
We don't know either.
We both smell good, so we don'tknow.

Speaker 5 (01:06:31):
We don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:06:32):
I still can't get videos to pick.
Let me try this.
Let me try.

Speaker 6 (01:06:36):
Does this happen often, you know more than I want
it to.

Speaker 4 (01:06:42):
This is what happened to me.

Speaker 5 (01:06:42):
Maybe it's because you're on TikTok Live, can only
do TikTok one time, probably Oneat a time.

Speaker 4 (01:06:49):
You know what it did?
Do something when we went onTikTok Live.
That's when the one openingvideo see went weird.
Don't you have them saved toyour computer?
Oh, yeah, that's what I'mplaying.
Yeah, I mean, it ain't gonnahave nothing to do with your
tiktok life if they're saved toyour computer it's I love when

(01:07:10):
the humans pipe in to your modem.
Save us I'm surprised hedoesn't know this.
He's a tech tech guy techwarrior?

Speaker 5 (01:07:17):
I don't.
I barely know how to work myiPhone.
I don't either.

Speaker 6 (01:07:19):
I don't even know how to TikTok apparently my girls
have to show me everything.

Speaker 4 (01:07:23):
I have to ask my girlfriend to show me everything
.
I have no idea how to work thisphone, I swear.

Speaker 5 (01:07:28):
Where is Jordy?
Let me see if it works here Inthe ether she is, she's
everywhere she's everywhere andnowhere all at the same time but
it's not working.

Speaker 4 (01:07:42):
Here there's something going on.
Subaru it's not mine.

Speaker 5 (01:07:49):
I thought, y'all were sharing I own nothing put the
clothes on my back somethinggoing

Speaker 4 (01:07:59):
on, I gotta figure it out.
I gotta figure it out.
I know what, I know what we cando, know what we can do.
We're gonna do it right now.
Right now we'll be back and weare back, uh, and I think our
videos are going to work thistime.
So now, like I was sayingbefore, in honor of our new

(01:08:21):
president, like him, love him, hate him, despise him, I don't
give a shit, but this is a funnyvideo.
The N-word there we go allright there we go there we go

(01:08:45):
that's our president donald jdon't know if that's real.
It could be ai, I don't know whoknows, that's the word we live
in.
Yeah, but oh the dawn.
So now we talked about smellingherpes at Walmart.
Be careful out there.
Maybe you walk in like this now.
Maybe you walk in with thosepeople.

Speaker 5 (01:09:05):
Your husband's going to be like what kind of podcast
were you on?

Speaker 6 (01:09:10):
He's a firefighter, have you ever been to a fire
station and heard?

Speaker 5 (01:09:15):

that's her dream there with mesometimes.

Speaker 6 (01:09:25):
Yeah, she's like please hello, yes, please sign
me up you mean a buffet of menthey are a bunch of stinky
animals.
They're so gross and soinappropriate brothers, so okay,
you would, you, you would, I'dprobably fit in, fit in.
Oh shit, it'd be no big deal.
I'm serious, I warn peoplebefore I take them up there.
I'm like guys, you know they'resavages, you just never know

(01:09:47):
what'll come out of their mouth.
You gotta be prepared.

Speaker 4 (01:09:50):
That's usually this podcast, but they're heroes.

Speaker 5 (01:09:53):
They save lives.
They can do that.

Speaker 6 (01:09:54):
And they are an awesome group of people up there
.

Speaker 4 (01:09:57):
So they do you know that's?

Speaker 5 (01:09:59):
awesome.
I don't know if I could do that.
It would be hard.
Yeah, the job would be hard.

Speaker 6 (01:10:04):
I couldn't do it.

Speaker 4 (01:10:06):
But that kind of camaraderie, that kind of being
able to pick on each other, makefun of each other, crack jokes,
inappropriate jokes, whateverwe need to bring that back.

Speaker 6 (01:10:21):
Yeah.
We need to bring it back Well hehas said from day one, it is
how they get through.
Yeah, you know, they have tohave that to decompress from the
crap that they see and thehorrible stuff that's just
constant and we probably onlyknow like this much of it.
Oh yeah, I had to tell him inour early because he got on the

(01:10:42):
fire department.
We'd been married about sixyears and you know, when he
first got on, he would come homeand tell me these stories and I
would.
They would disturb, they would, yeah, stress me out and disturb
me and just make me sad orwhatever they were, and I
finally finally tell them okay, you can't tell me stories
anymore.
I internalize, I'm not, hecompartmentalizes very well.

(01:11:07):
And he just puts them in a placeand they did what they could
and they move on.
And that's why they do thecamaraderie, because that keeps
it light up there.

Speaker 4 (01:11:14):
It's got to stay.
Yeah, that was me and everyone, all all the guys I served with
in the army.
I mean, we had that kind ofhumor and it didn't matter what
background you came from, whatcolor you were, what you looked
like.
No, everyone was fair game.
You know, if you do somethingdumb, oh we're, we're not to

(01:11:37):
ever let you live it down.
Oh, ever, because we're goingto do something dumb and you're
not going to let me live it down.
Right?
So now I'm going to give itback to you.
I was stationed out at FortIrwin my last few years in the
service and that's in the highMojave Desert in the service,
and that's in the high Mojavedesert.

(01:11:57):
We'd be out in the desert doingsome kind of field exercise and
some dude went off to go take apee pee over here and you got a
whole desert and I'd go standright next to him.
Oh yeah, no there's no, I wouldgo to the bathroom.

Speaker 6 (01:12:14):
You have a whole desert.
Yeah, you're poopy, no, no yeahthere's no, there's no, letting
him go pee in peace oh yeah, all right.

Speaker 4 (01:12:25):
Well, we're gonna jump into the fun segment.
Not that this whole thinghasn't been fun, but I'm gonna
say the light fun video.
We're just gonna sit back,we're gonna see, or you're gonna
see, people from all walks oflife doing dumb things uh, never

(01:12:48):
smart things, um, and maybesome animals farting.
I don't know what I got, Iforgot, but here we go.

Speaker 5 (01:13:03):
What's happening?

Speaker 4 (01:13:06):
Let's go.
Oh, oh well.
Here we go Hot dogs, that's ourbrother Dan.

Speaker 5 (01:13:20):

I'm not buying hot dogs forthat guy.

Speaker 2 (01:13:27):

Excuse me.

Speaker 8 (01:13:34):

You want to hump that thingright in front of me.

Speaker 6 (01:13:39):

Speaker 4 (01:13:59):
Okay, I don't want to be in one.

Speaker 1 (01:14:01):
Yeah, stop asking me to be in a relationship.
I'm not looking for a man.

Speaker 8 (01:14:05):
I'm sure they're hitting you up there, ain't no?

Speaker 1 (01:14:06):

Speaker 4 (01:14:10):
I'm sure they're hitting you up.

Oh, I always still make them anEaster basket.
I've never, not in 22 years.
Mom of the year.

Speaker 6 (01:40:11):
Yeah, we pretty much live at the lake.
We have a lake house at Eufaula, oh nice, so we get there as
much as possible.
We have an old boat.
We sold our newer boat lastyear and we were going to get a
different boat and we haven'tdone that yet, so we're still in
our old boat.
But yes, we have a boat.
But she's an old girl, she's anold boat that's okay, she gets

(01:40:31):
us out there nice yeah, we'll be.
We'll be living there for mostof the summer.

Speaker 4 (01:40:37):

I think we're probably going tomake another trip to Red River
this summer, y'all again.

Speaker 5 (01:40:43):
Uh-huh I think we might go to the Ozarks, ooh.

Speaker 4 (01:40:46):
Hmm.

Speaker 5 (01:40:49):
Where at I don't know , there's some bat cave.
You can drive a golf cartthrough it and go to the bat bar
and you drive around and drinkand look at bats.

Speaker 4 (01:41:00):
There is that that I want to do, where you get on a
golf cart and you drive throughall this stuff and they do have
different refreshment stops.

Speaker 5 (01:41:07):
I do want to do that.
There's like scenic overlooksand waterfalls.

Speaker 4 (01:41:11):
We've gone to.

Speaker 5 (01:41:12):
Eureka.

Speaker 4 (01:41:13):
Springs a couple of times.
That's been pretty fun.
But it can get real hot andthat town is basically like this
, like built on the side of thehill, and you're either walking
uphill upstairs, so it's kind oftough to get around.

Speaker 2 (01:41:36):
But it is fun.

Speaker 4 (01:41:36):
Bad knees.
We did an escape room last timewe were around.
But it is fun, bad knees.
We did a an escape room lasttime we were there.
That was really fun.
Uh, we did a.
They do like this paranormaltour investigation thing at the

kind of famous hotel.

Speaker 5 (01:41:57):
Eureka.

Speaker 4 (01:41:58):

Speaker 5 (01:41:59):
I just forget the name all of a sudden.

Speaker 4 (01:42:01):
Anyway, really cool hotel, old hotel, really neat.
I dressed up in my El Crapitanoutfit when we did that, the
ghost tour.
Uh-huh, I wore this hat, my oldcreptan hat, my sunglasses and
my velour tracksuit.

(01:42:22):
Gold tracksuit, there was thisgroup of girls and they were
doing this.

Speaker 5 (01:42:29):
I was going to say I bet you have a lot of Snapchat.

Speaker 4 (01:42:32):
And I looked over at her and I went.

Speaker 6 (01:42:36):
Oh yeah yeah, you should have done the Captain.

Speaker 5 (01:42:38):
I went oh yeah, yeah, you should have done the like
Captain Morgan thing.

Speaker 4 (01:42:41):
Yeah, yeah, but yeah, that's a fun town.
But yeah, we want to makeanother trip to Red River in the
summertime, get away from theheat.
We haven't been in thesummertime in a while.
I want to get a Jeep and go offroad and up in the mountains.
I think we're going to do that.
Casey has internationalbarbershop competition coming up

(01:43:05):
in October.

Speaker 5 (01:43:08):
I think where's the international at America?

Speaker 4 (01:43:13):
You can't wait, wait, till you hear the place where
it's going to be Columbus, ohio.
That's not international.

Speaker 5 (01:43:22):
I don't know why there?
But we're going there, you'regoing to go to France, or
something.

Speaker 4 (01:43:28):
Well, the next international?
Well, see, on international.
They really don't have those,at least yet in other countries
like that that, because most ofthe courses are in the united
states.
They do have some from newzealand, australia, sweden,

(01:43:50):
maybe uk, I can't remember butthere's not a lot of them.
So it makes more sense just tokeep that international
competition in the States.

Speaker 5 (01:43:58):
Make them come here yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:44:00):
But the Swedes their barbershop.
Course, the women are tall.
It's crazy.
Yeah, they're kind ofintimidating.
Do they wear those clog shoes?
I think they sometimes do.

Speaker 6 (01:44:21):
Those little wooden shoes yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:44:22):
Seems so uncomfortable.
The next international thatCasey's chorus after Columbus
can qualify for will be inSeattle, so that'll be a fun
trip.

Speaker 3 (01:44:33):
The fish market, yeah , yeah, so that'll be a fun trip
.

Speaker 5 (01:44:34):
Another fish market.

Speaker 4 (01:44:35):
Yeah yeah.
She just had a regionalcompetition in Richardson, texas
, last weekend, richardson, andso they only performed for
evaluation this time.
But that was fun, had a goodtime.

Speaker 5 (01:44:52):
What do they call you Like a dance mom.

Speaker 4 (01:44:57):
Are you like a momager?

Speaker 5 (01:44:59):
I'm like a chorus husband okay, and I do have a
barbershop, your barber husbandchorus husband I'm a chorus
husband okay

Speaker 4 (01:45:09):
uh, and I have my plethora of hoes now.
How that started was Casey saidhey, I need a certain type of
hose for my costume.
Here's the color and everythingI need.
Can you please go to Walmart?

Speaker 5 (01:45:26):
and get it for me Dude to do that and I went right
.

Speaker 4 (01:45:29):
Okay, I'll go do it.
And they had a wall, yeah.
And I said, how do I find yoursIn this plethora of hoes?
And so it was born yeah, thatwas born uh, we also, uh, our,
our group are also sister wives, because we were, we were in

(01:45:54):
we're at a competition incolorado, in Denver I think, and
we all went out to eat and allthe girls had their chorus
costumes on, so they all lookedhad the same outfit.

Speaker 5 (01:46:06):
You should have put a fake camera crew with you.
They would have found yoursister wives.

Speaker 4 (01:46:09):
So there were like 10 of the ladies there.
I'm sitting at the head of thetable and these two dudes walked
up to one of the girls and waslike who are you guys?

Speaker 5 (01:46:23):
Who are you and?

Speaker 4 (01:46:24):
she was like, oh, we're sister wives.
And she looked down at thetable at me and goes and there's
our husband Shane, and I'm justlike hey guys.

Speaker 5 (01:46:37):
Hi there.

Speaker 4 (01:46:38):
You know, know, they were like you're never gonna
believe what we saw.

Speaker 5 (01:46:42):
We saw the dude had like 10 women when I went on a
work trip last year I think itwas last year to salt lake city,
utah, and we went to dinnerwith a rep and it was like a big
group of us so they split usinto two tables For some reason
one of the two dude reps, sothey were each at one table.
All the girls, women sat atthis table and the other one was

(01:47:04):
mixed and the waitress came upand she was like and I was
sitting right next to my boss.
She was like oh, how are you solucky to get all these women?
I didn't even think about it.

Speaker 6 (01:47:24):
I just was looking at the menu and I was like I mean
we are in utah.

Speaker 5 (01:47:25):
My boss was like I forgot.
Can I not say that?
I can't say so.
I was with work.
Okay, I thought I was on thepodcast.

Speaker 8 (01:47:28):
Okay, it's fine, yeah , she was so pissed like what
it's appropriate.
Yeah, we are, it's utah, it'strue.

Speaker 4 (01:47:31):
I mean they shouldn't have done it, you know, if they
didn't want people to talk weweren't at work, so I didn't get
ridden up Get ridden up.
Imagine getting ridden up forthat I work for OU, so probably
yeah.
I wasn't going to state who youwork for.

Speaker 5 (01:47:46):
Oops, I mean OSU.
Where are you going?

Speaker 6 (01:47:54):
Just the lake Lake.
Well, we're going to Florida atthe very beginning of the
summer for Lauderdale.

Speaker 5 (01:47:59):
Nice.

Speaker 6 (01:48:00):
Just hang out on the beach.

Speaker 5 (01:48:01):
Go to the beach, but we'll be at the lake.

Speaker 6 (01:48:02):
The rest of the year.

Speaker 4 (01:48:04):
I've been to Orlando.

Speaker 6 (01:48:07):
I have too.

Speaker 4 (01:48:08):
And.

Speaker 6 (01:48:08):
Destin, and that's it .

Speaker 4 (01:48:09):
But I went to a nice, stayed at a nice place, but I
went for an IT conference.
But we stayed one extra day, Ithink, and me and a co-worker I
had rented a Camaro and we droveto Cocoa Beach Cruising looking
for ladies.
And just kind of kicked it atthe beach, walked around.

(01:48:32):
You're not really a beach guy,you know there's a part of me I
do like a nice beach, not wheresharks might be, but in Hawaii.
When we went to Hawaii hadgreat time.

Speaker 5 (01:48:47):
I love Hawaii.

Speaker 4 (01:48:49):
When I went to Jamaica had a great time.
What I don't like in Jamaica wewent out on one of those hobie
cats, that's what was that?
It's like a little catamarantype deal kind of like a little
raft with a sail kind of a thing, um, and one of the guys that
worked at the sandals resortstook us out and, uh, I did not

(01:49:14):
enjoy that because the waves, the waves were rolling.
So they were.
They weren't crazy waves, butthey were big waves.
And then the resort when Ilooked at it just got smaller
and smaller smaller smaller.

(01:49:35):
I don't know what's in thesewaters.

Speaker 6 (01:49:39):
I don't want to be in the open waters.

Speaker 5 (01:49:41):
That's too far.

Speaker 4 (01:49:42):
And I said can we turn this around and go back
that way please?
We get halfway back, lose wind,so we're just adrift.

Speaker 5 (01:49:53):
Oh God and it's my nightmare.

Speaker 8 (01:49:56):
It is, and I'm living it.

Speaker 4 (01:49:57):
And I'm just like I did not drink enough for this,
so, yeah, Didn't like that.
Also why I can't go on a cruiseI can't get myself to go on a
cruise.

Speaker 5 (01:50:09):
I know I'm scared of this too.
I can't do it.

Speaker 4 (01:50:11):
There's no way.
It's a lot of water, not for me.
You ever done one.
I've done a few, we like them,but it's been a long time.
It's been at least six or sevenyears since we've been.
I mean, I wouldn't mind beingon the big ship with all the
stuff they have on it, but canwe just stay docked?

Speaker 6 (01:50:30):
just right there in the port, is that?

Speaker 4 (01:50:31):
like it.
Can I get a cheaper rate?
Just go around the block, comeback.

Speaker 6 (01:50:35):
You don't know, just stay there no, he doesn't even
want to leave.

Speaker 4 (01:50:38):
But you get all the food, the entertainment yeah,
they got all kinds of shit onthere.
You know, Dances.

Speaker 6 (01:50:44):
It's fun.
We've been on a few, but yeah,it doesn't bother me.
I mean I wouldn't have wantedto do on that deal that would
have bothered me.

Speaker 5 (01:50:53):
The little boat.

Speaker 4 (01:50:55):
Do you?

Speaker 5 (01:50:56):
feel it rocking though.

Speaker 6 (01:50:58):
We went on one that was pretty rough and you could,
but most of the time you forgetyou're on a ship.
You forget you are on a ship.
I get a little seasick.
Luckily enough, none of us do.
Y'all are used to the lake, Iguess so.

Speaker 1 (01:51:16):
I've been on one of those yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:51:18):
I've been on one of those.

Speaker 4 (01:51:19):
Yeah, I've been on one of those.
No, never again will.

Speaker 6 (01:51:22):
I get on one.
Yeah, they're not my favoriteeither.

Speaker 4 (01:51:24):
Only if they stay docked, just like the cruise
ships.

Speaker 6 (01:51:27):
They stay docked, yeah, but on the shore.

Speaker 4 (01:51:30):
You know I do.
However, I do like snorkeling.

Speaker 5 (01:51:36):
Are you not a good swimmer?
I do like snorkeling.
Are you not a good swimmer?

Speaker 4 (01:51:40):
I'm a super good swimmer, but I love snorkeling
Not out way out from the beach, just keep me kind of close.
I do like it Did that in Hawaiiand swam around sea turtles.
That was cool.
Yeah, I do like that.
But you know know, I don't evenlike being out in the water on
a lake oh, I love it.

Speaker 5 (01:52:02):
That's my happy place let's go, I think, let me out
there.
We didn't grow up like that,we're not used to it.

Speaker 4 (01:52:09):
Well, I mean, dad tried we'd have like a what?
Like a 10 foot john boat.
You know that with a littleoutboard motor that he would peg
and turn.
We're not really like peopleand it was like you could almost
tip the entire boat over.
It's like, dad, this is notboating.
No, can we please just go back?

(01:52:31):
I don't want to be on thisthing with you driving.

Speaker 5 (01:52:34):
It's fine.

Speaker 3 (01:52:36):
Yeah, oh goodness El Reno.

Speaker 4 (01:52:39):
Lake.
Poop Lake is what we called it.
Poop Lake yeah, not a lake guy.
Well, I like going to the lake.
I don't know if I want to beout in the middle of it.

Speaker 6 (01:52:52):
In the summer, when it's the middle of the summer.
That's the only place that'sactually cool yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:52:56):
Is the middle of the lake.

Speaker 4 (01:52:59):
I did like kayaking down at Lake Murray, I did like
that Lake Murray's beautiful.
I did like that.
That was pretty fun.
We haven't done that in a while.
Maybe we will, I don't know.
We'll see.
We want to get hard shellkayaks Right now.

(01:53:19):
We just got the inflatable kind, and mine's not actually a
kayak when we bought them.
We bought them with our COVIDstimulus checks.
We're like, hey, let's get somekayaks.
We're like, okay, so I'mlooking at kayaks, weird and
well to get out of the house, you know everything was closed.

Speaker 6 (01:53:41):
Yeah, everything was closed, yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:53:43):
We started getting.
You could only do so much inthe house until it's like we got
to get out of here and kayakingwas great.
But when I was looking upkayaks, we couldn't really
transport the hard shell kayaks.

Speaker 5 (01:54:00):
We had to get inflatable.
You don't have a truck.

Speaker 4 (01:54:02):
They do have weight limits.
Oh and I'm all about safety andI couldn't need I couldn't get
a one person kayak at the time Ihad to get a two person, two
person kayak.
So I get a two-person kayak.
So I'm a two-person kayak guy.
That's how I describe my weight.
Now I'm a two-person kayak.

(01:54:23):
Mine is actually like a canoeand it's big and yellow.
It looks like a giant banana.
So I'm just out paddling with agiant banana.
We had a good time.

Speaker 5 (01:54:37):
Take it out to Driper .

Speaker 4 (01:54:40):
I think we did no, no , no, we went to Thunderbird a
couple of times.
That's just gross, I can't doit anymore.

Speaker 5 (01:54:49):

fall in.
Come see me out of here Canoearound.

Speaker 4 (01:54:55):
We did go to Lake.
Overholser one time.
That was okay.
They have like that weirdchannel area Huh.

Speaker 5 (01:55:05):
I did not know y'all kayak yeah.
