(00:27):
groundbreaking insights ofneuroscience.

quest for personal growth, you're in the right place, so

Welcome aboard.

(00:48):
Hello and welcome back toanother episode on Lead to Excel
podcast.
It's Maureen Chiana here, and Ican't tell you how excited I am
to be back behind this mic.
It's been a little while andI've been busy working on
something incredibly specialthat I cannot wait to share with

(01:12):
you.
First, let me thank you foryour patience and for sticking
with me.
Whether you're tuning in forthe first time or you've been
here since the beginning, knowthat this space is all about
growth, transformation andunlocking our God-given
potential.

(01:32):
But before we dive into whatI've been doing, let me just say
this you are here for a reason.
I don't believe in coincidences, so if you're listening today,
I hope that you live with asense of purpose, hope and tools
to rewire your life, onethought at a time.

(01:55):
Let's dive into what I've beenup to and the exciting journey
ahead.
So where have I been?
And the exciting journey ahead?
So where have I been?
Well, over the last few months,I've been pouring my heart,

(02:17):
mind and soul into a new project, a book that is already
transforming lives, and it'scalled Rewire your Brain with
Neuroscience and Scripture.
Every day and for those thatare listening to the audio
version, I'm actually holding upthe book, and you can find this
book in Amazon or any otherbookstore, on Kindle as well,

(02:38):
and Kobo and all other digitalplaces that you read your books.
But the key thing about thisbook and I'm going to go into a
bit more detail later is thatit's a daily guide, so every day
you have content, and the bookis actually split into 12
different sections.
So it's called Rewire yourBrain with Neuroscience and

(03:02):
Scripture Every Day.
And before I get into the book,I want to go beyond just
introducing the book to you.
I want to leave you with amessage that will ignite
transformation in your life, starting right now.
So I've titled this podcast, one Thought Away from

(03:23):
Transformation, to this podcast, one Thought Away From
Transformation.
And I'll start with a questionwhat's one thought that has been
replaying in your mind lately?
Whether you realize it or not,the quality of your thoughts act
as the foundation for the lifethat you build.
Proverbs 23, 7 reminds us, andit says as a man thinks in his

(03:56):
heart, so is he.
Science affirms this, with theprinciple that our brain
structure adapts to what wethink about most often.
A process that we now know isneuroplasticity, and this
process is what actually givesus the understanding that we can
actually change the thoughtpatterns we have.
We can change our life bychanging our thoughts.

(04:17):
One thought can inspire you totake bold action or it can keep
you stuck in fear and hesitation.
Consider this If your thoughtswere the steering wheel of your
life, where are they taking you?
Are they guiding you towardspurpose, towards growth, or are

(04:38):
they holding you back in acircle of self-doubt and
limitations and fear and worry?
Being risk averse, for example,I once coached a lady who was
hesitant to step into leadership.
Her inner dialogue was I'm notcut out for this.

(05:00):
That single belief shaped howshe approached opportunities,
holding her back over years.
It impacted on the decisionsthat she made, still holding her
back.
But once she challenged thatthought and replaced it with I'm
equipped and empowered to leadwith confidence, her actions

(05:25):
began to align with her newmindset.
Over time, that one transformedthought shifted her entire
trajectory and she's nowthriving as an exceptional
leader in her organization.
The key message is this what youchoose to think about most

(05:46):
often is what you eventuallybecome.
And I'll repeat that again whatyou choose to think about most
often is what you eventuallybecome.
So take charge of your innerdialogue today, because even one
small shift in your thinkingcan spark a ripple effect of

(06:09):
transformation in every area ofyour life.
The way you think shapes youremotions, your decisions, your
results and, ultimately, yourdestiny.
Think thoughts of fear and yourbrain wires itself to see more
fear.
Think thoughts of faith, andyour brain begins to seek

(06:33):
opportunities and solutions.
So here's the big takeaway youhave the power to choose your
thoughts.
So choose wisely.
So choose wisely.

(06:57):
So this one thought concept isreally what enabled me, or
inspired me, to write the book, because when you understand the
importance of being aware ofyour thoughts, being aware of
what you say and the impact ithas on the decisions that you
make, the impact it has on howyou even communicate, how you

(07:17):
perceive yourself and how peopleperceive you.
Once you understand that andtake the actions to now rewire
the thought processes, thelimiting beliefs, the limiting
thoughts that you have, itcompletely changes your life.
And this book I call it.

(07:38):
It's actually a daily guide.
So this daily guide is whatwill enable you each day to stay
focused on where you want to goand what you want to achieve,
so that you can keep rewiringwhat needs to be rewired and
actually maintain that newwiring you have to enable you

(08:01):
achieve the end result that youwant to achieve.
So rewire your brain withneuroscience and scripture is
your tool, your weapon, yourammunition, your resource to
enable you stay focused andachieve the results you want.

(08:21):
The element of scripture isquite unique and the importance
of it is that, as a Christian,it gives you the anchor, the
foundation, because that is ourfoundation.
So it gives us the anchor toenable you actually take the

(08:43):
actions that you want to take.
For example, you can keephaving affirmations, keep saying
positive statements, but ifit's not based on any solid
foundation, they become wordsthat you're just saying and they
don't have any impact.
But as a Christian, when youbring it back to scripture and

(09:04):
know the foundation ofChristianity the fact that we
are made in God's image, bringing it back to the concept
of identity, of who God has madeyou and how God has made us in
his image, I always say there'sa topic, there's a day that
actually has the question who amI and whose am I?

(09:27):
Who am I and whose am I?
And if you're able to just hookon to those through challenges,

(09:47):
to push through life's problems, issues and live the life that
God has ordained for you to live.
So the book is designed as a366-day guide.
It's not just a book you readand forget.
It's a tool for transformationand it goes from day one to day
366.

(10:08):
So you keep reusing it everyyear and you can start it at any
time.
So you can start it in February, you can start it in the middle
of the month, you can startfrom day one.
Or you can decide I want to gointo this section on
relationships or I want to gointo this section about how to
let go of the past, because alot of times what holds people

(10:32):
stuck is being stuck in the past, and there's a section that
will help you through that.
There are topics on how toovercome imposter syndrome, how
to overcome procrastination.
There's literally everythingthat you need to live a
fulfilled, high-level, powered, successful life is in this book,

(10:56):
so one of my favorite parts isthat it's not about perfection,
it's about progress.
So I share stories, challenges, victories and lessons to remind
you that transformation ispossible for anyone willing to
take the journey.

(11:16):
The core principles in the bookare faith, meeting science
combines scripture with insightsfrom neuroscience, showing you
how to rewire your thoughts, build resilience and live

(11:39):
purposefully.
You've also got practical tipsevery single day.
So, after going through theinformation, the educational
part and inspirational part, youthen have practical steps from
letting go of the past, like Ijust said, to achieving your
biggest goals.
There's a section on goalsetting.
This book gives you bite sizedactions that will enable you
achieve big results.

(11:59):
You also have reflectivequestions at the end of every
day so that you can really stopand reflect, because that
process of reflection helpscreate new wiring in your brain
and, as you start going throughthe daily guide, it then helps
keep rewiring, because it'srepetition that rewires the

(12:23):
brain.
The third thing is that it's ajourney, not a destination.
So this guide structure willhelp you grow in areas like
confidence, relationships,leaderships, purpose,
self-discovery, one step at atime.

(12:43):
Why this book matters now isthat we live in such a
fast-paced, uncertain world,don't we?
It's easy to feel overwhelmedor stuck, like you're running on
empty or chasing things thatdon't truly fulfill you.
This guide is my way of sayingstop breathe.

(13:05):
Is my way of saying stop, breathe and refocus.
The world will try to tell youwho you are, but God already has
given you an identity.
The problem is so many peoplehave forgotten how to access it.
Rewire your Brain withneuroscience and scripture is

(13:25):
about helping you take back thatpower, step by step, day by day
.
It will help you rediscover whoyou are.
It will help you rediscover whoGod is.
One of the key messages I hoperesonates with you is this
You're not your past.
You're not your past, you'renot your mistakes.

(13:46):
You are what you choose tobelieve and build today.
So grab your copy of the bookfrom Amazon, and you can also
get a copy from Mindsight Storeor any bookstore where you shop.
You can also get the digitalcopy from Kindle or Kobo or

(14:07):
Apple Play.
Wherever you listen to yourdigital books.
You can also get a copy.
So get your copy and starttransforming your life today.
So I'm going to give you a fewpractical tips to enable you
rewire your brain so that youcan achieve that transformation,

(14:28):
and remembering that you'rejust one thought away from
transformation.
So I'll leave you with threesimple but powerful steps to
start today.
First, pause and reflect.
Take a moment to identify yourmost frequent thoughts.

(14:52):
Is it uplifting or limiting?
Write it down.
Awareness is the first step tochange, because if you don't
know what you need to change, then what are you actually
changing?
Replace the lie with truth.
If your thought is negative, challenge it with God's truth.

(15:15):
For instance, if you think I'llnever succeed, replace it with
I can do all things throughChrist, who strengthens me.
Philippians 4.13.
Can you see how I said, thescripture gives you an anchor
because it takes it away fromyou telling yourself, or feeling

(15:36):
that you're telling yourself alie I can do all things.
When your brain is then tellingyou no, you can't.
But you take it away from you, from your ability.
And when God says you can doall things.
He created you, he is the onethat made you, he knows what he
has put in you, so you have nochoice but to believe him.

(15:58):
So, with that, that becomesyour anchor.
So, taking it away from thelimiting thought, you move it
into what does scripture say,and that's why this book is so
powerful.
The third step I'll leave youwith is repeat and reinforce.
Repetition is key to rewiringyour brain.

(16:20):
Speak your new thought daily, especially during moments of
doubt.
That's when you need to go backto something that you're going
to hold on, to a scripture, aquote, a statement, but
anchoring it with what God saysyou can do.
Your brain strengthens pathwaysthrough repetition, so

(16:43):
consistency is everything.
So I'm inviting you to takethis journey with me.
Whether you've been following mywork or you're new to this
space, this book is for anyoneready to grow, thrive and step
into the life that God hasplanned for you.
If you've ever felt stuck, ifyou're ready for a change, or if

(17:07):
you simply want a daily dose ofinspiration rooted in faith and
science, this is your startingpoint.
This book has launched and, like I said, it's available in
