164. Week Nine: Being Open to the Journey - Soulful Pregnancy

Welcome to Week 9 of Soulful Pregnancy! As we dive deeper into this sacred journey, your baby is growing rapidly, and so are you. This week marks a significant transition as the early developmental phase continues, and you may begin to feel the emotional and physical impact of your pregnancy more intensely. In this episode, we’ll explore how to embrace these changes, honor your body, and nurture your spirit as you both evolve together.

Mother’s Body Fact: In Week 9, your body is producing more blood to support the developing fetus, which can lead to increased fatigue. You may also notice that your breasts are becoming even fuller and more sensitive due to ongoing hormonal shifts. Additionally, some women experience changes in their skin, such as darkening of the areolas or the appearance of the linea nigra—a dark line that runs down the center of the abdomen.

Baby’s Development Fact: Your baby is now about the size of a grape (around 0.9 inches long) and is starting to develop more distinct features. This week, the baby’s arms and legs are lengthening, and the first signs of muscle development are beginning to take shape. While the facial features are still forming, the ears are moving to their proper position, and the beginnings of teeth are developing under the gums.
