Lamont to the Leading Her Waypodcast.
Welcome, mia.
Thank you so much for joining uson Leading Her Way podcast.
I am so elated to have you withme in the Make Money series.
This series is so important andso good because we're starting
off with a new year and I knowthat every business owner their
objective is to serve, but alsoto generate money to live their
(02:07):
lifestyle.
So I definitely want to getinto this because I know for a
fact you talk about mindset andyou talk about all of these
amazing topics and I wanted toknow for you what your thoughts
are on how limiting beliefs stopentrepreneurs from making money
.
So my first question to you arewhat are some of the most
(02:29):
common limiting beliefs that youbelieve have created
entrepreneurs to struggle intheir business?
Yeah, Nikisha, thank you so muchfor having me.
And yeah, like through thecoaching with my clients, I have
found and myself included right, I think the first limiting
(02:50):
belief is money will solve itall.
Ah, that's a really good one.
Yes, right, I think that a lotof us believe that, especially
when we're coming from a placeof scarcity, we believe that
money will solve all of theproblems that we have.
And it's actually quite theopposite.
(03:12):
Like we get to solve ourproblems and money shows up.
So you know, right, entrepreneur, if you're an
entrepreneur, you know that youractual business is solving a
problem for someone and that'show you actually get paid.
So, believing that money solvesthe problem, it's, it's, it's
(03:34):
actually reversed.
So I think that's the numberone limiting belief.
Number two, I believe wethere's.
There's typically a a scarce.
If you're having an issue withmoney when it comes to being an
entrepreneur, there's typicallya scarcity.
If you're having an issue withmoney when it comes to being an
entrepreneur, there's typicallya scarcity conversation either
in I don't have enough or I haveI have enough, but I'm afraid
(03:57):
to spend it.
So the people who spend it allare the people who save it,
hoard it.
Right, those are two separateends of the spectrum of scarcity
.
So letting go of the scarcitymindset is how I believe we make
more money.
And then finally, like theenergy, right Money is an energy
(04:22):
exchange.
Right, money is an energyexchange.
And most of us put way too muchenergy in the power that money
has, instead of looking at I ammore powerful than money.
My human beingness, I'm morepowerful than money, and so when
you come from that perspective, then the the floodgates open up
(04:44):
.
I love what you said about I'mmore powerful than money.
I understand money as acurrency has power because it
allows you to purchase thingsyou desire and want.
I get that, but that whole ideaof I'm more powerful than money
(05:05):
, that hit home for me.
That hit home because thinkabout it.
When someone hears that they'regoing to go first, I promise
you the first thing they'regoing to think is that's not
true.
So all the listeners out thereI know you're thinking that's
not true.
Money is more powerful than me,but you have to realize, first
and foremost, all the companiesin the world that make a good
(05:26):
amount of money.
Who's up there.
The whole thing that they'reserving us with is the value
that they offer.
The minds of all those peoplecame up with an idea, executed
that idea and we bought intothat idea.
And we bought into it by givingthem money for the thing that
they do to make our lives easier.
There's no one out thereselling money for money, right?
(05:48):
So the fact that you said I'mmore powerful than money, yeah,
Write that down.
Listeners, make sure you putthat in your mantra, your
affirmations list, Cause that islife changing, Absolutely.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
Yeah, and I love what
you said about money being
currency.
A lot of us feel like, you know, money is this thing that we,
we really don't understand it.
Right, we don't understand thatit is a currency.
And when you think about what acurrent actually is, right,
it's like electromagnet orcurrent as in, like the waves in
(06:27):
the ocean, and these things aremeant to go in and go out.
Money is meant to go in, comein and go out, just like the
waves are and just likeelectricity currents.
And when you think about moneyas electricity, when you think
about money as water, it takeson a different meaning.
(06:49):
It doesn't have as much controlover you as it would if you
were thinking of it in the waythat we typically think of it,
like it's out there, we can'tget it, we can't get enough,
can't get enough and while andyou know, like I said earlier,
like giving our power away to itit's, it's actually, you know,
(07:14):
it's so backwards, it's so true,it's flow.
Mia LaMotte (07:15):
I love using the
word flow.
Money is flow, just like howyou described it.
It comes in and it goes out.
If we stop the flow of it, itdoesn't.
It doesn't come back.
It has to continuously flow.
It's what keeps our economygoing right.
We put money in it and we getthat money back.
We show up for work, we do ourjob, someone pays us and the
reason they got paid is becausesomeone paid them.
(07:36):
Absolutely, it flows.
But I don't think people get iton their individual spectrum.
They understand it from themacro, but when it's the micro
point of view they're forgetting.
That is how it's something Ilearned from a book called Happy
Money, where when I go out andI do a tip, no longer is a tip
(07:57):
painful, but a tip is successfor me.
A tip is like I get to saythank you in a certain way to
this human being who didsomething for me that added
value to my life.
And then when I tip them, theyget to go out and do something
they enjoy with the money I'veinvested or given to them.
And when I saw this new pointof view, I was like, oh, this is
(08:19):
really good.
I was like this is something Ican buy into, I can believe,
because it is a fact For me.
It is a fact.
I'm assuming everyone elseshould know that if you give
someone money, they get to useit in the way they choose.
So I think that's so, so good.
Now here's the thing as anentrepreneur, most of the
(08:42):
services that are sold toentrepreneurs is how to make
money, and it's usually throughsales, teaching them how to sell
, teaching them how to market, and we have a specific framework
for selling and marketing.
Like for marketing, you need togo out and do advertising, you
need to get out, you need to dothis, you need to do that Right,
and that's all I believe istrue.
(09:03):
You need to do this, you needto do that right, and that's all
I believe is true.
But what happens when someoneshows up doing that work but
their energy is low?
And their energy is low becausethey don't think that it's
going to really work for them, because somehow for them it
doesn't work like everyone else?
And I want to know do youbelieve, if someone has low
(09:23):
energy and really in their mind, this limiting belief, this
story that they kept tellingthemselves is not going to work
for me, it's not going to workfor me, I'm never going to make
money Do you think it's possiblefor them to learn the framework
and then make money all of asudden, or no?
Speaker 3 (09:38):
No no way, no way.
So, oh, there was so many goodyou know tidbits that you just
said just now.
So the first thing I would sayis, like I believe the low
energy comes from, you know, thelack in belief, like you said,
of that it's going to work, butI believe it's even deeper than
(09:58):
that.
Like, when we don't really knowourselves or trust ourselves,
it's really hard for us toconvey to another person that
what I have to offer isabsolutely going to change your
life.
What I have to offer isabsolutely going to give you the
results that you're looking for, and the reverse is true as
(10:22):
well.
Like, if we don't trustourselves, we're not going to
really trust other people.
So, you know, I liken it tohiring coach, right?
So if somebody hired you butthey don't really trust
themselves to do the work thatyou're teaching them to do,
right, like, it's not going tobe successful.
You're not going to besuccessful if you don't put in
(10:43):
the work Right, exactly, yeah.
So I think the biggest thing, though, is like trusting
yourself, but knowing yourself, and when you know yourself, you
do show up in a different energy, you do show up more confident,
you do show up in a way thatconveys to people that, oh yeah,
(11:04):
she knows what she's doingRight, and I really want to get
to know her she knows what she'sdoing Right and I really want
to get to know her Right Exactlyand that all stems from
confidence confidence in whatyou're selling.
Mia LaMotte (11:16):
Clarity usually
leads to confidence, right?
A lot of clients that I have.
Sometimes the clarity is allthey're missing.
I feel like sometimes that'sthe missing link to making money
.
But here's the thing Everyonetells you when it comes to
clarity and confidence, youreally can't sell it, so you
have to sell the framework toget them through the door and
(11:37):
then, when they get through thedoor, ask the questions.
That gives them clarity andconfidence plus the framework.
Right.
And I think it's so amazingbecause, as this new year
approaches, as we're in it andthere's so many opportunities at
our door, if you don't do thedeep work, really do the deep
(11:58):
work making money will feel likethe most challenging thing for
you all of the time.
Time.
And I truly believe you have togo in with the open mindset of
one.
What I'm offering is it reallyvaluable?
(12:20):
And no, it's not valuable toeveryone.
The 1 billion whatever numberpopulation?
No, because everyone doesn'tneed what you have, but there is
someone, or the number you need.
If you do your reverseengineering, your financials,
you know that number and I justwant them to understand that
their limiting beliefs are likeliterally standing in their way.
You know what I mean, mia.
(12:42):
Do you recall in your journeyas being an entrepreneur what
your limiting belief was?
That was standing in your wayof growing your business?
Speaker 3 (12:52):
Oh, so many, and they
still show up.
Okay, I don't want people tobelieve that they don't show up
for me, because they do.
However, I am aware of themquicker than I used to be.
And just what you like, justwhat you just said.
You were talking about, youknow, being in a new year and
(13:12):
opportunities being right at ourdoor.
I remember having aconversation I was at lunch with
two colleagues.
Both of these people aresuccessful.
One has a multimillion dollarbusiness, one you know in the,
in the six figures, you know inthe six figures, and we were
(13:34):
having a conversation about theopportunity that is here in
Raleigh, north Carolina, rightnow, where I live, and I
remember thinking, before wewent to lunch, how everything is
getting so expensive becausethere's so many people moving
here.
And then immediately having thisconversation with them at lunch
and here they are talking aboutall of the opportunity because
(13:56):
of all of the people that aremoving here and recognizing for
myself, right, like, oh my God,that was a limiting belief, that
was a belief that I was havingabout, you know, housing prices
going up, food going up, likeall of these things.
And here is some two otherpeople, right, that I respect
and admire who are saying justthe opposite.
(14:18):
And so it's really about for melike having that awareness,
like really quickly, because Istill like, I still have these
beliefs but being in spaceswhere there are people who think
differently than I do and willcall me out on my BS, because
these are two people that Itrust to call me out on my BS
(14:38):
too.
Mia LaMotte (14:40):
Yes, oh good,
that's a good fact too.
Who are you around?
Proximity is power, and I gotthat from Tony Robbins and it's
the people you surround yourselfwith.
Because imagine when you saidwhat you said and if you had two
people around you who believedwhat your limiting belief was
(15:01):
like, that was fact.
You all would have beencorralling like, yeah,
everything is going up,everyone's moving in, all the
things, and you left believingthat limiting belief was a fact
because two other people agreewith you that you trusted yeah,
yeah and I'm.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
And what really
helped me was like I didn't even
say that, I wasn't saying thatto them.
All of that was going that wasmy head trash.
That was head trash.
I didn't say that.
The conversation naturally wentthere.
So it was almost like I gotthis answer to the inner voice,
(15:40):
the inner voice Like I washaving this inner dialogue with
myself.
And then here comes these twoguys say oh my God, look at all
the opportunity that's here.
Mia LaMotte (15:49):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
Thank you.
Right, and this goes back tosomething that you said when you
were talking about the tip andbeing gratitude.
Like I don't know about you,but when Oprah first started
talking about gratitude, Ithought it was this lofty idea.
I really didn't get it.
I honestly didn't get it backin the 90s what she meant by
that.
And now that I'm anentrepreneur, now that I am, you
(16:15):
know, understanding theseconcepts, like everything just
goes, like you said earlier,it's, it's deeper than what you
think.
Everything is deeper thansurface level everything.
And when we when I really gotinto this whole thing about
gratitude and really looking athow, how the world works and
(16:37):
being grateful for like breathright, when we think about our
bodies and we don't have to doanything for them to work, yeah,
it really does change myperspective.
Mia LaMotte (16:50):
So true, so true.
I recall in the 90s, all of thethings right, I forgot his name
, eckhart Tolle, when he came upwith the power of now and all
of those things, the paradigmshift which is mindset shift,
and it felt like it was aboveand beyond, it was over my head.
(17:10):
I was right there with you, like I think people were.
Yeah, and as time came by, weall started to get on that page.
Gratitude came into our lifewhere today now, we can speak
about it and people canunderstand it better, today,
absolutely, and even what youwere sharing about you being
with those people and theconversation led there because
(17:31):
your inner critic was goingabout all the things and they
were able to say look at all theopportunities.
If you didn't have them, whowere doing such amazing things
sorry, that would have limitedyou your inner voice could have
won that battle if they didn'tsay what they said Right.
(17:57):
And I think it's so importantthat, as entrepreneurs, when we
seek out people to assist us inour journey, it's always better
to seek out people who thinkdifferently than us, because if
we're in their container, theylift us up rather than keep us
where we are or limit us evenmore container.
They lift us up rather thankeep us where we are or limit us
even more.
And I think that's so importantbecause there are some
(18:18):
containers that I would go intoand I'm just like there's one.
I'm different.
So sometimes I got to realizethe container wasn't for me,
like the people serving exactlyneed what they need in here.
But there are moments it feelsstuck.
There are moments it feels likeno one is talking about six
figures, no one's talking aboutyour energy.
Your energy is what you need toput behind when you're selling.
(18:39):
If your energy is low, there isno one coming into you in a
console and being like I'mbuying what you're selling
because they don't even believeyou, believe it, they don't
believe you, they don't believethe product.
You know what I mean.
So I always tell people make.
I love the question how to makemoney, cause everyone goes into
marketing and sales and all thethings, and I'm just like, if
(19:03):
you think that's it, you'regoing to be on this beautiful
hamster wheel for a pretty longtime.
I remember, I remember beingthere and I go.
Yeah, you got to do all of that.
But if your energy is not in astate where you're clear,
confident in what you're selling.
No matter what framework youput in place, you're going to be
stuck, you know.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
Yeah, and I think you
know, and, and our energy, like
we attract what our energy is,right.
So if you think about yourenergy as a magnet, when, when
you are, when you are low anddepressed and and feeling a
certain feeling that kind of way, you attract more of that into
(19:46):
your life, right, that's whatthe law of attraction is about.
Most of us don't realize that.
That's what it means, right.
We attract who we are, not whatwe want, Exactly Right.
And so when your energy is high, when your vibe is high, your
vibration is high, like Oprahtalks about this too.
I didn't get this before either, I get it now.
(20:07):
We're in a vibrational universeand what you vibrate, what your
energy is, is what you attract.
I was just seeing something onInstagram and when I say, like
things go so much deeper than werealize, this woman was talking
(20:28):
about the energy of clothes, like I'm an image consultant as
well, talking about the energyof clothes like I'm an image
consultant as well, and so I Igot this concept like right away
.
But she was talking about howthe energy of a person who's no
living is is who's no longerliving, is like like 50 and and
I'm just using these numbers asa reference.
Right, she says polyester right, which is synthetic, has the
same energy as a dead person.
(20:49):
So when you put these deadclothes on your dead body and
you're still alive but on yourdead psyche, you're not
vibrating at the highest levelthat you could be vibrating at.
So when you use natural fiberslike cotton and silk and linen
(21:09):
and things like that, youvibrate at a different energy
you do.
The food that we write, thethings that we drink, like all
of these things matter.
The things we put in our body,on our body.
It matters, right, your largestorgan, and you put clothes on
every day and you never thinkabout the energy of the clothes,
the energy of the people whomade the clothes, like all of
(21:35):
that stuff matters and itaffects your energy.
Mia LaMotte (21:39):
It does, it does.
Yeah, and I love that youbrought the clothing up, because
I have a thing where in thepast I would wear darker clothes
and as I got older I started togoing brighter and I like
bright and I used to rememberalways being scared because I
didn't know how to match.
I didn't think I knew how tomatch to the point.
(22:00):
Now I just dress and I dresswith no consciousness, but
somehow when I make it at myhouse I dress really well for
someone to give me a complimentand it allows me to show up
differently.
My clothes that are vivid andbright.
They just make me feel like myenergy is like a hundred, like
thousand.
So when I show up in the room,I show up in the room like the
same energy is coming out of me.
(22:20):
And as even we speak about this, there's some people who are
not going to understand this.
They're not going to get thattheir energy can be vibrated or
increased based on what theywear, what they eat and expect,
exactly what they think.
(22:41):
Right?
These are the things that helpus make and attract money.
Right?
If you walk into a room withconfidence and there's someone
in there who potentially mightbe looking at your IG and
thinking, oh, this person'sinteresting, and now they get to
see you and you're radiating,Do you not know they're going to
(23:01):
walk up to you?
Do you not know they're goingto be interested in everything
you have to say, holding on toyour words, and what we're
trying to say today is that, asan entrepreneur, your limiting
beliefs are minimizing yourenergy.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
Yes.
Mia LaMotte (23:19):
Tell them again,
we're trying to tell you today
your limiting beliefs areminimizing your energy, they are
sucking life out of you and ifyou continue to allow them are
sucking life out of you and ifyou continue to allow them to
suck life out of you, makingmoney will not be possible.
You will make money, but you'realways going to feel like
(23:41):
you're not making enough and youmight have some scarcity there,
because that's part of yourlimiting belief.
But what I'm hoping to do inthis series is give you an
opportunity to learn how toincrease your energy, how to
rise, and having all of theseamazing speakers and
(24:02):
professionals like Mia come inand share a little bit about
that, share a little bit aboutthat.
So one I want to know, as animage consultant, what are three
tips you think you can give tothe audience about how to
increase their energy throughtheir image, through their
clothing, through their justshare with us.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
Sure.
So I would say the first thingis about the actual things that
you put on your body, right?
So it's not just about the theclothes and where they come from
.
It's also going to be about thecolor.
Right, you talked about wantingto express yourself in a
different way and wearing thesebright colors and how the bright
(24:40):
colors gave you more energy, right, right, everybody can't
pull off bright colors, everybody can't wear a bright
color, and a bright color maydrain their energy.
So knowing you know throughcolor analysis, knowing what
colors work for you, will giveyou energy.
Wearing clothes that are inharmony with your natural
(25:06):
coloring is what's going to giveyou energy.
The second thing that I wouldsay is when the clothes fit you.
Well.
There's so many people thatwear clothes that are too big
because they're trying to hidethemselves, or they wear clothes
that are too small becausethey're trying to show off
something or they don't reallyknow fit.
(25:26):
Right, when your clothes don'tfit you, you're also limiting
your energy and how your energycan be projected.
And then you know, finally, like it's all about how much you
are in love with your body andwe all have things that we don't
like about our bodies, right?
(25:47):
But what I would say is that themore you get in love with your
body and appreciate it for thethings that it does do for you,
like I said, we don't have tothink about breathing, we don't
have to think about our eyespopping open when we wake up in
the morning, we don't have tothink about how to walk right
these things.
We don't have to think aboutour heart beating.
(26:07):
We have to think about keepingour heart pumping all day long.
Like do you understand howdifficult it would be for us to
do that?
Yeah Right.
So like, get in love andappreciate and honor that about
our bodies, instead of oh, youknow, I don't really like, you
know, my belly or I don't likewhatever, you know, I don't
(26:28):
really like my belly or I don'tlike whatever parts of my body
Getting into appreciation aboutthe fact that our bodies are so
intelligent and they do so muchon their own that all of those
other things can just exude fromthere, and then you get the
energy from that.
Mia LaMotte (26:44):
So true, so true.
And here's the thing Rememberwhen you spoke about gratitude?
Yes, and you spoke right justnow about body.
If you find the things you'regrateful for about your body, I
promise you you don't have spacefor the negative you don't.
If you find the things that youare not comfortable with, but
(27:05):
you find a way to love themanyway, that gratitude will give
you energy as well.
There was a moment, I think twoyears ago maybe a year or two,
because we're in 2024, maybe2023 was my transformation for
my body, where my body hasalways been amazing for the
external right, Like everyonewould see me, I have a specific
(27:27):
shape that when I was younger, people would compliment and I
never even knew.
It was a thing, I promise you.
When they complimented, I waslike I don't know what you're
talking about, because my worldwas not about shapes of my body.
But as I got older, I embracedit and I still have it After two
pregnancies.
I'm grateful I still have it.
But even though I have that, Istill had flaws that I felt were
(27:50):
mine, but I had to reframe them.
The energy, trust me, theenergy then was so low, but once
I started falling in love withevery part of me that I was
questioning, uncomfortable andjust appreciating that I still
have them, because people don'tget to keep certain body parts.
(28:10):
People go through illnesses anddiseases that literally take
these things from them.
And for me to still have minerelativity I had to be like,
okay, how can I appreciate it?
Because one day it could begone it's not guaranteed, it is
not so I wanted to learn how toappreciate them in that moment
(28:31):
and just appreciate them everyday.
And as I transfer andtransferred into that, I felt
the energy rise.
I feel the joy that I live withevery day where I go out in the
world, and nothing shifts me.
But I can shift the mood ofanyone because of who.
I am Right, and with that comesthe ability to give value to
(28:56):
the people you're here to serveand to increase your financial
gain in the world to make money, yeah, and the fact that we have
so many opportunities to shiftour energy clothing being one
thinking about what we're eating, what we put on, colors, the
(29:17):
way we feel about ourselvesthese are all factors that are
available to each and every oneof us.
It's not like Mia only gets itand we don't get what she got.
You know what I mean.
It's available to all of us.
It's not like Mia only gets itand we don't get what she got.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
You know what I mean.
Right, it's available to all ofus and I love how you talk
about like energy has been likemostly what we're focusing on
today, right?
Mia LaMotte (29:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
And what I know for
sure, as Oprah would say like I
don't know why I'm doing allthese Oprah references today,
but yay to Oprah.
But what I know for sure islike where your energy, where
your energy goes, right, yourattention goes.
That's where energy flows.
And so when we're talking aboutappreciation for our bodies
(30:00):
right, your body is like oh, sheappreciates me.
Today I'm not going to.
I'm going to make sure that shehas the best experience in her
body today.
Oh, she appreciating her bankaccount today, I'm going to make
sure that that bank accountgets filled up today.
So it's all about whereattention is going.
So, if you think about, this isone of my favorite references
(30:24):
Like, when you think about whenwe wake up in the morning, most
of us are waking up with oh myGod, it's cold outside.
Oh my God, I have to go to thisjob.
Oh my God, I don't have anyclients.
Oh my God.
Like we're waking upcomplaining about what we don't
like about our lives, instead ofwaking up with that jumping out
(30:45):
of bed, energy, ready to noteven face the day but be a be a
co-creator in the day.
Mia LaMotte (30:53):
Exactly.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
Right, cause most of
us are.
If we, if we go in with theenergy, if I'm facing the day,
of course we're going toexperience a day that we have to
face, but if we go into the daywith, oh, I'm co-creating this
bad boy, like when we're in thatenergy, like think about all of
the possibilities that canhappen, and I think for me it's
(31:18):
all about that, it's all aboutmy come from Right, it's all
about my come from.
Mia LaMotte (31:25):
That's so true.
That is so true.
Let me give you guys anothermantra.
When I get out of bed, thefirst thing I say, when I open
my eyes, it's an amazing day.
It is amazing, and I only youknow why.
I know it's amazing Because I'mbreathing.
I get to do something today, Iget to show up, and that's what
makes it amazing.
That's where the joy comes from.
(31:45):
And I love what you said aboutco-create.
Co-create your day rather thanface your day head on.
Yeah, that's a different typeof energy too, oh my goodness
Cause co-creating is like beingin the world and giving value
and showing up to the peopleyou're meant to serve, whereas
(32:06):
facing the day is like all thethings that can go wrong,
they'll go wrong and I have toface them.
Speaker 3 (32:12):
Yeah, that Murphy's
Law is.
I mean, you know, I get it, butwe're in a different world
today, like Murphy's Law doesnot need to apply unless you
want it to, right.
Yeah, I believe that you know,if we come in with, like I am
co-creating today andco-creating can have, like this,
(32:35):
heavy lift, if you allow it,right.
But you know, if you believethat spirit, god, you know
nature, whatever you call it, ifyou believe that you're being
guided and you're living onpurpose you talked about clarity
earlier, right, and if you'reclear about what your purpose is
(32:55):
in life, it's really easy toget up, jump out of bed and be
in a co-creation spirit.
Mia LaMotte (33:06):
It is, but people
have to choose it, and I think
that's the challenge, right?
That's the challenge.
When we, as entrepreneurs, business owners, need to choose
certain things in order toincrease the value we give,
right To have that capacity.
And in giving value, that'swhere you make money.
(33:27):
But in order for you to producethe value, you have to get up
thinking not even thinking, butknowing you can co-create.
If you don't get up knowingthat you have value to give,
sorry, making money is going tobe one of the toughest things
you're going to do, and itdoesn't have to be.
Speaker 3 (33:49):
Yeah, and I think,
Nikisha, you hit it on the head
with the knowing, right, and theknowing is not like this
egotistical kind of knowing.
The knowing is from your gut, right, you know because you've
done it.
And here's the other part.
Right, we have to go.
(34:09):
Most entrepreneurs and businessowners and I, you know, when I
say most, I mean me, right?
Um, when I first started out,it was like I was afraid to go
and do the things that I knew Ineeded to do.
I was afraid to have adiscovery call.
I was.
I was actually glad when nobodyshowed up on my calendar so I
didn't have to, you know, have aconversation about you know
(34:34):
what it is that I did and getrejected, Right?
So that was one of the firsthurdles that I would say that I
had to get over when it came tobeing successful.
If you're not doing the things,if you're not taking action in
your business, then you're notgoing to know anything.
(34:57):
You can read all the books youwant to read, you can take all
the courses you want to take.
If you're not actually doingand failing, you'll never have
this knowing as a embodiment,right?
Yeah?
So, you've got to take inspiredaction.
(35:18):
You've got to take any kind ofaction.
It doesn't even have to beinspired Like do something.
Mia LaMotte (35:23):
Exactly, I believe
in the action, no matter what it
is.
Yeah, mia, it was a pleasurehaving you on this and, before
you go, if you can just tie upin regards to three actionable
steps that our audience can takein regards to their limiting
belief and making money in theirbusiness, what would those
three actionable steps be?
Speaker 3 (35:45):
The first one would
be go on a journey of
self-discovery, Be open to newexperiences, figure out what you
really love and go do thatRight.
The second thing would be get amentor, get somebody that
you're paying, get a coach itdoesn't matter.
(36:05):
Get yourself a team that'sgoing to help you level up.
Whether it's whatever it is, Iwould say that is haunting you
the most.
Go work on that first, becausethen the other stuff would be
really easy.
And then, finally, I really diginto gratitude and understand
what gratitude is and start yourday with the energy of.
(36:29):
I am co-creating this and Ibelieve that those three things
would absolutely change thetrajectory of your life and your
business.
Mia LaMotte (36:38):
I know they're true
because that's what I did,
exactly what I did, exactly whatI did.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
And we've been in a
conversation about this before
Exactly what I did, and we'vebeen in a conversation about
this before.
No, we didn't.
Mia LaMotte (36:50):
Yeah Like that's
exactly what I did.
I found me a coach, fell inlove with myself, and after that
my world has changeddramatically.
Hit it on the nail.
So thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (37:02):
You're so welcome.
Thank you for having me.
It was so much fun.
