SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Thank you for joining with me.
This is a new podcast calledLearn to be Loved.
In this podcast, I hope that wecan go on a journey together, a

(00:21):
journey where we learn how to beloved, how to be loved by God,
how to be loved by each other, and in turn, how to love one
another.
When I was putting this podcasttogether, I came across the
realization that it is easy forus to tell someone else that god

(00:47):
loves you we have no problem indoing that we feel good inside
when we express to someone elsemaybe that's hurting or in need
or just needs encouragement andwe tell them god loves you and
we say it with conviction but wedo not or we cannot For some

(01:12):
reason, believe or tellourselves God loves you.
And I pondered this.
Why is it that we can express toothers that God loves you, but
we cannot receive that inourselves?
We truly inside cannot believethis for ourselves.

(01:38):
I want to read one of the mostfamous scriptures ever.
To start off this podcast, it'sone of my favorite.
It's John 3.16.
I'm going to read it in the ESVversion, the English Standard
Version.
It says, For God so loved theworld, that he gave his only

(02:00):
Son, that whosoever believes inhim should not perish, but have
eternal life.
This is such a profound verse.
In it, we've quoted it manytimes, but we tell people God
loves the world, but why can wenot put ourselves in this verse?

(02:26):
Why could we not tell ourselves,God loves you.
We should be able to put our ownname here.
Because the same God that loveseveryone loves you.
And this is the journey that Iwant to take us on through these

(02:47):
podcasts.
I want to bring you to a placewhere you can truly, in your
heart, that the Father lovesyou.
He has nothing but love for you.
He's never disappointed withyou.
He's never angry with you.
He's never fed up with you.

(03:07):
But he constantly andpersistently and relentlessly
loves you.
This is a love that we as humansdo not understand.
It is a love that is hard for usto grasp because it is not a
love that comes natural to us.
I believe that somewhere alongthe way Christianity today has

(03:34):
lost the power of God's love.
We focus We love to focus ondoctrines and Bible translations
and church denominations andteachings and who's accepted and
who isn't accepted.
And somehow we have lost theteaching that the apostles

(03:59):
taught, the teaching that Jesustaught, that the kingdom of God
is here.
Life, new life is here today.
It's not for the future.
It's not...
A happiness in the sweet by andby.
But it's a happiness here.
It's a joy here.
It's a love that can beexperienced here.

(04:19):
It's a forgiveness that wasgiven to you 2,000 years before
you were even born.
It's a joy that comes from theheart.
We need this today more thanever.
We need to touch and tounderstand and to comprehend and
to pass on the love of God toeach other.

(04:42):
But we cannot pass it on trulyif we cannot receive it.
This is where I want us to go.
I want us to go on this journeywhere we can truly receive and
make our own the love of God,the love of a father.

(05:03):
I challenge you to read John3.16 and put your own name in
there.
Do that several times this weekand see if it changes your
heart.
Well, thank you for joining withme.
My name is Shannon Lee, and Ireally appreciate you listening.

(05:27):
And I hope that you...
Go with me on this journey, andI hope you begin to understand
that God is madly in love withyou.
Until next time.
