Failure to See the Signs

When the seven years of plenty which had been in the land of Egypt came to an end, and the seven years of famine began to come, just as Joseph had said, then there was famine in all the lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread. Gen 41:53-54

The Pharisees and Sadducees came up, and putting Jesus to the test, they asked Him to show them a [a]sign from heaven. 2But He replied to them, “[b]When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ 3And in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to discern the [c]appearance of the sky, but are you unable to discern the signs of the times? 4An evil and adulterous generation wants a [d]sign; and so a [e]sign will not be given to it, except the sign of Jonah.” And He left them and went away.  Matt: 16: 1-4

Warrior’s Prayer 

Lord, I come before you seeking the strength and skill to overcome my enemies. Grant me I pray, the wisdom to recognize evil, the courage to confront it, and the strength to destroy it. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
