Although his memory has been watered down by worldly men over the centuries, Saint Nicholas is revered as the Patron Saint and the Protector of Children. “St. Nicholas is protector of little children and youths first of all from evil—the evil of adults, who are responsible for their own evil plans. He is the protector of all from the evil one, who works through us weak humans.”

Lord, I come before you seeking the strength and skill to overcome my enemies. Grant me I pray, the wisdom to recognize evil, the courage to confront it, and the strength to destroy it. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
