Something shifted when I heard about Charlie Kirk's assassination. Though I wasn't his follower, his silencing struck a chord deep within me—a wake-up call for those of us who've played it safe with our faith. Have you felt it too? That nudge to stop hiding, to speak what you believe despite the cost?

Jesus warned us plainly: "If you live on God's terms, the world is going to hate you." As a Gen-Xer who spent decades in survival mode, building comfortable walls around my life, I've avoided boldness. But when the Holy Spirit stirs, procrastination becomes disobedience. The prophet Haggai's words cut straight to my heart: "How is it that it's the right time for you to live in your fine new homes while God's temple is in ruins?" Where have I prioritized my comfort over courage?

What Satan doesn't understand is that silencing one voice often awakens millions more. You don't need a perfect life or a massive platform to speak truth—just a yielded heart and the Holy Spirit's power. When we choose to meditate on what's true, noble, and beautiful as Philippians 4:8 instructs, our minds begin to filter the world differently. While forces try to hijack our focus with fear and division, God is stirring His people across generations. Your voice matters. Your testimony counts. Hey friends, I have been holdingthis new series close to my
heart and waiting for the righttime to release it.

(00:47):
But what is even the right timeto speak up in a world that
hates the truth?
John 15, 18 through 25 in themessage version says If you find
the godless world is hating you, remember it got its start
hating me.
That's Jesus speaking.

(01:07):
He said I picked you to live onGod's terms.
The world is going to hate you.
I'm going to say that again Ifyou are living on God's terms,
the world is going to hate you.
Servants don't get bettertreatment than their masters.
If they beat on Jesus, theywill certainly beat on you.

(01:28):
Hate me, hate my father, it'sall the same.
They hated me, jesus, for nogood reason.
So here I am, answering thenudge of the Holy Spirit and
beginning this Heart and SoulElevation Series today Because
when God says it's time, it'stime Now.

(01:53):
I never followed Charlie Kirk.
I wasn't like a fan of his.
I didn't subscribe to any ofhis channels.
If he had more than one, Ididn't follow him on social
media.
I would see clips like anybodyelse, like a clip would pop up
in my feed and I would watch it.
But his assassination last weekreally hit me deeply.

(02:15):
Not because of who he was, Ididn't really know his name, I
couldn't put a face with thename.
But at Bible study lastWednesday night, you know, our
pastor mentioned that CharlieKirk passed away and I was like,
well, that sounds familiar.
And I looked it up and I waslike, oh him.
And then he told us whathappened.

(02:36):
And you know, his assassinationreally struck me because he
spoke boldly what he believedand he paid the price.
What was it that Jesus said?
If you live on God's terms, theworld is going to hate you.

(02:58):
As a Gen X person, I have livedmost of my life, if not all of
my life, in survival mode.
I have lived most of my life,if not all of my life, in
survival mode Up until my late40s.
Literally, I was just trying tosurvive my life.
That's all I knew.
I was trying to build acomfortable house around myself
and I was playing it safe withmy faith.

(03:18):
I was never the kind of personto boldly proclaim the gospel,
to boldly proclaim that I was aJesus follower, but watching
Charlie's boldness this lastweek reminded me that it's time.
It's time it's time to step up,it's time to speak.

(03:41):
It's time for me to be willingto get out of my comfort zone
and share what I believe.
And that brings me to Haggai,chapter 1, verses 1 through 4.
And this is from the messageversion.
It says a message from God ofthe angel armies.

(04:02):
The people procrastinate.
They say this isn't the righttime to rebuild my temple, the
temple of God.
How is it that it's the righttime for you to live in your
fine new homes while the home,god's temple, is in ruins?
Oh my gosh, if that doesn't hithome, I don't know what does.

(04:24):
So what new home have I beenprioritizing over God?
Where have I been putting mycomfort ahead of what he has
called me to do, as someone withthe spiritual gift of faith and
an intuitive gift of knowingthat has been with me since I

(04:45):
accepted Jesus as my Savior whenI was 18 years old in basic
training.
I know when he is speaking andhe's been stirring this in me
for a while, in me for a while.
Ask my sister, ask my bestfriend, they will tell you.
I have been leaning into myfaith for a while but haven't

(05:08):
been speaking boldly.
I know when he is speaking tome and he's been stirring this
in me for a while.
Me for a while.
Stop procrastinating, speak,build, be bold, proclaim Even

(05:29):
when it's uncomfortable.
Especially when it'suncomfortable, I used to think
my life was too messy.
I mean, I'm not perfect.
Even though I don't believe inperfection, there's something
inside of me that said I neededto be better than what I was to
be able to speak this message.
And that is so much a lie fromthe enemy.

(05:51):
It's ridiculous.
We don't need flashy platforms,we don't need millions of
followers, we don't need perfectlives.
To be faithful, to be bold, tospeak the truth, we need yielded
hearts, we need daily surrenderand we need the Holy Spirit's
power.

(06:14):
Now let's talk aboutdistractions, social media, the
news online, echo chambers.
We are constantly being pulledaway from what matters.
Philippians 4.8, from themessage again calls us to
redirect our minds, to renew ourminds.
It calls us to fill our mindsand meditate on things that are

(06:38):
true, noble, reputable,authentic, compelling, gracious.
The best, not the worst.
The beautiful, not the ugly.
Things to praise, not things tocurse.
The world wants to hijack yourfocus.
There's a part of your braincalled the reticular activating

(06:58):
system, and this is the partthat filters what you notice.
It is always listening.
It is always focusing on whatyou tell it to look at.
Even if you are not activelytelling it what to seek out, it
will seek out what you focus on,out what you focus on.

(07:25):
So when you choose to meditateon truth, when you choose to
focus on the good that actuallyexists in this world, your brain
will follow.
In the wake of Charlie, thatSatan tried to silence a voice,

(07:51):
a very bold voice, but what hedidn't realize was that that
bold voice had actually awakenedfaith in millions of people
around the world.
I believe that people arerising up, not just Gen Z, but
people of all generations, whocan no longer remain silent.

(08:14):
You may have felt silenced, youmay have felt small, you may
have doubted your place in thisworld and the purpose that God
has for you, but I believe thatGod is stirring up his people.
Charlie's voice may be gone,but ours is still here.

(08:36):
So let's not waste our voices,let's speak truth, let's heal
generational wounds and let'srise together and rebuild what
has been neglected forgenerations.
