La musique n’a littéralement pas de frontières dans la vie de Rachel Therrien. Partageant sa vie entre Montréal et New York, elle collabore au fil de ses voyages et tournées avec des artistes du monde entier et ce partage influence sans cesse son riche univers musical. Son nouvel album « V for Vena », avec son quintet de musiciens européens paraîtra en mars 2020. Ce qui ne l’empêche pas par ailleurs de porter de multiples chapeaux, en organisant par exemple les « Jazz Composers Series » dans le cadre du festival de Jazz de Montréal, ou encore de prendre position afin d’affirmer la place légitime des femmes dans le monde du jazz.
