Ever wondered how some people radiate that magnetic self-assurance while others struggle with perpetual self-doubt? The answer might be simpler than you think. Join us as we unpack the transformative power of journaling for confidence building, with a special focus on the thoughtfully designed Lestallion Journal.

We dive deep into what makes a dedicated confidence journal different from any ordinary notebook—from the satisfying weight of 120 GSM ivory paper to the soft faux leather cover that beckons you to write. These seemingly small details create a meaningful ritual rather than just another task on your to-do list. But the magic happens beyond the physical features. When you externalize negative thoughts onto paper, you create distance that allows you to examine them objectively rather than being consumed by them. Structured prompts guide you to acknowledge achievements, recognize strengths, and cultivate a growth mindset—the true foundation of lasting confidence.

Through real stories like Sarah, who finally began completing and sharing her creative projects after documenting her journey, and Mark, who conquered his fear of public speaking by tracking his progress, we see how consistent journaling creates tangible evidence of our capabilities. The beauty lies in its simplicity: just 10-15 minutes daily can initiate a positive feedback loop where self-reflection leads to self-awareness, self-awareness fosters self-belief, and self-belief empowers you to tackle new challenges. Whether you're battling imposter syndrome, seeking creative courage, or simply wanting to quiet your inner critic, this episode offers practical strategies to transform your relationship with yourself. Ready to unlock your confidence potential? It all starts with one journal entry.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey everyone, welcome back to the Deep Dive.
You know how we do things here.
We love to take a topic andlike, really break it down so
you can walk away feeling like,ok, I got this.
And today I think we're all inagreement that confidence is
something that we all, you know, could use a little bit more of,
and we're going to look atsomething kind of interesting, a
specific journal, a tool that alot of people have found

(00:21):
helpful on that path to buildingself-assurance, a tool that a
lot of people have found helpfulon that path to building
self-assurance.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Yeah, I mean, it really is amazing how much of a
difference it makes.
You know, when you feel thattrue confidence, you know, not
just like putting on a braveface but really trusting in your
abilities, being willing toembrace challenges.
And we've been looking at thisjournal notebook for confidence
building Lestallion and it'sreally interesting how it's
specifically designed for thatjourney of building confidence
you know, through journalingpractices.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Yeah, I mean anyone who's used the La Stallion
Journal before knows that theyreally put a lot of thought into
how it feels.
You know it's not just like anyold notebook and you know this
one really stood out to me, likethe paper.
It's 120 GSM ivory paper.
It just has this really niceweight to it.
You know you feel like whatyou're writing matters.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Absolutely yeah.
And that cover you know thatsoft faux leather cover.
It just makes you want to pickit up and use it.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Totally and you know, from a practical standpoint, I
really appreciated the numberedpages in the table of contents.
I mean, how often do you have ajournal and you're like, oh, I
wish I could remember where Iwrote that thing down.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Read or track your progress right.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Exactly, and they have both lined and dashed pages
, which I think is really coolbecause you know, sometimes you
want that structure andsometimes you want that freedom.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
For sure, and I love that little back pocket.
You know, sometimes you find alittle quote or a little memento
and it's nice to have a placeto put that right in your
journal.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Yeah, so so you know, we can see how much thought
went into into creating thisjournal and I think it really
speaks to this, this idea thatthe journaling can be this
really powerful way to to get toknow yourself better, right,
which is which is really thefoundation of confidence.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Yeah, I mean at its core.
That's what we're talking about, Right Creating that dedicated
space, a consistent space whereyou can really explore your
thoughts and your feelings, andthat exploration is what allows
you to build self-awareness.
And then from thatself-awareness we can start to
cultivate that real confidenceand the resilience that comes
with it.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Okay, so let's talk about why use a dedicated
confidence journal.
We all have notebooks lyingaround.
What's the advantage of usingone specifically designed for
this purpose?

Speaker 2 (02:29):
That's a great question and, while any
journaling can be beneficial, Ithink using a journal
specifically for confidencebuilding, like this Listallion
journal, it helps you to reallyfocus your efforts.
It's like creating a targetedpractice.
When you're using a journalwith the intention of building
confidence, You're it's likecreating a targeted practice.
When you're using a journalwith the intention of building
confidence, You're more likelyto engage in those exercises

(02:50):
that are really going to supportthat goal.
And you know, having those 100pages and that table of contents
, it really lets you track yourprogress.
You know, imagine being able togo back and see how your
affirmations have evolved overtime or quickly find those
reflections on on challengesthat you've overcome.
I mean that's huge.
That's a real confidencebooster.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Right, and it's not just about looking back.
It's also about having thatdedicated space to practice
gratitude to you know, maybewrite down some achievements
that you're proud of, even if itseems small, and also to like
strategically brainstormsolutions to problems.
Yeah, you know, it's likegiving yourself that space to
work through things.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Absolutely.
And you know, let's not forget, one of the biggest hurdles to
confidence is often ourselves,right?
It's that inner critic, thatself-doubt, the negative
self-talk, the fear of puttingourselves out there in case we
fail.
I mean, we've all been there,right?

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Oh, yeah, for sure.
And it's not just like afleeting thought, right, Like
those thoughts can really holdus back from making decisions,
from taking chances andultimately, you know, from
feeling good about ourselves.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Absolutely.
It can create this cycle ofanxiety and self-doubt that can
be really hard to break freefrom.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
So how does journaling help with that?
You know how can writing thingsdown actually like change those
negative patterns, especiallyyou know when.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
I think one of the most powerful things about
journaling is that it allows youto.
You know, take those negativethoughts out of your head and
put them on paper.
You know it's like you'reexternalizing them, and when you
can see them in front of you,you can start to examine them
more objectively.
You know it's like, oh, that'sinteresting, I'm having that
thought, and then you can startto work with it.
You know you can challenge it,you can reframe it, so you can

(04:29):
reframe it.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
So it's like creating some distance between yourself
and those negative thoughts.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Exactly, and you know , the Lestallian Journal often
includes prompts, you know, thatare specifically designed to
help you do this.
You know, questions like whatare my strengths or what am I
proud of achieving recently, youknow, and those prompts, they
help to shift your focus fromthe negative to the positive.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
You know, they help you to cultivate a growth
mindset.
And I think the act of writingdown goals, you know, actually
writing them down, it makes themmore real, it makes them more
concrete.
You know, it's not just like avague idea floating around your
head, it's like, ok, this iswhat I'm going to do.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Absolutely.
And you know we've talked aboutthe, the physical features of
the listallion journal and and Ithink it's worth mentioning
again you know how that smooth, quality paper and those
different page layouts, they canreally enhance the experience
of journaling.
You know it makes it feel moresignificant, more like a ritual,
you know, and and when youenjoy the process you're more

(05:30):
likely to stick with it.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Yeah, it's not just about the content, it's about
the experience, right Likehaving a journal that you
actually want to pick up and use.
That makes a huge difference.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Right, and you know, speaking of the experience, I
was thinking about my friendSarah.
You know she's so creative butshe always struggled with
self-doubt.
You know she would start artprojects but she rarely finished
them because she just didn'tthink they were good enough.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
Oh, I know so many people like that.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Right.
And then she got a Lestallionjournal and she started using it
.
And at first she was just usingit to vent, you know, she would
write down all of herfrustrations, but then she
started using some of thoseprompts, you know, like what
small step did I take in myartwork today?
Or what did I learn from thesession?
And she started to see that shewas actually making progress,
you know, even if it was just alittle bit at a time.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
And seeing that progress written down, did that
help her to feel more confident.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
It totally did.
It was like it gave her thesubjective evidence that she was
moving forward, you know, andgradually that self-doubt
started to fade away and sheactually started finishing
projects and she even startedsharing her work, which is
something she never would havedone before, actually started
finishing projects and she evenstarted sharing her work, which
is something she never wouldhave done before.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
It's amazing.
Yeah, what a great story.
I love that.
And and you know, it's not justabout creative pursuits, right?
Like I was thinking about mybrother, mark, he always had a
really hard time with publicspeaking.
You know he would get sonervous before presentations and
he started using a listallionjournal and he would use it to
kind of process his anxiety.
You know he would write downall of his fears and then he
would use prompts to focus onyou know what he had done to

(06:57):
prepare and on the positiveaspects of his past
presentations.
You know even little things.
Like you know, the audiencenodded when I made that point,
or I remember to pause andbreathe.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Wow, it's like giving yourself positive feedback.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Exactly and over time .
You know, reviewing thoseentries it helped him to create
this more balanced perspective.
You know he could see that, yeah, the anxiety was there but
he was also capable and he'd hadsuccesses in the past and
somehow you know writing it downin that journal it made those
positive experiences feel morereal.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Yeah, I mean, it's so powerful to have that record of
your growth.
You know it's like you'recreating a tangible history of
your resilience.
And you know there are somespecific journaling techniques
that can be really helpful.
You know, like establishing aregular routine, even if it's
just for 10 or 15 minutes a day, that consistency is key.
And using those confidencebuilding prompts you know those

(07:46):
are like gold.
And don't forget gratitude.
You know taking the time towrite down what you're grateful
for can really shift yourperspective.
And then you know, every nowand then, go back and revisit
some of your past entries.
You know, see how far you'vecome.
And you know, don't be afraid toexperiment with different
styles.
You know, try free writing, Trybullet points.
You know even sketches.
Whatever works for you.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
I love that for you.
I love that and and it.
You know, it's amazing howjournaling can have all of these
positive effects.
Right, it's not just aboutconfidence.
It's about you know, feelingbetter overall.
It's about improving yourself-esteem.
It's about being more resilientyou know, and I think it makes
sense, because when you write, you're processing your emotions,
you're decluttering your mind,you're you're consciously

(08:29):
focusing on your strengths andyour goals and you know, having
a physical journal, like theListallion, it allows you to
like hold that journey in yourhands.
You know, you can flip throughthe pages and you can see how
far you've come.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Absolutely, and you know we keep coming back to this
.
But the quality of theListallion journal.
It really does enhance theexperience.
You know that nice paper, theway it feels it, makes it more
enjoyable and when you enjoysomething you're more likely to
do it regularly.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Right, it becomes less of a chore and more of a
ritual.
So I think what we're seeinghere is that building confidence
it's not like a one-time fixright.
It's an ongoing process, it's ajourney, and journaling can be
an incredibly valuable tool onthat journey.
You know he can help you todevelop self-awareness and to
cultivate that deep sense ofconfidence that we all want.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
It's about creating that positive feedback loop
right.
Self-reflection leads toself-awareness, and
self-awareness leads toself-belief.
And then you know you'reempowered to take on new
challenges.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
That's a great way to put it.
So for our listeners out there, you know, think about this
could regularly taking a fewminutes to write down your
thoughts you know, acknowledgeyour strengths, track your
progress in a journal.
Could that be the key tounlocking that deep-seated
self-belief that you've alwayswanted?
You know, imagine how thesimple act of putting pen to
paper could change yourperspective and help you to

(09:47):
become a stronger, moreconfident you.
It all starts with one entrycould change your perspective
and help you to become astronger more confident you, it
all starts with one entry.
Well, Hedda, thank you so muchfor diving into this with us
today.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Absolutely.
